This paper presents the experimental results on the strength behavior and failure modes of box beam-to-circular column connections in steel piers. Previous research introduced parameters such as joint central angles, extension of horizontal stiffeners, and use of equivalent web depth, which ignored strength behavior and failure modes of box beam-to-circular column connections. The use of equivalent web depth $d_2$ is not reasonable when central angle ${\alpha}$ is closer to $90^{\circ}$; therefore, a monotonic loading test has been performed for eight connection specimens. From the test, it is identified that the connection with the circular column is stronger than the connection with the box-sectioned substitution column. Also, the strength of the beam-to-column connections with horizontal stiffeners is higher than the one of the no column stiffeners. The concrete-filled effect of box beam-to-circular column connection is also investigated, and the experimental yield strength of the connection is compared with the theoretical one. Also, more a reasonable equivalent web depth is suggested. The failure modes of connection are clearly defined.

To evaluate the results of nutritional education in junior college, the content of lunch box of junior college students were surveyed. Among 749 students in Gunsan Fisheries Junior College, 325 men who had carried a lunch box were selected as subject. All the nutrients except vitamin D given in Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances for Korean people, and foods in lunch box were also considered as a food groups. To see how many students had interests about their own nutrition, people who packed lunch box were also checked. The results obtained from this survey were: 1. All the nutrients except calcium and iron of lunch box were low when compared with Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances of Korean people. 2. Vitamin A was approximately similar to the Recommended Daily Dietary Allowances for Korean people. 3. Over 50% of calorie, protein and niacin were provided by main food, although other nutrients were principally from supplemental foods. 4. Supplemental foods were few in kinds and chiefly salty foods such as preserved and processed foods in the lunch box. 5. There may be a fault in nutritional education in junior college because there were few students who had an interest in their own nutrition.

A RC4 stream cipher is widely used for security applications such as IEEE 802.11 WEP, IEEE 802.11i TKIP and so on, because it can be simply implemented to dedicated circuits and achieve a high-speed encryption. RC4 is also used for systems with limited resources like IoT, but there are performance limitations. RC4 consists of two stages, KSA and PRGA. KSA performs initialization and randomization of S-box and K-box and PRGA produces cipher texts using the randomized S-box. In this paper, we initialize the S-box and K-box in the randomization of the KSA stage to reduce the initialization delay. In the randomization, we use clusters to process swap operation between elements of S-box in parallel and can generate two cipher texts per clock. The proposed RC4 cipher hardware can initialize S-box and K-box without any delay and achieves about 2 times to 6 times improvement in KSA randomization and key stream generation.

This experimental design and response surface methodology (RSM) have been applied to the investigation of the electro-UV-ultrasonic complex process for the disinfection of E. coli in the water. The disinfection reactions of electro-UV-ultrasonic process were mathematically described as a function of parameters power of electrolysis ($X_1$), UV ($X_2$), and ultrasonic process ($X_3$) being modeled by use of the Box-Behnken technique, which was used for fitting 2nd order response surface model. The application of RSM yielded the following regression equation, which is empirical relationship between the residual E. coli number (Ln CFU) in water and test variables in coded unit: residual E. coli number (Ln CFU) = 23.69 - 3.75 Electrolysis - 0.67 UV - 0.26 Ultrasonic - 0.16 Electrolysis UV + 0.05 Electrolysis Ultrasonic + 0.27 $Electrolysis^2$ + 0.14 $UV^2$ - 0.01 $Ultrasonic^2$). The model predictions agreed well with the experimentally observed result ($R^2$ = 0.983). Graphical 2D contour and 3D response surface plots were used to locate the optimum range. The estimated ridge of maximum response and optimal conditions for residual E. coli number (Ln CFU) using 'numerical optimization' of Design-Expert software were 1.47 Ln CFU/L and 6.94 W of electrolysis, 6.72 W of UV and 14.23 W of ultrasonic process. This study clearly showed that response surface methodology was one of the suitable methods to optimize the operating conditions and minimize the residual E. coli number of the complex disinfection.

In this paper, we propose a method of creating a 3D bounding box for an object using a vanishing point to increase the accuracy of object recognition in an image when recognizing an traffic object using a video camera. Recently, when vehicles captured by a traffic video camera is to be detected using artificial intelligence, this 3D bounding box generation algorithm is applied. The vertical vanishing point (VP1) and horizontal vanishing point (VP2) are derived by analyzing the camera installation angle and the direction of the image captured by the camera, and based on this, the moving object in the video subject to analysis is specified. If this algorithm is applied, it is easy to detect object information such as the location, type, and size of the detected object, and when applied to a moving type such as a car, it is tracked to determine the location, coordinates, movement speed, and direction of each object by tracking it. Able to know. As a result of application to actual roads, tracking improved by 10%, in particular, the recognition rate and tracking of shaded areas (extremely small vehicle parts hidden by large cars) improved by 100%, and traffic data analysis accuracy was improved.
Major factors in reducing the stacking strength of corrugated fiberboard boxes in cold storage or transport conditions are high relative humidity, causing elevated moisture absorption by the boxes. The bottom boxes in a stack will deform to the critical deflection causing agricultural products damage there, and eventually additional deflection will cause box collapse and finally toppling of the stack. The study was conducted to determine the water absorption characteristics and the compressive strength of the corrugated fiberboard boxes being widely used in packaging agricultural products in Korea. The sample boxes for the study were selected from the regular slotted containers (RSC) types, and one was the box used in apple packaging (Box A), another one was the box used in pear packaging (Box B). The corrugated shipping containers were made from a large portion of recycled fibers in Korea, and comparing with Box B, Box A was fabricated from fiberboard which contained more percentage of old corrugated containers (OCC) imported from foreign countries than domestic waste paper. The results obtained from the study were summarized as follows ; 1. Equilibrium moisture content (EMC) of the sample boxes was established after about 20 hours, and the EMC by absorption was lower than that by desorption. The EMC increased with the increasing of relative humidity and with the decreasing of temperature, and the rate of increasing was much higher above the relative humidity of 50%. 2. The maximum compressive strength of Box A was about 100 kgf greater than that of Box B on the same enviromental conditions. The strength of the sample boxes decreased rapidly with the increasing of relative humidity. The effect of relative humidity on the strength was a little higher than that of temperature. 3. As the applied load was progressively increased and a level was reached, the vertical side panels ($L{\times}D$) deflected laterally inwards or outwards. The panels deflected laterally inwards at higher relative humidity. 4. The maximum compressive deflection ratio and the critical deflection ratio of the sample boxes were increased linearly with the increasing of relative hunidity, but trends for its ratios showed inconsistant response to temperature.
In this parper, we considered the uniqueness of positive time-solution to equation ${\Box}_g$u(t,$\chi$) - $c_n$u(t,$\chi$) + $c_n$u(t,$\chi$)$^[\frac{n+3}{n-3}]$ = 0, where $c_n$ = $\frac{n-1}{4n}$ and ${\Box}_g$ is the d'Alembertian for a Lorentzian warped manifold M = {a,$\infty$] $\times_f$ N.
In this paper, when N is a compact Riemannian manifold, we considered the positive time solution to equation $\Box_gu(t,x)-c_nu(t,x)+c_nu(t,x)^{(n+3)/(n-1)}$ on M =$(-{\infty},+{\infty})\;{\times}_f\;N$, where $c_n$ =(n-1)/4n and $\Box_{g}$ is the d'Alembertian for a Lorentzian warped manifold.

This study aims to explore the impact of Rehmannioside D (RD) on ovarian functions of rats with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and its underlying mechanisms of action. A single injection of cyclophosphamide was performed to establish a DOR rat model, and fourteen days after the injection, the rats were intragastrically administrated with RD for two weeks. Rat estrus cycles were tested using vaginal smears. Ovarian tissues were histologically evaluated, the number of primordial, mature, and atretic follicles was calculated, and the apoptotic rate of granulosa cells. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and estradiol (E2) levels were determined by ELISA assays. Protein levels of Forkhead Box O1 (FOXO1), KLOTHO, Bcl-2, and Bax were investigated in ovarian tissues of DOR rats. The binding between FOXO1 and KLOTHO was verified by ChIP assay. High-dose administration of RD into DOR rats improved their estrus cycles, increased ovarian index, enhanced the number of primordial and mature follicles, reduced the number of atretic follicle number, and ovarian granulosa cell apoptosis in addition to inhibiting FSH and LH levels and upregulating E2 expression. FOXO1 and KLOTHO were significantly suppressed in DOR rats. FOXO1 knockdown partially suppressed the protective effects of RD on DOR rats, and KLOTHO overexpression could restore RD-induced blockade of DOR development despite knocking down FOXO1. FOXO1 antibody enriched KLOTHO promoter, and the binding between them was reduced in DOR group compared to that in sham group. RD improved ovarian functions in DOR rats and diminished granulosa cell apoptosis via the FOXO1/KLOTHO axis.

In this study, 2-D seepage analysis is conducted for the evaluation of Box-Culvert installation, Cut-off Wall Length, permeability reduction of soil under the Box-Culvert effects on Levee Box-Culvert safety. The result of analysis it is obtained that the safety of seepage and slope stability of levee is declined by the installation of Box-Culver. And also obtained that the piping from poor compaction and cavity around Box-Culvert Is Prevented by the Cut-off wall installation below breast wall and levee toe, so it is recommended that the Cut-off Wall below breast wall and levee toe must be installed. And the Cut-off Wall installed below levee center is considered when the safety of piping is declined for the whole levee section. On the other hand, for the realistic analysis it is recommended that the 3-D seepage analysis is more suitable for the safety evaluation of Box-Culvert installed levee when it is considered that the saturated field is dispersed to the ground.
