Method to Enhance Color Gamut up to 89 % in Bottom Emission Active-Matrix Organic Light Emitting Device

  • Though bottom emission AM-OLED has advantages in respect of mass production, the bottom emission type is underrated due to its low aperture ratio and low color gamut, compared with top emission type. In this paper, we demonstrate that the color gamut up to 89 % can be simply achieved by depositing dielectric multilayers, whose thicknesses are determined using an optical simulation program, prior to formation of Si layer.

  • In order to measure the distance from the bottom in the ocean we use ultrasound altitude sonars. The manganese nodule pick-up device developed by KRISO is also using an altitude sonar to control the gap between the pick-up head and sea bottom. This paper describes the performance of the altitude sonar by an experimental method. The experiment was performed with four ground models in a small basin, Manganese nodule models and water-bentonite mixture was used for setting up the ground models. Buttorworth filter was applied to remove the noise caused by a servo motor and its controller. The results show that the altitude sonar gives a good estimation of the types and slopes of the bottom as well as the distance.

  • Petri nets have been introduced as a powerful analyzing and design tool for the discrete systems such as sequential control systems. However, one of the important problems in its applications is that the model can be analyzed hardly when we deal with large scale systems because of increase of the number of Petri net components. To overcome this problem, some methods for dividing or reducing of Petri net have been suggested. In this paper, an approach for hierarchical expression of Petri net based on Sequential function Chart(SFC) and Bottom Up oriented Mehodology(BUM) is proposed. Especially, some definitions and rules are defined in order to divide and compose sub Petri nets. A measuring tank system will be described as a typical kind of discrete systems and modeled by some sub Petri nets based on the SFC and BUM by the proposed method in this paper.

  • The glass production is classified into an energy intensive industry. This study develops a systematic procedure to derive Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission inventory for the Korean glass industry. Based on the bottom-up approach in which the energy intensity in each production process is characterized, the EBs (energy balances) of glass production processes are derived. And the GHG emission is calculated for each of four types of glasses-flat glass, container glass, fiber glass, and LCD glass.

  • The key objective of this paper is to suggest a pilot model for mobile network interconnection charge calculation by bottom-up long-run incremental costing methodology. Interconnection issues have lately attracted considerable attention by network operators and regulators. However there is no standard by all the network operators' agreement. The costing method is an acute problem because the interconnection charge is directly related to the network operators' revenue. Thus Korea has planned to launch the new interconnection policy based on the current traffic distribution and then we simulate the model in a sample area with virtual data. The results propose objective and reasonable guideline for the mobile network element cost calculation. It can be helpful for calculating price floor or bottom-up long run incremental interconnection charge by regulator.

  • 트리접합문법의 LR상향식 파싱 방법을 제시한다.먼저 트리접합문법의 형식특성을 기술하기 위한 접합규칙 시스템을 도입하여 파싱과정을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있게 한다.트리접합문법은 문맥의존성을 갖고 있는데,접합 순간은 문맥자 유문법 체계로 기술할 수 있음을 보이고,이러한 특성을 기반으로 상향식 파싱방법을 유도한다.본 논문에서 제시한 LR상향식 파싱방법은 트리접합문법에 문맥자유문법의 파싱방법을 변형하여 적용할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • 가입자망 공통활용제도는 기존 시내전화사업자가 기구축한 가입자망을 경쟁사업자들이 기존의 시내전화 사업자들과 동일한 조건으로 사용할 수 있도록 시내전화망 설비를 분리하여 제공토록 하는 제도이다. LLU(Local Loop Unbundling) 제도 시행에 따른 원가산정방식으로 통신망을 재설계하여 이로부터 원가를 산정하는 bottom up 방식의 LRIC(Long Run Incremental Costs)를 채택되었는데, scorched node방식을 채택함으로써 가입자와 전화국의 현재 위치를 인정하고 망의 재설계를 실시하게 된다.

Cross-Corresponding Preparation of Organometallic Acetylferrocene Micro-Nanostructures in Bidirection Using Top-Down and Bottom-Up Approaches

  • The larch-fruit-like acetylferrocene micro-nanomaterials and beltlike acetylferrocene micro-nanomaterials have been cross-correspondingly prepared in bidirection by the top-down and bottom-up approach, respectively, and characterized by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope and X-ray diffractometer. UV-Vis absorption spectra show that the redshift was found in the acetylferrocene micro-nanomaterials compared to that in solution. The formation mechanism of the acetylferrocene micro-nanomaterials is also proposed. This work provides a new strategy for the material synthesis and preparation and may realize the reuse of organometallic materials.

Fuzzy ARTMAP 신경회로망의 패턴 인식율 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of fuzzy ARTMAP for pattern recognition problems)

  • In this paper, we present a new learning method for the fuzzy ARTMAP which is effective for the noisy input patterns. Conventional fuzzy ARTMAP employs only fuzzy AND operation between input vector and weight vector in learning both top-down and bottom-up weight vectors. This fuzzy AND operation causes excessive update of the weight vector in the noisy input environment. As a result, the number of spurious categories are increased and the recognition ratio is reduced. To solve these problems, we propose a new method in updating the weight vectors: the top-down weight vectors of the fuzzy ART system are updated using weighted average of the input vector and the weight vector itself, and the bottom-up weight vectors are updated using fuzzy AND operation between the updated top-down weitht vector and bottom-up weight vector itself. The weighted average prevents the excessive update of the weight vectors and the fuzzy AND operation renders the learning fast and stble. Simulation results show that the proposed method reduces the generation of spurious categories and increases the recognition ratio in the noisy input environment.
