자동차 브레이크용 고분자복합재료의 물리적 특성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Physical Properties of Polymer-based Composite Materials for the Brake of the Automobile)

  • The rapid expansion for the auto-industry and the worldwide trend toward non-asbestos friction materials for brake lining force our industry to transfer into non-asbestos ones from asbestos-based friction materials. Furthermore, it is imperative for the friction materials to have technological excellence and lower production cost to be competitive in the world market. There is no known theoretical procedures to formulate friction materials. It, rather, depends on the trial and error process. Thus, it is quite clear how important it is to accumulate the know-how on the formulation and manufacturing the friction material. This study concerns the practical ways of conceptualizing the formulation and optimizing the manufacturing process. This study focused on the development of formulation for non-asbestos friction material as well as deriving the physical properties of the trial product to prove its validity and applicability. Elaboration of the formula and optimizing scheme of the manufacturing process to get better quality are also sought. Physical properties were obtained by constant velocity test dynamotest, hardness test and strength test. Differential scanning calorimeter was also used to analyze the thermal reactions of organic constituents, microstructures, bond effects, and degree of mixture.

라디칼인젝터를 적용한 정적연소기의 연소특성에 관한 계산적 연구 (Numerical Study on Combustion Charaterestics in a Constant Volume Combustor Having a Radical Injector)

  • A premixed-compression-ignition engine has been studied to improve the efficiency and to decrease exhaust emissions. However those systems have some difficulties for controlling combustion process. Radical is an activated chemical species formed by a chemical chain reaction between reactant and product. When the chain reactions occur, the energy bond of species is broken easily by the released radicals. The combustion chamber of the premixed-compression-ingnition engine is consist of a main chamber with lean premixture and a subchamber with rich premixture. Those are connected by narrow cylinderical connections. With ignition start in the subchamber, many different kinds of radical is jetted into the main chamber. The premixed gas in main chamber is quickly burned up by the radical ignition in multi-pionts. In this paper, the combustion phenomena in a constant volume combustor having a radical injector are numerically analyzed. The some constants in the reaction rate equation are adjusted by the experimental results tested in the same geometrical chamber. The code is applied on the two combustors in a wide range of equivalence ratio. The results show that the burning time is much shorter in the combustor having radical injector.

해양 플랜트 배관용 이종 소재(A105-A312) 및 이종 형상 마찰용접의 용접 특성 분석에 대한 연구 (A Study on Weld Characteristics Analysis of Dissimilar Material (A105-A312) and Shape Friction Welding for Marine Plant Piping)

  • This paper studies the main parameters of tube-to-bar dissimilar material and shape friction welding for piping materials. The weldability of joint parts was investigated with respect to tensile tests, micro-Vickers hardness, the bond of area, and optical microstructure. The specimens are tested as-welded. Optimal welding conditions are n = 2000 rpm, HP = 50 MPa, UP = 100 MPa, HT = 5 sec, and UT = 10 sec when the metal loss (Mo) is 11 mm. Moreover, the same two materials for friction welding are strongly mixed with a well-combined structure of micro-particles without any molten material, particle growth, or defects. Therefore, the expected result of dissimilar material friction welding includes a reduction of cost and material in the welding process.

  • Lippin cott/schroeder 포텐샬 함수는 O-H---O와 같은 수소결합 시스템에 응용되고, 좋은 데이터를 주기 위하여 약간 수정된다. 이 모델의 사용은 Van der Waals 반발력과 정전기적 상호작용을 표현하는 항들을 요구하며, 이들 항들은 평형조건으로부터 결정된다. 이 간단한 모델을 사용하므로서, 주파수이동과 수소결합 형성의 엔탈피 관계는 직선이 될 것으로 예상되며, 이것은 문헌에 있는 실험적 결과와 일치한다는 것을 보여준다.

국부적 후면 접촉 구조를 가지는 실리콘 태양전지의 Passivation 특성과 태양전지 특성에 관한 연구

  • TCAD simulation을 이용하여 국부적 후면 접촉 구조를 가지는 단결정 실리콘 태양전지구조를 형성하고 실리콘 기판과 후면 passivation막 사이의 계면 특성 변화에 따른 태양전지의 전기적, 광학적 특성 변화에 대해서 연구하였다. 상기 연구를 진행하기 위하여 process simulator를 이용하여 후면에 국부적인 doped BSF region을 형성하고 device simulator를 이용하여 실리콘 기판과 후면 passivation막 사이의 carrier recombination 특성을 변화시켜 태양전지의 광학적, 전기적 특성을 분석하였다. Carrier recombination velocity의 감소에 따라 국부적 후면 접촉구조를 갖는 태양전지의 특성이 증가하는 것으로 관찰되었다. 이는 후면에서 실리콘과 박막 사잉의 결함이나, dangling bond에 의해서 carrier들이 재결합하는 확률이 줄어듦과 동시에, 후면 전극에서 carrier를 수집할 수 있는 확률이 커지기 때문이며, 800 nm 이상의 장파장영역 광원이 후면 passivation 박막에 의한 reflection으로 이차적인 carrier generation으로 인한 영향으로 판단되며 quantum efficiency 분석으로 규명하였다.

샌드위치패널심재로 활용한 St/BA 개질 다공성 경량 콘크리트의 특성 (Properties of St/BA Modified Cellular Lightweight Concrete as Sandwich Panel Core)

  • Sandwich panel is composed of the facing sheets which support the external load, the cellular core with the low thermal conductivity and the adhesive agent to bond them. The cellular core was produced by binding lightweight cellular aggregates with cement and two types of acrylic base St/BA emulsion were added with a view to improving the workability ion due to high absorption of light weight aggregate and to develope more strength, respectively. This investigation is to comprehend the effect of the addition of two types of St/BA on thermal conductivity, calorific value and exhaustion content of noxious gas in addition re compressive and flexural strength. Flexural strength of the specimen made with St/BA-2 ranged 20kgf/cm2 to 25kgf/cm2 and was about 50% to 100% as high as that of the non-fiber specimen. Thermal conductivity was recorded from 2.0 to 3.0 kcal/mh$^{\circ}C$ and calorific value of St/BA modified specimen was much lower than that of commercial sandwich panel core of EPS and urethane. Careful caution has to be taken because generation of noxious gas such as CO, NO and SO2 tend to increase with addition of polymer cement ratio.

  • 본 연구에서는 슬러지 및 폐타이어 칩(WTC)으로부터 얻은 폐석분을 충전제로 하고 불포화 폴리에스테르 수지(UPE)를 결합재로 하여 고분자 혼성복합재를 제조하였다. 또한 무기 충전제와 매트릭스 사이의 계면 결합뿐만 아니라 매트릭스 내의 충전제의 분산을 향상시키기 위하여 실란[${\gamma}$-methacryloxy propyl trimethoxy silane(${\gamma}$-MPS)]을 이용하여 표면처리를 하였다. 혼성복합재의 구조적 특성과 기계적 물성에 대한 이 무기 재활용 충전제의 함량과 농도의 영향은 Mercury Porosimeter 및 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

초속경 라텍스개질 콘크리트의 초기수축 및 구속건조수축 (Early-Age and Restrained Shrinkage of Very-Early Strength Latex Modified Concrete)

  • Recently, very-early strength latex-modified concrete(below ; VES-LMC) has been developed for repairing and overlaying the old concrete bridge deck. VES-LMC provides the advantage of very-early-strength, as well as high flexural strength, bond strength, durability, resistance to corrosion, reduced water permeability and resistance to damage from freeze-thaw cycles. The compressive and flexural strength of VES-LMC are 21 MPa and 4.5 MPa at 3 hours after concrete placing, respectively. However, VES-LMC would have a relatively large shrinkage at early-age because of reduced water-cement ratio, big water self-dissipation, and rapid hydration reaction. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the early-age and restrained shrinkage of VES-LMC, having an experimental variables such as latex contents and cement types. The latex contents included 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%, and the cement types included ordinary portland cement and very-early strength cement.

  • The soil nailing method had used in variable construction field because of construction convenience and reinforcement effect. Especially, the removal soil nailing method is useful support system in vertical excavation. In this study, to develop the wedge type removable soil nailing method for improvement of the removal soil nailing method. Because of the reinforcement materials is most important in soil nailing method, to evaluate the mechanical characteristics during laboratory strength test in this study. To conduct bond strength test of deformed bar combined with a wedged screw inside plastic fixed socket for evaluate the strength characteristics of wedge type removable soil nailing method and evaluate the strength characteristics of fixed socket based on laboratory tests.

장스팬 슬라브 콘크리트의 열화저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on Reducing Deterioration in Long-span Slab Concrete)

  • In this study, fundamental properties of concrete mixed with fiber has been analysed. Compressive strength, tensile strength and plastic shrinkage has been tested to conduct the optimum addition ratio of fiber. Effect to control press concrete's cracking has been tested. The following results could be made as the conclusion. For the flowability, slump decreased about 41-79% when all types of fiber used in the concrete. When the addition ratio of fiber is 1.2%, the slump of concrete decreased about 45%. For the strength properties. all the specimens with different addition ratio of fiber shown higher compressive strength comparing with Plain. Comparing with Plain, cracking decreased when the fiber added. Especially, when NY fiber used in the concrete, the plastic shrinkage did not occurred. In addition, Latex modified concrete(LMC) has improved superior physical and chemical properties. The properties of latex, combined with the low water-cement ratio, produce a concrete that has improved flexural, tensile, and bond strength, lower modulus of elasticity, increased freeze-thaw resistance, and reduced permeability compared to conventional concrete of similar mix design.
