저전압에서의 통전전류를 이용한 인체의 동저항 측정 및 예측 (Measurement and Estimation of Dynamic Resistance of the Human Body Using Body Current at Low-Voltage Levels)

  • The severity of electric shock is entirely dependent on body resistance. When the human body becomes a part of electric circuit, the body resistance is given as a function of shock scenario. Factors which consist of applied voltage, shock duration, body current path and contact area, etc.. The body resistance is defined as the voltage applied to subjects divided by the body current. To secure safety of the subjects, the experiment is conducted on 10 subjects, the body current is limited to 4mA. And only three factors under many shock scenario conditions are used to determine the body resistance. The three factors are the applied voltage, the current pathway and the contact area. The object of this work is to estimate the dynamic resistance of the human body as a function of applied voltage using the body current at low-voltage levels. The data of the body current at low-voltage levels are extrapolated to high-voltage levels using two analytic functions with specified constants calculated by numerical method. Also we can provide permissible body voltage for various copper electrodes on the basis of the data determined with the dynamic resistance and the body current.

Body Plethysmograph를 이용한 Airway Resistance Curve의 임상적 의의 (Clinical Significance of Airway Resistance Curve by the Body Plethysmograph)

  • 연구배경: 기도저항은 body plethysmograph를 이용하여 flow/alveolar pressure의 관계를 측정함으로써 얻어질 수 있는데, 기도저항이 정상인 경우 oscillooscope 상에서 얻어지는 resistance curve가 거의 linear 하나 증가된 경우에는 그 모양이 기울어지거나 loop을 형성하는 경우가 많아 이러한 curve를 분석하여 환자의 임상평가에 도움이 되는 결과를 얻고자 하였다. 방법: 기도저항이 증가되어 있는 환자를 대상으로 body plethysmograph에서 quiet breathing시에 얻어진 resistance curve의 형태를 분석하여 폐기능을 비교하였다. 결과: 1) Resistance curve는 type 1: linear, type 2: ovoid, type 3: sigmoid, type 4: scoop, type 5: paisley의 5가지 형태로 구분할 수 있었으며, 1예를 제외한 type 3과 type 4 및 5는 loop을 형성하였다. 2) Curve의 형태가 특정 질환에 특징적이지는 않았으나 급성질환은 주로 type 1, 및 2, 만성기류폐쇄는 주로 type 3, 4 및 5에 속하였으며, 기관지 천식이나 오래된 폐결핵은 그 정도에 따라 type 1 에서 5까지의 형태를 모두 보였다. 3) Type 1에서 type 5로 갈 수록, loop을 형성 할 수록 기도폐쇄가 심하고 기도저항이 증가되며 잔기량이 커지는 경향을 보였다. 결론: 기도저항을 측정할 경우 기도저항의 측정치 뿐 아니라 resistance curve를 분석하여 기도폐쇄와 air trapping의 정도를 판단하는데 도움을 얻을수 있으며, resistance curve의 모양이 특정 질환에 특징적이지는 않았지만 호기시 loop이 형성되는 경우 심한 기도폐쇄를 시사하였다.

Transition Insert를 이용한 알루미늄과 강판의 저항점용접에서 동저항측정을 통한 모니터링 (In Process Monitoring of Dynamic Resistance during Resistance Spot Welding of Aluminum to Steel using Transition Insert)

  • Automobile manufacturers have employed resistance spot welding(RSW) to join steel sheets for structural rigidity o automobile body. Driven by the need to reduce weight and fuel consumption, car companies have been evaluating aluminum intensive vehicles(AIVs) as a way to reduce vehicle weight without downsizing. During the transition from all steel-construction vehicle body to aluminum intensive body, joining aluminum to steel sheets emerges as a serious contender in automobile body. This paper deals with application of transition material to RSW aluminum to steel. Placing transition material insert between the aluminum/steel interface was found very effective to overcome incompatibility between aluminum and steel. Use of transition insert allows for two separate weld muggets to be formed in their respective aluminum/ aluminum and steel/ steel interfaces. This RSW process was monitored with the aid of dynamic resistance sampling. Typical patterns in sampled dynamic resistance curves indicated formation of sound nugget. (Received February 28, 2000)

걷기와 저항운동이 30~40대 비만여성의 신체조성과 혈중지질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Walking and Resistance Exercise on Body Composition and Lipid Profile of Obese Women in their 30~40s)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a walking and resistance exercise on body composition and lipid profile in obese women. Methods: Fourty three women were assigned to experimental group (n=21) or control group (n=22). The walking and resistance exercise using elastic band was provided three times a week for 12 weeks. Weight, height, body mass index, body fat percentage, abdominal fatness, skeletal muscle mass, body fatness, total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol were measured before and after the program. Paired and independent t-tests were performed using SAS program. Results: Weight (t=-5.35, p<.001), body mass index (t=-4.12, p<.001), body fat percentage (t=-2.33, p =.026), and body fatness (t=-4.32, p<.001) were significantly decreased and skeletal muscle mass (t=2.09, p =.044) was significantly increased after the walking and resistance exercise. Also, total cholesterol (t=-3.03, p =.006) and LDL cholesterol (t=-2.70, p =.011) were significantly decreased and HDL cholesterol (t=2.05, p =.046) was significantly increased after the exercise program. Conclusion: According to the study result, exercise led a positive outcome on obese women in their 30~40s. The walking and resistance exercise will contribute to the improving body composition and lipid profile in this population.

탄성밴드운동이 간호대학생의 체성분, 체력과 건강증진행위에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Resistance Band Exercise on Body Composition, Physical Fitness and Health Promoting Behavior in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a resistance band training program on body composition, physical fitness, and health promotion behavior in nursing students. Method: This study has a one-group pretest-posttest design to examine the change in body composition, physical fitness, and health-promoting lifestyle profile after participation in the resistance band training program. Training consisted of hands-based exercises using an elastic resistance band for ten weeks. Participants performed the resistance band training two days per week with a sports trainer, and 30 minutes self-training three days per week. The participants were 21 freshmen in nursing. Results: Mean age of the participants was 20.9 years, and 61.9% were not satisfied with their body shape. After the training program, muscle mass, muscular endurance, and balance of the body were significantly improved. In health promoting lifestyle profile, categories of physical activity, health responsibility, and stress management showed a significant increase. Conclusion: Results of this study suggested that exercising with a resistance band improved body composition, physical fitness, and health promoting behavior in the nursing students. We propose that resistance band training should be suitable for those who have the environment with limitation of time and space.

저항운동과 유산소운동이 여성노인의 보행능력, 체력 및 신체구성에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Resistance and Aerobic Exercise on Gait Ability, Physical Fitness, and Body Composition in Older Women)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determined the effects of resistance and aerobic exercise on gait ability, physical fitness and body compositions in older women. Method : The subjects were 24 older women who were randomly divided into two groups (resistance exercise, n=12, and aerobic exercise, n=12). They 65~80 years old. The subjects done the Gym-ball, Togu, and senior dance exercise three times per week-for 70 minutes each time for 16 weeks. Body compositions, physical fitness, and gait ability were measured in this study. Result : There were significantly improved the walk performance after exercise training for 16 weeks. In particular, it was more effective on resistance exercise training in older women. There were significant differences in muscle endurance, flexibility, balance, body weight, percent of body fat, and body mass index (BMI) after the exercise program. Conclusion : It was more effective improved on muscle endurance, flexibility, and balance performance after resistance exercise program than an aerobic exercise program in older women.

차체 외부에서의 유동해석 (Flow Analysis on the Outside of Automotive Body)

  • The air resistance about automotive body is studied by the flow analysis in this study. Maximum air flow velocity is shown with 28 to 30 m/s on the upper roof of automotive body. The air flow becomes most regular at automotive body model 3 but the model of 2 or 3 becomes irregular in comparison with the model 1. The maximum air resistance pressure is shown with 413 to 420 Pa at the front bumper of automotive body. The flow velocity at inlet or middle plane of automotive body is shown as the contour same with the model of 1, 2, or 3. But the velocity at outlet plane at model 1 is shown as the contour different with the model of 2 or 3.

고강도 웨이트 트레이닝이 노인여성의 신체조성과 체력기능수행에 미치는 영향 (The effects of high intensity resistance training on body composition and functional performance in elderly women)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 고강도로 실시되는 12주간의 웨이트 트레이닝을 통하여 노인 여성들의 신체조성 및 기능적 체력에 어떠한 변화가 있는지를 규명하는 것이다. 연구대상자들은 U경로당에 정기적으로 출입하는 70세 이상 노인 여성 중에 실험의 취지를 알고 자발적 참여의사를 가진 24명을 선정하였다. 선정된 24명을 무선할당 방법을 통해 두 개의 운동집단인 고강도 저항성 운동 집단 (High intensity resistance group, n=8), 저강도 저항성 운동 집단(Low intensity resistance group, n=8) 그리고 비교군 (Control group, n=8)으로 나누었다. 운동집단은 12주간의 고강도 및 저강도 저항성 운동을 실시하였으며, 비교군은 12주간 어떠한 운동에도 참가하지 못하도록 제한하였다. 연구결과, 12주간 실시된 고강도 웨이트 트레이닝은 근력과 민첩성을 유의하게 향상시켰으며, 체지방률과 체지방량은 유의하게 감소시켰다(p<0.05). 평형성 및 심폐능력은 향상되었으나 통계적 유의성은 없었다. 종합해보면 정기적인 고강도 웨이트 트레이닝은 노인 여성들의 체력 개선에 도움을 줄 수 있는 운동이라 사료된다.
