The purpose of this study is to provide basic data of dress design by researching three-dimensional decorative techniques representing flowers, a popular motif in dress design. This study analyzed 44 dresses that were presented in Valentino collection. The result of this study is as follows: First, the detailing expression method can show various patterns and colors through embroidery technique, sub-materials, and bonding techniques in embroidery, beads flower, and ribbon flowers. Second, the fabric flower technique expressed flower image in three-dimension in more various images than do either the ribbon or beads flower technique. Fabric flowers are mostly made from the same material as dresses. The expression technique of fabric flower is classified into the following three classifications: 1) A technique underlying a flower image with one, two and three large flowers, 2) a technique decorating a large area with a number of an identical motif, and 3) a technique highlighting a part of the body or design line by attracting eyes to one point, creating a corsage decorated where a designer wants to emphasize. Third, a silhouette technique realizes a flower image with a silhouette of a dress like sculpted structure and it is thus used less than a detailing expression technique. A flower image is expressed by making use of body lines or emphasizing the face. Finally, flower images on a dress were realized as a full blossomed flower, through visually streamlined shapes and curved lines.
In this paper, for recognize a night pedestrian from an infrared video, a new method differentiated from the existing feature vector is proposed and experimented. The new approach focuses on the shape feature vector of the structure and shape of the pedestrian image divided by the human body seven split ratio. The pedestrian images are divided into 7 square blocks from the still image of the preprocessing process. And to reduce the dimension, the square block is converted into a mosaic block. The scalar and direction of the shape feature vector is calculated by the brightness and position of the element in the mosaic. For practicality of infrared video system, the proposed method simplifies the data to be processed by reducing the amount of data in the preprocessing in order to continuously batch process the entire system in real time. Through the experiments, we verified the validity of the proposed shape feature vector. In comparison to the existing method, we propose a new shape feature vector generation method as the feature vector for night pedestrian recognition.
To resolve some of the most pressing uncertainties of Peridinium identity, morphological characteristics of Korean Peridinium were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy. The Peridinium samples were collected from three different regions of Juam, Sang-sa and Togyo Reservoirs, when seasonal blooms occurred. Formula of the epithecal plate was recorded with 7 precingular, 3 intercalary, and 4 apical plates (4', 3a, 7"). An apical pore, 3 ${\sim}$ 5 ${\mu}m$ in size, was apparently present. The cingulum was easily observed under light microscope, and was considerably offset by about 15 ${\mu}m$ (2 ${\sim}$ 3 times per cingulum width). The sulcus was straight longitudinally and widened apparently towards the antapex. None of spine was found on the surface of the thecal plates on scanning electron micrographs. The average body length was 50.4 ${\mu}m$ with a range of 29 ${\sim}$ 63 ${\mu}m$. The geometric dimension, as designated to the body length:width ratio, was found from calculation to be 1.12 with a range of 1.00 ${\sim}$ 1.35, therefore, the cell was shown slightly elongated. Based on their morphology, the causative organisms of red tides in three different Korean waters were identified as P. bipes f. occultatum, which was reported for the first time in Korea.

In cold forging, the elastic behavior of the die has a direct influence on the accuracy of the forging part. And the die dimension is continuously changed during the loading, unloading, and ejecting stage. In this paper, we evaluated the elastic deflections of cold forging die during loading, unloading, and ejecting stage. Uni-axial strain gauges are used to measure elastic strain of die during each forging stage. Strain gauges are attached on the surface of die. A commercial F.E.M code, DEFORM-2D$\^$TM/ is used to predict elastic strain of die. Two method of F.E.M. analysis are used to compare with measured and calculated elastic strain. One is to regard the die as rigid body over forging cycle. And then, the die sass is analyzed by loading the die with pressure from the forging part. The other is to regard the die as elastic body from forging cycle. The elastic strain of die is calculated and the die is elastically deformed at each strop. The calculated results under the elastic die assumption are well agreed with experimental data using strain gauges.

Jacket is the basic formal dress for working women, and one of the most frequently worn by them. It has, however, some problems caused by movement, depending on how well it fits. To improve fitness of jacket, this study compared and evaluated the state of fitness objectively by employing a numerical system in relation with clothing and body. We made three experimental jackets based on the previous jacket patterns and used Moire Photo-graphy to measure the amounts of space between clothes and body from the overlap cross section map. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows; 1. According to the measurement result of the pattern by using the One-dimension measurement, the amount of ease in girth item for pattern B was larger than the other two patterns. The amounts of space of each part showed the difference of the positions of princess lines, and the different sizes of the darts. 2. From the result of Moire Photography, the wearing shapes of the experimental jackets were influenced by the characteristics of somatotype. In addition, we could analyze the differences of the patterns with Moire Photography. 3. The amounts of space for waist part was larger than those for other parts. Pattern B scored the largest amount of space for all parts compared with pattern A and C. 4. For only waist part, there existed a significant difference in the average amount of space for the three patterns.

We assessed the effects of various dietary conditions on the growth, phenotypic traits, and morphometric dimensions of rock bream, Oplegnathus fasciatus and on the morphometric dimensions of sectioned olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus. Rock bream in the fed group increased in body weight, standard length, and condition factor, but these parameters decreased significantly for fish in the starved group (P < 0.05). The head connection dimensions of fish in the fed group decreased, while for starved fish there was increase in external morphometric dimensions (P < 0.05). In both species, sectioned morphometric analysis revealed that fish in the fed group had a larger body circumference and cross-cut sectional area, and greater cross-cut section height, relative to the starved group (P < 0.05).

The operation principle of a traveling wave rotary type ultrasonic motor can be successfully applied to the fluidic transfer mechanism of the micro-pump. This paper proposes an innovative valveless micro-pump type that uses an extensional vibration mode of a traveling wave as a volume transportation means. The proposed pump consists of coaxial cylindrical shells that join the piezoelectric ceramic ring and metal body, respectively. In order to confirm the actuation mechanism of the proposed pump model, a numerical simulation analysis was implemented. In accordance with the variations in the exciting wave mode and pump body dimension, we analyzed the vibration displacement characteristics of the proposed model, determined the optimal design condition, fabricated the prototype pump from the analysis results and evaluated its performance. The maximum flow rate was approximately $595\;{\mu}L/min$ and the highest back pressure was 0.88 kPa at an input voltage of $130\;V_{rms}$. We confirmed that the peristaltic motion of the piezoelectric actuator was effectively applied to the fluid transfer mechanism of the valveless type micro pump throughout this research.

Sectional added masses of an elastic beam vibrating vertically on the free surface in higher harmonic modes are evaluated. Hydrodynamic interactions between neighboring sections, which strip theory ignores, are considered for modal wave lengths of the order of magnitude of cross-sectional dimensions of the body. An approximate solution of modified Helmholtz equation which becomes a singular perturbation problem at small wave lengths is secured to get an analytic expression for added masses attending higher harmonic modes. As a bound of the present theory, the modified Helmholtz equation is solved for the long flat plate vibrating at high frequency on the water surface without any limitations on modal frequency. Finally, extensive series of numerical calculations are carried out for ship-like forms. It is found that when modal wave length is comparable to or shorter than a typical cross-sectional dimension of a body, sectional interaction effects are large which result in considerable reductions in added masses. For a fuller section, the ratio of added mass reduction is greater. In the limit of vanishing sectional area, the added masses approach to that of flat plate of equal beam. It is shown that the added mass distribution for a Legendre modal from can be determined form the present theory and that the results agree with the extensive three-dimensional determination of Vorus and Hilarides.

Generally, the current organ projection systems are the MRI and the CT. The MRI and the CT, (MRI) allow the surgeon to see the internal organs without incising the human body. However, since the images generated by the machines are 2D, it is difficult for doctors to observe the internal organs in three dimension. In this paper, we develop the augmented projection system for internal organs by using the augmented reality technology. The developed system shows the internal organs of the body using a holographic lens as a stereoscopic image and allows for doctors to examine the internal organs in detail.
To examine the fate of Strongyloides venezuelensis, Mongolian gerbils (Meriones unguicalatus) were orally infected with 1,000 $L_{3}$ larvae per animal. Altogether, 50 gerbils divided into 5 groups of 10 each were monitored for a period of 570 days to document the kinetics of faecal egg output, adults worm population, morphological development, fecundity, and hematological changes including peripheral blood eosinophilia. This study chronicled a life long parasitism of S. venezuelensis in the gerbil host, and showed that S. venezuelensis infection was quite stable throughout the course of infection and the worms maintained their normal development as evidenced by their body dimension. A progressive loss of body condition of the infected gerbils was observed as the level of infection advanced. However, no detectable pathological changes were observed in the gastrointestinal tract. The present findings indicate that an immunocompetent host, such as the Mongolian gerbil, can serve as a life long carrier model of S. venezuelensis if the worms are not expelled within 570 days after infection.
