The path to becoming a cytotechnologist (also known as a cytologist) in the United States of America (USA) requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree and the completion of a training program certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Aspirants are recognized as cytologists after passing a test administered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification on completion of a recognized cytotechnology training program. Cytotechnology training programs are currently provided by 18 universities and hospitals. Six of them provide master's level education, unifying existing programs to the master's level, which is necessitated due to a shortage of pathologists and the rapid development of the health care system. The improvement and unification of the curriculum, qualification renewal system, and the effort to change the title of qualified personnel from cytotechnologist to cytologist are seen as measures that would strengthen the capabilities of cytotechnologists as well as assist in keeping pace with the rapidly changing medical system. Knowledge about the educational courses available for cytotechnologists and the efforts to strengthen their expertise in the USA would be helpful to professors who guide students preparing for overseas employment and seeking professional improvement in Korea.

Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the education, certification system, and extent of duty of dental hygienist between Korea and five developed countries including United States, Canada, England, Australia, and Japan. Methods : Internet based access to five developed countries was made and the analysis was done for the definition of occupation, main duties, similar occupations, education policy, job descriptions, license certification system, standards of duty, Q & A management, current status of obtaining certification, and scope of work. Results : United States has a two-year associate degree(AS) and a four-year bachelor degree(BS). Canada has two to three years degree and a two-year course is accepted in england and Australia. In the meanwhile, Korea and Japan have two-year and four-year educational courses. The duty of dental hygienists includes the prevention education for dental health and continuing dental health care. Most of the dental hygienists in Korea and Japan play the assistant roles for the dental surgeons. United States has national board examinations including written examinations, practical examinations, and computer assisted examination. Written and practical examinations are also conducted in Korea. England and Australia have the recognized educational organizations for qualification. Conclusions : Problem based and problem solving skills are the most important in dental hygienist education in Korea. The training of highly competent dental hygienists must be done for the improvement of dental hygiene in Korea in the near future.

In order to occupy educational furniture market that grows by the day and to meet demands for alternative product for the current market, this study took business features and productivity of Sinil Furniture Co into consideration, and developed computer desk for education by group, which is new among educational furniture. The scope of the study ranges from data research based on design process into creation of prototype. By improving the condition where, despite that electrically-powered computer desk for anti-theft system is high priced, it sees frequent malfunction, the study suggested low-priced, non- electrically-powered anti-theft system which has more solid structure. Furthermore, in order for the user to be more free and comfortable while studying on it, it differentiates from other products by locating PC main body to the back of the monitor and lowering it below the altitude of monitor to prevent it from interfering with studies. We've made the higher board of the desk in a soft curved-shape in order to lessen the stress from studying. And as space for the monitor's lower mount was decreased, we've put the lower mount below the higher board; so that lacking space can be recovered while functioning as anti-theft system. Moreover, we've covered the PC main body with steel cover so that it would add color and formal luxuriousness to the appearance of the desk. Considering ease of mobility and productivity, knock-down system was introduced.

Reading discussion system based on a Web is a new teaching method which employs a Web as a space for discussion. It enables learners to exchange their opinions to enhance understanding and expand thinking. It is highly required to promote attitude of respecting other's opinions, reasonable thinking, and ability to express thinking in discussion learning based on a Web for interaction. In this study, I developed a reading discussion system, applying the Wiki program, for learners' interaction and tested its usefulness. Through this, it will be possible not to have existing vertical discussion which makes replies on a Web board but to have multidimensional discussion.

Marine pollution prevention manager system has been operated for the purpose of preventing marine pollution from ships and marine facilities in Korea. As a new "marine environment management act" replacing an old "marine pollution prevention act" had entered into force from January 20, 2008, the works and business of the education and training courses for marine pollution prevention manager are scheduled to transfer from KIMFT(Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology) and FHRDI(Fisheries Human Resource Development Institute) to KOEM(Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation) on January 1, 2011. The present state of the education and training for marine pollution prevention managers on board ships was surveyed and analyzed In order to prospect trainee demands for the education and training and to provide KOEM with basic data for establishing a new system for the education and training. The existing education and training courses of KIMFT for marine pollution prevention manager on board ships are classified into a regular course of 21 classes for 3 days, a reeducation course of 18 classes for 2 days and a NLS course of 17 classes for 2days. The annual numbers of trainees in 2008 were 516 persons for regular course, 1085 persons for reeducation course and 135 persons for NLS course in KIMFT. The trainee demands for the education and training were attempted to be predicted on a basis on annual increase rate of ships. The predicted demands for the education and training are changeable depending on the major factors such shipping market, naval architecture industry, etc.

This study is purposed to research the present status and outcomes of adaption of science teacher system in elementary school. The subjects of this study are science teachers, schoolmasters, science supervisors, and 3rd$\~$6th grade students in western office of board of education, Gwangju Metropolitan city. It was found that there are 264 teachers who teach one subject and only two of them were science teachers. In elementary schools, most classroom teachers didn't want to be science teachers and schoolmasters or science supervisors could not afford to adapt science teacher system. After applying science teacher system to 3$\~$6th grade students during one school year, many students were improved in academic achievement and inquiring ability, and they have increased of interest and participation in science activities. This means that science class by science teacher is more effective than that by classroom teacher. Therefore, science teacher system should enlarge to science class in elementary school.

The education system in this paper is used to demonstrate and educate the effects of electromagnetic induction. Placing an aluminum ring over the core and switching on AC source causes the ring to jump in the air due to induced currents in the ring producing a magnetic field opposed to that produced in the core. To control the position of the ring by only the current, it is to require nonlinear control algorithm and control board that is composed of photo sensors, decode circuit, computer communication, and power electronics circuit. This paper provides the development for education system in detail and the effects of dynamic neural networks for nonlinear control with on line is studied.

The Maritime High School's Two plus One Onboard Training system is introduced to increase amount of graduate students to board on a ship for improvement of Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs' policy. Students with this system study in school for two years and complete practices in ship for one year so that graduate students from this system can get officer license with only interview exam. This program Iud been developed to attract more graduate students to board on ships longer according to the fact that students now are avoiding life on ships. Four years after the system had been introduced, this research aims to find out problems of the system by questionnaire regarding practices on ships to current students from which to introduce methods of leading longer lie on ships of students.

Nowadays, Web-based bulletin board system is widely used for e-learning because of its effectiveness in communicating and information sharing. But harmful or irrelevant contents are frequently posted and these affect students in learning community based on Web-boards and the ill effect of Web-board is revealed. Some Web-boards provide features that allow users can filter specific words to resolve this problem but those features have shortcomings. Using these features the content that contains harmful words is always removed even if the whole meaning of it isn't harm and user who uses harmful words habitually cannot have an opportunity of having his/her bad habit be corrected. In this paper, we proposed new way of dealing with harmful words that overcomes those shortcomings.

The smart educational environment using the IWB(Interactive White Board) system has been built and developed since e-learning industry was developed significantly in the early 2000's. Basically the IWB system includes the board writing software, and instructors can further increase the training effect by handwriting on the IWB. In this paper we propose new menu layout mechanism of board writing software that only a few menu buttons are displayed based on the frequency of menu usage and the position of menu layout is dynamically moved according to user's writing position. The implementation of our proposed mechanism shows that it is simple and easy to use without user's unnecessary movement. Therefore it is expected to contribute greatly to the development of a future smart education.
