승선실습 교육의 현황과 개선방안 - STCW '95 개정협약의 발효와 관련하여 - (A Study on the Present Shipboard Training System and Improvement for Merchant Marine Officer)

  • Traditionally, in the education for the trainees of marine officier, the emphasis is laid on the practical training on board to prepare them for the future position on board and to fit them for the shipboard life. Though the education has been carried out in various ways according to each country's social tradition, culture and educational system, in these days it is done normally by the combined way of school education and training on board to get the competence for the marine officer. Thus the shipboard training course is compulsively required to the candidates for certification as merchant marine officers by the IMO STCW convention 1978 and also it is believed that the education for the dacet officers is to be completed through the shipboard training. In spite of the various earlier studies to improve the training education system, there are few studies for the matters and problems form the standing point of cadet.

적응형 웹사이트 구축을 위한 학교용 웹보드 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of a School Web-board System for Adaptive Web Site Construction)

  • 학교 홈페이지는 온라인 상에서 이루어지는 학생과 학생, 학생과 교사, 교사와 학부모 등 교육 주체간 상호작용의 장으로서 그 역할을 담당하고 있다. 특히 상호작용의 수단으로 웹보드를 통해 생성된 게시판을 많이 이용하고 있는데, 기존에 학교에서 사용되고 있는 게시판들은 일반 홈페이지에서 사용되는 웹보드를 이용한 것이 대부분이어서 학교상황에 최적화된 것이라고 보기는 어렵다. 또한, 많은 사람들 이 인터넷을 사용하게 됨에 따라 홈페이지의 컨텐츠에 대한 요구도 다양해졌고, 이를 반영한 홈페이지들은 그 전보다 페이지의 수에 있어 증가를 나타내게 되었다. 이러한 페이지 수의 증가는 사용자에게 다양한 내용을 접할 수 있도록 해 주는 반면 원하는 페이지에 대한 접근을 어렵게 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 사용도를 중심으로 적응형 웹사이트를 구축할 수 있도록 지원해주는 학교용 웹보드를 설계하고 구현하였다.특히 사용도를 평가하기 위한 알고리즘을 제시하고, 일반 학교에서 사용되고 있는 게시판을 분석하여 학교현장에 필요한 게시판을 생성할 수 있는 웹보드를 설계 및 구현함으로 사용자들은 쉽고 친숙하게 사용할 수 있고, 이를 이용한 학교홈페이지는 활용 면에 있어 성과가 있을 것이라 기대된다.

우리나라 해운계 고등학교의 발전 과제와 대응 방안 (Some Suggestions for Development of Maritime High School in Korea)

  • This paper deals with internal and outernal factors of Maritime High School in Korea, and suggests the followings. The fist, superintendent authority of schools should be transferred to ministry of education from ministry of marine. The second, education system should be upgraded to junior college or 5 years education course. The third, the door of maritime university permission should be opened for maritime high school graduates. The fourth, training ship should be built for effective training course required form STCW 95. The fifth, if the graduates form maritime high school engage board, all of them should be exempted from military service responsibility. The sixth, the on board-training system for teachers and instructors should be programmed in order to help them keep and utilize the on board experience in actural education situation. The seventh, the school location should be placed in order to increase the efficiency of the education.

태블릿 기기와 전자칠판 시스템 간의 연동 기술 연구 (A Study on the Interconnection Technology between Tablet Device and Interactive White Board System)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 교육 관련 기술 개발의 일환으로 태블릿 기기와 전자칠판 시스템간의 연동 기술에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 우선적으로 태블릿 기기와 전자칠판 시스템 상에서 강의 자료 관리, 페이지 전환 및 기본적인 판서가 가능한 판서 소프트웨어를 구현하였다. 그리고 이들 판서 소프트웨어들 간에 제어 정보 및 판서 정보를 주고받기 위한 데이터 포맷을 정의한 다음 소켓 프로그래밍을 통해 두 디바이스 간에 실시간 양방향으로 연동하는 기능을 구현하였다. 그 결과로 태블릿 기기 상에서의 페이지 전환 이벤트나 판서 정보는 전자칠판 시스템에 실시간으로 전달되어 대형 스크린에 디스플레이 되고, 반대로 전자칠판에서의 이벤트나 판서 정보는 태블릿 기기에 실시간 표출이 된다. 태블릿 기기와 전자칠판 시스템간의 양방향 연동 기능의 성능을 응답 오류율, 지연시간 및 통신 커버리지 측면에서 자체 평가를 실시하고, 필드테스트를 통해 실제 교육 환경에 적용 가능한 우수한 성능임을 입증하였다.

캘리포니아 침구 및 동양의학 교육과 면허관리 체계 연구 (A Study of the Education and Licensure System of California Regarding East Asian Medicine and Acupuncture)

  • In the United States, California is well known for its rigorous education and licensing system regarding East Asian Medicine and acupuncture. As in most other states in America, the State government controls the practice of acupuncture, massage, acupressure therapy, food therapy, and natural therapy using a board established to set, maintain, and uphold licensing credentials for acupuncturists and practitioners of East Asian medicine. In California the system started in the 1970s when the State Legislature passed a bill to measure competency, and license acupuncturists. This study briefly describes the California Acupuncture Board (CAB), which is authorized to control the related education, examination, continuing education, and management of licenses already awarded. This study addresses the essential and minimum educational requirement established by the CAB for licensure, that is mandate classroom lecture with additional 950 hours clinic training, and the 50 hours of continuing education credits earned every two years, for maintaining the license.

  • In the past, we implemented a web-based smart education platform, but this is not efficient in a smart or mobile education environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an Android-based e-board smart platform for a smart or mobile education system. Here, we use Anoto digital pen- and dot pattern-based technologies. This Android-based smart education platform is efficient for a smart education environment. Further, we implement the hardware and software parts of the technologies, an Anoto-based trajectory recognition algorithm, and a probabilistic neural network for handwritten digit and hand gesture recognition.

임베디드 리눅스 기반의 전자 칠판 시스템 개발 (Development of Electronic White-board Based on Embedded Linux)

  • Recently, most embedded systems have the multi-functions mixed the hardware with the software. The existing sequence programming methods are not suitable to implement the embedded system with multi-functions. So, it can be overcome the limit of a facility implementation by introducing the operating system in system. Also, due to the requirement about the better convenient and comfortable meeting or lecture environment, the necessity of electronic white-board is getting higher. Specially, the education using multimedia information is much more desirable for various and improved lecture at the high school and the university. But the sequence program which have been managed in existing electronic white-board system has some difficulties to achieve the software-oriented systems which has to accomplish many functions. In this paper, we propose the method to implement a facility of electronic white-board through using the embedded linux with excellent performance. The embedded linux presents the powerful software environment for the implementation of an embedded system and makes the realization of many various functions easy because it follows kernel characteristics of linux. In this paper, we describe the details for the structure of hardware, kernel source and device driver of a developed electronic white-board.

수직형 식각 장비의 노즐 분사 시스템에 대한 연구 (A Research of Nozzle Spray System of Vertical Type Etcher)

  • The recent PCB (Printed Circuit Board) wet etcher has been needed to process pattern within $20{\mu}m$ width on a $20{\mu}m$ thick board. A previous PCB etcher can be used with multiple points of roller rolls or slips off a board. Also, the damage of the board by contacting the roller increases the friction defects. A vertical type boards transporting process is developed to solve the problems of boards friction and sagging in a horizontal etcher. In this research, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method is used to design an improved spray nozzle including the critical part of etcher, and establish the design method. Meanwhile, major spray characteristics are expected in diverse nozzle types and variables. Lastly, diverse simulation results are adapted to design an improved nozzle and spray system.

  • At the central level, civil servants concerned with school health were interviewed in order to research the national administrative system of school health. At the level of county, the ledgers concerned at the education office and the schools was reviewed, and the person concerned at them was interviewed, in order to research the present state of local school health management. The policy proposition to improve the administrative system of school health in Korea is as follows. 1) The formal school health activities in districts should be actualized with the funds and the manpower made through realizing local autonomy system. 2) The funds of health center should be able to be used for school health. 3) The important activities of school health that can be actualized without a lot of funds should be chosen and be actualized above all. 4) The formal or informal system among school, health center, and hospital should properly be made. 5) The health engineer of education office or the board of education should be related to health center at school health activities. 6) For the long run, the teacher of health education should teach the subject of health at school. The proposition to improve the management of school health at the level of education office or the board of education is as follows. 1) The formal and informal relation among health center, hospital, and the board of education should be strenthened at the technical and administrative sides. 2) Health center should train the nurse-teachers of school and the health engineers of education office or the board of education. 3) The autonomous health budget of each school should properly be made. 4) The compulsory health budget should properly be made in school education budget. 5) The formal or informal training Course for the nurse-teachers should be practical. The proposition to improve the management of school health at the level of school is as follows. 1) The equipment of nursing room should be used properly, so that the function of nursing room should be revitalized. 2) Nursing room should not be used with other function except nursing function. 3) Oral cavity should be tested when pupils and students undergo physical checkup. 4) The interval of physical checkup at each school should be more than 2 days. And then the pupils and students with abnormal health should be referred to hospital etc.. 5) The misappropriation of the allowance of school doctor should be protected.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose what developments for Korean Maritime high school are. In order to find out some proposals, the concerned literature survey and sata are used accordingly. This paper is consisted of 4 chapters. The contents of first chapter are focused on the study purpose and problems facing on the maritime high schools. The second are on the present situation of these schools. The third are on the improving proposals, the fourth are on the conclustions of this paper. The following proposals are abstracted through this study. The first, competent authority should be transferred to ministry of education from ministry of marine. The second, education system should be upgraded to junior college or 5 years education course. The third, maritime university permission should be opened for maritime high schol graduates. The fourth, training ship should be build for effective training course required from STCW 95. The fifth , if the graduates from maritime high school engage on board , all of them should be exempted from military service responsibility. The sixth , the education course should be diversified according to the need and demand from the industry society and students. The seventh, the on board-training system for teachers and instructors should be programmed in order to help them keep and utilize the on board experience in actural eudcation situation.
