UV-Vis spectrophotometry법을 이용한 다양한 유지류로부터 헴프씨드 오일의 진위 판별법 (Authentication of Hempseed Oil from Different Commercial Oils Using Simple UV-Vis Spectrophotomety)

  • 대마씨의 외종피를 탈각하여 Tetrahydrocanabinol이 제거된 헴프씨드는 건강식품으로 각광받고 있으며, 헴프씨드 오일은 α-linolenic acid 및 γ-linolenic acid 등의 다가 불포화 지방산 및 지용성 비타민 등이 풍부하여, 인지 기능 및 운동기능 개선, 콜레스테롤 감소, 혈관 염증 완화, 혈전 생성 억제, 신경세포 손상 방지 등의 효능이 알려지면서 수요가 급증하고 있다. 현재 헴프씨드 오일은 여타의 식물성 유지(콩기름, 옥수수유, 올리브유, 카놀라유, 아미씨유)보다 45~140배 이상 고가로 판매되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 FTIR, FTIR-Raman, ATR-FTIR-MIR spectroscopy와 같은 고가의 장비와 전문인력에 의한 분석 없이도 헴프씨드 오일의 진위여부를 판별할 수 있는 간편한 UV-Vis spectrophotometry법을 개발하고자 하였으며, 다양한 오일의 245, 305, 및 415 nm 흡광도를 측정하고, 245/415 nm 및 305/415 nm에서의 흡광도의 비를 계산하여 12.9 및 9.6이 나타나는 경우 헴프씨드 오일임을 확인하였다. 콩기름, 옥수수유, 카놀라유 및 아미씨유의 경우에는 각각 35.4~61.8 및 29.7~50.8을 나타내어 헴프씨드 오일과 쉽게 구분 가능하였다. 상기의 방법은 헴프씨드 오일에 여타의 식물성 유지류를 혼합하는 경우에도 혼합 여부 판별에 이용 가능하였다.

피부건조증 환자에 대한 아로마오일 사용시 스킨 pH.소양증 변화 (The Effects of Aromatherapy on Skin pH and Pruritis in Patients with Xerosis Cutis)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to identify the possibility of aroma oils as the complementary medical goods specially for the effects of aromatheraphy on xerosis cutis. Materials and Methods : The participants were 23 adult patients and all participants of this study use aroma oils which is known to effect on xerosis cutis. The subjects consist of voluntary patients with xerosis cutis in Seong-So Hospital in Andong Kyoungbuk, Korea. From April 1st to April 30th, 2004 for 4 weeks, the subjects massaged aroma oils on itching parts or the whole body. Aroma oils were Lavender, Losemary, Jasmine and blended drop by drop per 10ml jojoba oil which used a carrier oil. Skin pH was measured with a skin pH meter(Model : HI98110, Se-Chang instruments, made in Portuga. After 4weeks using aroma oils, the participants answered questions about the feeling of satisfaction with aroma oils. Results : Changes in the physiological indices. The mean deviation of skin pH was $5.58{\pm}0.47$ points before using aroma oils and $5.53{\pm}0.45$ points after 2 weeks, no statistical significance was found(p=0.221). MD was $5.36{\pm}0.41$ points after 4 weeks using aroma oils, which was statistically significant decrease of 0.22 points(p=0.001) Changes on the Pruritus Score Scale. A modified scale of the Pruritus Score Scale(Duo, 1987) was used to measure the severity, location, frequency, and the inconveniences of daily life due to prurius. The maximum scale of severity was 4 points, the full marks of location was 2 points, the full marks of frequency was 3 points, the full marks of inconveniences of daily life due to pruritus was 3 points. The scores ranged from 0 to 12, with 12 indicating the most severe pruritus. There was no statistical difference in severity and frequency score at 4 weeks later(severity p=0.097, frequency p=0.633). A statistically significant difference was found in the score of location and the inconveniences of daily life due to pruritus(each p=0.003). Conclusion : Generally speaking, the patient suffering from renal itch is the higher than normal in skin pH levels. that means to show alkaline condition of skin surface. In some case in this study, skin pH levels was rather lower than normal levels when measured actually patients suffering from renal itch by skin pH meter. But in this study post-test skin pH levels decreased, showing the contribution of aromathrapy to acidic condition of skin surface in suffering from renal itch. It seems to be some help to cure a pruritus and also have no ill effects on aroma oils.

다양한 식물성오일로부터 생산된 바이오디젤의 혼합에 따른 연료특성 분석 (Determination of Fuel Properties for Blended Biodiesel from Various Vegetable Oils)

  • 화석연료의 고갈과 원유가격 폭등으로 인해 이를 대체할 수 있는 다양한 연료의 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 동물성 지방이나 식물성 기름의 주성분인 트리글리세라이드를 메탄올과 반응시켜 생산된 바이오디젤은 기존의 석유디젤을 대체할 수 있는 친환경적인 연료로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 유통중인 경유에 6종류의 원료별 바이오디젤을 일정 비율로 혼합한 뒤, 다양한 연료특성을 분석하였다. 바이오디젤의 농도가 높아질수록 밀도, 동점도, 인화점이 상승하였고, 저온특성은 악화되는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 경유의 중요한 연료특성인 세탄가를 IQT를 이용해 측정한 결과, 바이오디젤의 혼합비율이 높아질수록, 유도세탄가가 높게 측정되었으며, 특히 팜유로부터 생산된 바이오디젤의 경우, 71.26의 높은 유도세탄가가 측정되었다.

발전용 바이오중유의 혼합비율에 따른 배출가스 특성 연구 (A Study on the Emission Characteristics for Blended Power Bio-Fuel Oil)

  • As our government is actively introducing the RPS (Renewable Portfolio Standards) as a national renewable energy obligation policy, power producers are using the various renewable energy to meet the RPS supply quota since 2012. Recently, it is appling to use power bio-fuel oil in bio-fuel oil demonstration project with power companies. In general, power bio-fuel oils are composed of mixture products of vegetable oil, animal fat, fatty acid ester and waste oil. It is already developing for a power plant as a renewable energy abroad. In Korea, it is studying a 100% combustion and blended combustion of heavy fuel oil and bio-fuel oil. In this study, we investigated fuel characteristics of mixed power bio-fuel oil and its emission performance. Especially, it was reduced emissions of bio-oil in industrial boilers due to bio-fuel properties as compare with fuel oil.

  • Due to the development of the petroleum refining technology and continuously increased demand from markets, a quantity of gasoline and diesel oil produced from a restricted quantity of crude oil has been increasing, and residual fuel to be used at marine diesel engines has been gradually becoming low quality. As a result, it was recently reported that trouble oils which cause abnormal combustion such as knocking with extreme noise and misfire from internal combustion engines were increasing throughout the world. In this study, an author investigated ignitability and combustion quality by using combustion analyzer with constant volume(FCA, Fuel Combustion Analyzer) and middle speed diesel engine about MDO(Marine Diesel Oil), HFO(Heavy Fuel Oil), LCO(Light Cycle Oil) and Blend-HFO which was blended LCO of 1000 liters with HFO of 600 liters. Moreover, for betterment of ignitability and combustion quality of injected fuels, multi-injection experiment was carried out in the diesel engine using Blend-HFO. 소형 어선용 디젤기관의 운전조건과 부탄올 혼합유의 배기 배출물 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on exhaust emission characteristics according to operating conditions and butanol blended fuels in a small diesel engine for fishing vessel)

  • In this study, blending oils of diesel oil and butanol were used as fuel oil for diesel engine to measure combustion pressure, fuel consumption, air ratio and exhaust gas emission due to various operating conditions such as engine revolution and torque. Using these data, the results of analyzing the engine performance, combustion characteristics and exhaust emission characteristics such as NOx (nitrogen oxides), CO2 (carbon dioxide), CO (carbon monoxide) and soot were as follows. The fuel conversion efficiency at each load was highest when driven in the engine revolution determined by a fixed pitch propeller law. Except 30% butanol blending oil, fuel conversion efficiency of the other fuel oils increased as the load increased. Compared to diesel oil, using 10% and 20% butanol blending oil as fuel oil was advantageous in terms of thermal efficiency, but it did not have a significant impact on the reduction of exhaust gas emissions. On the other hand, future research is needed on the results of the 20% butanol blending oil showing lower or similar levels of smoke concentration and carbon monoxide emission rate other than those types of diesel oil.

국내 유통 엔진오일 고온모사증류시험 분석 (The SIMDIST (Simulated Distillation) Analysis of Distributing Engine Oil)

  • 자동차용 윤활유가 국내 윤활유 시장의 35%를 차지하고 있으며, 이 중 엔진오일이 자동차용 윤활유의 75%를 차지하고 있다. 운전자와 엔진보호를 위해 유통 엔진오일의 품질이 적절하게 관리되어져야 한다. 하지만 KS제품과 합성엔진오일(합성기유가 30% 이상 포함된 제품)은 석유 및 석유대체연료 사업법상 품질관리에서 제외되어져 있다. PAO (poly alpha olefin)와 같은 합성오일은 기존 광유보다 내마모성, 바니쉬 조절 및 산화안정도와 같은 특성이 우수한 것으로 알려져 있으며, 이러한 이유로 PAO는 엔진오일, 로터리 스크류, 중장비, 왕복 압축기, 극압장비 등에 많이 사용되어져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 고온모사증류시험(SIMDIST)을 이용하여 광유, PAO, 일정 비율의 PAO가 혼합된 광유시료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 광유는 브로드란 크로마토그램을 얻은 반면, PAO는 특정한 머무름시간에서 샤프한 피크를 보였다. 또한 점도가 큰 물질은 큰 분자량과 높은 끓는점을 지녀 긴 머무름시간을 보였다. 특히 20%의 PAO가 함유된 시료에서 전형적인 광유와 다른 PAO 패턴의 크로마토그램을 보였다. 유통엔진오일 내 PAO 함량을 모니터링하기 위해 국내 판매량이 높은 27종류의 유통엔진오일을 분석한 결과, 모든 제품에서 PAO 함량이 20%보다 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 더욱이 제품명에 PAO라 표현한 제품조차도 PAO 함량이 낮은 것을 보였다. 따라서 합성엔진오일에 대한 적절한 관리 법규가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

Combustion Characteristics of an Agricultural Diesel Engine using Biodiesel Fuel

  • Biodiesel has great potential as an alternative fuel for diesel engines that would reduce air pollution. It is a domestically produced, renewable fuel that can be manufactured from fresh or used vegetable oils, or from animal fats. In this study, a biodiesel fuel derived from rice bran oil was tested as an alternative fuel for agricultural diesel engines. The emissions were characterized for both neat and blended biodiesel fuels, and for conventional diesel fuel. Since this biodiesel fuel contained 11 % oxygen, it strongly influenced the combustion process. The use of biodiesel fuel resulted in lower carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and smoke emissions, without any increase in nitrous oxide emissions. The study demonstrated that biodiesel fuel could be effectively used as a renewable and environmentally innocuous fuel for agricultural diesel engines.

정용연소기에 있어서 어유의 연소특성 (Combustion Characteristics of Fish Oil in a Constant Volume Combustion Bomb)

  • The combustion characteristics, ignition delay, p-t, dp/dt, Q-t of diesel oil and fish oil blended diesel oils was investigated according to pressure and temperature in a constant volume combustion bomb. The results are as follows: 1) The influence of temperature and pressure on the ignition delay was almost constant in high temperature, regardless of the blending rates, and the ignition delay was shortest in the 60% blend. 2) The maximum pressure was high in order of with pure diesel oil, with the 20% blend and the 60% blend. 3) The rate of pressure rise was high in order of with pure diesel oil, with the 20% blend and the 60% blend. The rate of maximum pressure rise was significantly higher with pure diesel oil than with two blends. 4) The amount of accumulative heat release was large in order of with pure diesel oil, with the 20% blend and the 60% blend.

윤활기유 내 지방산메틸에스테르 혼합비율에 따른 윤활특성 및 산화안정성 연구 (Study of Lubrication and Oxidation Stability as Mixture Ratio of FAMEs in Lubricating Base Oil)

  • 바이오디젤은 세계 화석연료의 흐름을 변화시킬 수 있는 환경 친화적 대체물질로 관심의 대상이 되고 있으며 대체연료 외에도 다양한 분야에서 수많은 응용 연구가 진행되고 있다. 최근에는 원유의 정제로부터 얻어진 석유제품을 대체하려는 다양한 움직임이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그 중 윤활기유로서의 식물성 오일은 급속도로 발전된 석유산업으로 인해 상용화 되지 못했던 오일로 관심의 대상이 되고 있으며 자연친화적 생분해성과 무독성, 윤활유로서의 낮은 휘발성과 우수한 계면윤활 등 대체 오일로써 충분한 가능성을 지니고 있다. 하지만 우수한 윤활 및 마모성능에도 불구하고 윤활연구에 넓게 활용되지 못했던 이유 중에는 지방산메틸에스테르가 갖는 열악한 산화안정성(oxidation stability) 및 열화안정도(thermal stability) 때문으로 보고되고 있다. 따라서 바이오디젤을 윤활기유 내 일정비율로 혼합하여 윤활성능 및 산화안정성의 변화를 확인하였으며 사구식 내마모 성능시험 후 발생되는 산화 및 열화현상을 알아보았다. 또한 산화에 따른 혼합 오일의 윤활특성 변화를 분석하였으며 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 윤활유 또는 윤활 향상제로서의 가능성을 살펴보았다.
