The blasting has a lot of economic efficiency and speediness but it can damage to a neighbor structure, a domestic animal and a cultured fish due to the blasting vibration, then the public grievance is increased. Therefore, we need to manage the blasting vibration efficiently. The prediction of the correct vibration velocity is not easy because there are lots of different kinds of the scale of blasting vibration and it has a number of a variable effect. So we figure the optimum line through the least-squares regression by using the vibration data measured in hard rock blasting and compared with the design vibration prediction equation. As a result, we confirm that the vibration estimated in this paper is bigger than the design vibration prediction equation in the same charge and distance. If there is a Gaussian normal distribution data on the left-right side of the least squares regression, then we can estimate the vibration prediction equation on reliability 50%(${\beta}=0$), 90%(${\beta}=1.28$), 95%(${\beta}=1.64$). 99.9%(${\beta}=3.09$). As a result, it appears to be suitable that the reliability is 99% at the transverse component, the reliability 95% is at the vertical component, the reliability 90% is at the longitudinal component and the reliability is 95% at the peak vector sum component.

Since blast-induced vibration may cause serious problem to the rock mass as well as the nearby structures, the prediction of blast-induced vibration and the stability evaluation must be performed before blasting activities. Dynamic analysis using measurement vibration waveform which is measured by bore hole blasting or test blasting has been increased recently in order to analyze the effect of the blast-induced vibration. The waveform made by bore hole blasting has the similar vibration level and duration to those the waveform of sing hole has. However, there can be a little difference in attenuation characteristics with the blast induced vibration waveform in the field. Through the superposition modeling of single hole waveform, I obtained the vibration waveform on the blasting condition changes and conducted dynamic analysis using this waveform in this study.
Blasting technology aims to maximize digging efficiency as well as minimize vibration and noise. So, it is key point of blasting technology to raise blasting effect as much as possible and reduce vibration and noise and the design of PLHBM that is the tunnel blasting method having such merit was studied in this paper. PLHBM has the excellent blasting efficiency as it drills the empty hole with high caliber of 250~1,000mm at centre cut, contributes to blasting vibration reduction effect much and can be usefully applied to tunnel blasting sites. So it is judged that it enables the development of tunnel blasting method to be advanced one more step by studying and suggesting the design method of PLHBM.
Blasting vibrations of 3 quarries and 5 construction sites were measured and investigated with two reference data. Square and cubic root scaled distance were similar in fitness to peak particle velocity of individual blasting site, but the former is better fitted in total. It was suggested that the limit scaled distance for domestic surface blasting be 40kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 10mm/s level and 60kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 5mm/s level, which were lower than the OSM's regulation. Prevailing vibration components were in the order of radial, vertical and transverse directions. Prevailing vibration components were in the order of radial, vertical and transverse directons. Site factors K and m were 242 and -1.283 for all studied area, 357 and -1.348 for construction sites, 118 and -1.160 for quarries. Most prevailing frequency was in the range of 10~2Hz. Overlapping effect of delayed blasting vibrations were insignificant. Vibration history of delayed blasting was longer than simultaneous blasting, and it became longer as measuring distance increased. Wave form and predominant frequencies were more complicated for delayed blasting than instantaneous blasting. The influence of blasting scale and measuring distance were not significant to determine peak particle velocity equation.
Recently, most of limestone quarries have been not mined by open-pit mining but by underground excavation to reduce environmental pollution. As a result, the size of underground galleries became bigger to maintain mass-production close to open-pit mining. However, the scale of pillars and galleries as well as the excavation methods may induce a few adverse problems for the stability of a mined gallery. In this study, the nomogram analysis and the prediction of rock damage zone induced by blasting were carried out. The testing conditions include concurrent blasting of two adjacent galleries, concurrent blasting of a transport drift and a inclined shaft, sequential blasting of two galleries, and separate blasting for each gallery. For each testing condition, blast vibration velocity was measured and analyzed. From the prediction formulas for blast vibration velocity derived in this study, the maximum depth of rock damage zone induced by blasting were also predicted.

In this study, various problems of ground vibration from rock blasting have been discussed, and field tests of rock blasting-ground vibration were carried out to find out the system of evaluation and control method for selecting blast design values and the rationale for the selection. Criterla of estimating structural response and damage caused by ground vibration from rock blasting are also discussed for the safety design of blast.
As in Korean environments with mountainous and hilly areas, the rock generally has to be removed in construction or civil engineering work in tunnelling or excavation for development in urban area. Explosives should be used for blasting, which may cause serious problems on local people for their claim for compensation due to ground vibration, noise. For safe and economic blasting, geology and engineering characteristics of rocks such as discontinuities of rock or weathering are very important factors, together with site characteristics for prediction of ground vibration. In this study, conducted were the detailed study for major rocks most widely distributed in the South-east area, in-situ geological survey, geological and geochemical analysis, and further laboratory uniaxial rock stress, seismic velocity of core samples together with in-situ seismic velocity measurements. Regulations on ground vibration and noise were reviewed for assessing their adaptabilities, and a total of 4,856 measured blasting vibration data were examined for enhancing the confidence level in estimating the predictive formulation using scaled distance statistically.
This study explores the slot-drilling method that has not yet enough been studied in Korea and intends to provide a theoretical framework for putting the method into practice in a construction site. The possible reduction of ground vibration by implementing slot-drilling methods is addressed. Two main subjects dealt with include the variation of vibration velocity that is based on the distance between the slot-drilling and the epicenter of blasting and the analysis of appropriate effective dimension of slot-drilling width and height to control blasting vibration. This study shows that effect of vibration reduction decreases when distance of the slot-drilling and the epicenter of blasting is getting larger and also reveals that there is a correlation between the slot size and the vibration velocity at any point.
It was designed as the mechanical excavation mass method on 176m because the safety thing is located around the site. But low-vibration blasting using an electronic detonator was proposed to improve constructability and economy. As a result of the suggestion blasting, both blasting noise and vibration were safe within the allowable limit, confirming the applicability of low-vibration blasting using an electronic detonator to the section. And compared with the mechanical mass excavation method, an economic evaluation was conducted about the section, and it was evaluated that there was an economic advantage as the construction period was reduced by 88 days.

The existence of shallow bedrock and the desire to use underground space necessitate the use of blasting methods. The standard blasting method under water after drilling is associated with certain technical difficulties, including reduced detonation power, the use of a fixed charge per delay, and decoupling. However, there is no blasting method to replace the existing blasting method. In this paper, a dry hole charged with ANFO blasting is assessed while employing a dry hole pumping system to remove water from the drill borehole. Additional standard blasting is also utilized to compare the blasting performances of the two methods. The least-squares linear regression method is adopted to analyze the blasting vibration velocity quantitatively using the measured vibration velocity for each blasting method and the vibration velocity model as a function of the scaled distance. The results show that the dry hole charged with ANFO blasting will lead to greater damping of the blasting vibration, more energy dissipation to crush the surrounding rock, and closer distances for the allowable velocity of the blasting vibration. Also, standard blasting shows much longer influencing distances and a wider range of the blasting pattern. The pilot test confirms the blasting efficiency of dry hole charged with ANFO blasting.
