우주용 영상센서 출력특성 교정용 흑체 설계의 해석적 유효성 검토 (Numerical Investigation of Blackbody Design for Spaceborne Image Sensor Non-uniformity Characteristic Calibration)

  • 우주용 적외선 센서의 탑재 교정용 흑체 시스템은 궤도상에서 센서 출력특성 교정을 위해 다양한 기준온도에서 한정된 개수의 온도센서로부터 고정밀의 대표표면온도 추정이 가능해야 한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 흑체 시스템은 흑체 가열 후 잔열 수송을 위한 히트파이프를 흑체 후면 중앙의 일체형 플랜지에 결합하는 방식을 적용하였다. 따라서 흑체 표면온도구배 최소화와 함께 원형 대칭 형태의 온도구배를 얻을 수 있어 표면온도 추정이 용이하면서도 발사 및 궤도환경에서 하중이 가해지더라도 안정적인 히트파이프 접속부를 갖도록 하며, 복수의 히트파이프 적용에 따른 Fail Safe 설계가 가능하도록 한다. 또한 온도센서 부착작업이 용이하도록 센서를 흑체 외부 표면에 적용하더라도 높은 정확도로 표면온도 추정이 가능하다. 본 논문에서 제안된 흑체 시스템의 설계 유효성 입증을 위해 궤도 열해석을 수행하였으며, 해석결과를 기반으로 온도센서 개수 및 위치에 따른 대표표면온도 추정을 실시하였다.

항공용 EO/IR 센서의 EO GRD 분해능 실험실 측정 연구 (A Study of Laboratory Measurement of EO GRD Resolution for Airborne EO/IR Sensor)

  • EO GRD(Ground Resolved Distance) resolution of airborne EO/IR(Electro-Optical/Infrared) sensor is a critical factor in test and evaluation for EO sensor performance. We propose the laboratory measurement set-up for EO GRD by constructing optical collimator which includes integrated sphere, blackbody, equivalent 3-bar target and 6 DOF motion simulator. GRD is measured in the photographic imagery of bar targets by 3 different distances for 3 EO/IR sensors and the measured results were analyzed statistically. We found that at least 7 sheets of imagery are needed in order to obtain meaningful EO GRD. The result of statistical analysis shows that the distribution of the measured GRD is nearly symmetric about the average GRD, and the better imagery ratio above the average GRD is about 40~70%. Also from the best GRD analysis, it is estimated that the design goal for EO GRD should be 30% superior to the required GRD.

주변 온도 영향에 따른 비분산 적외선 가스센서의 출력 특성 해석 (Analysis of Output Voltage Properties of Non-dispersive Infrared Gas Sensors According to Ambient Temperatures)

  • This article describes the output properties of non-dispersive infrared carbon dioxide($CO_2$) sensors resulting from the changes in ambient temperatures. After the developed sensor module was installed inside the gas chamber, the temperature was set to 267 K, 277 K, 300 K, and 314 K, and the concentrations of $CO_2$ gas were increased from 0 to 5,000 ppm. Then, the output voltage at each concentration was obtained. Through these experimental results, two observations were made. First, both the $CO_2$ sensor and the reference sensor showed an increase in the output voltages as the temperature rose from 0 ppm, Second, the full scale outputs of the $CO_2$ sensor grew as the temperature increased. The output characteristics were analyzed based on two factors: change in the radiant energy of the infrared light source and change in the absorptivity of $CO_2$ gas according to the ambient temperature. Additionally, temperature compensation methods were discussed.

ccd 카메라를 이용한 금속 용융면의 온도분포측정 (Measurement of temperature profile in molter metal using a cod camera)

  • 원자력산업용 소재로 사용되는 가돌로니엄 (Gd, 원자번호 64) 금속을 20 kW 내외의 고출력 전자빔을 이용하여 용융시키고, 그 용융면의 온도 분포를 측정하였다 광학 필터들과 렌즈구경 크기를 조절하여 용융면에서 발생하는 방사강도를 ccd 카메라로 받아들이고 실시간으로 컴퓨터에 저장하였다. 이 방법을 이용하여 전자빔의 출력에 따른 용융면의 크기를 실시간으로 모니터 할 수 있어 안정적인 전자빔의 동작이 가능하였다 그리고 가돌로니엄 금속 용융면을 흑체복사로 가정하고 Planck's law를 적용한 결과는 적외선 온도계로 측정한 결과보다 동일한 전자빔 출력에서 100~$200^{\circ}C$ 높은 값을 보였다.

층류화염 유동속도 측정을 위한 modulated LII 기법 (Modulated LII technique for the Measurement of Flow Velocity in Laminar Flames)

  • The modulated LII technique has been suggested for the measurement of axial velocity profiles of laminar diffusion flames. The theoretical background is explained based on the blackbody radiation and LII signal. Experimentally, soot particles in ethylene diffusion flames are heated by a modulated Ar-ion laser beam. LII signals and their phase angles are measured using a lock-in amplifier at the different flame heights and the axial flow velocities are obtained from the measured phase angle delay informations. The measured velocities are similar to those from LDV measurements under the same operating conditions. The effects of laser power, LII signal wavelength, and modulation frequencies are not sensitive to the velocity measurement. However, the choice of an optical chopper blade type could affect the measurement result. The use of a 6/5 chopper blade showed the better result that is. possibly due to the square shape of modulated laser beam. This study successfully demonstrated that axial flow velocities of laminar diffusion flames can be measured by a new technique utilizing LII signal, which does not need particle seeding unlikely to LDV or PIV techniques.

The Spectral Sharpness Angle of Gamma-ray Bursts

  • We explain the results of Yu et al. (2015b) of the novel sharpness angle measurement to a large number of spectra obtained from the Fermi gamma-ray burst monitor. The sharpness angle is compared to the values obtained from various representative emission models: blackbody, single-electron synchrotron, synchrotron emission from a Maxwellian or power-law electron distribution. It is found that more than 91% of the high temporally and spectrally resolved spectra are inconsistent with any kind of optically thin synchrotron emission model alone. It is also found that the limiting case, a single temperature Maxwellian synchrotron function, can only contribute up to 58+23−18% of the peak flux. These results show that even the sharpest but non-realistic case, the single-electron synchrotron function, cannot explain a large fraction of the observed spectra. Since any combination of physically possible synchrotron spectra added together will always further broaden the spectrum, emission mechanisms other than optically thin synchrotron radiation are likely required in a full explanation of the spectral peaks or breaks of the GRB prompt emission phase.

레이저 가열 측정법을 이용한 화염 내 매연 농도 측정 (Measurement of soot concentration in flames using laser-induced incandescence method)

  • Laser induced incandescence, LII, recently developed technique for measuring soot concentration in flames, can overcome most of limitations of conventional laser extinction measurement. In this study, experiments were performed to investigate the effect of laser intensity, detection wavelength, and also laser beam quality on both LII signal at a particular position and peak-to-centerline LII signal ratio. The results of LII signal with increasing laser intensity shows its near-independence of laser intensity once threshold level of laser intensity has been reached. However, this near-independence depends on laser beam quality and the incident optical setup. The peak-to-centerline LII signal ratio slowly but continuously increases with laser power. This fact is due to the dependence of LII signal on particle mean diameter. LII signal is attenuated during it passes through the flame containing soot particles. The attenuation rate is inversely proportional to detection wavelength. In this study, LII signal at 680 nm band is 10% greater than the signal at 400 nm band.

A model of Photon Dominated Region(PDR) for the UV-heated outflow walls in the embedded protostellar objects

  • We have developed an self-consistent PDR model to synthesize warm CO lines of Herschel/PACS observations more accurately. The PDR model solves the FUV continuum radiative transfer, gas energetics, and chemistry simultaneously. A local FUV radiation flux is calculated by using a Monte Carlo method taking anisotropic scattering into account. A new (r, ${\delta}$) coordinate system was used, where the r is the distance from the origin and the ${\delta}$ is z/$R^2$ in the cylindrical coordinate of (R,z). This is an adequate coordinate system to represent a power-law density of an envelope and a high spatial resolution near the outflow wall. The gas enegetics and chemistry are solved locally and considered $10^4K$ blackbody radiation field instead of the interstellar radiation filed. This newly developed model can be used to analyze quantitatively the effect of UV-heated outflow walls on the warm molecular lines in the embedded proto-stellar objects.

적외선 카메라를 이용한 표면온도측정의 왜곡 보정 (Distortion Correction of Surface Temperature Measurement Using an Infrared Camera)

  • 적외선 열화상 방식을 사용하여 초음속 풍동모델 표면온도를 측정하였다. 표면온도를 정량적으로 파악하기 위해 적외선 카메라 감지신호의 흑체 보정, 카메라와 렌즈의 불완전한 평형 등으로 야기되는 왜곡 보정, 그리고 모델표면 시야각에 따른 방사율 보정을 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 적외선 카메라를 이용한 표면온도측정의 왜곡보정 기술을 확보하였으며, 공력특성 실험을 통해 통상적으로 사용되는 이차원 시험모델 사용시 정성적일 뿐만 아니라 정량적인 계측을 위해서는 왜곡보정이 고려되어야 함을 입증하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 학생의 개념변화 과정을 연속적인 세련화와 정교화의 과정으로 보았다. 이러한 관점은 학생의 개념변화에 대한 학습심리학적 연구의 재고찰과 물리학 지식의 발달과정에 대한 물리학사적 사례 연구의 분석에 기초하였으며, 구체적으로 세련화와 정교화를 통한 개념변화 과정 사례를 추출할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 실제 학생의 반응을 분석하는데 지침 역할을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
