정치망의 치어혼획저감을 위한 그리드형 탈출장치의 선택성에 관한 연구 (A study on the selectivity of grid type escape device for the reduction of small size of fish in set net)

  • This thesis is the fundamental study on the adaptation of escape device for reducing small size of fish in set-net. The escape devices for experiments were made the grid-type devices with three different slit sizes (15, 20 and 25mm). The experiments of size selectivity on escape devices were conducted by using two kinds of species as black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) and sea perch (Lateolabrax maculatusi) in the experimental tank. The size selectivity curve was fitted by using a logistic function and the parameters of selectivity curve were estimated by a maximum likelihood method. In the results; 50% selection ranges for the grid-type escape devices with three different slit sizes were; a black rockfish was 13.30, 19.22 and 22.06cm and a sea perch was 17.64, 20.91 and 22.78cm, respectively. The 50% selection range of a black rockfish was wilder than a sea perch about 1.1~1.3 time. Therefore, the small size of fish are able to reduce by using the grid type escape device. However, the optimum slit size of grid should be decided to consider the size of target species and economics of catches.

색강지에 대한 돌돔과 능성어의 선택반응 (Selective Response of Rock bream and Sea bass to the Color Nettings)

  • 색망지에 대한 돌돔과 능성어의 선택반응을 조사하기 위하여 적색, 황색, 녹색, 청색 및 흑색의 다섯가지 색망지를 사용하여 시어의 반응을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수조내에 색망지를 설치하지 않고 백색 배경 하에서 조사하였을 때, 돌돔과 능성어는 양 가쪽 구간중 어느 한 쪽으로 편중하여 분포하는 경향은 나타나지 않았다. 2. 돌돔은 수조의 양 가쪽 구간에 색망지를 설치한 경우가 설치하지 아니한 때보다 중간 구간에 많이 모였으나, 능성어에서는 반대로 나타났다. 3. 돌돔이 많이 선택한 색망지의 순위는 황색, 흑색, 청색, 녹색, 적색의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 능성어가 많이 선택한 색망지의 순위는 녹색, 흑색, 적색, 청색, 황색의 순으로 나타났다.

Primary study on metal amounts in Lophius piscatorius Linnaeus, 1758 obtained from fish markets in Sinop, Turkey

  • The levels of five heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, lead, copper and zinc) were analyzed in edible tissues of Lophius piscatorius Linnaeus, 1758 marketed in Sinop coasts of the Black Sea by using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. With the present study, heavy metal values of this fish in the Black Sea were examined for the first time. The mean concentrations in mg kg-1 wet wt. of Hg, Cd, Pb, Cu and Zn were 0.022, 0.009, 0.035, 6.3 and 16 mg kg-1 wet wt., respectively. The results of the present study indicate that the consumption of muscle from anglerfish can be considered safe in terms of permissible legal limits. It is clear that, Zn showed the high accumulation in muscle tissue followed by Cu, while non-essential metals Hg, Cd and Pb showed the low accumulation. This could be explained by the fact that Zn and Cu are essential elements in the bodies of living organisms and has an important role in different physiological processes. In the present study, heavy metal levels in angler fish were low. Likewise, the calculated HI values were lower than one. In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that the consumption of muscle from anglerfish can be considered safe in terms of permissible legal limits and hazard index values.

Evaluation of the new coastal protection scheme at Mamaia Bay in the nearshore of the Black Sea

  • The target area of the proposed study, Mamaia beach, is a narrow stretch of sand barrier island that sits between the Siutghiol Lake and the Black Sea. In the northern part of the bay, is located the Midia Port, where between 1966 and 1971 a long extension of 5 km of the offshore was built. Because of this extension, the natural flow of sediments has been significantly changed. Thus, the southern part of the Mamaia Bay had less sand nourishment which meant that the coast was eroding and to prevent it a protection of six dikes was built. After approximately forty years of coastal erosion, the south of the Mamaia Bay had in 2016 a new protection scheme, which includes first of all the beach nourishment and a new dike structure (groins scheme for protection) to protect it. From this perspective, the objective of the proposed study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the old Master plan against the new one by modeling the outcome of the two scenarios and to perform a comparison with a third one, in which the protection dikes do not exist and only the artificial nourishment has been done. In order to assess the wave processes and the current patterns along the shoreline, a complex computational framework has been applied in the target area. This joins the SWAN spectral phase averaged model with the 1D surf model. Furthermore, new UAV technology was also used to map out, chart and validate the numerical model outputs within the target zone for a better evaluation of the trends expected in the shoreline dynamics.

한국 동해 독도에서 채집된 비늘베도라치과(Chaenopsidae) 어류 첫기록종, Neoclinus chihiroe (New Record of Neoclinus chihiroe (Perciformes: Chaenopsidae) from Dokdo, East Sea, Korea)

  • 농어목 비늘베도라치과에 속하는 Neoclinus chihiroe 1개체(52.5 mm SL)가 2020년 12월 9일 독도에서 잠수조사를 통해 처음 채집되었다. 이 종의 특징은 등지느러미 첫 번째 극조와 두 번째 극조 사이에 검은색 점을 가지고 있으며, 아가미 덮개 뒤편 위쪽에 검은색 점을 가지고 있었다. 이 종은 비늘베도라치과에 속하는 N. okazakii와 형태적으로 유사하였지만, 가슴지느러미 기부에 검은 점을 가지지 않는 점에서 구별된다. 이번 연구는 N. chihiroe의 국내 첫 출현을 보고하며 이 종의 새로운 국명은 '동해비늘베도라치'로 제안한다.

저수온기 돔류의 녹간증 혈청성분 (Biochemical analysis of blood serum from wintering seabream with green liver syndrome)

  • A blood biochemical analysis was carried out for the serum of wintering sea bream (red sea bream Pagrus major, black sea bream Acanthopagrus schlegeli, rock bream Oplegenathus fasciantuas) with green liver syndrome. GOT and GPT were significantaly elavated in the diseased sea bream. The value of $NH_{3}$ was slightly higher but those of TBIL. TP and UA were lower than the control. But there were no differences in albumin. Ca and glucose between the diseased and the control. These results suggent that a green liver syndrome in the sea bream might be related with nutritional defects and the stress of low water temperature during the winter.

남해안 양식어류의 fluoroquinolone계 항균제 잔류량 (Residual Concentrations of Fluoroquinolones in Farmed Fish in the Southern Coast of Korea)

  • Fluoroquinoles have a wide range of antimicrobial properties and are effective in the treatment of bacterial diseases in fish. The use of fluoroquinoles continues to grow steadily. Fluoroquinolone antibiotics are probably the most important class used among synthetic antibiotics in human and veterinary medicines because of their broad activity spectrum and good oral absorption. This study was conducted to estimate the residue of antibiotics in four species of farmed fishes, including olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus), black rock fish (Sebastes schlegeli), red sea bream (Pagrus major), and sea bass (Lateolabrax japonicus), collected from fish farms located in the southern coastal area of Korea. The residues of fluoroquinolones were determined using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a fluorescence detector. Residuals of five fluoroquinolones in muscle tissue of farmed fish were analyzed. We found that enrofloxacin was the most common agent in fish muscle, and that ciprofloxacin was the next most common. The range of detected concentrations of fluoroquinolones in olive flounder muscle was 0-0.859 mg/kg in 32.6% of all samples. Enrofloxacin was commonly detected in sea bass muscle at a range of 0-0.143 mg/kg in 38.9% of all samples. Fluoroquinolones were detected in 6.9% of black rock fish muscle and in 16.6% of sea bream, although the detected concentration was below 0.01 mg/kg. The maximum detection value of enrofloxacin and ofloxacin in olive flounder at the time of shipping was 0.102 mg/kg and 0.09 mg/kg, respectively; no other antimicrobials were detected. We detected no antimicrobial substances in red sea bream.

가막만 해역에 방류된 감성돔, Acanthopagrus schlegeli 치어의 초기 먹이섭취 패턴과 어체성분 변화 (Initial Feeding Habits and Changes in Body Composition of Juvenile Black Sea Bream, Acanthopagrus schlegeli Released into the Gamak Bay)

  • 전라남도 여수시 가막만에 방류한 감성돔, Acanthopagrus schlegli 치어의 초기 먹이섭취 및 먹이조성 그리고 체성분 변화에 대해 1개월간 추적연구를 수행하였다. 방류 감성돔은 방류 후 1일째부터 먹이섭취가 이루어졌으며, 포식율은 조사기간 동안 80% 이상을 보였다. 먹이조성은 방류 후 15일째까지 낚시미끼와 가두리에서의 사료 유출물 등 인공먹이를 주로 섭취하였으나, 그 후 20일 이후부터 자연먹이로의 전환이 이루어졌다. 방류 후 5일 그리고 10일째의 A 정점(SA) 방류 감성돔의 전어체 조지방 함량이 방류전, B 정점(SB) 그리고 양식어(CUL)보다 낮은 값을 보였으며, 방류 30일째의 전어체의 n-3 HUFA 조성 및 필수아미노산 함량은 방류어에서 약간 높은 경향을 보였다. 본 연구 결과, 가막만에 방류된 감성돔은 빠른 먹이섭취가 이루어졌으며, 초기 먹이섭취 및 먹이조성은 어체성분 변화에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Taxonomy of Cerianthus filiformis (Ceriantharia, Anthozoa) and Its Phoronid Associate, Phoronis australis in Korea

  • The tube anemone, Cerianthus filiformis Carlgren, was collected from nine localities in the Yellow Sea and the Korea Strait (the South Sea). Populations at different localities showed color variations in tentacles from pale brown to violet. This species is redescribed here because it shows the color variation and the association with the phoronid, Phoronis australis, which was newly recorded from Korean waters. The phoronid has black to purple tentacles shaded with the same color as the cerianthid's tube for mimicking.

잘피밭 해역에 방류된 감성돔 Acanthopagrus schlegeli 치어의 식성 및 어체성분 변화 (Changes in Feeding Habit and Body Composition of Black Sea Bream Acanthopagrus schlegeli Released in Eelgrass Zostera marina Bed)

  • 인공종묘 생산된 감성돔 Acanthopagrus schlegeli 치어를 잘 피밭에 방류하여 방류초기의 먹이섭취와 체성분 변화에 대하여 조사하였다. 방류어의 먹이섭취율(predation rate)은 1일째와 3일째 79%로 낮았으며, 7일과 10일째 100%로 증가하였으나 20일째와 30일에는 75%로 낮아졌다. 방류된 감성돔 치어는 단각류와 복족류(Gastropoda)를 주로 섭식하였다. 단각류(Amphipoda)의 섭취는 방류 초기와 30일째에 낮고, 15일째에 82.9%로 가장 높았다. 한편 복족류는 1일째 84.6%로 가장 높았으며, 20일째는 3.1%로 가장 낮은 값을 보였으며, 갑각류와 해조류는 채집 기간동안 20% 내외를 나타내었다. 소화기관 중량비는 방류 후 20일과 30일째 유의적으로 낮은 값을 보였다. 전어체 성분에서는 방류 후 시간 경과에 따라 조단백질과 조지방 성분이 유의적으로 감소하였으며, 지방산 중 DHA 조성이 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구결과 잘피밭은 자연 먹이의 공급장으로서 방류된 감성돔의 빠른 초기 먹이섭취 및 환경적응에 많은 도움을 준 것으로 판단된다.
