동부와 녹두전분 Gel 및 Paste의 Rheological Properties (Rheological Properties of Cowpea and Mung Bean starch Gels and Pastes)

  • Rheological properties of cowpea and mung bean starch gels and pastes were investigated and compared with Instron Universal Testing machine and Brabender Viscometer. As the result of puncture test of gels, yield point force of mung bean starch gel was higher than that of cowpea starch gel. Compression coefficient of cowpea starch gel calculated by Bourne's equation was lower than that of mung bean starch gel. the stress relaxation test showed that viscoelastic properties of cowpea and mung bean starch gels may be represented by six element Maxwell model consisting of three Maxwell element in parallel. Cowpea and mung bean starch pastes showed bingham pseudoplastic behavior in 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8%. The consistency index in 7∼8% of cowpea starch paste were lower than those of mung bean starch paste. concentration dependence on consistency index and yield stress in mung bean starch were higher than those of cowpea starch. The yield stress of starch pastes was significantly correlated with yield point force by puncture test (r=0.996).

콘크리트의 레올로지 특성 및 펌핑조건에 따른 펌프압송특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pumping Characteristics according to Pumping Method and Rheology Characteristics of Concrete)

  • In order to have pumping technology for high speed construction of tall building, study for quantitative evaluation of flow characteristics and pumpability should be conducted. So, this study evaluate the characteristics among the inner pipe pressure, fresh concrete properties and separated mortar through the continuous pumping test. Then it consider of relations between rheological properties and pumpability. In the result of test, it found that there are high interrelationship between the rheological characteristics which represented plastic viscosity and pressure lose by pipe length.

200 kg급 압착모드형 ER 마운트의 진동제어성능 고찰 (Investigation on Vibration Control of Squeeze Mode ER Mount Subjected to 200 kg of Static Load)

  • This paper presents vibration control performance of a squeeze mode ER mount for high static load. After experimentally investigating the field-dependent damping force under the squeeze mode motion, a squeeze mode ER mount which can support 200 kg of static load is designed and manufactured. Displacement transmissibility of the proposed ER mount is experimentally evaluated in frequency domain with respect to the intensity of the electric field, and a sky-hook control algorithm is designed to attenuate unwanted vibration. Vibration isolation capabilities of the flow mode ER mount and rubber mount are compared to those of the proposed squeeze mode ER mount.

  • This paper presents an optimal design of magnetorheological(MR) damper based on analytical methodology and finite element analysis. The proposed MR damper consists of MR valve and gas chamber. The MR valve is constrained in a specific volume and the optimization problem identifies geometric dimensions of the valve structure that maximize the pressure drop of the MR valve or damping force of the MR damper. In this work, the single-coil annular MR valve structure is considered. After describing the schematic configuration and operating principle of MR valve and damper, a quasi-static model is derived based on Bingham model of MR fluid. The magnetic circuit of the valve and damper is then analyzed by applying the Kirchoff’s law and magnetic flux conservation rule. Based on the quasi-static modeling and the magnetic circuit analysis, the optimization problem of the MR valve and damper is built. The optimal solution of the optimization problem of the MR valve structure constrained in a specific volume is then obtained and compared with the solution obtained from finite element method.

Closed-loop active vibration control of a typical nose landing gear with torsional MR fluid based damper

  • Vibration is an undesirable phenomenon in a dynamic system like lightly damped aerospace structures and active vibration control has gradually been employed to suppress vibration. The objective of the current investigation is to introduce an active torsional magneto-rheological (MR) fluid based damper for vibration control of a typical nose landing gear. They offer the adaptability of active control devices without requiring the associated large power sources. A torsional damper is designed and developed based on Bingham plastic shear flow model. The numerical analysis is carried out to estimate the damping coefficient and damping force. The designed damper is fabricated and an experimental setup is also established to characterize the damper and these results are compared with the analytical results. A typical FE model of Nose landing gear is developed to study the effectiveness of the damper. Open loop response analysis has been carried out and response levels are monitored at the piston tip of a nose landing gear for various loading conditions without damper and with MR-damper as semi-active device. The closed-loop full state feedback control scheme by the pole-placement technique is also applied to control the landing gear instability of an aircraft.

The controllable fluid dash pot damper performance

  • The use of smart dampers to optimally control the response of structures is on the increase. To maximize the potential use of such damper systems, their accurate modeling and assessment of their performance is of vital interest. In this study, the performance of a controllable fluid dashpot damper, in terms of damper forces, damper dynamic range and damping force hysteretic loops, respectively, is studied mathematically. The study employs a damper Bingham-Maxwell (BingMax) model whose mathematical formulation is developed using a Fourier series technique. The technique treats this one-dimensional Navier-Stokes's momentum equation as a linear superposition of initial-boundary value problems (IBVPs): boundary conditions, viscous term, constant Direct Current (DC) induced fluid plug and fluid inertial term. To hold the formulation applicable, the DC current level to the damper is supplied as discrete constants. The formulation and subsequent simulation are validated with experimental results of a commercially available magneto rheological (MR) dashpot damper (Lord model No's RD-1005-3) subjected to a sinusoidal stroke motion using a 'SCHENK' material testing machine in the Materials Laboratory at the University of Technology, Sydney.

와이오밍 벤토나이트의 유변학적 특성: 염분농도의 역할 (The Rheological Characteristics of Wyoming Bentonite: Role of Salinity)

  • 팽윤성 점토의 전단강도 및 유변학적 특성은 점토입자의 크기, 양이온 교환능력, 점토광물학적 조성과 형상 등에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구는 고운 분말가루의 와이오밍(Wyoming) 벤토나이트에 대해 염화나트륨 0g/L 와 30g/L 농도로 24시간 수화시킨 후 염분농도에 따른 물성-강도특성 및 유변학적 특성변화를 살펴봄으로써, 유변학적 특성, 유변화적 모델들의 적용성 및 흙 입자의 구조변화에 따른 항복응력-점도와의 상관관계를 설명하고자 한다. 실험결과에 따르면, 팽윤성 점토는 전단담화(shear thinning)와 항복응력과 소성점도로 표현가능한 Bingham 유체 거동을 보이는 것으로 조사되었다. 염분농도가 낮고 함수비가 높아질수록 벤토나이트는 완전소성거동에 가깝게 나타나며, 전단변형률속도에 따른 변화의 폭이 미미한 것으로 조사되었다. 반면, 염분농도가 높아질수록 전형적인 전단담화거동을 보이며, 전단변형률속도를 증가시킬수록 염분농도에 따른 벤토나이트의 전단강도의 차이는 커진다. S=0g/L에 대해 Carreau, Herschel-Bulkley 및 멱수법칙 모델이, S=30g/L에 대해서는 이중선형, Herschel-Bulkley 및 멱수법칙 모델 등이 흐름특성을 가장 잘 표현한다. 이것은 염분농도에 따른 흙 입자간 구조적 배열과 형상이 입자간 발생하는 인력인 능-능(EE), 능-면(EF), 및 면-면(FF) 구조를 변화시키고 역학적 특성에 영향을 미치기 때문이다.

물 결합재 비에 따른 알칼리 활성 슬래그 페이스트의 레올로지 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Rheological Properties of Alkali Activated Slag Pastes with Water to Binder Ratio)

  • 콘크리트의 유동성을 평가하기 위해서는 주로 테이블 플로우, 슬럼프 및 유하시간 측정 등의 방법이 이용된다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 시험 조건이 바뀌면 정확한 비교분석이 어렵기 때문에 정량적 변수로 표현되는 레올로지를 이용하여 콘크리트의 유동성을 평가하는 연구가 증가하고 있다. 한편, 시장의 요구에 따라 AAS 결합재에 대한 수요는 증가하고 있으나, AAS 결합재의 레올로지에 대한 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 물/결합재 비와 알칼리 활성화제 유형에 따른 AAS 페이스트의 레올로지 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 테이블 플로우와 유하시간을 측정하여 AAS 페이스트의 유동성을 평가하였고, 레올로지 시험을 통해 전단속도에 따른 전단응력을 분석하였다. 레올로지 시험결과를 Bingham model로 가정하여 레올로지 정수를 도출하고 유동성 평가 시험과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 결과적으로, 테이블 플로우와 항복응력, 유하시간과 소성점도와의 관계식을 제시하였다. 연구결과를 기반으로, AAS 모르타르 및 콘크리트를 제작하는데 참고자료로 제시하고자 한다.

차량 편의장치 통합 조작을 위한 MR 햅틱 장치 (MR Haptic Device for Integrated Control of Vehicle Comfort Systems)

  • 최근 차량내부에서는 운전과 직접적인 관련이 적은 다양한 편의장치들이 도입되고 있으며, 이러한 장치들의 조작환경을 하나로 통합하려는 노력이 시도되고 있다. 본 논문은 자동차 내의 다양한 편의장치에 대한 통합 조작환경을 구축하기 위해 자기유변유체(magnetorheological fluid; MR 유체)를 이용한 햅틱장치를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 차량 편의 조작장치들이 갖는 회전과 상하 수직 운동을 동시에 구현할 수 있는 메커니즘을 고안하고 햅틱 기능을 부여하기 위해 MR 유체를 도입함으로써 하나의 장치로 다기능 조작이 가능한 햅틱 장치를 고안한다. 장치에서 발생하는 반향력에 대한 모델링에 근거하여 MR 햅틱 장치의 자료를 설계하고 시작품을 제작한다. 그리고 완성된 장치의 회전 및 수직 운동에 대한 응답 성능시험을 수행하여 제안된 모델을 검정한다. 또한 힘 반향 성능을 구현하기 위해 장치의 반향력 모델을 이용한 역모델 보상기(inverse model compensator)를 설계한다. 마지막으로 실제 자동차의 여러 편의 기능의 작동과정을 고려하여 햅틱 반향력 맵을 구축하고 제어기와 연동하여 제작된 햅틱 장치의 힘반향(force-feedback) 제어 성능을 평가한다.
