본 논문에서는 기존의 CDMA 시스템에서 다중사용자 데이터 전송에 의해 발생하는 높은 PAPR 문제를 해결하기 위하여 pre-coding 기법을 이용한 2진 constant amplitude CDMA(CA-CDMA) 방식을 새롭게 제안한다. 제안하는 CA-CDMA의 기초인 4-user CA-CDMA 기법은 4명의 사용자에 대해 binary 크기의 신호를 출력하는 시스템이며, 이는 parity 신호를 이용하여 항상 $\pm$2의 크기를 갖고 길이가 4인 신호를 출력한다. Parity 신호는 입력되는 4명의 사용자 신호를 XOR한 신호로써 사용자들의 신호와 함께 전송되므로 별도의 부가채널을 필요로 하지 않으며, 수신단에서 쉽게 복원될 수 있다. 한편, 시스템 사용자 수의 확장은 4-user CA-CDMA를 반복 사용함으로써 이루어질 수 있다. 예로써 16-user의 경우, 4개의 4-user CA-CDMA를 병렬로 배치하고 각각의 4-user CA-CDMA에서 출력되는 신호를 다시 하나의 4-user CA-CDMA에 입력함으로써 쉽게 구현될 수 있다. 이는 각 4-user CA-CDMA의 출력 신호 역시 binary 신호이기에 가능하며, 동일한 방법으로 64-user, 256-user에 대해서도 2진 constant amplitude를 만족하는 출력 신호를 얻을 수 있다. 결국, 본 논문에서 제안하는 CA-CDMA는 코드율이 1이므로 전송속도나 대역폭 변화가 없으며, 항상 constant한 즉, PAPR이 항상 0 ㏈인 신호의 출력하여, 다중 사용자 전송에서도 비선형 HPA에 의한 왜곡을 방지하고 전력효율을 최대화 할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 성능확인 결과, 기존의 CDMA가 다중 레벨의 크기를 갖는 신호를 출력하는데 반해, 제안된 2진 CA-CDMA는 항상 binary 레벨로서 신호를 출력함을 알 수 있으며, 비선형 HPA를 고려하였을 때 BER(bit error rate)이 크게 증가하는 일반 CDMA와 달리, 제안된 2진 CA-CDMA의 BER은 전혀 변하지 않음을 알 수 있다.

본 연구에서는 BED(Binary ECG Description)기반의 바이너리 심전도(ECG) 변환시스템은 ECG 데이터의 상호연동성을 지원하기 위해 바이너리 ECG 파일을 XML기반의 HL7 aECG로 변환하는 시스템이다. 그러나, BED 시스템을 처음 사용하는 초보자는 XML을 사용하여 BED 문서를 작성하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 초보자들이 BED 문서를 쉽게 작성할 수 있도록 지원하는 시각적 도구인 BED 스튜디오를 구현한다. 이 시스템은 세부분, 즉 비주얼 편집기, XML트리 편집기, 그리고 포맷검증 뷰어로 구성된다. 포맷검증뷰어는 사용자가 비주얼 인터페이스를 사용하여 작성한 BED 문서를 바이너리 ECG 파일과의 포맷 매칭을 시각적으로 검사할 수 있도록 지원하여 BED 문서 작성시 발생할 수 있는 오류 가능성을 감소시켰다.

This paper proposes a new concept, called merit factor Fr, for evaluating the randomness of binary random sequences. The merit factor Fr is obtained from the expected values of the autocorrelation function of the binary random sequence. Using this merit factor Fr, randomness of the binary random sequences generated by the random sampling method is evaluated.

In this paper, a vision-based roadway detection algorithm for an automated vehicle control system, based on roadway sign information on roads, is proposed. First, in order to detect roadway signs, the color scene image is enhanced under hue-invariance. Fuzzy logic is employed to simplify the enhanced color image into a binary image and the binary image is morphologically filtered. Then, an effective algorithm of locating signs based on binary rank order transform (BROT) is utilized to extract signs from the image. This algorithm performs better than those previously presented. Finally, the inner shapes of roadway signs with curving roadway direction information are recognized by neural networks. Experimental results show that the new detection algorithm is simple and robust, and performs well on real sign detection. The results also show that the neural networks used can exactly recognize the inner shapes of signs even for very noisy shapes.

출력 키수열의 사이클 수가 암호 분야에서 새로운 평가 요소로서 제안된 바 있으나 대부분의 이진 수열 발생기는 출력 사이클이 1개 뿐인 것으로 알려져 있다 본 논문에서는 다수 사이클을 갖는 발생기의 기본 함수로서 switching-tap LFSR과 이를 응용한 Rueppel 개선형 다수열 발생기를 제안하였다. 그리고 개선된 발생기에 대하여 주기, 선형 복잡도 및 출력 사이클 수에 대하여 안전성을 분석하였다.

Speckle Interferometer equipped with an ITT intensified CCD have been used on the NCUO ( National Central University Observatory, Taiwan) 24-inch telescope for studying the orbits of bright binary systems selected from the Yale's Bright Star Catalogue. The high resolution and high sensitivity ITT intensified solid state video camera ( F4577 ) has external gain and gate control functions which will simplify the design of the speckle camera and allow us to do precise speckle photometry. The goal of this project is trying to study the bright binary systems with separations between the average size of seeing disk and the diffraction limit of the 24-inch telescope. Recently some observing data have been reduced and compared with the other teams' results. We are now improving the data reduction technology and trying to use real time observing mode on the monthly routine observation.

Ultrasonic velocity and density measurements have been undertaken for a number of binary liquid mixtures involving different commercial solvent extractants, LIX reagents. The binary mixtures under investigation have been classified under two categories such as polar-polar, and polar-non-polar types. Different theories and relations such as Schaaff's Collision Factor Theory (CFT), Nomoto's relation (NOM), and Van Dael & Vangeel ideal mixing relation (IMR) have been used to evaluate the velocity theoretically for all these binary systems. The relative merits of afore-mentioned theories and relations compared to experimental values of velocity have been discussed in terms of percentage variations. However, the CFT and Nomoto's relation show better agreement with the experimental findings than the ideal mixing relation for all the systems under investigation.

Solvatochromic fluorescence behavior of 8-aminoquinoline based benzothiazole derivative in varying solvent systems has been investigated. Benzothiazole appended 8-aminoquinoline 3 showed distinctive fluorescence color changes depending upon the solvent polarities and the fluorescence color changes occurred over relatively wide span in visible region from 486 nm to 598 nm which can be detected with naked eye. Compound 3 also exhibited significant spectral shifts in ${\lambda}_{em}$ as a function of water composition in binary aqueous solvent systems. The changes are due to the specific interaction of 3 by hydrogen bonding with water as well as general solvent effect. The observed solvatochromic fluorescence characteristics of 3 could be used as a new probe for the micro-environmental polarity changes as well as a sensitive sensor for the determination of water composition in binary aqueous solutions.

EA형이며 준분리형에 속하는 19개의 식쌍성에 대한 공전주기 변화를 조사하였다. 그런데 각 식쌍성의 주기 변화각 갑작스러운 주기 변화를 보이는 일차항의 광도요소를 갖는다는 가정하에 주기 변화를 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통하여 각 식쌍성의 주기 변화와 그 별의 물리량과의 상관관계를 조사하였다.

We presented fundamental stellar parameters and evolutionary statuses of six solar type detached eclipsing binaries whose masses are in the range of 0.97-1.43 $M_{\odot}$. EK Cep and FL Lyr belong to the zero age main sequence. HS Hya, IT Cas and CD Tau are on the main sequence. Their ages are 1.3, 1.9 and 2.2 Gyr, respectively. Both component stars of AI Phe evolved to sub giants and its age is 4.0 Gyr. Those ages of the detached binary systems show good agreement with the time scale for synchronization and circularization of the binary systems.
