도시하천 수변공간 내 자전거도로 개선방안 연구 (A study on improving the bike way in the Urban river Waterfront)

  • 본 연구 대상지 천안천은 도심지 내 주거 밀집지역과 다중이용시설에 근접하여 도심지를 관류하는 도시하천이다. 2006년부터 2015년까지 진행된 자연형 하천 정화사업은 하천기능 제고와 자연생태계 복원 및 친수공간을 확보하여 지역주민 삶의 질 향상을 도모하였다. 조성된 수변공간 내 자전거도로는 산책로 중심으로 사업이 시행되어 부족한 자전거도로 기능을 관련 법규에 알맞은 개선점을 제시하고자 한다. 활용실태 및 시민의식조사에서는 경사로, 하천 횡단시설, 계단시설, 안전시설, 표지판 및 노면표시, 주차시설 등의 문제점이 도출되었다. 그 개선점으로 경사로 12% 이하 개선과 징검다리로 단절된 구간 7개소에 잠수교 설치를 제시하였고, 자전거도로 관련 법규에 따른 표지판 노면표시 설치와 대중교통 환승에 필요한 천안역과 천안 버스터미널의 자전거 주차시설 확충 등을 제안하였다. 천안천 수변공간 내 자전거도로는 자전거 이용시설과 업무 조직의 제도적인 확충과 도시하천 자전거도로 관련 법규에 따른 시설개선으로 접근성과 단거리 이동의 이용률을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 생활교통 공간의 발전은 도심 교통난 해소와 자전거 교통 활성화에 기인하여 시민의 편익 증대가 기대된다.

Riding a Bike Not Owned by Me in Bad Air: Big Data Analysis on Bike Sharing

  • The sharing economy has significantly changed the way of living for years. The emergence and expansion of sharing economy empowered by the mobile information technologies and intellectual algorithms reconfigure how people use transportation means. In this paper, the bike sharing phenomenon is highlighted. Combining a big data set provided by the Seoul government about user logs and air quality data set, the empirical findings reveal that temperature change is tightly associated bike sharing activities. Also, the concentration of particulate matter is weakly related to bike sharing, but the trend should be carefully examined. By considering external environmental factors to bike sharing businesses, this work is differentiated. To further understand empirical data, data mining methods and econometric approaches were adopted.

  • 최근 친환경 교통수단에 대한 관심과 바이러스로부터의 안전성을 고려하여 도시 공간 내 공유자전거 활용에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 정보통신기술의 발달로 데이터를 수집하고 저장하는 기술이 향상되면서, 시민들의 공유자전거 사용에 따라 수집·저장되는 데이터를 활용한 도시 공간 내 이동성(Mobility)에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 문헌고찰을 통해 도시 공간 내 공유자전거 시스템을 통해 수집되는 데이터의 속성과 활용사례를 분석하여, 고찰·분석한 결과를 바탕으로 국내 공유자전거 시스템 중 하나인 세종특별자치시 어울링의 데이터 분석에 적용함으로써, 공유자전거 데이터 활용방안을 모색하였다. 분석대상으로 선정한 문헌은 GIS데이터, O-D데이터, 대여 및 반납 이력, 대여소 위치정보 및 주변정보, 날씨정보 등을 활용하여 GIS 네트워크 분석기법, 방정식 및 비율 분석, 소셜 네트워크 분석, 통계 및 네트워크 분석 등의 방법을 사용하였다. 데이터 분석을 통해 공유자전거 시스템의 현황 및 문제점을 파악하여 해결방안을 제안, 공유자전거 사용의 확장 및 활성화 방안 도출, 효율적인 공유자전거 관리 및 운영방안 도출을 위한 기초자료를 마련하였다. 궁극적으로, 데이터 분석을 통해 공유자전거를 활용하여 도시 공간 내 이동성(Mobility)을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Global warming awareness through energy conservation is growing due to the regulatory policies issued by governments and voluntary organization that established carbon emission limits. Transportation is one of the major contributors to carbon emissions. Bike will be simultaneously saving money, getting fit and helping to reduce global warming. Web design has been identified as a key factor for the acceptance and success of the websites and electronic commerce. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effective implementation of the proposed Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique on a bike case study whose company (Bike Company) is involved in web design for a critical component in the demonstration. Survey research used a variety of data collection methods, with the most common being questionnaires and interviews of some exporters. The research results reveal that the top five key success factors are Good reputation, Transaction security, Ease of use, Promotion, and Diversified choices, which provide the guidelines and directions for decision-makers to design effective websites in the current competitive business scenario. The major findings of this study are suggesting that Internet marketing channels are securing the company's relevance, together with paving the way for methods to increase web traffic.

혼합교통류 신호교차로에서 자전거교통 좌회전 통행방식 평가연구 (Evaluation of Left-Turn Passages for Bicycle Traffic in Mixed Traffic Stream at Signalized Intersections)

  • PURPOSES: This study proposes a novel method based on microscopic simulation models to evaluate bicycle passing ways in mixed traffic flow conditions at signalized intersections. METHODS: Both operational efficiency and safety are taken into consideration in the evaluation. A widely used performance measure, delay, is used for evaluating the operational efficiency. Regarding the safety evaluation, surrogate safety measures (SSM) to represent traffic conflicts and the level of crash severity, DeltaS and Max.DeltaV, are applied in the proposed method. RESULTS: Extensive simulations and statistical tests show that an integrated bike-box way is identified as the best in terms of operational efficiency and safety. CONCLUSIONS: The proposed method and outcomes of this study will be valuable for bicycle traffic operations and facility design.

철도폐선부지의 효율적 활용을 위한 평가기준 개발 (Development of Evaluation Criteria for Efficient Utilization of Railway Yards in Korea)

  • 친환경 교통수단인 철도에 대한 투자비중이 증가함에 따라 철도 고속화와 복선화 및 선형개량 사업, 철도노선의 교외지역 이설 등으로 폐선부지가 급속히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 철도폐선부지가 방치되어 도시미관을 저해하는 문제가 발생됨에 따라 최근 지자체에서는 철도폐선부지의 활용방안을 모색하고 있다. 또한, 국토교통부는 "철도유휴부지 활용지침"을 제정하여 보전 활용 기타부지 등 3가지 유형으로 분류하여, 폐선부지를 체계적으로 활용하고자 하였다. 그러나 현재 활용 중인 폐선부지는 공원, 레일바이크, 자전거도로, 태양광사업 등으로만 활용되고 있으며, 폐선부지의 다각화 및 사후평가에 대한 연구가 부재한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 폐선부지의 활용사례를 조사하고 전국 철도폐선부지를 대상으로 자연문화경관, 교육과학적 가치, 위치 및 접근성, 휴양 유발성, 개발여건 등 영향요인을 분석하여 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였고, 이를 통해 철도폐선부지의 활용 다각화 방안을 모색하고자 하였다.

Testing Differences of Leisure Satisfaction by Demogrpahic Characteristics of MTB participants

  • Purpose: Mountain biking as a sport and recreational activity has grown rapidly over the previous two decades. The purpose of this study is to analyze differences of leisure satisfaction by demographic characteristics of mountain bike participants. Research design, data, and methodology: To accomplish the purpose, the study employed purposive sample method among nonprobability sampling and collected data from 300 participants. Of collected data, 288 responses were analyzed excepted for uncompleted responses. To analyze data, study utilized statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, independent-sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and to verify difference between individual groups in relation to significant results, Duncan's multiple range was conducted. Results: Findings indicated no differences of leisure satisfaction by gender. Similarly, education level and occupations have not influence leisure satisfaction. Yet, differences of leisure satisfaction by participation frequencies were observed. Of participation frequencies, participants riding 5 times a week were more satisfied with MTB participation than the other groups participating less 3 times a week. Conclusions: The findings provide a couple of insights in terms of promoting MTB participation. In specific, results indicated that MTB would be attractive sports that is able to appeal huge populations regardless of their education and occupation. Furthermore, consistent participation is judged an effective way to increase psychological, educational, and social satisfaction. In this sense, regional MTB clubs could play a salient role in motivating riders to more participate in MTB. Hence, establishing strategies for encouraging club activities are needed.

다기준의사결정론을 적용한 자전거 과속방지턱 설계기법 연구 (Methodology for Designing Bicycle Speed Hump Using Multi-critiria Decision Making Process)

  • PURPOSES : Effective speed management is necessary for preventing traffic crashes on the road. Speed hump is known as an effective tool for managing speed. Unlike existing studies which are mainly focused on humps for vehicles, this study proposed a novel method to determine design parameters for bicycle speed humps based on a multi-criteria decision making process. METHODS : Three objectives including the effectiveness of speed reduction, bicycle safety, and user's comfortability were incorporated into the proposed evaluation framework for determining design parameters. A multi-criteria value function was also derived and utilized as a part of the proposed method. RESULTS : Extensive simulations and statistical tests show that an integrated bike-box way is identified as the best in terms of operational efficiency and safety. CONCLUSIONS : It is expected that the outcomes of this study can be a valuable precursor for developing design guidelines for bicycle road and facility.

  • Porous cement concrete was developed to prevent hydroplaning of airway pavement or to reduce noise emission in highway. In has been introduced in domestic since early 1980' and applied to a pedestrian road or bike way. The concrete, however, has problems such as lack of optimized mix design, low strength and deterioration, etc. The purpose of this study is to manufacture porous cement concrete using blast-furnace slag to enhance mechanical properties. The results of this study are as follows; the compressive strength range is 102∼247kgf/㎠, the tensile strength range is 16∼70kgf/㎠, the bending strength range is 43∼70kgf/㎠, and the coefficient permeability range is 6.79 ×10-2∼1.17∼10-1cm/sec. To develope high-performance porous concrete, further studies are needed on optimum mixture of fineness modulus and admixture.

The Urban Parks and Rivers Contribute to the Citizen Satisfaction and Utilization in Uijeongbu City

  • This research aimed at measuring Park and Green Satisfaction (PGS) using subjective indicators of 'surface, line and spot' green evaluated by citizens. Also frequency of visits to park and green measured using objective indicators (number of visits) to find the relationship with PGS. A conceptual model of PGS was developed to relate evaluation to satisfaction and finally to utilization of open spaces. A sample of 500 questionnaire survey was employed for Uijeongbu City in Korea. A Structual Equation Modeling (AMOS) techniques was used to test the hypothesized relationship among factors (construct). As a result, first, PGS was explained by three latent factors of 'urban park' (${\gamma}=0.54$), 'linear facilities' (${\gamma}=0.25$), and 'surface green' (${\gamma}=0.15$) respectively. These three exogenous construct was found very useful classification system for open spaces of cities. Second, PGS (${\gamma}=0.34$) was found as a mediating variable to utilization of open spaces and also PGS was closely related to citizens Environmental Quality Satisfaction (EQS), such concept as, 'livability' and 'aesthetic quality'. The more satisfied with park and green the more people use the space. The PGS was an important QOL indicator together with the subjective indicator of 'livability'. Third, jogging and walking trails and bike ways along the river corridor was the most important green facilities contribute to the PGS and EQS. The near the distance (within 500m) the more number of visit to river corridor (green way). The river corridor promote accessibility to nature and other parks.
