Objective: This study was performed to assess bacterial distribution concerned in sanitation management of public lavatory in Seoul. Methods: In this research, bacteriological investigation on public lavatory was accomplished for bidet water, bidet nozzle, washbowl and lavatory stool in the 50 public facilities such as public institutions, subway stations, cinema, department stores, large-scale buildings and hospitals amount to 374 specimens. Results: The geometric mean of colony forming unit(CFU) in total aerobic colony count were analyzed as follows; $5.2{\times}10^2/100cm^2$ on lavatory stool, $7.2{\times}10^3/ea$ on bidet nozzle, $7.8{\times}10^3/ea$ on center ring of washbowl, $1.4{\times}10/mL$ in bidet water (ml) and 7.0/ea on doorknob. Opportunistically pathogenic germs such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated in 3.7%, 5.9%, 3.2% and 1.9% of total specimens, respectively. Conclusion: The result of this study shows that there were some facilities where the pathogenic germs were detected to may cause urological infection. And the CFU of general bacteria as the representative indicator of disinfection and lavatory cleaning were high enough to imply the improvement of sanitation management of public lavatories should be contrived.

Heaters using the resistance heating principle are used in various industrial fields that require heat and are also essentially used in bidet among small home appliances. A planar heater and a coil-inserted heater mounted on a conventional commercially used bidet have disadvantages and limitations of complicated manufacturing process and local heating. In this study, silver-palladium (Ag-Pd) powder material was used for a screen-printing process that is more advantageous in achieving simplification than the existing process, and a rod-type heater for bidet was manufactured. The on-off cycle test under actual conditions was conducted to confirm the durability and the capability of the fabricated heater, and the fabricated heater operated more than 2,600 on-off cycles, which means it could be applied for a commercial product. In addition, through the on-off cycles under harsh conditions, the cause of failure was identified after the test that the durability limit temperature of the heater was 850℃. Through Ag-Pd rod heater in this study, it is expected to contribute to the efficient development of electrode materials for heaters and the improvement of the durability of heaters in the future.

본 논문에서는 기존의 비데와 인체 정보 수집 센서류를 결합한 IoT기반의 스마트 비데를 위해 생체 측정 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하고 사용자들의 사용 편의성을 증가시키는 모바일 기반 어플을 설계한다. 제시하는 모바일 어플은 스마트 비데의 체온센서, 산소포화도센서, 압력센서를 통해 수집된 사용자의 생체정보를 블루투스 기반 통신을 통해 실시간으로 생체신호를 수집 및 디스플레이 하며, 특정 기간의 데이터 통계를 통해 생체 정보의 이력을 사용자에게 효과적으로 제공함으로써 각종 질병 예방에 기여할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to identify more types of residents in medium-sized apartments in Seoul by lifestyle that has been used as a variable of space planning and to investigate and present bathroom design appropriate for characteristics of each resident type. The article examines the general characteristics, lifestyle types, and preference for the bathroom design. A total of 642 samples, acquired via internet survey, were analyzed with the statistical computer program SPSS PC+ window version 16.0. The conclusion of the article are as follows: 1) The lifestyle of users living in medium-sized apartments are categorized into 4 types: trend seeking, aesthetic seeking, family seeking, information seeking types. 2) The preference for the bathroom design of trend seeking type, the toilet is a bidet-builtin type and the washstand is a semi-counter type and the bathtub is a spa type and the shower booth is a bathtub-extending type. The storage closet is a upper-fixed type with two sides, the finishing materials are tiles and PVC monorium, and light built in a wall. 3) The preference for the bathroom design of aesthetic seeking type, the toilet is a bidet-builtin type and the washstand is a semi-counter type and the bathtub is a whirlpool type and the shower booth is a steam-sauna type. The storage closet is a upper-fixed with one side and opened closet, the finishing materials are tiles. 4) The preference for the bathroom design of family seeking type, the toilet is a bidet-builtin type and the washstand is a stand type and the bathtub is a reclamation type and the shower booth is a partition type. The storage closet is a upper-fixed with three sides. 5) The preference for the bathroom design of information seeking type, the toilet is a bidet-builtin type and the washstand is a semi-counter and the bathtub is a spa type and the shower booth is a partition type. The storage closet is a upper-fixed type with two sides. The results of this study may be used as basic data in planning bathroom design for housing supply for housing suppliers, and used as significant information for residents to identify their own types that can be referred when they select apartments to live in.

제조물책임법(Product liability Law) 시행이후 각종 전자제품에 대한 분쟁사례가 끊이지 않는 가운데 최근 비데(Bidet)에서 화재발생사례가 대두됨으로서 전자식비데에 대한 전반적인 특성 및 발화가능성에 대한 예측등을 통하여 이해도를 높이고 화재발생사례를 바탕으로 이론적 고찰에 접근해 보고자 한다.

비데는 깨끗하고 청결한 화장실 문화를 가져오고 각종 항문질환 예방에 도움이 되며, 또한 비만 환자, 노약자, 지체부자유자 등 용변에 불편을 느끼는 사람들에게 편의성을 제공하는 도구로서 본 논문에서는 다양화 되는 비데의 개발에 대하여 주요 국가별 핵심기술의 개발과 특허기술에 대한 내용을 제시하여 기술개발의 정보자료로 활용하고자 함이다.

본 연구에서 대상으로 하는 회전형 세정수 제어시스템은 비데용으로 사용되는 것으로, 크게 스테핑 모터부와 스테핑 모터에 의해서 구동되는 회전형 셀렉터부로 나눌 수 있으며, 셀렉터부는 비데, 일반세정, 국부세정, 건조의 4가지의 기능을 수행하는 구조로 되어있다. Fig. 1에 보이는 구조에서 상부셀렉터(upper selector)는 하부셀렉터(base selector)와 내부 자석사이에 위치해 있으며, 스테핑 모터의 초기 설정된 입력펄수 수에 비례하여 회전운동을 하고 해당 분사지점에 위치하게 된다.(중략)

본 논문에서는 비데용 물 분사 노즐의 내부유동을 가시화하기 위해서 여러 가지 설계변수에 관한 연구가 수행되었다. 특히 물 분사에 만 의존했던 과거의 세정시스템과는 달리 물과 공기를 혼합해서 물도 절약하고 세정의 효과도 높이고자 하는 기술을 개발하고자 했다. 상용코드인 CFD-ACE+를 이용하여 내부유동 특성을 관찰했고 여러 가지 인체 공학적인 설계가 되도록 다양한 각도에서 검토되었다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the condition of feminine hygiene behaviors to identify factors predicting bacterial vaginosis infection. Methods: A self-reporting survey was conducted with 385 female university students in Korea through a descriptive survey. Data were collected on demographics, feminine hygiene behaviors, and bacterial vaginosis infection. Results: The bacterial vaginosis infection rate was 37.9%. Factors predicting bacterial vaginosis infection were grade, age of menarche, history of sexual intercourse, history of sexually transmitted infection, experience of using a bidet, internal douche during menses, over the counter drug anti-itch products, tampons, and tampons/pads combination. Conclusion: To prevent bacterial vaginosis infection among female university students, information and education should be provided to promote positive feminine hygiene behaviors at the university and at home. Results of this study are essential to improve education and practices that will prevent bacterial vaginosis in female university students.
