Seismic resilience (SR) plays a vital role in evaluating and improving performance losses along with saving repair costs of structures from potential earthquakes. To further explore the developments, hotspots, and trend directions of SR, a total of 901 articles are obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database. CiteSpace software is used to conduct a bibliometric analysis, which indicates an upward trend of publications in SR and explores the relationship of countries, journals, cited references, and keywords based on visual maps and detailed tables. Then, based on the results of the bibliometric analysis, a state-of-the-art review is conducted to further explore the current challenges and trend directions of SR. The trend directions can be divided into five categories: (a) SR assessments of infrastructure structures, (b) multi-hazard quantifications of SR, (c) seismic resilient structures, (d) refining and calibrating analytical models, and (e) multi-criteria decision-making frameworks for sustainability and SR.

Bibliometric analysis for research performance evaluation can generate erroneous assessments for various reasons. Application of the same evaluation metric to different domains, for instance, can produce unfair evaluation results, while analysis based on incomplete data can lead to incorrect conclusions. This study examines bibliometric data of library and information science (LIS) research in Korea to investigate whether research performance should be evaluated in a uniform manner in multi-disciplinary fields such as LIS and how data incompleteness can affect the bibliometric assessment outcomes. The initial analysis of our study data, which consisted of 4,350 citations to 1,986 domestic papers published between 2001 and 2010 by 163 LIS faculty members in Korea, showed an anomalous citation pattern caused by data incompleteness, which was addressed via data projection based on past citation trends. The subsequent analysis of augmented study data revealed ample evidence of bibliometric pattern differences across subject areas. In addition to highlighting the need for a subject-specific assessment of research performance, the study demonstrated the importance of rigorous analysis and careful interpretation of bibliometric data by identifying and compensating for deficiencies in the data source, examining per capita as well as overall statistics, and considering various facets of research in order to interpret what the numbers reflect rather than merely taking them at face value as quantitative measures of research performance.

In order to understand China's internet governance, this paper examined 1,931 Internet policies of China by bibliometric techniques. Specifically, the bibliometric techniques include simple document counting, co-word analysis, collaboration network analysis and citation analysis. The findings include: (1) China's Internet legislations mainly emphasized e-commerce and Internet governance, and, to some extent, neglected personal data protection; (2) China's Internet is under intensive multiple regulatory controls by central government. A large number of government agencies are involved in Internet policy-making. The Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Information Leading Group of the State Council, enforced fewer policy documents, but occupy higher positions in the Internet governance hierarchy; (3) China's Internet legislation system is primarily composed of industry-specific administrative rules, rather than laws or administrative regulations. Nevertheless, laws and administrative regulations received significantly more citations owing to their superior force. This paper also discussed current gaps in China's internet governance and how the country's internet policies are situated in the broader global context.

Human exposure to pollutants has been on the rise. Thus, researchers have been focused on understanding the effect of these compounds on human health, especially on the genetic information by using various tests, among them the somatic mutation and recombination tests (SMARTs). It is a sensitive and accurate method applicable to genotoxicity analysis. Here, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of SMART assays in genotoxicity studies was performed to assess publication trends of this field. Data were extracted from the Web of Science database and analyzed by the bibliometric tools HistCite, Biblioshiny (RStudio), VOSViewer, and CiteSpace. Results have shown an increase in the last 10 years in terms of publication. A total of 392 records were published in 96 sources mainly from Brazil, Spain, and Turkey. Research collaboration networks between countries and authors were performed. Based on document co-citation, five large research clusters were identified and analyzed. The youngest research frontier emphasized on nanoparticles. With this study, how research trends evolve over years was demonstrated. Thus, international collaboration could be enhanced, and a promising field could be developed.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important to coping with air pollution. AI is effective in coping with it in various ways including air pollution forecasting, monitoring, and control, which is attracting a lot of attention. This attention has created high need for analyzing studies on AI and air pollution. To contribute for satisfying it, this study performed bibliometric analyses on the studies on AI and air pollution from 2012 to 2022 using the Web of Science database. This study analyzed them in various aspects such as the trend in the number of articles, the trend in the number of citations, the top 10 countries of origin, the top 10 research organizations, the top 10 research funding agencies, the top 10 journals, the top 10 articles in terms of total citations, and the distribution by languages. This study not only reports the bibliometric analysis results but also reveals the eight distinct features in the research steam in studies on AI and air pollution, identified from the bibliometric analysis results. They are expected to make a useful contribution for understanding the research stream in AI and air pollution.

Recently, some bibliometric researchers tried to use the centrality analysis methods and the centrality measures which are standard tools in social network analysis. However the traditional centrality measures originated from social network analysis could not deal with weighted networks such as co-citation networks. In this study. new centrality measures for analyzing bibliometric networks with link weights are suggested and applied to three real network data, including an author co-citation network, a co-word network, and a website co-link network. The results of centrality analyses in these three cases can be regarded as Promising the usefulness of suggested centrality measures, especially in analyzing the Position and influence of each node in a bibliometric network.

The improvement and richness of research in a particular domain are fundamentally based on their own various research topics and scientific or systematic research methodology. Especially considering fisheries business administration as a branch of business administration, the interdisciplinary concept will be a important factor in the research of fisheries business administration. This study analyzes fisheries business administration research through bibliometric analysis and meta-analysis to examine meta-data including research trends, researcher characteristics, and keywords. The 225 source articles are all papers published from 1990 to 2006 in the Journal of Fisheries Business Administration Society of Korea. Comparing previous research from the 80s, the major areas of Korean fisheries business administration research have changed and the rate of co-researched papers has also increased. In keyword-based meta-analysis, the topics of recent research are well balanced and diversified but some structural and editorial problems still remain. The result from meta-data and bibliometric information gathered in this study will help create guidelines for carrying out further rigorous research and enhancing the quality of research in fisheries business administration.

The interaction between technology and tourism has been a dynamic research area recently. This study aims to review the progress and development of technology in tourism research via a bibliometric analysis. We derive the source data from the Web of Science (WoS) core collection and use CiteSpace for bibliometric analysis, including countries, institutions, authors, categories, references, and keywords. The analysis results are as follows: i) The number of published articles on the role of technology in tourism has increased in recent years. ii) Technology-related articles in tourism are abundant in Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, and Annals of Tourism Research. iii) The countries with the most contributions are China, the US, and the UK. The most active institutions are the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Central Florida, Bournemouth University, University of Queensland, and Kyung Hee University. iv) The reference analysis results identify eight extensively researched topics from the most cited papers, and the keyword burst analysis results present an emerging trend. This study identifies the effect and development of technology in tourism research. Our findings provide implications for researchers about the current research focus of technology and the future research trend of technology in the tourism field.

This study uses bibliometric methods to analyze publications regarding the use of acupuncture in osteoarthritis over the past 20 years and presents an overview of global research trends. Publications related to acupuncture in osteoarthritis from 2003 to 2022 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection Database. An analysis of the extracted records was conducted according to their publication year, research area, journal title, country, organization, author, and keywords. The VOSviewer program was used to visualize the research trends on acupuncture in osteoarthritis. An analysis of 380 articles indicated a consistent increase in the use of acupuncture for osteoarthritis treatment over the past 20 years. Many articles have been published in research areas such as "integrative complementary medicine" and "general internal medicine." The most prolific journal was Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine. In terms of article publication, the most productive country and research organization were China and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, respectively. The most frequently occurring keywords were "acupuncture," "knee osteoarthritis," and "pain." This study used a bibliometric analysis to provide an overview of global research trends on acupuncture in osteoarthritis. These findings may suggest the future direction of research on the treatment of acupuncture in osteoarthritis.
