다공성 제올라이트의 특성을 이용한 기공율 추정 연구 (Porosity Estimation Using the Characteristics of Porous Zeolite)

  • 본 연구에서는 제올라이트의 물리적 특성으로부터 기공율을 추정하는 연구를 수행하였다. 입자상 물질의 기공율 직접 측정의 어려움으로 본 연구에서는 여러 문헌에서 제시된 계산식에 제올라이트의 물리적 특성 측정값을 적용하여 기공율을 계산하였다. 이를 위해 제올라이트 3종-zeolite beta, zeolite Y, ZSM-5-에 대해 각각의 평균입자 크기 및 particle size distribution, 비표면적 및 기공특성을 측정하였으며, 가스와 액상을 이용한 진밀도, tap과 untapped를 적용한 겉보기 밀도를 측정하였다. 측정결과로부터 기공율을 계산하여 결과를 비교하고 기공율을 결정하는 주요 인자에 대해 평가하였다.

고강도 $Si_3N_4/SiC$ 구조세라믹스에 관한 연구 (High Strength $Si_3N_4/SiC$ Structural Ceramics)

  • Si3N4(p)-SiC(p) composites were prepared by gas pressure sintering at 190$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. $\alpha$-SiC with average particle size of 0.48${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ were dispersed from zero to 50vol% in $\alpha$-Si3N4 with average particle size of 0.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Y2O3-Al2O3 system was used as sintering aids. When 10vol% of SiC was added to Si3N4, optimum mechanical properties were observed; relative density of 98.8%, flextural strength of 930MPa, fracture toughness of 5.9MPa.m1/2 and hardness value of 1429kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$. Grain growth of $\beta$-Si3N4 was inhibited as the amount of added SiC was increased. SiC particles were found inside the $\beta$-Si3N4 intragrains in case of 10, 20 and 30vol%SiC added composites.

광학입자계수기를 이용한 안면도 연직 에어러솔 수농도 크기 분포 특성 (Features on the Vertical Size Distribution of Aerosols using Ballon-borne Optical Particle Counter at Anmyeon)

  • A balloon-borne Optical Particle Counter (hereafter "OPC Sonde"), which was developed by the atmospheric research group of Nagoya University, is used for getting the information of vertical profile of particle size and concentration in Anmyeon ($36^{\circ}32^{\prime}N$ $126^{\circ}19^{\prime}E$) on 18 March 2005. A range of five different particle sizes is shown in the vertical profile of aerosol number density estimated from the OPC Sonde. It was found that small size particles have vertically larger aerosol number density than relatively big ones. For all size ranges the vertical aerosol number density shows a decreased pattern as the altitude becomes higher. The aerosol number density of $0.3{\sim}0.5{\mu}m$, $0.5{\sim}0.8{\mu}m$, $0.8{\sim}1.2{\mu}m$ size ranges at the 10km height, which is the tropopause approximately, are $1,000,000ea/m^3$, $100,000ea/m^3$, $10,000ea/m^3$ respectively. The data of OPC Sonde are also compared with the data of PM10 $\beta$-ray) and Micro Pulse Lidar which are operating at Korea Global Atmosphere Watch Observatory in Anmyeon.

베타 확률분포를 이용한 입자 떼 최적화 알고리즘의 성능 비교 (On the Comparison of Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Performance using Beta Probability Distribution)

  • This paper deals with the performance comparison of a PSO algorithm inspired in the process of simulating the behavior pattern of the organisms. The PSO algorithm finds the optimal solution (fitness value) of the objective function based on a stochastic process. Generally, the stochastic process, a random function, is used with the expression related to the velocity included in the PSO algorithm. In this case, the random function of the normal distribution (Gaussian) or uniform distribution are mainly used as the random function in a PSO algorithm. However, in this paper, because the probability distribution which is various with 2 shape parameters can be expressed, the performance comparison of a PSO algorithm using the beta probability distribution function, that is a random function which has a high degree of freedom, is introduced. For performance comparison, 3 functions (Rastrigin, Rosenbrock, Schwefel) were selected among the benchmark Set. And the convergence property was compared and analyzed using PSO-FIW to find the optimal solution.

Effect of ${\beta}$-Sitosterol in Liposome Bilayer on the Stabilization of Incorporated Retinol

  • In this study, the effect of ${\beta}$-sitosterol (SS) in the liposome bilayer on the stability of incorporated retinol was evaluated. Retinol was incorporated into liposomes consisting of various ratios of soybean phoaphatidylcholine (PC) to SS, while liposomes were prepared as multilamellar vesicles by the dehydration/rehydration method. Retinol was readily incorporated into liposomes with various SS contents, with incorporation efficiencies higher than 98% for all conditions. The incorporation efficiency of retinol increased slightly as the SS content in liposomes increased. Its average particle size also increased as the SS content increased. Mean particle size at PC to SS ratios of 100:0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, and 50:50 were 12.16, 17.57, 35.00, 40.62, 83.45, and $88.94\;{\mu}m$, respectively. Liposomal retinol degradation in aqueous solution was measured with respect to SS content at various periods of time at four different temperatures of 4, 25, 37, and $50^{\circ}C$, and the stability of the incorporated retinol enhanced as the SS content increased. At $4^{\circ}C$, for example, retinol in the liposomes of 50:50 (PC:SS) remained at 84.42% after storage for 10 days, while in 100:0 (PC/SS) it remained at 42.62%. These results indicate that SS content in liposomes played an important role in the incorporation efficiency of retinol and its stability.

Estimation of the optimal heated inlet air temperature for the beta-ray absorption method: analysis of the PM10 concentration difference by different methods in coastal areas

  • Based on the measurement data of the particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of less than or equal to a nominal 10 ${\mu}m$ (PM10) by the ${\beta}$-ray absorption method (BAM) equipped with an inlet heater and the gravimetric method (GMM) at two coastal sites in Korea, the optimal inlet heater temperature was estimated. By using a gas/particle equilibrium model, Simulating Composition of Atmospheric Particles at Equilibrium 2 (SCAPE2), water content in aerosols was estimated with varying temperature to find the optimal temperature increase to make the PM10 concentration by BAM comparable to that by GMM. It was estimated that the heated air temperature inside the BAM should be increased up to $35{\sim}45^{\circ}C$ at both sites. At this temperature range, evaporation of volatile aerosol components was minor. Similar ($30{\sim}50^{\circ}C$) temperature range was also obtained from the calculation based on the absolute humidity which changed with ambient absolute humidity and chemical composition of hygroscopic species.

다순환 여과시험에 의한 자동차용 연료필터의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of an Automotive Fuel Filter by Multi-Pass Filtration Test)

  • Filtration performance of an automotive fuel filter was evaluated based on the theory of Beta ratio. This study also introduced the fuel components' contamination performance test stand incorporating the multi-pass filtration test circuit. The theoretical basis of multi-pass test and test procedure were described in detail. The specification of commercial fuel filter currently available was just the maximum pressure drop across the filter assembly and the holding capacity of contaminants. However, test results revealed that the fuel filter tested could not maintain consistent Beta ratio, that is filtration efficiency, although it had the holding capacity close to the specification. Hence the Beta ratio should be specified in service life. The results also showed that filtration system model should be refined including desorption ratio to estimate the variable Beta ratio in the test.

  • Fine Si-Al-OH coprecipitate powders were prepared from Si- and Al-alkoxides by the hydrolysis method. $\beta$-Sialon powder was obtained from prepared Si-Al-OH coprecipitate by the simultaneous reduction and nitridation method. The syntehsized Sialon powder was pressureless sintered at 175$0^{\circ}C$ for 90 min in N2 atmosphere. The characterization of the Sialon powder was performed with XRD, BET, SEM, TEM and particle size analysis. The sinterability and mechanical properties of sintered bodies were investigated in terms of relative density, M.O.R., fracture toughness, hardness and the morphology of microstructure. The highest values of their mechanical properties were obtained for the $\beta$-Sialon ceramics at Z=1 and those values are as follows : M.O.R., KIC and HV of $\beta$-Sialon ceramics(Z=1) are 499.1 MPa, 5.9MN/m3/2 and 18.7GPa, respectively.

Diazotized Chitin에 고정된 $\beta$-glucosidase의 생물 반응기에서의 동특성 (Characteristics of $\beta$-glucosidase Immobilized on the Diazotized Chitin in Bioreactors)

  • Diazotized chitin (CHITN) was synthesized reacting with NaN3 and HCl to alkaline hydrolyzed chitin for the support of immobilized enzyme. Immobilized $\beta$-glucosidase on diazotized chitin(CHITN-Gase) was produced reacting with glutaraldehyds as bifunctional reagent. CHITN-Gase activities were determined reacting with p-nitrophenol-$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside in plug flow reactor as a reference. Optimum temperature, optimum pH, reaction constant and deactivation rate were determined with variation of flow rate and H/D. The particle size of immobilized enzyme in the best was, 35 mesh (CHITN35-Gase). The optimum conditions of immobilized enzyme were $70^{\circ}C$ in temperature and 5.0 in pH. Diameter and flow rate of plug flow reactor in the best was 8.5mm in diameter and 0.8ml/min in flow rate. Reaction constant was mainly influenced by electrostatic force. The best glucose hydrolizing activities of CHITN3 5-Gase was 3.34$\times$10-5 M/1. while that of native-$\beta$-glucosidase was 2.44$\times$10-5 M/1.
