This study was designed to determine the effects of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and estradiol $17-{\beta}$ on the in vitro proliferation of stromal vascular cell from Hanwoo omental, subcutaneous, intermuscular and intramuscular adipose tissues. Cells were cultured in M199+20% newborn calf serum and the proliferation of cells was measured by direct microscopic cell counting and change of genomic DNA amount. Cell numbers increased slightly over the first 72 hour of culture and then increased greatly, regardless of adipose tissue depots. In IGF-1 treatment, the number of omental preadipocytes maintained highest level from the beginning to the 20th day of culture. However, in estradiol-$17{\beta}$ treatment, those tended to be lower than the control from the beginning of culture and significantly lower at the 24th day. When IGF-1 was added to subcutaneous preadipocytes, the numbers of cells were higher from 11th day than those from other treatments, although there was no statistical significance. For intermuscular preadipocytes treated with IGF-1, its numbers were significantly (p<0.05) higher at 11th day, and in the other days it showed a similar tendency to those of the subcutaneous tissue. In this experiment, preadipocytes were taken from 24 month old fully matured steers and the highest proliferation rate was shown in intramuscular tissue followed by those of subcutaneous preadipocytes. Addition of $5{\mu}M$ estradiol-$17{\beta}$ to the growth medium failed to promote the replication of Hanwoo preadipocytes, as indicated by direct cell counts and total genomic DNA content. As the culture period proceeded, the amounts of DNA were increased, but the patterns of increment were not consistent with the results of cell numbers.

Written simultaneously with Prometheus Unbound, Shelley's "Julian & Maddalo" is a masterwork of dramatic poiesis, of doubling embedded in its couplets, dialogic debate on human nature and contrasted symbolic emblems. The emblems mirror each other and are themselves sites of generative paradox: the "heaven illumined" but "dreary tower" of the Maniac and the glorious sunsets on the "ever-shifting sand" of the Lido, a wasteland that is a place of self discovery but also of "abandonment" and barren mingling figured, inter alia, in its "amphibious weeds," a trope of the poem's personae. This essay also explores the poem's dramatic structure and various rhetorical devices, beginning with the Preface, a threshold of complex identity disguise that Shelley uses for veiled self-presentation, as in "Alastor," mirroring and literary references replete with nuanced ironies. I focus mainly on the complex figures of liminality Shelley uses to develop his own thoughts (as well as his ongoing debates with Byron) about man's potential for growth in thought, insight and empathy, in political reform and interpersonal and individual healing. Advancing Shelley's most optimistic ideas, Julian, escorted by Maddalo observes the Maniac, -- a living ruin whose pained eloquence reveals the link of eros to poiesis and the limits of the latter's ability to 'transform a world.' The Maniac is the core of muse-work (remembering, thinking and song) and Shelley presents him as its emblem. He also is prefigured in and reflects the quintessentially liminal Lido with its "barren embrace" of sea and land. Yet it is less the Maniac's feeling that his grief is "charactered in vain…on this unfeeling leaf" than Julian's rationales for leaving the site of pain that point to Shelley's final comment on poetry's transformative limits. As the primary haploids of the drama's meiosis re-combine and two of them, Maddalo and the maniac fall away, an analogy I briefly develop and embedded in the erotic dynamics of poiesis, Shelley suggests, as he did at the beginning of his poetic lyricism in "Alastor" and at its end in "the Triumph of Life"that images mislead and delude; that "the deep truth is imageless" and redemption is not in but beyond figuration.

Objectives: Reportedly, the main influential factors on students' adaptation to their college life were social support, stress, adaptation resilience, self-esteem, and satisfaction with their major. This study tried to find the actual influence of these factors on dental hygiene students, and to find an intervention plan for improving their adaptation to college life and preventing their dropout. Methods: An online questionnaire survey had been conducted with 270 dental hygiene students from June 21 to July 2, 2021. The collected data were analyzed with the use of SPSS Program Version 22.0. Results: Firstly, students living together with their family, those satisfied with their major, and those doing a club activity related to their major scored high points in terms of the adaptation to college life. In addition, the adaptation points were high in those whose school entrance motivation was arbitrary, and in those who entered in the dental hygiene department in consideration of their aptitude. Secondly, college life stress was high in those whose entrance motivation was in other persons' will, those who entered in the department due to their school record and occupation, rather than aptitude, those who were also doing a part-time job, and those whose economic level was low. Thirdly, adaptation resilience, social support, and self-esteem were high in those who were highly satisfied with their major, those who entered in the department in consideration of aptitude, and those whose economic level was high. Fourthly, the biggest influential factor on their adaptation to college life was college life stress, followed by self-esteem, satisfaction with major, and adaptation resilience in order. Conclusion: Given all the results, it is necessary to analyze dental hygiene students' levels of stress, self-esteem, social support, and adaptation resilience from the beginning of their entrance, and to operate a school life adaptation program in line with school years. If any customized support and training are given to these students to deal with a variety of stress situations resiliently and wisely and achieve their jobs successfully, it is expected to improve their self-esteem and adaptation resilience, and thereby increase their adaptation to college life.

This paper considers the possibilities of health promotion from the following perspectives; (1) IUHPE, (2) socio-cultural similarities, (3) action research, and (4) learning from our past. 1. The IUHPE values decentralized activities through regions, and countries such as Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China belong to NPWP region. Since IUHPE World Conference was held in Japan in 1995, Japan used to occupy more than 60% of NPWP membership. After 2001, membership is increasing rapidly in Chinese speaking sub-region. The transnational collaboration is still in its beginning phase. 2. Confucianism is one of key points. Confucian tradition should not be seen only as obstacles but as advantages to seek a form of health promotion more acceptable in East Asia. 3 Within the new public health framework, people are expected to create and live their health. However, especially in Japan, the tendency of 'lacking of face-to-face explicit interactions' is still common at health-promotion settings as well as academic settings. Therefore, the author tried participatory approaches such as asking WIFY(interactive questions designed for subjects to review their daily life and environment) and as introducing round table interactions. So far, majority of participants welcome new trials. 4. The following social phenomena are comparatively discussed after Japanese invasion and occupation of Korea ended in 1945; status of oriental medicine, separation of dispensary services, and health promotion specialist as a national license. In contrast to Japanese' tendency of maintaining the status quo and postponing of substantial social change, trend toward rapid and dynamic social changes are more commonly observed in Korea. Although all of above possibilities are still in their beginning stages, they are going to offer interesting directions waiting for further challenges and accompanying researches.

A lot of fire pattern has found at Pyongan-region in 5th century. The ceiling right above 'Dori' frequently had the pattern. The pattern is organized in 'Kyoho' method. The sun.moon pattern was shown in Pyongan-region in 5th century. '3-leg bird'. representative of sun, and frog, representative of moon. were drawn in the pattern in 6th century, rabbit was added with frog in the pattern. Flying angel pattern had found most in Jipan region in 5th century. The pattern was not found in 4th century. Two types of the pattern are angels playing $$\mu$ical instruments and angels preying. The hill tree pattern was simple, antique, and immature in the beginning. the pattern had developed with real description as a landscape picture after the beginning. this pattern has been categorized as a landscape painting. Holy animal and bird patternn had placed in supporting rock between ceiling and floor with the mean of protection in after life These pattern, which were previously influenced by Chines culture, were developed with a base of Koguryo own tradition and supported establishment of a characterized Koguryo Cloture. This study will be a basic document for modern fashion industry of 21 century.

This research focuses on functionalism in American fashion designs which have become the center of public attention in recent. First, documentary studies about how functionalism, which originated in Europe in the beginning of the 20th century, has been developed throughout the 20th century were preceded Second, content analysis was done for the articles, including the word ‘unction’,‘utility’ and ‘practical’in the New York Times and American Vogue from January 1990 to January 2001. As a result, functionalism in 1990s has been developed in different ways from the mechanical, organic, and mea analogies of functionalism in the beginning of 20th century. It doesn't belong to an analogy but has the fused characteristics of those three analogies. It can be classified into techno functionalism influenced by new technology, pure functionalism related to minimalism, sports casual functionalism for those who are crazy about the speed and sports and enjoy the freedom and comfort, and symbolic functionalism which stresses Zen style. More casual manners of formal wear are distinct elements in functionalist fashion design in 1990s. It leads to strong expressions of sports casual functionalism, which plays a great role in sportswear industry of American fashion design. The American fashion designers who were mentioned often in the articles were Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Ralph lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. As well as their works have common formative features based on functionalism, each of them shows his/her own strung color. A]1 of these designers make American fashion design, which can be defined as casual wear or sportswear, very popular worldwide based on the developed American functionalism. Functionalism considering practical and conceptional functions will continue in coming century and techno functionalism and sports casual functionalism in future fashion designs wilt be expressed more strongly with new technology and casual trends of life style.

Despite evidence that early childhood teachers play a critical role in guiding children through their child assessment, most beginning teachers in the survival stage face the greatest difficulties in this area. Using the intentional and purposeful tools of action research, this collaborative action study supports a beginning teacher in reflecting upon her perceptions of the 'child assessment' of young children and devising and evaluating good guidance practices. During the course of the study, the participating teacher became engaged in more reflective teaching which prompted her to perceive the "child assessment" of the children from different perspectives. As her understanding of the importance of making her curriculum and classroom climate more engaging and meaningful deepened and she reconceptualized her notion of child assessment, the teacher witnessed positive changes in her students' behaviors which, in turn, increased her sense of efficacy. These very positive, empowering results are strong recommendation for using collaborative action research especially in the novice years of teaching for it provides the teacher with a life-long transformative tool for professional development.

We here discuss about the roles and meaning of Joseon mathematics in the history of Asian mathematics from cultural perspective. To do so, we focus on culture. We first look at the meanings and the definitions of the terms, civilization and culture, and their differences. We next discuss on the cultural perspective to look at the mathematical history of Korea, which is considered as a part of the history of Asian mathematics. It is notable that Joseon mathematics of Korea made Asian mathematics develop further, and played the roles of academic bridges among China, Korea and Japan. It also kept and prolonged the life of the Asian mathematics up to the beginning of the 20th century.

The year of 2009 marks the $200^{th}$ anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, On the Origin of Species. Having survived the 150 years of hardening and tempering, Darwin's theory of natural selection is now more comprehensive and powerful than ever. It casts its shadow over nearly all academic disciplines and societal sectors. It truly revolutionized the way we look at the world and ourselves. In the midst of Darwinian revolution, however, Korea remains as a backward country as far as the understanding of Darwin and his theory is concerned. A variety of intellectual activities organized to celebrate the Year of Darwin is helping to narrow the gap. This article summarizes the kinds of such activities held in Korea this year and explains how Darwin made all this possible. To paraphrase the famous quotation by Theodosius Dobzhansky, I now dare to say, "Nothing in life makes sense except in the light of evolution".

The goal of nutrition of the preterm infant is to "provide nutrients to approximate the rate of growth and composition of weight gain for a normal fetus of the same postmenstrual age and to maintain normal concentrations of blood and tissue nutrients" (American Academy of Pediatrics 2014). Failure to provide the necessary amounts of all of the essential nutrients to preterm infants has produced not only growth failure, but also increased morbidity and less than optimal neurodevelopment. This continues to be true despite many efforts to increase nutrition of the preterm infants. In contrast, enhanced nutrition of very preterm infants, both intravenous and enteral, beginning right after birth, promotes positive energy and protein balance and improves longer term neurodevelopmental outcomes. The benefits are long lasting too, particularly for prevention of later life chronic diseases.
