Cooking food is very important in Chinese medicine when we regard the food to be the principal origin of the nutrition of human body and the condition required to maitain the activities of the life of human body. Chinese medicine has accumulated the diverse and rich experience of cooking food through long clinical experience as well as made an important contribution to the healthy and long life through the unique theory of cooking food. Chineses medicine has deep view on the relations between food cooking and healthy and long life as well as presented the principle of cooking food created unique ways of food cooking such as food treatment. As the above, from the ancient times, Chinese medicine established Chinese medical science of nutrition under the consciousness of the theory that food and medicine have the same origin and practiced the methods of promoting the health through rightly selecting the foods. Therefore it has been thought that human beings can enjoy healthy life by rich supply of the nutrition. Comfortable ways of sleeping requie the emotion and peace with temperation in pleasure and anger, and also we should be temporate in eating, acting, sleeping posture and be flee from the wind, and we should not put on a quilt when sleep, and we should sleep alone and be careful about sexual life. The concrete measures for sexual intercourse are that: 1) we should marry at the right age not to be married at early age. 2) we should obey nature and not live unmarried life. 3) we should be temperate in having sexual intercoure and in excessive sexual desire. Regarding the residence and clothes: the residence environment should be calm and beautiful and the room for the residence should be well designed to be clean and sanitary and we should wear suitable clothes. All living creatures are living according to the rhythm of the living body and the change of the great nature. The Reason why the living things show the periodical rhythm is not that it is the truth of the great nature, but that the living life itself shall be ceased to be existed in case of running counter to such rhythm. There are 2 specially important things: one is about food in biological view and the other is the residence in social side. By starting from the theory that food and medicine have the same origin and root, we should rightly select the foods to promote the health at the maximum, and it is very important for human to be well obeying the environment and temperate in the life of residence and mind (Choi, Sam Byun, Shon, Sook Young, 1997). As the above, the cook in Chinese medicine suggests us the suitable ways of achieving the goal of nursing. Therefore the continuous study of this field is necessary based on this my study though it is unsatisfactory at this time but it would be the basic materals in establishing the nursing science of Chinese medicine.

This study investigated physiological and subjective responses to different types of firefighter station uniforms made with various designs and materials. Six healthy males participated in this study that consisted of 20 min of rest, 30 min of treadmill exercise, and 30 min of recovery in a hot and humid environment (34℃ and 65%RH). The experimental clothing conditions were as follows. 1) a fitted T-shirt and trouser made of 100% polyester (FC-Uniform), and 2) flame retardant T-shirts made of acrylic and cotton as well as trousers with aramid and polyester, designed for overfitting (Control). There were no significant differences in the body temperature, and sweat rate between the two conditions; however, the heart rate with the FC-Uniform was significantly lower than Control (p=.025). The clothing microclimate temperature at the chest of the FC-Uniform was significantly lower than the Control (p=.037), and a difference of 1℃ was maintained until the recovery was complete. There were no significant differences in the subjective responses; however, participants experienced a humidity sensation faster with FC-Uniform in the recovery phase. The results indicate that changes in the design and material of firefighter station uniforms may have a positive influence on reducing the thermal stress of firefighters.

Exochorda serratifolia, broad-leaved shrub has beautiful flowers and is resistant to cold, shade and decease. New this native plant is considered to be worth being exploited as the outstanding plant for landscaping and horticulture. So this study was executed to utilize Exochorda serratifolia as the planting material for landscaping and horticulture through the survey of its habitat environment and the experimennt of its seed physiology and germination, vegetative propagation, culture and utilization, etc.. The results are as follows ; 1. The color of the flower is white, blooming in the early and middle of May and the seeds ripen late in Sep.. 2. The elevation, elevation, gradient and direction of the native habitat were 250m, 20-25$^{\circ}$and northern side respectively. 3. The soil pH of the natural habitat was 5.3 and soil fertility was poor. 4. Exochorda serratifolia appeared as indicator within P. densiflora community and its neighboring species were Q. mongolica, Q. dentata, R. mucronulatum, L. obtusiloba, E. oxyphillus, C. heterolphylla, var thunbergii, etc.. 5. The optimum temperature for seed germination was found at 20$^{\circ}C$ and the longer the stratification period at 5$^{\circ}C$ was, the lower the germination rate was. 6. The treat merits of GA and Kinetin increased the seed germination rate, especially under the dark condition but their high concentrations decreased the seed germination rate. 7. The rooted rate of the greenwood cutting was the highest at IBA 100ppm plot of vermiculite bed but its high concentration decreased the rooted rate conspicuously. 8. In the tissue culture, the each 1.0 ppd plot of NAA, Kinetin and NAA 1.0ppm + Kinetin showed the best growth. And the mixture of NAA 1.0ppm and Kinetin showed better growth than the single treatment of NAA or Kinetin did. 9. Transplanted Exochorda serratifolia showed healthy growth with shaded environmental condition(42.1% light intensity), therefore they can be cultivated as a shade tolerant landscape plant. 10. It was considered that Exochorda serratifolia was applicable to group planting at shade places or under trees in parks, homes, etc..

This study aimed to provide consumer perception and evaluation of natural Cynanchi Atrium Fermented Original Cosmetics for Skin Whitening that can improve skin by using oriental medicinal ingredients. The product was applied three times a day for two weeks by a total of 60 users who agreed to participate in a clinical trial assessing the usability and skin sensitivity to extracts that had already completed component safety testing. This study subjects reported which images were most reminiscent of Korea. They preferred products that bore Korean images because they felt trust and recognized that the quality of the cosmetics was excellent. The responses also showed that many consumers were willing to buy a product, even though it was luxurious, elegant, and expensive. The cognitive evaluation of Original Cosmetics was high and showed that the quality was likely to be good. The usability and CMF(Color, Material, Finishing) evaluation of Original Cosmetics showed good product the product is long-lasting and tightened and moisturized skin naturally. They are think about that this product it has moisturizing effects and good application for use, so it is light and soft to use. And had a whitening effect. It was intended to assist in the development of products that meet consumers' desires and expectations for safe, healthy, and beautiful skin by developing a skin whitening Original Cosmetics prototype that can inhibit the production of melanin and tyrosinase activity safely and effectively.

This study examines the comfort of outdoorwear by electrocardiogram (ECG) and electroencephalogram (EEG) analyses. An experiment that consisted of rest (30 min), exercise (30 min), and recovery (20 min) periods was administered in a climate chamber with 10 healthy male participants. Two kinds of outdoorwear made of 100% cotton fabrics ('Control') and specially engineered fabrics having the feature of quick sweat absorbency and high speed drying fabric ('Functional') are evaluated in the experiment. ECG and EEG signals were obtained during the rest and recovery periods for the two outdoorwear conditions. The ECG analysis identified a smaller decrement of high frequency (HF) power for the 'Functional' when compared with the 'Control' during the recovery period. Next, the EEG analysis showed that the relative band powers of slow $\alpha$ and mid $\alpha$ increased for the 'Functional' while they decreased for the 'Control' and that the ratio of $\alpha$ power to high $\beta$ power was higher for the 'Functional'. The evaluation results indicate that the participants could remain relaxed more with less stress while wearing the functional outdoorwear that demonstrated the positive effects on autonomic nervous system (ANS) activities. The present study is significant in regard that use of ECG and EEG for the assessment of wear comfort is the first in the field of clothing and textile.

The treatment before growing into disease is the highest level of the spirit of oriental preventive public medicine. Specially the treatmentt is very important in the life style disease of the aged society, and it is closely connected the human body-form diagnosis reflecting the character of individual physiology and pathology. The human body-form diagnosis explain systematically the color of face, the form and movement of the body, the smell and the taste, the mentality, many or few of $Yin{\cdot}Yang$, the state of pulse, the Meridian, the state of pathology and the direction of the treatment, and therefore the human body-form diagnostis method has also the practical ity on classifying the type. As the spirit of oriental preventive public medicine is based on the Meridian control method and food cooking control method, it has an important effect on the general management of the disease, the making on the beautiful face and the healthy body, the prolongation of life, the management of the individual-ordered health.

건강하고 아름다운 모발을 보호하기 위해 펌 제에 알로에 추출물을 첨가해 모발보호 효과를 알아보고자 한다. 처치 군은 그룹 II(파마 약만 사용한 그룹), 그룹 III(알로에 추출물을 1제에만 첨가), 그룹 IV(알로에 추출물을 2제에만 첨가), 그룹 V(알로에 추출물을 1제와 2제에 첨가)로 나누어 진다. 실험 모발은 1년간 영구 염색 등 화학치료를 받지 않은 20대, 30대, 40대 여성의 모발에서 채취해 100% 알로에 추출용액을 사용한다. 머리카락 굵기와 큐티클, 인장강도, 신장 및 연신율을 측정하기 위해 실험 환경은 28.9도, 습도는 72%로 유지했다. 모든 통계 시험은 5% 유의수준에서 수행되었다. 큐티클, 연신율, 형성률이 현저히 향상되었고(P<.05) 큐티클은 그룹 V에서, 연신율은 그룹 III에서 가장 좋았다. 결론적으로 파마 치료에 첨가된 알로에는 큐티클, 신장률, 모발 형성에 효과적이었다.

본 연구에서는 일반 폴리시와 젤 폴리시의 안전성 인식 및 손톱 손상도에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법은 본 연구에 참여를 동의한 20~50대 여성을 대상으로 사전 설문조사와 실험 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 일반 폴리시와 젤 폴리시의 효과성 인식, 안전성 인식, 손톱 손상도 인식 차이에서 모두 젤 폴리시가 높게 나타났다. 실험 전·후 손톱의 수분, 유분, 경피수분손실량(TEWL)은 실험 전보다 모두 감소하였으며, 일반 폴리시에 비해 젤 폴리시의 감소 폭이 높게 나타남을 확인하였다. 또한 손톱의 SEM 표면관찰에서도 젤 폴리시의 손톱 표면 손상도가 매우 크게 나타남을 확인하였다. 이상과 같이 본 연구를 통해 일반 폴리시보다 젤 폴리시가 손톱의 손상도에 많은 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 소비자들의 건강하고 아름다운 손톱관리 및 유지를 위한 기초 자료로 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

As the immigrant population is rapidly growing in South Korea, it is important for the next generation of Korean adolescents to foster unprejudiced attitudes towards immigrants. This paper thus seeks to shed light on adolescent prejudice towards immigrants, by addressing the following three questions: (1) Does a mother's prejudice towards immigrants and parenting style influence their adolescent children's prejudice towards immigrants? (2) Does an adolescent's prejudice towards immigrants influence his/her self-identity? (3) Does an adolescent's prejudice towards immigrants influence his/her coping styles? The sample consisted of 288 pairs of Korean adolescents and their mothers. According to hierarchical regression analyses, a mother's prejudice towards immigrants significantly predicted her adolescent's prejudice towards immigrants, after taking sociodemographic variables into account, whereas her parenting style did not. In addition, having a low level of prejudice towards immigrants among adolescents predicted high levels of self-identity (e.g. independence, proprioceptive, and mission orientation), and a greater use of positive coping skills (e.g. support-seeking and problem-solving). Overall, results showed that mothers played a significant role in shaping their adolescent's prejudice towards immigrants. Results also provided evidence that prejudice towards immigrants may interfere with the healthy development of self-identity and coping style during adolescence. In conclusion, this study suggests that multicultural education for adolescents can be more effective, when it is provided in partnership with a parent education program that is designed to raise parental multicultural awareness.

본 연구는 평소 자신의 업무에 대하여 지각하는 스트레스 지수가 높은 30~40대 직장 여성 50명을 대상으로 미용대체 요법이 스트레스 완화에 미치는 복합적인 영향을 분석하여 급변하는 현대사회에서 여성 직장인들이 받는 스트레스를 완화시켜 건강하고 아름다운 삶을 유지하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다. 미용요법은 향기요법과 건식 이완 마사지를 15분간 시행하였으며, 시행 전 설문을 통하여 스트레스 지수를 확인하였다. 실험은 주1회 4주간 시행되었고 결과 측정은 타액 내 코티졸의 농도로 분석하였다. 그 결과 실험 전 스트레스 지수 평균은 3.97로 높게 나타났으며, 실험 후 대상자들의 코티졸 농도는 유의하게(p<0.05) 낮아졌고 특히, 기혼과 부양책임을 가진 대상자들에게서 더 많은 변화를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 향을 이용한 건식이완 마사지는 스트레스가 심한 30~40대 여성들의 심신 안정에 매우 효과적인 것으로 판단되며 이러한 미용적 방안을 잘 적용한다면 스트레스 관리에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
