xB2O3 -yBi2O3-zPbO-5SiO2계 유리의 전기적인 특성 (A Study on the Physical Properties of xB2O3-yBi2O3-zPbO-5SiO2 Glass System)

  • BB-계열에서 $Bi_2O_3$ 함량이 증가할수록 비저항의 peak는 낮은 온도로 이동하였다. 비저항에 대한 완화현상을 설명하기 위한 등가회로는 G-C의 병열회로이고, 전기전도과정은 체적전도이며, 완화의 형태는 non-Debye 형이었다. 그리고 BB-계열의 전기전도 현상은 일반적으로 s가 거의 일정한 (s=0.8) QMT 모델에 잘 맞는 것으로 판명되었다.

The Effects of Doping Hafnium on Device Characteristics of $SnO_2$ Thin-film Transistors

  • Recently, Thin film transistors (TFTs) with amorphous oxide semiconductors (AOSs) can offer an important aspect for next generation displays with high mobility. Several oxide semiconductor such as ZnO, $SnO_2$ and InGaZnO have been extensively researched. Especially, as a well-known binary metal oxide, tin oxide ($SnO_2$), usually acts as n-type semiconductor with a wide band gap of 3.6eV. Over the past several decades intensive research activities have been conducted on $SnO_2$ in the bulk, thin film and nanostructure forms due to its interesting electrical properties making it a promising material for applications in solar cells, flat panel displays, and light emitting devices. But, its application to the active channel of TFTs have been limited due to the difficulties in controlling the electron density and n-type of operation with depletion mode. In this study, we fabricated staggered bottom-gate structure $SnO_2$-TFTs and patterned channel layer used a shadow mask. Then we compare to the performance intrinsic $SnO_2$-TFTs and doping hafnium $SnO_2$-TFTs. As a result, we suggest that can be control the defect formation of $SnO_2$-TFTs by doping hafnium. The hafnium element into the $SnO_2$ thin-films maybe acts to control the carrier concentration by suppressing carrier generation via oxygen vacancy formation. Furthermore, it can be also control the mobility. And bias stability of $SnO_2$-TFTs is improvement using doping hafnium. Enhancement of device stability was attributed to the reduced defect in channel layer or interface. In order to verify this effect, we employed to measure activation energy that can be explained by the thermal activation process of the subthreshold drain current.

결정성에 따른 TiO2 나노입자의 포토루미네선스 영향 (The Effect of Crystallinity on the Photoluminescence of TiO2 Nanoparticles)

  • 타이타니아 ($TiO_2$)는 독성이 없고 매우 높은 굴절률, 촉매 활성 및 생체 적합성을 지니고 있으며 화학적 안정성이 있고 높은 이방성을 갖는 저렴한 재료로써 다양한 분야에서 각광받고 있는 세라믹 소재이다. 이러한 $TiO_2$를 sol-gel법을 이용하여 나노입자화 하였다. 나노입자 형성중에 pH를 조절하여 $TiO_2$의 결정성을 제어하였다. 합성된 나노입자는 엑스선 회절분석법, 퓨리에 분광기(Fourier transform infrared), 전계방사형 주사전자현미경(field emission scanning electron microscopy)과 포토루미네선스(photoluminescence spectroscopy)를 이용하여 분석하였다. 합성된 $TiO_2$ 나노입자는 5 nm 이하의 크기를 갖는 것을 확인하였다. 나노입자의 결정성이 증가됨에 따라 550 nm 영역의 발광세기가 증가함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과로 $TiO_2$ 나노입자의 결정성 조절을 통한 발광 특성 조절을 기대할 수 있다.

Selective Oxidation of Hydrogen Sulfide to Elemental Sulfur with Fe/MgO Catalysts in a Slurry Reactor

  • The Fe/MgO catalysts with different Fe loadings (1, 4, 6, 15 and 30 wt% Fe) were prepared by a wet impregnation with iron nitrate as precursor. All of the catalysts were characterized by BET surface analyzer, X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The maximum removal capacity of $H_2S$ was obtained with 15 wt% Fe/MgO catalyst which had the highest BET surface area among the measured catalysts. XRD of Fe/MgO catalysts showed that well dispersed Fe particles could be present on Fe/MgO with Fe loadings below 15 wt%. The crystallites of bulk $\alpha$-$Fe_2O_3$ became evident on 30 wt% Fe/MgO, which were confirmed by XRD. TPR profiles showed that the reducibility of Fe/MgO was strongly related to the loaded amounts of Fe on MgO support. Therefore, the highest removal efficiency of $H_2S$ in wet oxidation could be ascribed to a good dispersion and high reducibility of Fe/MgO catalyst. XPS studies indicated that the $H_2S$ oxidation with Fe/MgO could proceed via the redox mechanism ($Fe^{3+}\;{\leftrightarrow}\;Fe^{2+}$).

레이저에 의한 Li$_2$O-A1$_2$O$_3$-SiO$_2$계 유리의 미세가공 및 광학적 특성 (Micromachining & Optical Properties of Li$_2$O-A1$_2$O$_3$-SiO$_2$ Glass System by Laser Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 레이저 처리기술에 의한 $Li_2O-A1_2O_3-SiO_2$계 유리의 미세가공과 레이저에 의한 유리의 광활성반응에 관한 것으로서, 1064 nm와 355 nm의 파장을 갖는 Nd:YAG laser를 유리에 조사하여 유리의 파괴특성 및 광학적변화를 관찰하였다. 1064 nm레이저에 의한 유리의 파괴 부분은 광학현미경과 주사전자현미경 (SEM)으로서 파괴특성을 평가하였으며, 355 nm 레이저에 의한 유리의 변화는 흡수대역은 측정함으로서 그 광학적 특성을 나타내었다. 이와 같은 레이저에 의한 가공은 유리내부의 3차원적인 미세구조물 형성이나, internal waveguide, 또는 광 흡수대역의 변화에 따른 광기록방법으로 응용될 것으로 예상된다.

화학적 증기 증착 방법을 통해 제조한 소수성 폴리디메틸실록산 박막: 수처리로의 응용 (Hydrophobic Polydimethylsiloxane Thin Films Prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition: Application in Water Purification)

  • 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS)은 화학적 증기 증착 방법을 통해 다양한 물질에 5 nm 두께 이하의 박막 형태로 증착될 수 있다. $SiO_2$, $TiO_2$, ZnO, C, Ni 및 NiO와 같은 다양한 종류의 나노입자 표면에도 PDMS 박막은 증기 증착을 통해 고르게 형성될 수 있으며, PDMS가 증착된 표면은 완벽한 소수성을 갖게 된다. 이 소수성 박막은 안정성이 높아 산, 염기 및 자외선 노출 시에도 잘 분해되지 않으며, 또한 PDMS로 코팅된 나노입자는 다양한 환경 분야에 응용될 수 있다. PDMS 코팅된 소수성 $SiO_2$ 입자는 기름/물 혼합액에서 기름과 선택적으로 반응하고, 기름 유출 사고 시 유류 확산을 억제할 수 있으며, 유출된 기름을 물에서 물리적으로 쉽게 분리할 수 있게 해준다. PDMS 코팅된 $TiO_2$를 진공 상태에서 열처리 할 경우 $TiO_2$ 표면은 완전하게 친수성으로 개질되며, 이때 $TiO_2$가 가시광선을 흡수하여 반응할 수 있게 하는 산소 빈자리 또한 발생하게 된다. PDMS 코팅 후 열처리한 $TiO_2$는 아무 처리하지 않은 $TiO_2$에 비해 가시광 하에서 수중의 유기 염료를 분해하는데 더 뛰어난 광촉매 활성을 보인다. 우리는 해당 연구에서 제시하는 간단한 PDMS 박막 코팅 방법이 다양한 환경 과학 및 공학 분야에서 응용될 수 있음을 소개하고자 한다.

스크린라인 관측교통량을 이용한 전수화 O/D 자료의 검증과 수정 (Validation and Correction of Expanded O/D with Link Observed Traffic Volumes at Screenlines)

  • 가구통행실태조사를 통한 O/D 조사는 조사대상인 모집단의 규모가 대규모이므로 현실적으로 전수 조사는 가능하지 않아 일부 표본 자료에 국한하여 조사가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 표본 자료를 전수화하여 모집단의 통행 O/D패턴을 추정할 수밖에 없다. 따라서 표본조사와 전수화 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 오차를 가능한 최소화하기 위해서 관측 교통량과 전수화 자료를 비교 검증하고 수정하는 과정이 절대적으로 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 다수의 스크린라인 선상의 관측 교통량과 표본조사자료를 기반으로 추정된 전수화 O/D 통행을 비교 검증하고 수정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 스크린라인으로 검증이 되지 않는 O/D 쌍에 대해서는 노선배정분석 결과와 관측 링크 교통량을 비교하여 수정하는 방안도 제안하였다. 그리고 우리나라 2004년도 전국 O/D 통행 자료를 활용한 사례연구 분석을 수행하였다.

Properties of $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ with PbO and $BaPbO_3$ additives

  • The melting temperature and critical temperature (Tc) of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox with deferent content impurities of PbO and BaPbO$_3$ were studied. When the PbO was used as addition in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox, although the melting point could be reduced, the superconductivity (the transition wide, ΔTc) became poor. From the XRD pattern of the sintered mixture of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox and PbO it was known that there is a reaction between YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox and PbO, and the product is BaPbO$_3$. In the process of the reaction the superconducting phase of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox was decreased and in the sample BaPbO$_3$became the main phase. Therefore the superconductivity was reduced. BaPbO$_3$was chosen as the impurity for the comparative study. The single phase BaPbO$_3$was synthesized by the simple way from both mixtures of BaPbO$_3$and PbO, BaPbO$_3$and PbO$_2$. Deferent contents of BaPbO$_3$(10%, 20%, 30%) were added in the YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox. By the phase analysis in the XRD patterns it was proved that there were not reactions between YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox and BaPbO$_3$. When BaPbO$_3$was used as impurity in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox the superconductivity was much better than PbO as impurity in YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox But the melting point of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$Ox with BaPbO$_3$could not be found when the temperature was lower than 1000 $^{\circ}C$ in the DTA measurement.

일원오악도 안료에 대한 과학적 분석 (A scientific analysis of pigments for the Ilweoloakdo)

  • From the ancient to these days, there have been used many kinds of pigment which have two types that are inorganic pigment and organic pigment. At the ancient times, natural pigment had been used but the artificially mixed pigment has been used in modern times. By the way, searching for studies has been studied recently, it would be said the ancient pigments such as Danchung, Wall painting and Mural painting are the mainthema. However, studies about the pigments used in modern pictured relics have rarely can be found. Therefore, this analysis of Ilweolokdo would be important at the point of the pigments used in pictures of royal family in modern times and the results can be briefly summarized as below; Firstly, the results of qualitative analysis of the pigments that base or all pigments of picture was detected components of Ca, Fe and As, this results meaning that picture was used filler and basic paint. Secondly, a result of the analysis on the composition elements of the pigments shows that the main components in their composition are ;White - Lead Cyanamide($2PbCO_3$.$Pb(OH)_2$) or Titanium Oxide($TiO_2$)Blue - Ultramarine($2(Na_2O$.$Al_2O_3$ .$2Si_O2$).$Na_2S_2$)Green - Emerald green($C_2H_3A_s3Cu_2O_8$)Gold - Gold(Au), Red-Red Lead($Pb_3O_4$) or Cinnabar(HgS)Black - Carbon(C)Thirdly, X-ray diffraction analysis of crystalline structure for the blue and green pigment peeling off in picture shows that the components of blue pigment is Ultramarine($2(Na_2O$.$Al_2O_3$ .$2Si_O2$).$Na_2S_2$) and green pigment is Emerald green($C_2H_3A_s3Cu_2O_8$). Especially, microcrystalline structure of the green pigment was the shape like a cross section of wood. Consequently, we knew through the analysis of qualitative and microcrystallinestructures seen on the cross section of analyzed pigments layer that the all pigments used in the Ilweoloakdo is possible to use synthetic pigments in modern.

Travelin Solvent Floating Zone법에 의한 LaAlO$_3$ 단결정의 성장 및 특성 (Growth and Characterization of LaAlO$_3$ Single Crystals by the Traveling Solvent Floating Zone Method)

  • LaAlO3 Single crystals used as a substrate for thin film depositions of a high temperature oxide su-perconductor YB2Cu3O7 and applied to microwave frequencies were grown by the Traveling Solvent Flati-ing Zone (TSFZ) method and characterized. For the growth of LaAlO3 single crystals polycrystalline fe-edrods were prepared from powder mixture of La2O3 and Al2O3 with a mole ratio of 1:1 calcined at 110$0^{\circ}C$ for 3h and sintered at 140$0^{\circ}C$ for 4h The growth LaAlO3 crystals was 4-5mm in diameter 30mm in length and dark brown. The growth rate was 2-3mm/h and the rotation speeds were 10rpm for an upper ro-tation and 40 rpm for a lower rotation The growing crystals and the feedrods were counter-rotated. The orientation of the grown single crystals of LaAlO3 was identified to be [111] direction. Dielectric constants were measured to be 30-33 between 100 kHz and 1 MHz in the 30$0^{\circ}C$ to 45$0^{\circ}C$ temperature range and 102 in a range of 100 kHz at the phase transformation temperature of 522$^{\circ}C$ Dielectric losses were calculated to be 1.8$\times$10-4 at the room temperature and 5.7$\times$10-3 at the phase transformation temperature. Lattice con-stants of the grown crystlals were determined to be aR=5.3806 $\AA$ and $\alpha$=60.043$^{\circ}$ by the least square method.
