Optimization of the Suspension Characteristics for a High Speed Electrical Multiple Train on the Stage of Basic Design (기본설계 단계에서 분산형 고속철도차량의 현가요소 최적화)

  • The High speed electrical multiple train having a distributed electrical motor system has just been developing to aim the experimental maximum speed at 400km/h since August, 2007. This project comes in stage of basic design and so, it needs to take some review and analysis the characteristics of suspensions on the view of basic design. The vehicle model for dynamic analysis is made from the concept design model that used for the preliminary design review with Vampire program and it is modeled with three linear secondary dampers and two shear springs separated from the bush elements in previous model. The optimization technique is applied to search the proper range of linear characteristics for the suspension elements to satisfy the stability performance at speed 130m/s (about 460km/h). The results shows there are some optimum points according to the variation of primary and secondary suspension characteristics and it would be useful to make a decision to select the proper suspension elements in the precision design that will be done by the manufacturing company.

  • The existing 2D fashion Design System have a many limitation for application because diagraming piece database construct was weak as the function of design based on diagraming piece was low level. This paper design and construct the basic diagraming piece database to fashion design needed and through develop module of database search and modify, the system can easily manage the diagraming piece data and can create competitive and efficient design.

  • The long-life housing certification system must have been applied more than 1,000 households apartments since 2015. The basic design guideline for the popularization of long-life housing has been developed in 2017, which include the concept of long-life housing and basic principle of design long-life housing. The demonstration project of long-life housing is be currently under construction in Sejong-si. The aim of this study is to find items on design checklist considering construction stage. The main goal is the development of design manual of long-life housing.

  • The outdoor design conditions for the locality are the basic problem in the design of air conditioning system. The ideal solution to the basic problem is to design a building that has a capacity at maximum output just equal to the load which develops the most severe conditions for the locality occur, but in most cases, economics interferes the attainment of the ideal. Studies of weather records show that the most severe conditions do not repeat themselves every year. The weather conditions of principal cities such as Seoul, Inchon, Suwon, Taegu, Chonju, Ulsan, Kwangju, Pusan and Mokpo in Korea have been analyzed to determine the probability of occurrence of certain temperatures according to recent 10 years $(1960\∼1969)$ weather records. The outdoor conditions for winter air conditioning design are shown on Table 2. The outdoor conditions for summer air condioning design are shown on Table 7. Heating degree days are shown on Table 10 and 11.

  • The aerodynamic performance of a cross-flow fan is strongly influenced by the various design factors of a rear-guider and a stabilizer. The design factors considered in this paper are a rear-guider clearance, a stabilizer clearance, and a stabilizer setup angle, respectively. Also, these factors are given to the various diameter ratio between a basic circle and a impeller. The static pressure and the flowrate of a cross-flow fan were measured with a fan-tester. It could be found that the useful design factors with a good aerodynamic performance exist in the certain assembly conditions of an indoor RAC. Therefore, it could be known that a new published patent determining the easy design of an indoor RAC can be applied in a variety of goods.

  • This study has been undertaken as a basic research for automatic pattern design for baseball uniforms manufactured under custom-MTM system, propose building up of a system whereby various partial patterns are combined under an automatic design system and develop a multi-combination type pattern searching algorithm which allows development of a various designs. As a result of this, type classification based on pattern design elements includes side, open, collar, facing and panel type. Design have been divided into coarse classification ranging from level 1 to 7 according to pattern design elements, based on a design distribution chart. Out of 7 such levels, 3 major types determining design which are, more specifically, level 1 sleeve type, level 2 open type and level 3 collar type, have been taken and combined to determine a total of 12 types to be used for design classification codes. Respective name of style and patterns have been coded using alphabet and numerals. Totally, pattern searching algorithm of multi-combination type has been developed whereby combination of patterns belonging to a specific style can be retrieved automatically once that style name is designated on the automatic pattern design system.

  • In this paper, we suggest the basic components of monitoring system for the semiconductor wafer cleaning equipment and a monitoring system model based on these components. Basic component is defined as a mandatory function which consists of communication with the control system, user interface, communication with the remote monitoring system, management of monitoring data and inter-task communication. We have defined the function of each component and the relation among them, and designed each component as a task. To evaluate the validity of the suggested model, we have implemented the basic components using the Visual C++ on Windows NT and applied them to the Monitoring System for the semiconductor wafer cleaning equipment.

  • Recently, the Web 2.0 and RSS techniques have gained enormous attention in the Internet and e-Learning fields. In this paper, we design a RSS system on the Web 2,0 base for e-Learning, and implement the educational RSS information sharing system for back-to-basic curriculum of secondary schools that is called EduRSS. Our EduRSS can create web feed file with RSS format from learning blogs for back-to-basic curriculum, and share it with other users conveniently. In addition, it also provide the recommendation function to improve the reliability of the RSS feed resources.

  • Many kinds of microcontrollers such as 8051, PIC16 and Atmega series are used for the automatic control system, home appliances and communication equipments manufacturing. It is very important to understand the basic operational principles of microcontrollers and their design concepts. There are many kinds of educational microcontroller trainers and also they are designed and assembled very complicatedly. For the students or developers, it is very difficult to catch the basic operation schemes and apply the techniques to the control system. And also it requires much cost and time for the various kinds of trainers purchasing. In this paper, standardization of pins layout and peripheral modules for the general microcontroller usage was introduced and tested with 89C2051, 89C51, PIC16F84, PIC16F877, Atmega8535 and Atmega128, etc. As a result of test, it was found that saving the cost and time using this suggested device was possible. And also it was very effective way to understand microcontroller design and programming techniques.

  • Safety monitoring systems of structures generally resort to detecting possible changes of dynamic system parameters. Sensitivity analysis of these dynamic system parameters may implement these techniques. Conventional structural eigenvalue problems are discussed in the scope of those systems with deterministic parameters. Large and flexible structures, such as suspension bridges, actually possess stochastic material properties and these random properties unavoidably affect the dynamic system parameters. The sensitivity matrix of structural modal parameters to basic design variables has been established in this paper. Moreover, second order statistics of natural frequencies due to the randomness of material properties have been discussed. It is concluded from numerical analysis of a modem suspension bridge that although the second order statistics of frequencies are small relatively to the change of basic design variables, such as density of mass and modulus of elasticity, the sensitivities of modal parameters to these variables at different locations change in magnitude.
