  • This study investigated the effect of bonding temperature and holding time on microstructures and mechanical properties of diffusion bonded joint of Haynes230. The diffusion bonds were performed at the temperature of 950, 1050, and $1150^{\circ}C$ for holding times of 30, 60, 120 and 240 minutes at a pressure of 4MPa under high vacuum condition. The amount of non-bonded area and void observed in the bonded interface decreased with increasing bonding temperature and holding time. Cr-rich precipitates at the linear interface region restrained grain migration at $950^{\circ}C$ and $1050^{\circ}C$. However, the grain migration was observed in spite of short holding time due to the dissolution of precipitates to base metal in the interface region at $1150^{\circ}C$. Three types of the fracture surface were observed after tensile test. The region where the coalesce and migration of grain occurred much showed high fracture load because of base metal fracture whereas the region where those did less due to the precipitates demonstrated low fracture load because of interface fracture. The expected fracture load could be derived with the value of fracture area of base metal ($A_{BF}$) and interface ($A_{IF}$), $Load=201A_{BF}+153A_{IF}$. Based on this equation, strength of base metal and interface fracture were calculated as 201MPa and 153MPa, respectively.

  • In order to generate database, we need to obtain speedy and corret topographic information according to requisite purpose. Generally methods to an acquisition of topographic information are available by the use of maps, satellite images, stereo models of aerophoto and so forth. But we must choose a optimal method in consideration of area of object region, spatial solution of image, required accuracy and economic. Therefore, this study aims at providing the establish method of efficient topographic data base of small object region by means of spatial layer techniques of geo-spatial information system and using acquisition of geo-information and production method of base map with photoballoon system to obtain topographic information for reasonable plan and design of object region which select a zone preparation of a collective village with small region. As a result of this study, we decided an f-stop and a shutter speed of camera to obtain accurate stereo model and were able to obtain stereo photography and topography for small region by using of photoballoon system through accuracy analysis according to change flight height and air base speedly and economically. We can establish the data base useable to efficient plan and design as existence map with overlay plan drawing.

  • A replication initiation gene was identified and its nucleotide sequence has been determined from a 3.8 kb, chloramphenicol acethyltransferase conferring R-plasmid pSBK203 of Staphylococcus aures. Location of the replication related region of pSBK 203 was determined by interuption with pUC 119 at XBaI and MspI sites which resulted in inactivation of replication in Bacilius subtilis. Base sequence of this region revealed on open reading frame of 942 base pairs, which encoded a 314 amino acid protein. Base sequence homology with other rep of pT181 family plasmids such as pT181, pC221, pC223, pS194, pU112, and pCW7 was ranged from 78% to 97% and the predicted amino acid sequence homology was from 72% to 95%.

  • The analytical model for the induced Hall field in the magnetotransistor considering the diffusion of carriers has been proposed and verified by experiment and simulation. Previous models for the induced Hall field in the magnetotransistor do not consider the influence of the diffusion carrier transport. However, the carrier diffusion in the base region of magnetotransistors cannot be neglected and should be considered to evaluated the Hall field in the magnetotransistors accurately. We have measured the Hall voltage in the base region of the fabricated magnetotransistors. The measured values have been compared with the numerical results evaluated from our diffusion model as well as the calculated results from the conventional model. The evaluated Hall voltage from the diffusion model agrees well with the measured values while the sign of the Hall voltage calculated by the conventional model is opposite to that of the measured values in the saturation region. This discrepancy is due to the fact that the diffusion model considers the carrier diffusion while the conventional one does not. The Hall field model including the influence of carrier diffusion may be an important tool to optimize the device structure and to understand the operating principle of the magnetotransistor.

  • Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) is applied to an axisymmetric base flow at supersonic mainstream. DES is a hybrid approach to modeling turbulence that combines the best features of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes RANS) and large-eddy simulation (LES) approaches. In the Reynolds-averaged mode, the model is currently based on either the Spalart-Allmaras (S-A) turbulence model. In the large eddy simulation mode, it is based on the Smagorinski subgrid scale model. Accurate predictions of the base flowfield and base pressure are successfully achieved by using the DES methodology with less computational cost than that of pure LES and monotone integrated large-eddy simulation (MILES) approaches. The DES accurately resolves the physics of unsteady turbulent motions, such as shear layer rollup, large-eddy motions in the downstream region, small-eddy motions inside the recirculating region. Comparison of the results shows that it is necessary to resolve approaching boundary layers and free shear-layer velocity profiles from the base edge correctly for the accurate prediction of base flows. The consideration of an empirical constant CDES for a compressible flow analysis may suggest that the optimal value of empirical constant CDES may be larger in the flows with strong compressibility than in incompressible flows.

  • In this work, a study is presented of the static characteristics of 4H-SiC DMOSFETs obtained by adjustment of the p-base region. The structure of this MOSFET was designed by the use of a device simulator (ATLAS, Silvaco.). The static characteristics of SiC DMOSFETs such as the blocking voltages, threshold voltages, on-resistances, and figures of merit were obtained as a function of variations in p-base doping concentration from $1\;{\times}\;10^{17}\;cm^{-3}$ to $5\;{\times}\;10^{17}\;cm^{-3}$ and doping depth from $0.5\;{\mu}m$ to $1.0\;{\mu}m$. It was found that the doping concentration and the depth of P-base region have a close relation with the blocking and threshold voltages. For that reason, silicon carbide DMOSFET structures with highly intensified blocking voltages with good figures of merit can be achieved by adjustment of the p-base depth and doping concentration.

  • In this paper we analyzed each region of specific points and e-Δephase plane in order to make fuzzy rule base. After we composed the fuzzy control rules which can decrease rise time, delay time, maximum overshoot than basic fuzzy control rules. The composed method are converged more rapidly than single rule base in convergence region. Proposed method is alternately use at specific points of e-Δephase plane with two fuzzy control rules, that is one control rule occruing the steady state error used in transient region and another fuzzy control rule use to decrease the steady state error and rapidly converge at the convergence region. Two fuzzy control rules in the e-Δe phase plane decide the change time according to response characteristics of plants. As the results of simulation through the second order plant and the delay time plan, Proposed dual fuzzy control rules get the good response compare with the basic fuzzy control rule.

  • There have been various studies on measurements of flood risk and forecasting models. For river and dam region, PDF and FVI has been proposed for measurement of flood risk and regression models have been applied for forecasting model. For Bo region unlikely river or dam region, flood risk would unexpectedly increase due to outgoing water to keep water amount under the designated risk level even the drain system could hardly manage the water amount. GFI and general linear model was proposed for flood risk measurement and forecasting model. In this paper, FVI with the consideration of duration on GFI was proposed for flood risk measurement at Bo region. General linear model was applied to the empirical data from Bo region of Nadong river to derive the forecasting model of FVI at three different values of Base High Level, 2m, 2.5m and 3m. The significant predictor variables on the target variable, FVI were as follows: ground water level based on sea level with negative effect, difference between ground altitude of ground water and river level with negative effect, and difference between ground water level and river level after Bo water being filled with positive sign for quantitative variables. And for qualitative variable, effective soil depth and ground soil type were significant for FVI.

  • The microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir welded OFC plates with 2mm in thickness were examined with the changing welding parameters such as welding speed, rotation speed in this study. The sounding welding conditions was acquired at the optimum welding conditions of the 41mm/min to 61mm/min of welding speed at 1250 rpm of rotation speed. The microstructure of weld zone was divided into four parts such as the base metal region (EM), thermal mechanical affected zone (TMAZ), heat affected zone (HAZ), stir zone (SZ). The grain size in the SZ and the width of weld nugget were increased with increasing welding speed. The hardness profiles of the base metal were distributed about 80HV. The HAZ is a slightly softened region of about 60~75 HV relative to the base metal. The hardness profiles of the SZ were higher than that of base metal. The tensile strength was increased with increasing welding speed. In case increasing rotation speed, tensile strength was decreased. The maximum tensile strength was about 220:MPa which was 110% of joint efficience of that of base metal at 41mm/min of welding speed, 1250rpm of rotation speed.
