용동굴레와 각시둥글레의 생장특성과 라메트 개체군의 동태 (Growth Characteristics and Demography of Polygonatum involucratum and Polygonatum humile Ramet Population)

  • Growth hadit and demograph in a mature population of polygonatum and polygonatum humile in kanghwa island were studied for two growing seasons. Shoots of two species emerged early spring from the growing apices of the underdground rhizomes which had persisted for up to 1~5 year.after flowering, the ramets produced two rhizome buds at the shoot base. Bacause of the apical dominance in the rhizome system, a new rhizome was developed from only one bud, an actual bud,and the other latent buds were suppressed sothat remained dormant. The latent dud produced a new rhizome only when the actual dud was severed by the herbivores or by the physical obstacles. Therefore, the ramet number is not increased by the new rhizome from the latent bud. however, new ramets dould sometimes grow from latent buds which had been produced more than a year ago. Production of these ramets was main means increasing the ramet numbew and widening the potential zone of exploitation. Changes in size class of each ramet were noyiceable after a tear in small size-classes. Small ramets replaced themselves with larger-sized ramet, while large ramets with similar-sized or smallar-sized ramets. ramet numbers were average 0.82and 1.14 times of those fromthe previous year inp. involucratum and p. humile, though there was between-site variation. Almost all the ramets in the quadrats were alive during the growing season. when the entire rhizome systems were excavater next spring, there were many rhizomesegments without shoots, especially in p. involucratum. therefore, the drcrease of ramet number in p. involucratum in probably due to the climatic factors of winter.

외상성 횡격막 헤르니아: 3례 수술 보고 (Traumatic Diaphragmatic Hernia: A Report of 3 Cases)

  • Three cases of traumatic diaphragmatic hernia were repaired in this department from June 1967 to Nov.1968. The first case, a 14 year old girl, was diagnosed as diaphragmatic hernia during the operation of the diffuse peritonitis from jejunaI perforation 3 days after the traffic accident at local clinic and she was transfered to this hospital after the closure of the perforated jejunum. Herniated stomach, transverse colon, spleen and left lobe of the liver were repositioned and the diaphragmatic rupture at the posterolateral portion of the left diaphragm was repaired with two layer sutures by transthoracic approach. The second case. a 26 year old man. was diagnosed immediately after the traffic accident at local clinic and transfered to this hospital 24 hours later. Herniated and distended stomach, transverse colon and jejunum were repositioned and the large diaphragmatic rupture, about 9 cm in length, from the posterolateral portion to the base of the pericardium was directly repaired with two layer sutures. The third case, a 26 year old man, who had a history of stab wound at left lower lateral chest two years ago,was admitted with the sudden onset of abdominal pain and vomiting. The diaphragmatic hernia was confirmed with barium enema. The herniated stomach and transverse colon through the defect, about 3.5 cm in diameter, at anterolateral portion of the left diaphragm, were repositioned and the defect was repaired with two layer sutures. All of the cases recovered uneventfully.

CVM에 의한 농촌환경개선사업의 경제적 가치평가 (Estimating the Economic Valuation of Rural Environmental Improvement Using Contingent Valuation Method)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic valuation of rural waste disposal facilities that are one of the rural environmental improvement projects using contingent valuation method(CVM) in Gyongsangbuk-do, Korea. This study surveyed 1,089 households about the WTP(Willing To Pay) of rural waste disposal facilities policy in Gyongsangbuk-do and it was composed with city level and town level. The overall results show that the respondents well accepted the contingent market and would be willing to pay(WTP) a significant amount for the proposed policy program of rural waste disposal facilities. The values estimated for the rural waste disposal facilities are as follows : 1. The maximum WTP was \10,466 in City level and it was \9,104 in town level by per year. 2. The mean WTP was \9,257 in City revel and it was \8,636 in town lever by per year. 3. Total economic benefits for the household amounted to \7,989,046,270 per year. This result can be used to useful base data fir the policy programs of rural waste disposal facilities.

Determinants of Vietnam Government Bond Yield Volatility: A GARCH Approach

  • This empirical research aims to identify the relationship between fiscal and financial macroeconomic fundamentals and the volatility of government bonds' borrowing cost in an emerging country - Vietnam. The study covers the period from July 2006 to December 2019 and it is based on a sample of 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year government bonds, which represent short-term, medium-term and long-term sovereign bonds in Vietnam, respectively. The Generalized AutoRegressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model and its derivatives such as EGARCH and TGARCH are applied on monthly dataset to examine and suggest a significant effect of fiscal and financial determinants of bond yield volatility. The findings of this study indicate that the variation of Vietnam government bond yields is in compliance with the theories of term structure of interest rate. The results also show that a proportion of the variation in the yields on Vietnam government bonds is attributed to the interest rate itself in the previous period, base rate, foreign interest rate, return of the stock market, fiscal deficit, public debt, and current account balance. Our results could be helpful in the macroeconomic policy formulation for policy-makers and in the investment practice for investors regarding the prediction of bond yield volatility.

  • 연골모세포종은 골단에서 기원하는 연골형성 양성 종양이다. 중족골의 기저부는 골단 또는 이차 골화중심을 갖고 있지 않기 때문에 연골모세포종의 발생이 드물다. 저자들은 34세 남자의 다섯번째 중족골의 기저에서 발생한 연골모세포종 1예를 경험하였기에 보고한다. 조직학적 검사에서 파골세포와 닮은 거대세포가 거대세포종과 유사할 정도로 풍부하였으며 연골모양 세포사이 기질이 섞여 관찰되었으나 그 양이 적었다. 그러나 배경의 단핵세포는 연골모세포로의 분화의 증거로서 불규칙하며 만입된 핵을 보였고 면역조직화학 검사에서 S-100 단백에 양성 반응을 보였다.

The first case, a 14-year aid girl, was diagnosed as diaphragmatic hernia during laparotomy because of jejunal perforation 3 days after traffic accident. Herniated stomach, transverse colon, spleen and left lobe of the liver were repositioned and the diaphragmatic rupture on left posterolateral portion was repaired with two layers of nonabsorbable sutures by transthoracic approach. The second case, a 26-year old man,was diagnosed immediately after traffic accident at a local clinic and transferred to this hospital 24 hours later. Herniated stomach, transverse colon and jejunum were repositioned amd diaphragmatic rupture,about 9 cm in length,from the posterolat.edge to the base of pericardium was sutured in two layers. The third case, a 26-year old man who had stab wound on the left lower lateral chest two years ago,was admitted with sudden abdominal pain and vomiting. Upper gastrointestinal series with barium meal revealed diaphragmatic hernia. The herniated stomach and transverse colon through the defect,about 3.5cm in diameter, at anterolateral portion on the left side,were repositioned and repaired with two layers of nonabsorbable sutures. The forth case, a 26-year old man, sustained blunt trauma to the chest by a roller and was transferred to the emergency room complaining of dyspnea 40 minutes after the accident. The diaphragmatic rupture extended from left midaxillary line to contralateral anterior axillary line,about 20cm long, at anterior portion of diaphragm, which was repaired with two layers, of nonabsorbable sutures. The fifth case, a 4-year old girl, had two separate diaphragmatic ruptures on both sides, which were caused by traffic accident. Immediate upper gastrointestinal series after injury showed herniated stomach, colon and spleen into left Chest cavity. Another small rupture with anterior edge of right lobe of the liver in chest cavity was noted. These were repaired with non-absorbable sutures via thoracotomy.

인구변동 추이와 전망 -2000년대를 향한 국가장기발전 구상을 중심으로- (Trend of Population Change and Future Population in Korea - Korean Future in Year 2000; Long Term National Development -)

  • In Principle, the distriction should be understood between projections and forecasts. When the author or user of a projection is willing to describe it as indicating the most likely population at a give date, then he has made a forecast Population change since 1 960 has been reviewed briefly in order to forecast the population of Korea in the year 2,000 which is a leading factor in long term national development plan for which Korea Institute for Population and Health (KIPH) has been participated since 1983. The author of this paper introduced the population forecast prepared for the long term national development plan and an attempt of comparisons with other forecasts such as D.P. Smith's, T. Frejka's, Economic Planning Board's (EPB), UN's and S.B. Lee's was made. Those six forecasts of Korean future population in year 2,000 varried from 48.5 million to 50.0 million due to the base population and assumption of fertility and mortality however the range of total population size is not large enough. Taking four forecasts such as KIPH, EPB, UN, and Lee based on 1980 population census results and latest data of fertility and mortality, KIPH and UN forecast are close in total population size even though there was a slight difference in fertility and mortality assumptions. The smallest size of total population was shown by S.B. Lee (see Table 13) although the difference between KIPH and Lee was approximately one million which is two percent of total population in year 2,000. As a summary of conclusion the author pointed out that one can take anyone of forecasts prepared by different body because size and proportion wise of the Korean population until early I 990s can not be different much and new population projections must be provided by using 1985 population census data and other latest fertility and mortality information coflected by Korea Institute for Population and Health and Economic Planning Board in forth comming year.

대형 목재운송차량 통행에 적합한 토목섬유 활용 임도 노반조성 효과분석 (A Study on Sub-base Composition Effect of Forest Road Using Geosynthetics for Passage of Large Logging Trucks)

  • 본 연구는 본격적인 목재수확시기에 대응하여 대형화되어 가는 목재운송차량의 원활한 통행과 노체 피해 방지를 위해 산림기술경영연구소 관내 연약지반을 대상으로 토목섬유를 활용한 노반 조성 후 시간경과에 따른 노면지지력 변화와 대형 목재운송차량의 통행 횟수 증가에 따른 노면지지력 및 침하량 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 노반 조성구간의 경우 약 1년의 시간경과 후 노면지지력이 양호판정기준인 CBR 15% 이상으로 안정화 되어 가는 것으로 나타났으며, 토목섬유별 처리효과는 큰 차이를 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 노반 조성구간에서 대형 목재운송차량의 통행이 최대 300회 이루어진 이후에는 침하량이 허용기준 50 mm 이하로 안정되고, 노면지지력 또한 CBR 20% 이상으로 향상되는 것으로 나타났으며 노반의 두께별로는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 토목섬유를 활용한 노반을 조성하지 않은 구간에서는 허용기준 이상의 침하와 함께 노면의 지지력은 대형 목재운송차량의 통행이 불가능한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대형목재운송차량의 통행을 위한 연약지반의 노면지지력 보강을 위해서는 토목섬유를 부설하고 노반을 최소 0.2 m 이상 조성하는 것이 필요하다.

서울지역 고등학교 건물의 에너지소비특성에 관한 사례분석 (A Case Study for Energy Consumption Characteristics of High School Facilities in Seoul)

  • In this study, we analyzed five-year(2011~2015) data for D high school in Seoul area to analyze energy consumption characteristics in high school. The results are summarized as follows. (1) In the result of comparison analysis about 2015 energy consumption by usage, based on primary energy, 18% of energy was consumed in cafeteria, and 82% was consumed in main building. In the case of main building, base and constant load excepting hot water supply in restroom took 40%, heating including freeze protection took 20%, hot water supply in restroom took 14%, and cooling took 8% in order. (2) In the 2015 total energy consumption in D high school based on primary energy, heating energy takes 28%. The range and limit of energy savings coming from the reinforcement of insulation and window performance could be estimated. (3) To introduce new & renewable energy system in high school, electricity-based system is suitable than heat-based system because usage of electric energy is larger than that of heat energy in high school. (4) Five-year energy consumption unit according to heating degree-day showed a linearly increasing trend, and the coefficient of determination(R2) was 0.9763, which means high correlation.

GCAM을 이용한 국내 수송부문 모델링 (Modeling Domestic Transportation Sector Using Global Change Assessment Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 통합모형인 GCAM을 활용한 국내수송부문을 모델링에 대해 논의한다. GCAM은 IPCC 5차 보고서 평가에도 활용된, 국제적으로 널리 쓰이는 모형이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이를 국내수송부문에 그대로 적용하는 데 상당한 문제가 있다. 첫째, GCAM의 기준년도(2010년) 수송 서비스수요가 국가통계와 일치하지 않다는 점. 둘째, 수송부문 시뮬레이션 결과가 관련 부문별 서비스수요의 과거추이를 제대로 반영하고 못하고 있다는 점이다. GCAM을 활용한 국내 수송부문 모델링에서 가장 중요하게 영향을 미치는 수송서비스수요 항등식을 상세히 점검함으로써, 기준년도의 서비스수요를 국가통계와 일치시키도록 노력하였다. 또 GCAM의 시뮬레이션 결과가 과거 통계추이를 제대로 반영할 수 있도록 기존모형을 점검, 수정하였다. 점검 및 수정결과, 기존 GCAM의 시뮬레이션 결과와 어떤 부분에서 문제가 있는지, 또 수송부문별 과거 서비스 수요의 추이가 어떻게 제대로 반영되고 있는지를 상세히 보고하였다. 본 연구는 향후 수송부문의 정책, 기술평가 및 온실가스저감 대책 마련 등을 위한 시나리오 분석의 기본분석도구로 유용하게 쓰일 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
