A 1-year-old castrated male Schnauzer dog was presented with heart murmur. Auscultation revealed systolic murmur located at the left heart base (grade 5/6). There were no remarkable findings on thoracic radiographs. Two-dimensional echocardiography revealed subaortic tunnel-like obstruction at the entrance to the left ventricular outflow tract. Anterior mitral valve leaflet appeared to be tethered to septum with minimal motion. Chordae tendineae was abnormally thickened. Color Doppler analysis revealed turbulent flow starting below the aortic valve. Mitral regurgitation was presented during systole. Spectral Doppler recordings revealed high velocity flow through the aorta and mitral regurgitation. Based on echocardiographic examination, the dog was diagnosed with subaortic stenosis concurrent with mitral dysplasia. The patient was medicated with ${\beta}-blocker$ and diuretics. It has been doing well without apparent clinical signs at 2 year after the diagnosis.

The purpose of this study is to find the infiltration of detached houses, for energy consumption analyses. The pressurization and depressurization method is used to determine infiltration. Blower door tests are expressed in terms of ACH 50, which stands for the hourly air change rate at 50 Pa of fan pressure. The ACH 50 of existing Detached Houses ranges from 5 to 50. Air infiltration is related to construction year and accuracy, maintenance conditions, and so on. When estimating the infiltration of random detached houses, the year used can be the base value of the infiltration rate from 0.25 to 2.0 times/h. The maintenance conditions, construction accuracy and repair affect the air infiltration 0 to 0.5 times/h, 0 to 0.3 times/h, 0 to 1 times/h, respectively.
Objective: The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of an 'Ice' project, a topic chosen based on children's interests to discover the improvement of scientific and mathematical abilities, and creativity of four-year-old children. Methods: For this research, 34 four-year-old children from M childcare center were selected. Seventeen children were placed in the experimental group and the remaining 17 children were placed in the comparison group. After the project was completed, to observe the differences between the two groups, the Mann-Whitney U test was conducted. Results: First, the 'Ice' project had an effect on improving children's scientific abilities and its subfactors. Second, the 'Ice' project hadsignificant effects on improving children's algebraic and geometric mathematical skills. Third, excluding the resistance to premature closure among the subfactors of creativity, the 'Ice' project contributed to improve children's creativity and all sub-factors. Conclusion/Implications: The 'Ice' project activities, a subject chosen from the interests of children, led active play participation from children and brought positive effects in immersion of play and activity. Such effects proved to affect children's scientific abilities, mathematical abilities, and creativity, and suggest this research can be used as base line data in follow-up research on various project activities.
The habitat, age and spawning characteristics of the Korean eastern spined loach, Iksookimia yongdokensis, were investigated to obtain baseline data for its ecological characteristics in the Chuksancheon (stream), Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. The difference between the habitats of juveniles (0+) and 1~4 year old loaches was that juveniles mainly inhabited sandy bottoms (substratum particle size $0.6{\pm}1.44\;cm$) with very slow velocities of water current ($2.4{\pm}2.09\;cm/sec$) and low depths ($29.2{\pm}7.57\;cm$), whereas 1~4 year old loaches inhabited pebble and cobble bottoms (substratum particle size 5.5~6.1 cm) with relatively fast velocities of water current (3.8~4.6 cm/sec) and deep depths (50~70 cm). The age groups for I. yongdokensis (female) estimated by the frequency distribution of total length in the spawning season (July) indicated that the 35~64 mm is 1-year old, the 65~94 mm group is 2-year old, the 95~119 mm is 3-year old, and the 120~145 mm is more than 4-year old. The sex ratio (♂/♀) was 0.69, and females were 10~30 mm larger than males. The lamina circularis at the base of the pectoral fins in males, a secondary sexual characteristic, formed at the 13th month after hatching. The spawning season according to the gonadosomatic index (GSI) was June to July with water temperatures of $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$. The average number of eggs was $2,292{\pm}618$, with a diameter of $1.46{\pm}0.02\;mm$ for mature eggs.

Daily measutements of visibility on 09 LST have been made at a rural site in Chong-won, Chong-book since 1991 to find out a possible influence of emissions of anthropogenic pollutants and water vapout in urban and rural environments. Daily visibility data collected over four-year period were compared with the available visibility and air quality data obtainde from other stations. Detailed examinations of our data showed that the frequency of fog occurrence (visibility .leq. 1 km) at a rural site (KNUE) was at least three times higher (77 days per year) than the frequency of fog both in Chong-ju city (19 days) and at the Air Force Base(AFB) in the rural area. We interpret that the higher frequency of fog at KNUE was due to abundant water vapour in the Mieho River (upstream of the Keum River) area. In Chong-ju city, fog usually continued for a relatively long duration, while it dissipated simewhat faster in the rural environment due to higher solar radiation in the countryside area. The number of misty (.leg. 6 km) days (including foggy days) at KNUE were 235 days as compared with 135 days at the AFB and 67 days in Chong-ju city. In turn the number of days with low visibility (less than 6 km) at KNUE was about 64% per year. Since the moisture alone in a calm morning does not produce a visibility impairment, there must had abundant condensation nuclei including anthropogenic air pollutants. Air pollution was examined, for instance, average values of TSP for November and December 1993 were 115 and 116.mu.g/m$^{3}$, respectively. We conclude that the above mentioned environmental conditions with moisture are favourable for the formation of fog and mist in the rural sampling site at KNUE. Additionally, we found at least 10 days of acid fog at KNUE in September 1994 alone. Measured pH values in the acid for water were in the range of 4.36 .sim. 5.01 with the mean value of 4.51 Our observations suggested that strikingly acid fog do occur occasionally even in the rural environment.

This paper offers some long term perspective on what has been happening to some baseball statistics for Korean professional baseball. The data used are league summaries by year over the period 1982-2013. For the baseball statistics, statistically significant positive correlations (p < 0.01) were found for doubles (2B), runs batted in (RBI), bases on balls (BB), strike outs (SO), grounded into double play (GIDP), hit by pitch (HBP), on base percentage (OBP), OPS, earned run average (ERA), wild pitches (WP) and walks plus hits divided by innings pitched (WHIP) increased with year. There was a statistically significant decreasing trend in the correlations for triples (3B), caught stealing (CS), errors (E), completed games (CG), shutouts (SHO) and balks (BK) with year (trend p < 0.01). The ARIMA model of Box-Jenkins is applied to find a model to forecast future baseball measures. Univariate time series results suggest that simple lag-1 models fit some baseball measures quite well. In conclusion, the single most important change in Korean professional baseball is the overall incidence of completed games (CG) downward. Also the decrease of strike outs (SO) is very remarkable.
There have distinctly been no the installation criteria and maintenance management of BIPV systems, although the BIPV market is consistently going on increasing. In addition, consideration of the BIPV generation quantity which has been installed at several diverse places is currently almost behind within region in Korea. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to evaluate the BIPV generation and to be base data of reducing rate depending on regional installation angles using PVpro which was verified by measured data. Various conditions were an angle of inclination and azimuth under six major cities: Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, Jeju-si for the BIPV system generation analysis. As the results, Seoul showed the lowest BIPV generation: 1,054kWh/kWp.year, and Jeju-si have 5percent more generation: 1,108.0kWh/kWp.year than Seoul on horizontal plane. Gwangju and Daejeon turned out to have similar generation of result, and Busan showed the highest generation: 1,193.5kWh/kWp.year, which was increased by over 13percent from Seoul on horizontal plane. Another result, decreasing rate of BIPV generation depending on regional included angle indicate that the best position was located on azimuth: $0^{\circ}$(The south side) following the horizontal position(an angle of inclination: $30^{\circ}$). And the direction on a south vertical position(azimuth: $0^{\circ}$, an angle of inclination: $90^{\circ}$) then turned out reducing rate about 40percent compared with the best one. Therefore, these results would be used to identify the installation angle of the BIPV module as an appropriate position.
Quitline activity in Rajasthan, India is a voluntary activity of Rajasthan Cancer Foundation (RCF) since April 2013. To kick-off, it took the benefit of the State Government- PIRAMAL SWASTHYA (PS)1 collaborative 104 Health Information Helpline that existed already in public-private partnership. It is a reactive quitline that helps callers through the counselors and nursing staff trained specifically through the weekly sessions held by the first author, the RCF resource on quitline. Besides structuring of the scripts for primary intervention and follow-ups after 1 week, 1 month, 6 months and a year, he also monitors calls, advices and coordinates with the supervisors to manage and analyze the data base, and reports to the PS lead at the Jaipur Center on overall performance and to plan strategic communication with the State Government on its outcomes. The quitline has limitations of its informal existence through a voluntary effort of RCF, no specific resource allocation, suboptimal data management, minimal awareness in the masses due to poor IEC (Information, Education and Communication; except its efforts made by RCF in last 1 year through the government-run State TV and City Radio) and staff shortage and its attrition due to lack of plan for career advancement. Despite these challenges in the year 2013, the quit line has registered a quit rate (for complete abstinence) of 19.93% amongst 1525 callers. The quit rate were 58.01% (304/ 524) among the responders at the 3rd follow-up at 18 months (in September 2014)2. In view of an increase in quit rate by 5- 9 times over the prevailing quit rate in the former ever daily users [both smokers and the users of smokeless tobacco (SLT)], efforts are being made by RCF in concurrence with PS to have this cost-effective model established formally with optimal resource allocation in collaboration with willing agencies (the State and Central Governments and the International Quitline Agencies) and its replication in 4 more states where PS is collaborating with the respective state governments similarly (Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Karnataka).
Aim: An epidemiological shift has resulted in increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCD). Unlike other NCDs which are easily and definitely preventable, the knowledge of cancer prevention is still limited at present. Various aetiological factors are difficult to control since those are habit forming. Hence an available remedy remains its secondary and tertiary prevention for which appropriate planning is of paramount importance. Evidence based planning requires careful analysis of data with a view to prioritize various cancers. Keeping in view the fact that the adaptation of smoking free status in Chandigarh city might have a far reaching positive effect on the cancer related morbidity of the people, the following study was undertaken to provide base line data to be used for future comparisons. Methods: The registers maintained in the Department of Radiotherapy were checked and those belonging to the years 1999 to 2009 were utilized to analyze the cancer morbidity in respect to age, sex, and year of presentation to health care facility. Results: A total of 4,600 cancer patients (males=2276, females=2324) demonstrated a gradual increase in the number of cancer cases from 150 in the year 1999 to 783 in the year 2009. The most common cancers amongst males were cancer of gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) and lung (including larynx) constituting 37.3% and 27.1% of the total, respectively. In females these were cancers of breast and cervix representing 33.3% & 17.6% of total cancer cases, respectively, and lung cancer constituted 5.3%. The maximum cases of bone cancer (53.8% of all bone cancers) were observed amongst children aged less than 20 years and lung cancer (48.2% of all lung cancers) among the elderly aged 60-69 years. The residual effect of silicate fertilizer (crushed slag from the steel industry) on rice yield was evaluated through 4-year field experiments. Applications of the silicate fertilizer at rate of 2500 kg/ha to Gangseo sandy loam soil (Fluvaquentic Eutrochrepts) very low in available silica increased the grain yield by 7 to 12% depending on the mesh size of the fertilizer in the first year. The yield in the fourth year showed no residual effect. Seventeen to eighteen months after the application, available silica content of the soil (1N-sodium acetate extractable) decreased down to 130 ppm which is a, base level for the silicate fertilizer application. Decreasing tendency of available silica concentration of the soil with time differed according to the mesh size of the silicate fertilizer applied. In 36 to 48 months after the application, the extractable silica content of the soil converged to 90 to 100 ppm.
