The purposes of this study were to examine and to predict the affecting factors on exercise participation of Rheumatoid arthritis Patients. The subjects were 161 adult out-patients who visited the hospital for rheumatic disease in H-university. Data were composed of self-reported questionnaire. The conceptual model of this study consisted of that personal characters(age, marriage, education, income), situational characters(pain intensity, fatigue, IADL, depression), behavioral characters(formerly exercise behavior, life-style), and cognitive-perceptional characters(perceived health status, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, perceived self-efficacy) affected directly to exercise participation. Logistic regression analysis was applied for testing model of this study. The results were as follows : 1. Personal characters(education), situational characters(pain intensity), behavioral characters(formerly exercise behavior, life-style), and cognitive characters(perceived barrier, perceived self-efficacy) were significant difference between current exercise participants(127subjects) and non-exercise participants(34). 2. Personal characters(income), situational characters(pain intensity), behavioral characters(life-style), and cognitive-perceptional characters(perceived barrier, perceived self-efficacy) were correlated to exercise participation. 3. Formerly exercise behavior, perceived barrier, and perceived self-efficacy were significant predictor of exercise participation. The logistic equation predicted overall 81.94% of this study subjects 161.
The gut is a complex organ that has played an important role in digestion, absorption, endocrine functions, and immunity. The gut mucosal barriers consist of the immunologic barrier and nonimmunologic barrier. During critical illnesses, the gut is susceptible to injury due to the induction of intestinal hyperpermeability. Gut hyperpermeability and barrier dysfunction may lead to systemic inflammatory response syndrome. Additionally, gut microbiota are altered during critical illnesses. The etiology of such microbiome alterations in critical illnesses is multifactorial. The interaction or systemic host defense modulation between distant organs and the gut microbiome is increasingly studied in disease research. No treatment modality exists to significantly enhance the gut epithelial integrity, permeability, or mucus layer in critically ill patients. However, multiple helpful approaches including clinical and preclinical strategies exist. Enteral nutrition is associated with an increased mucosal barrier in animal and human studies. The trophic effects of enteral nutrition might help to maintain the intestinal physiology, prevent atrophy of gut villi, reduce intestinal permeability, and protect against ischemia-reperfusion injury. The microbiome approach such as the use of probiotics, fecal microbial transplantation, and selective decontamination of the digestive tract has been suggested. However, its evidence does not have a high quality. To promote rapid hypertrophy of the small bowel, various factors have been reported, including the epidermal growth factor, membrane permeant inhibitor of myosin light chain kinase, mucus surrogate, pharmacologic vagus nerve agonist, immune-enhancing diet, and glucagon-like peptide-2 as preclinical strategies. However, the evidence remains unclear.

The study was done to identify factors influencing self-care in tuberculosis (here in after TB) patients. Data were collected by questionnaires from 216 TB chemotherapy as outpatients by visiting a "M" TB hospital located in the C city. Measures were self-care, health-belief(susceptibility and severity, benefit, barrier), and family support. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 19.0 version. The subjects' self-care score 3.76 out of 5. There were significant differences in self-care among the subjects due to gender, marital status, family structure with the subjects, average monthly income, smoking status, drinking status and period of taking TB drugs. There were significant correlations among benefit, barrier, family support, and self-care. According to the research, influencing factors on self-care in TB patients included family support, barrier, average monthly income, smoking status, and benefit. Findings from this study can be used as basic data to develop self-care programs for TB patients.
This paper attempts to reveal the relationships between vulnerability, FTA barrier, verification factors and origin performance. According to precedent studies, Our study analysed 104 cases from Korean companies which adopted a rules of origin and then developed a structural equation model. As a result of the model test, this empirical study found that vulnerability have a negatively significant influence on origin verification. Second, there was a positive relationship among origin verification and origin performance. Through the results of this study are the first company in order to enhance competitiveness, improve understanding of the rules of origin, must go to deal jointly with partner companies. Second, to establish a process for the origin of the goods to prove this systematic and should be managed in an orderly fashion. Country of origin verification system of corporate -level internal factors and external factors, separated by a study to assess the level of the enterprise for internal and external is determined that you need.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influencing factors on health behavior among patients with coronary artery disease. Method: The subjects were 95 patients who visited the out-patient department of a university hospital for follow-up. The four health belief concepts (motivation, benefit, barrier, seriousness), general self-efficacy, health behaviors on medication, diet, exercise, stress management, smoking, and drinking were measured. Result: There were significant differences in the health behavior scores of subjects according to family support and the experience of surgical procedure. Subjects were found to have a high degree of compliance in taking medication. However subjects reported the lowest degree of compliance in regular exercise. In the multiple regression analysis, surgical procedure and motivation were significant predictors to explain diet. Motivation and barrier were significant predictors to explain exercise. Self-efficacy, motivation and family support were significant predictors to explain stress management. Family support and seriousness explained 16% of variance in drinking. Also, family support explained 30% of variance in smoking. Conclusion: Since predicting factors on each health behavior indicator were different, then nurses should consider these differences to construct strategy enhancing patient's recovery.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing dementia preventive behavior intention of the elderly people based on the Health Belief Model. Methods: The participants included 113 elderly people who met the eligibility criteria. Demographic variables, variables of the Health Belief Model (perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, cues to action, general health motivation, and self efficacy), dementia fear and behavioral intention of dementia prevention were examined using structured self-report questionnaires. Statistical analysis was performed by stepwise multiple regression using SPSS for Windows version 21. Results: Self efficacy, alcohol drinking, perceived barrier and education level were significant factors, which explained 32% of the variance in dementia preventive behavior intention. Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that a powerful predictor of dementia preventive behavior intention of the elderly was self efficacy. Conclusion: Developing nursing intervention to enhance self efficacy toward improvement of dementia preventive behavior among elderly people would be recommended.
The purpose of this study is to comprehensively examine the facilitators and barriers to social participation of older adults in the society through systematic review of qualitative research. Through PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, data from 2012 to 2022 were collected. The main search keywords were 'elderly', 'older adults', social participation', 'engagement', 'motiv*', 'barrier', 'facilitat*'. 7 articles that satisfy the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis. Facilitators and barriers of older adults' social participation were analyzed. The analyzed factors were assorted into 'personal/ internal factors', 'environmental factors', 'social network factors'. The results of this study emphasize not only logistical factors, but also motivation, desire, social context of older adults' as factors to social participation. To prevent older adults' social isolation, a broad understanding of what promotes and inhibits the participation of the older adults is needed.

The aim of this study was to clarify the barriers of dental treatment for special needs patients felt by dentists and to determine the dentist-related factors contributing to the obstacles in treatment planning and decision making. Questionnaires were distributed and responded by dentists working at five public-based special care clinics in South Korea. Factors divided into three parts (dentist demographics, clinical factors, and educational and administrational factors) were assessed and analyzed for correlations between dentist-related factors and dentist-felt burdens for special care treatment. Fisher's exact test and Chi-square test were used at the level of 0.05. A total of 34 dentists responded to the questionnaires. Almost all dentists had obstacles in the treatment of special needs patients in terms of the patients' lack of cooperation (94.1%), proxy communication with caregivers (94.1%), payment reward system (63.6%), deficient workforce (67.7%), and others. The longer dentists had been practicing for special needs patients, the more they were dissatisfied with the reward system and a longer time was spent for communication with patients and their caregivers (p<0.05). For specialists, more obstacles were experienced in treatment planning due to a deficiency in the clinical information obtained from their patients compared to general practitioners (p<0.05). A total of 82.4% of the respondents approved of mandatory educational programs for special care dentists. There were practitioner-based factors related to the amount of obstacles felt by special care dentists. To overcome the treatment barrier of special needs patients, in-depth education and training are required in special care dentistry.
In general, open trenches or in-filled trenches have been used to isolate transmitting of vibration. Recently alternative methods, in which various materials are used for wall barriers have been proposed and performed in several sites. Although the effects of these methods are verified, resonable and qualitative evaluation methods have not yet been conducted. It may be because many factors, such as the characteristics of vibration sources, ground condition, and parameters of wall barrier are coupled complicatedly. In this study, a series of centrifugal modelings were conducted in order to examine the evaluation method of a vibration wall barrier when point load transmits to the surface. The experiments were performed with different stiffness of wall barriers and different depths of installations. Using the results obtained from tests, effects of those variables on the efficiency of vibration barrier were analyzed. Through this investigation we observed vibration transmission of under ground, and verified the applicability of ball dropping system which was developed in this study.
In general, environment-induced vibration propagates from the center of source to the destination through ground. In fact, the mechanism of wave propagation is highly dependent on the ground conditions, and various methods to protect structures from such a ground vibration have been proposed. The method of wall barrier has been frequently used to cut off ground vibration effectively. However, the capability of wall barrier may be affected by various factors like constituent material of it. Therefore, it is important to figure out appropriate material for the wall barrier. This study is focused on the effect of EPS on the vibration protection. Centrifuge model tests were performed. Two types of models such as a cylindrical and a rectangular wall were used. For the cylindrical type of wall, installation depth was changed, while the length of the wall varied fur the rectangular type to figure out the capability of vibration protection.
