  • Since the introduction of block chain technology, its potential use in financial service area have been increasing, and financial firms are seeking ways to take advantage of the benefits of it. The purpose of this study is to present an approach to prioritize block chain-based services for bank. Toward this, we picked out potential financial services through focus group interview and derived the criteria that can be used in evaluating the priorities of block chain-based banking services in the same way. Then, we propose an analytic hierarchy process model to help decision makers prioritize the banking services while considering multiple criteria of technology issues, governmental regulations in the financial industry, cost, managerial issues, customers' needs, and the business opportunity for the bank. By using the analytic hierarchy process model, we can estimate the weighting coefficients to be assigned to each criteria and determine the order of priority in determining the best block chain-based service for the case study bank. The results show that banking login authentication would be forefront service, followed by money transfer, document notarization, and trade financing service in the order, and the trade financing could be most important service in terms of the business profitability for the bank in the future.

  • Mobile banking is one of the most representative services applied to the mobile technology. However, there are few recent studies about the user acceptance of mobile banking, and prior studies only have been related to the positive effects of the service acceptances such as e-commerce and Internet banking service. The purpose of this research is to grasp the particular risk essentials in mobile banking which customers perceive, and the risk degree of user recognition which affect customer intention to adopt mobile banking through the exploratory research. The perceived risk is segmented into the performance risk, financial risk, time risk, social risk (or psychological risk), and privacy risk based on Cunningham's research (1967) and other recent studies. In the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), we have attempted to determine how different perceived risks have influence on the mobile banking adoption intentions of both the mobile banking users and potential users. The results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence have positive influences on the intention to use mobile banking service while perceived risk has a negative influence on the intention to use and performance expectancy.

  • This study explores e-banking variables that affect client satisfaction in the Saudi Arabian banking industry spanning three dimensions: reliability, security concerns, and efficiency, which were chosen as predictors of customer satisfaction in the e-banking industry. A field survey using a self-administered questionnaire as a data collection instrument was adopted to collect the required data from a convenience sample of 250 participants of Saudi banking customers. The overall fit of the hypothesized model was tested using linear regression to find the rate of the independent factors' impact on the dependent variable. The study's findings revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the three dimensions and customer satisfaction in Saudi e-banking, with the largest impact being that of reliability, followed by efficiency, and finally security concerns. Also, the study found there was a significant difference in reliability which was considered more important for Saudis and there was a significant difference in efficiency, which was considered more important by males. The findings of this study suggest that these three dimensions are instrumental in e-banking customer satisfaction and that banks can gain a competitive edge by providing better services in these dimensions to sustain and develop their performance in the increasingly globalized banking industry.

  • The fusion of Internet technology and applications with wireless communication provides a new business model and promises to extend the possibilities of commerce to what is popularly called mobile commerce, or m-commerce. In mobile Internet banking service through wireless local area network, security is a most important factor to consider. We describe the development of security service for mobile Internet banking on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). Banking Server and Authentication Server were developed to simulate banking business and to support certificate management of authorized clients, respectively. To increase security, we took hybrid approach in implementation: symmetric block encryption and public-key encryption. Hash function and random number generation were exploited to generate a secret key. The data regarding banking service were encrypted with symmetric block encryption, RC4, and the random number sequence was done with public-key encryption. PDAs communicate through IEEE 802.IIb wireless LAN (Local Area Network) to access banking service. Several banking services and graphic user interfaces, which emulatedthe services of real bank, were developed to verity the working of each security service in PDA, the Banking Server, and the Authentication Server.

As such, Internet banking is one of the innovative services that have reshaped the traditional banking activities, particularly in Bangladesh. In line with this, the research is designed to examine the Internet banking adoption based on five variables: perceived usefulness, perceived ease-of-use, trust, social influence, and perceived enjoyment, and the study also explores differences among respondents on these study variables based on gender and academic disciplines. The study has selected university students as study samples as they are the prospective customers to use Internet banking. Sample size in the research is 300, and a well-designed questionnaire was distributed to collect data. SPSS is used for statistical analysis. • Purpose: In the context of the emergence of industry 4.0, using mobile phones as a modern distribution channel to execute financial services is a significant solution for commercial banks' retail services and a gateway to promote financial inclusion and market development. Despite that service quality and customer satisfaction are two diverse notions and closely related to each other in the service sector, there is hardly a research which empirically examines the impacts of each dimensions of mobile banking service quality and customer satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: This study first employs in-depth interview to explore various aspects of mobile banking service quality dimensions, including empathy, responsiveness, tangibility, assurance, and reliability that serves to develop measurement scales and hypothesis development. A quantitative survey is followed to collect data from 265 Vietnamese bank customers to empirically test the conceptual model. Resutls: Our findings indicate that more human-related factors including empathy, assurance, and responsiveness show the strongest impacts on customer satisfaction with mobile banking service while tangibility and reliability, as technical aspects, are less influential factors. Conclusions: Finally, some crucial implications are drawn for the banks to manage consumer behavior in mobile banking.

The quantity and quality of services are advanced by fierce competition in their field. So they are attracting customers based on high confidence in the financial industry. In spite of these developments, the retail bank market currently does not satisfy customers demands and various desires. In this research, the problems with banking services were observed. It was proposed that the banking services apply a franchise business model. First, this proposal will reduce the business expenses by collaborating profits with head office of banks and affiliates. Second, it will offer greater satisfaction to the customers. Through the mutual collaboration with head office of banks and affiliates in this proposal, it is anticipated that banks will reduce their business expenses and improve services for customers by offering convenient and fast banking services.
