  • This study is about the qualitative safety assessment for hydrogen gas filling facilities in Korea operating with one-bank type. The purpose of this safety assessment is about the development of components for design, fabrication, assembly, operability of dispenser and systems of the safety. For the qualitative safety assessment method, the study used FMEA(failure mode & effect analysis) and HAZOP(hazard & operability). This study evaluated the safety through FMEA and HAZOP then by referring to P&ID and PFD of hydrogen dispenser, thereby examining the dangerousness of the equipments, defects of the structure and problems of the operation.

  • The manoeuvring of vessels and hydrodynamic interaction between them and bank wall in restricted waterways have been treated as important factors in channel design and safe piloting in the water areas. This paper examines the interaction forces and moments acting on two vessels running closely in the proximity if bank wall. The object if this paper is to propose a guideline of safe velocity if vessels and distance between them for navigating safely in confined sea areas.

Identification and Prioritization of the Driving Factors of Labor Productivity in the Melli Bank: Iranian Scenario

  • Purpose - Labor productivity is extremely important to the profitability and competitive advantage of organizations that provide services to customers, such as banks. This study investigates the factors driving labor productivity in Iran's Melli Bank. Research design, data, methodology - Five managerial, psychosocial, cultural, and individual factors are identified and their relative importance for labor productivity prioritized using AHP. The required data are then collected through a questionnaire designed for a pairwise comparison of the driving factors of labor productivity and their subcategories. Results - The study outcomes reveal that the managerial and individual factors are the most important. Specifically, the most important factors in increasing labor productivity in the branches of Melli Bank are having a competent supervisor, promotion opportunities, fair working conditions, conscientiousness, the right tools, and a correspondence between skills and work. Conclusions - Implementing AHP using Expert Choice software revealed that, among the driving factors of labor productivity (i.e., managerial, psychosocial, cultural, environmental, and personal), managerial factors were considered the most important by the respondents.

  • In banking industry, as competition of retail finance is intensive, there appeared eCRM which is a kind of marketing strategy, not only screening good customers but also doing one-to-one marketing for improving customer royalty and satisfaction of goods and service of bank. The strategic importance of eCRM is increasing more and more. We studied bank to use the advantage of expert system and eCRM. The expert system is used as a tool to analyze eCRM. In this paper, first, we presented an eCRM system architecture using expert systems in banking business. Secondly, a bank financial goods recommendation system using expert system is designed and developed. Customers will receive the good quality financial services from the expert system and banks also will acquire the good quality customer data from the expert system.

  • Purpose - This paper aims to study the competition that occurs in the Islamic Banking industry and to analyze the variables that affect the total revenue of Islamic Banking in Indonesia. Research Design, Data and Methodology - This study observed 10Islamic banks for the period 2010-2013. The annual data are taken from Direktori Perbankan Indonesia, published by Bank Indonesia, and annual report of the observed banks. In analyzing data, Panzar Rosse Approach was applied to analyze the type of Islamic Bank Market and Panel Regression Model for the estimated co-efficients has been used in the Panzar Rosse Approach. Results - Estimation model shows that all the banking cost elements such as the price of capital, unit price of labor, and unit prices of funds have significant positive correlation to Revenue as a dependent variable. The estimated value of H-statistic for the period 2010-2013 is 0.69. It can be interpreted that Islamic banking market in Indonesia shows monopolistic competition. Price of capital and funds has statistically significant effect on Bank's Revenue. Conclusions - The study revealed that the Islamic banking market competition in Indonesia is monopolistic and the major contribution to the H-statistic comes from mainly price of funds.

  • The statistical analysis system is necessary to predict the resistance and powering performance quickly and precisely at the initial design stage. The authors propose the several functions of the performance prediction program and the structures of data bank. The program includes several series charts, regression coefficients and adapted regression analysis method based on the data bank to predict the resistance and propulsive coefficients. The calculation procedure to find out the principal dimensions and open-water efficiency of the optimum propeller is also included. The evaluation for the program and data bank is conducted by the arbitrarily selected 14 ship models. The results show good agreement with experiments within 5% mean prediction error.

Moderating Effect of Individualism/Collectivism on the Association between Service Quality, Corporate Reputation, Perceived Value and Consumer Behavioural Intention

  • Purpose - The paper aims at testing the moderating effect of individualism dimension of culture on consumer behavioural intention about bank services in Nigeria. Research design, data, and methodology - A survey was conducted with a sample of five hundred and fifty five bank customers drawn from various retails banks. Using Statistical Package for Social Sciences and Analysis of Moment Structure, combinations of descriptive and inferential statistics were performed. Invariance test and multiple-group analysis were conducted in order to assess the moderating effect. The invariance test was necessary to confirm the equivalence of constructs so that any difference detected thereafter could be related to moderating effect. Results - The results show that individualism has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between technical quality, perceived value and corporate image on the one hand, and behavioural intention on the other. However, individualism does not moderate the association between functional quality and behavioral intention. Conclusions - It is recommended that the bank policy makers should take necessary step to enhance the customer perception of technical quality, perceived value and corporate image with respect the retail bank services.

  • This study aimed to design a strategy in encouraging the loyalty level of priority customers of Sharia banks in Indonesia. The strategy was outlined in a series of alternative applicative programs priority. The use of ANP intended to simplify the existing problems so that the offered solution was easier to apply. Each item was scored on a 5-point Likert scale. The expected outcome was to give priority scales to the offered solutions. The findings of this study are service quality, brand image, bank image which could build customer loyalty in Sharia banks. Priority customer gathering could strengthen the bonds between customers and also between customers and their banks. The excellence of Sharia banks in terms of service quality, brand image, and bank image, when combined with priority customer gathering activities, would become a powerful formula in increasing priority customer loyalty to banks that lead to increased revenue from banks. Originality of this research was the formulation process of a new approach in search of ways to increase the customer loyalty, as well as giving concrete proposals for the banking world in designing customer loyalty improvement programs. An Analysis of Service Robot Quality Attributes through the Kano Model and Decision Tree : Financial Service Robot for Introduction to Bank Branches (카노와 의사결정나무를 활용한 금융서비스 로봇의 품질속성 분석 : 은행지점 도입용 금융서비스 로봇 사례)

  • A Kano model was used to classify the quality attributes of the service robot function for actual deployment that can support and replace bank employees. Quality attributes for a total of 6 dimensions and 23 service elements were divided into bank employees and customer groups, and service priorities were derived after comparative analysis. The Decision tree model was used to supplement the excessive simplification of quality attributes by the modest number of Kano models and to classify and predict by segment market. Of the 23 services, 16 were classified into the same attributes in both groups. 6 services classified as combination attributes used a Decision tree to identify differences in perception of quality attributes among groups. In terms of basic financial services and professional financial services, it was confirmed that bank employees feel financial service robots more attractive than ordinary customers. In the design of IT convergence service, we propose a methodology for deriving quality attributes by combining a Kano model for classifying quality attributes of two groups and a Decision tree for forecasting subdivision markets.
