The Effect of Choice Attributes of Internet primary bank on Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention

  • In recent years, interest in internet primary bank has increased in South Korea, and marketing strategies for the success of the bank are needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of bank choice attributes on satisfaction and behavioral intention of Internet primary bank users. A convenience sampling was used and a structural equation of AMOS 20.0 was used for hypothesis testing. The results of the study are as follows. First, information, transaction, and communication of the choice attributes have positive effects on satisfaction. Second, information, transaction, and communication of the choice attributes have positive effects on behavioral intention. Third, satisfaction has a positive effect on behavioral intention. The theoretical and practical implications and limitations of the research are presented in the conclusion.

인터넷전문은행의 가입 영향 요인에 관한 연구 : 케이뱅크은행 사례를 중심으로 (A Research on the Factors Influencing the Participation of Internet-Only Banks : Focusing on the Case of K Bank)

  • This research analyzes the factors that affect the consumers' participation of the internet-only banks, and suggests effective financial sales strategies and methods to attract more users. Through prior research review and interviews with experts, the factors affecting the consumers to sign up for the internet banks are identified. The actual user data from the internet banks are used for the analysis, providing more systematic and credible results. The research shows that social media buzz positively affects the user growth, proving Granger Causality relation of increasing social media buzz on K Bank increases K Bank users. The research also shows that marketing activities noticeably impacts K Bank's positive user growth. On the other hand, the event of Kakao Bank's grand opening shows negative effect. The results from the research validates the need for periodical monitoring process of social media buzz. Moreover, the research proves that the integrated analysis of social media buzz and marketing effect is also essential.

  • 본 연구에서는 은행의 경영컨설팅과 수진기업의 경영성과 및 은행기여도를 분석함으로써 은행과 고객기업의 상생을 위한 방안으로써 경영컨설팅의 중요성 및 문제점을 제시하여, 은행컨설팅의 발전방향에 대한 이론적 기초를 제공하고자 하였다. 은행 컨설팅의 효과로는 수진기업의 경영성과와 은행기여도를 이용하였다. 분석결과 은행의 경영컨설팅 이후 은행과 수진기업의 상호 의존성이 증가하였으나, 수진기업의 수익성 등 경영성과에 일관적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였으며, 미수진기업과 비교하였을 때 성과가 유의하게 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 지금까지의 은행 컨설팅이 은행과 여신 자산인 대출기업의 정보비대칭을 감소시키는데 기여하였으나, 실질적인 경영성과의 개선을 위하여 장기적인 관점에서의 계획과 노력이 필요함을 암시한다.

Numerical analysis for hydrodynamic interaction effects between vessel and semi-circle bank wall

  • The hydrodynamic interaction forces and moments induced by the vicinity of bank on a passing vessel are known as wall effects. In this paper, the characteristics of interaction acting on a passing vessel in the proximity of a semi-circle bank wall are described and illustrated, and the effects of ship velocity, water depth and the lateral distance between vessel and semi-circle bank wall are discussed. For spacing between ship and semi-circle bank wall (SP) less than about 0.2 L and depth to ship's draft ratio (h/d) less than around 2.0, the ship-bank interaction effects increase steeply as h/d decreases. However, for spacing between ship and semi-circle bank wall (SP) more than about 0.3 L, the ship-bank interaction effects increase slowly as h/d decreases, regardless of the water depth. Also, for spacing between ship and semi-circle bank wall (SP) less than about 0.2 L, the hydrodynamic interaction effects acting on large vessel increase largely as ship velocity increases. In the meantime, for spacing between ship and semi-circle bank wall ($S_P$) more than 0.3 L, the interaction effects increase slowly as ship velocity increases.

Numerical study of hydrodynamic interaction on a vessel in restricted waterways

  • The hydrodynamic interaction between ship and bank can't be neglected when a vessel is app- roached toward the tip of a wedge-shaped bank in restricted waterways, such as in a harbor, near some fixed obstacles, or in a narrow channel. In this paper, the characteristic features of the hydrodynamic interaction acting on a slowly moving vessel in the proximity of a wedge-shaped bank are described and illustrated, and the effects of water depth and the spacing between ship and wedge-shaped bank are summarized and discussed based on the slender body theory. From the theoretical results, it indicated that the hydrodynamic interactions decrease as wedge-shaped bank of angle ${\beta}$ in-creases. For water depth to draft ratio less than about 2.0, the hydrodynamic interactions between ship and bank in-crease sharply as h/d decreases, regardless of the wedge-shaped bank of angle ${\beta}$. Also, for lateral separation more than about 0.2L between ship and wedge-shaped bank, it can be concluded that the bank effects decrease largely as the separation increases.

은행 대출이 주택가격에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Bank Loans on Housing Prices in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 은행 대출이 주택가격에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 은행 대출을 은행 총대출금, 가계대출금, 부동산담보대출금으로 구분하였고, 주택가격을 전국, 지방, 서울 주택가격으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 주요한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 은행 총대출금의 증가는 전국, 지방, 서울 주택가격을 유의하게 상승시키는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가계대출금은 지방 주택가격에 양(+)의 영향을 미치지만 통계적으로 유의하지는 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 은행 대출이 지방 주택가격에 미치는 영향은 전국 주택가격에 미치는 영향에 비해서는 상대적으로 작은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 은행 대출이 지방 주택가격과 서울 주택가격에 미치는 영향은 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 인플레이션과 은행 총대출은 1분기의 시차를 가지고 지방 주택가격에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 단기금리는 1분기의 시차를 가지고 서울 주택가격에 유의한 음(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 전체적으로는 은행 대출이 주택가격에 미치는 영향이 지방보다는 서울에 약 2배 정도 더 큰 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Expiration-Day Effects on Index Futures: Evidence from Indian Market

  • Nifty Bank Index has started trading in futures and options (F&O) segment from 13th June 2005 in National Stock Exchange. The purpose of the study is to enhance the literature by examining expiration effect on the price volatility and price reversal of Underlying Index in India. Historical data used for the current study primarily comprise of daily close prices of Nifty Bank which is the only equity sectoral index in India which is traded in derivatives market and its Future contract value is derived from the underlying CNX Bank Index during the period 1st January 2010 till 31st March 2020. To check stationarity of the data, Augmented Dicky Fuller test was used. The study employed ARMA- EGARCH model for analysing the data. The empirical results revealed that there is no effect on the mean returns of underlying Index and EGARCH (1,1) model furthermore shows there is existence of leverage effect in the Bank Index i.e., negative shocks causes more fluctuations in the Index than positive news of similar magnitude. The outcome of the study specifies that there is no effect on volatility on the underlying sectoral index due to expiration days and also observed no price reversal effect once the expiration days are over.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate communication and service quality on loyalty mediating satisfaction. The population of this study is 384 Islamic bank customers in North Sumatra. This research is quantitative research using the survey method. The number of research samples was 384 customers. Characteristics of this research sample were (1) Savings customers who actively carried out transactions in Islamic banks (2) Savings customers who had used bank services for at least 1 year (3) Savings customers who used services directly and individually. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS) analysis technique, using Warp-PLS 3.0 software. This study investigates the largest Islamic banks in North Sumatra, namely Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank BNI Syariah, and Bank BRI Syariah. The results show that company communication has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction, service quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction, company communication has a positive and significant effect on loyalty, service quality has a positive and significant effect on loyalty, satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on loyalty. There is also a significant effect of satisfaction on the relationship between company communication and loyalty, and the relationship between service quality and loyalty. This study contributes to Islamic banking to increase customer loyalty.

한·중은행의 상호진출이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Bilateral Expansion of Korean & Chinese Banks on Bank Performance)

  • This paper studies the influence of the bilateral expansion of Korean and Chinese banks on performance. To conduct the empirical analysis, we select eleven Banks in South Korea and thirteen Banks in China over the 2000-2014 time frame. The main regression results are as followed. First, the sample bank's overseas subsidiaries have a significant effect on profitability and the profitability is somewhat deteriorates. Second, the sample bank's overseas branch and subsidiaries have a significant effect on the bank's risk. That is, the loan loss provision ratio is slightly increased but impaired loan ratio is highly decreased. Third, the sample banks' overseas branch and subsidiaries also have a significant effect on bank efficiency. The ratio of customer deposits per employee worsens somewhat but the gross loan per employee are increased. In conclusion, as time passes, bank profitability or efficiency from mutual expansion of Korean banks and Chinese banks seem to be improving somewhat, and this phenomenon is more prominent at Korean banks than at Chinese banks.

천수 및 수로 운항 시 선박의 측벽효과 (Bank Effect of a Ship Operating in a Shallow Water and Channel)

  • 선박이 천수 및 수로를 운항하는 경우, 바닥과 측벽의 영향으로 인해 선체침하 및 비대칭적인 힘이 선체 주위에 발생하여 바닥이나 다른 선박 혹은 수로의 벽에 충돌하는 현상이 발생한다. 특히, 수로가 많은 유럽이나 북미를 운항하는 해운회사와 항해사들은 선박의 충돌을 방지하기 위해서 중요한 문제로 다루고 있다. 본 연구에서는 선박의 안전한 항해를 위해 수치해석을 이용하여 선박과 수로의 벽 사이에 발생하는 유체역학적 힘인 횡력(Sway Force)과 선회 모멘트(Yaw Moment)를 정성적으로 추정하고자 하였다. 천수와 측벽효과(Bank Effect)를 해석할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 크기가 다른 원유 운반선 2척에 대하여 선속, 수심 그리고 선박과 측벽 사이 거리의 변화에 따른 다양한 해석을 수행하였다. 계산된 결과는 시험 결과 및 기 발표된 수치해석 결과와 비교하였다.
