This paper proposes three positioning algorithms using TOA measurements: 1) The well-known linearization method using Taylor series, 2) a modified Savarese method considering measurement noise, which does not need linearization, and 3) a modified Bancroft method where TOA measurements instead of pseudorange measurements are considered. Furthermore, through an error analysis, for Savarese method, divergence of altitude is anticipated if the transmitters are located at the same height. To prevent height divergence, the Savarese method is modified again for receivers which assumed moving on the even plane. Error analysis also shows the relationship between Bancroft and Savarese method. From the analysis it is expected that the performance of Savarese method is worse than Bancroft method because of error amplification during difference operation. Experiments using real TOA measurement from the time difference of ultra sound and RF validate the proposed methods and show that analysis is correct.
Sphene from the McDonald pegmatite near Bancroft, Ontario, Canada was analyzed using EPMA. It contains 4.3 to 6.3 weight percent of Nb2O5 with an average formula Ca1.02(Ti0.62Al0.22Nb0.07Fe0.06Ta0.01)Si0.99(O4.85F0.16). Three types of subtitutions are possible; 1)2Ti4+=(Nb, Ta)5+ + (Al, Fe3+), 2) Ti + O = (Al, Fe3+) + (F, OH), and 3) 2Ti + O = Fe2+ + (Nb, Ta)5+ + (F, OH). T재 different schemes of substitutions for balancing the analysis are considered when the iron is either all ferric or all ferrous. Assuming stoichiometry fo Ca and Si, a general formula derived from the two different schemes is Ca(Ti0.64Al0.22Fe3+0.06-X {{{{Fe_{x}^{2+} }} Nb0.01)Sio4.80-XF0.16(OH)0.04+x.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between water absorption (or hygroscopic property) and growth rate of rubra oak (Quercus rubra) from 5 different origins of seed (Carleton, Simcoe, Chatham, Bancroft, Unknown). Water absorption at cross section of Quercus rubra was $0.43{\sim}0.92g/cm^2$ and the property was not related with growth rate. Overall equilibrium moisture content of rubra oak were 11.35~11.56% and 15.15~15.83% at $40^{\circ}C$ with 75% and 90% relative humidities, respectively. There was no relationship between growth rate and moisture content(hygroscopy) in rubra oak. Based on the results, Rubra oak can be classified as a low hygroscopic wood grade, and thus might be a good raw material for furniture productions owing to its superior dimensional stability.
Sexual behavior is crucial in life, yet comparatively little is known about the mechanisms in the sexual response in humans. A lot of theories and models have been developed to explain about the process of the sexual response in humans. The first model of sexual function was described by Masters and Johnson, defined the four-phase model (phases of excitation, plateau, orgasm and resolution). Helen Kaplan proposed a slightly different model of human sexual response by adding the conception of the desire phase. Some years later, a new model of circular sexual response pattern was described by Whipple and Brash-McGreer, who acknowledged the cyclic nature of women's sexual response. Basson presented an alternative model of women's normative sexual function, which featured a responsive form of desire in women's sexual response. Bancroft developed a new theoretical model, the Dual Control Model, which postulates sexual response and arousal is ultimately determined by the balance between the sexual activation or excitation system and the sexual inhibition system. The Sexual Tipping Point is a model created by Perelman, suggesting that a sexual response is determined by a balance between excitatory or inhibitory factors that may be psychological, organic, psychosocial, or cultural. A comprehensive understanding of sexual response and function is of paramount importance for the psychiatrist to study sex, offer counseling to the patient on sex, and practice sex therapy. In this literature, models of sexual response would be reviewed to understand the knowledge of the sexual functioning in humans.
The new experimental data of liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) of aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) consisting of poly(ethylene glycol) 3000 + tri-potassium citrate at different pH were presented. It was found that an increase in pH resulted in the expansion of the two-phase region. The TLL and STL increased with increasing the pH values. The Merchuk equation can be appropriately employed to correlate the binodal curves and also the tie-line compositions were adjusted to both the Othmer-Tobias and Bancroft equations. In order to calculate the compositions of the phase and the ends of the tie-lines, density and refractive indices as two physical properties were used. Finally, the extended UNIQUAC, UNIFAC, Virial-(Mobalegholeslam & Bakhshi) and modified UNIQUAC-FV were used to measure the phase equilibria at different pH. The results of the models suggested that it can be used quite well to correlate the LLE in an aqueous solution of polymer-salt.
This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between anatomical characteristics and growth rate of Quercus rubra from different origins of seed. Anatomical characteristics showed that all Quercus rubra species were ring-porous woods with 1~3 layers of large pores in earlywood, but the latewood had small pores oriented in radial direction. There were slight differences in libriform fiber length and vessel element diameter in the earlywood among different provenance origins of seeds. In growth rate, the libriform fiber length and vessel element diameter was negative correlation in the earlywood, but not correlative in the latewood, and vessel element length was not correlative in the early and latewood, Volumetric composition of libriform fiber and ray in latewood was higher than those in ear lywood, and a higher composition of vessel element was observed in earlywood. Ray height was the range of from 11 to 15 cells.

Brassica rapa ssp. pekinensis (Chinese cabbage) is an economically important crop and a model plant for studies on polyploidization and phenotypic evolution. To gain an insight into the structure of the B. rapa genome we analyzed 12,017 BAC-end sequences for the presence of transposable elements (TEs), SSRs, centromeric satellite repeats and genes, and similarity to the closely related genome of Arabidopsis thaliana. TEs were estimated to occupy 14% of the genome, with 12.3% of the genome represented by retrotransposons. It was estimated that the B. rapa genome contains 43,000 genes, 1.6 times greater than the genome of A. thaliana. A number of centromeric satellite sequences, representing variations of a 176-bp consensus sequence, were identified. This sequence has undergone rapid evolution within the B. rapa genome and has diverged among the related species of Brassicaceae. A study of SSRs demonstrated a non-random distribution with a greater abundance within predicted intergenic regions. Our results provide an initial characterization of the genome of B. rapa and provide the basis for detailed analysis through whole-genome sequencing.
Subunit vaccines are safer and more stable than live vaccines although they have the disadvantage of eliciting poor immune response. To develop a subunit vaccine, an effective delivery system targeting the key elements of the protective immune response is a prerequisite. In this study, oxidized carbon nanospheres (OCNs) were used as a subunit vaccine delivery system and tuberculosis (TB) was chosen as a model disease. TB is among the deadliest infectious diseases worldwide and an effective vaccine is urgently needed. The ability of OCNs to deliver recombinant Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) proteins, Ag85B and HspX, into bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDMs) and dendritic cells (BMDCs) was investigated. For immunization, OCNs were mixed with the two TB antigens as well as the adjuvant monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL). The protective efficacy was analyzed in vaccinated mice by aerosol Mtb challenge with a virulent strain of Mtb and the bacterial burdens were measured. The results showed that OCNs are highly effective in delivering Mtb proteins into the cytosol of BMDMs and BMDCs. Upon immunization, this vaccine formula induced robust Th1 immune response characterized by cytokine profiles from restimulated splenocytes and specific antibody titer. More importantly, enhanced cytotoxic $CD8^+$ T cell activation was observed. However, it did not reduce the bacteria burden in the lung and spleen from the aerosol Mtb challenge. Taken together, OCNs are highly effective in delivering subunit protein vaccine and induce robust Th1 and $CD8^+$ T cell response. This vaccine delivery system is suitable for application in settings where cell-mediated immune response is needed.
Relationship between growth rate and wood quality was investigated by physical and mechanical properties with Quercus rubra (24 years old) from five different origin of apricot. In greenwood moisture content, sapwood had higher moisture content than heartwood, and there was difference among different origin of apricot. There were different specific gravity of wood among different origin of apricot. Compared with higher growth rate with higher specific gravity in sapwood, opposite trend was observed in heartwood. There were difference in shrinkage based on origin of apricot, and higher growth rate wood had higher shrinkage and T/R ratio. Compression Young's modulus, bending strength, bending Young's modulus, and compact strength was difference among different origin of apricot. Higher growth rate wood had higher tensile strength, and also there was difference amont different origin of apricot. In hardness, 3 different directions had all difference among different origin of apricot, and higher growth rate wood showed higher hardness than others. Based on overall physical and/or mechanical properties and growth rate, apricot from Bancroft was best quality in current.
