밀폐용기와 지퍼백에 저장한 잣(Pinus koraiensis)의 품질변화 연구 (Quality Changes of Pine Nuts(Pinus koraiensis) Stored in Airtight Container and Zipper Bag)

  • The effects of airtight containers and zipper bags on the freshness extension of pine nuts (Pinus koraiensis) were studied at 4 and $25^{\circ}C$. Changes in total microbial growth, 2-thiobarbituric acid(TBA), color, and sensory quality were evaluated during storage. Total bacterial counts of the samples continuously increased over 28 days for airtight containers and 56 days for zipper bags, and then decreased at 70 days because the lack of air could affect the inhibition of the aerobic microbial growth. However no significant differences were observed between airtight containers and zipper bags. TBA values continuously increased with storage time, but there were no significant differences between the airtight containers and zipper bags during storage. Color changes and sensory evaluation analyses showed that the data revealed similar results for both packaging systems over the storage time. Therefore, it has been concluded that airtight containers and zipper bags could be used as a good packaging system to extend the shelf life of pine nuts by controlling the microbial growth, but the packaging systems of the airtight containers and the zipper bags was not significantly affect the quality parameters for 2-thiobarbituric acid(TBA), color, and sensory quality.

도수 소생기와 풍선을 이용한 공기 누적이 폐 기능에 미치는 즉각적인 효과 비교 (A Comparison of Acute Effect of Air Stacking Using Resuscitator Bag versus Balloon on Pulmonary Functions)

  • Purpose : To compare the immediate effects of air stacking maneuver using resuscitator bags and balloons. Methods : Twenty healthy young adults participated in this study. Forced vital capacity (FVC) and peak cough flow (PCF) tests were performed at pre-intervention, and then, the maximum insufflation capacity (MIC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), FEV1/FVC, peak expiratory flow (PEF), and peak cough flow (PCF) were measured using the air stacking maneuver via resuscitator bags and balloons. Interventions were randomly performed, and a 40-min break was provided between interventions. The evaluation process in this study was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) 2019. To compare the three outcomes measured at pre-and post-interventions, repeated measures analysis of variance was performed. Results : A significant difference was found in the MIC, FEV1, PEF, and PCF after the air stacking maneuver using resuscitator bags and balloons, whereas no significant difference was observed between resuscitator bags and balloons. Conclusion : No significant difference was found in the immediate effect of the air stacking maneuver using resuscitator bags and balloons in this study. Air stacking maneuver using balloons can increase the success rate of the techniques by providing visual feedback on the amount of air insufflation when performed with balloon blowing exercise. Balloons are cheaper and easier to buy compared to manual resuscitator bags; therefore, education on the air stacking maneuver using balloons will have a positive effect on pulmonary rehabilitation.

국내 가정간호 방문차량과 방문가방 관리 현황 분석 (Analysis of the Management of Home Health Care Visiting Vehicles and Nurse bags in Korea)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study examined the management status of the home health care visiting vehicles and the nurse bags, by the home health care center of hospitals (at the hospital level or higher) in Korea, and identified the relevant factors. Methods: Of 120 managers or home health care nurses from medical institutions at hospital level or higher that provide home nursing, 93 individuals participated in the study in July 2021. Results: Hospitals that followed standard guidelines were more likely to perform internal disinfection of home health care visiting vehicles, and distinguished between clean and contaminated areas inside the visiting vehicles. Further, hospitals that followed standard guidelines were more likely to use more barrier surfaces to protect the surfaces of nurse bags to prevent infection. In addition, hospitals supporting the washing cost of the interior of home health care visiting vehicles were more likely to conduct the washing, and hospitals supporting nurse bags were more likely to use barrier surfaces to protect the bags' surfaces. Conclusion: This study only investigated home health care centers at hospital level or higher. Therefore, to generalize the results of the study, it is necessary to conduct a qualitative study involving additional investigation of home health care visiting vehicles and nurse bags and interviews with nurses from all domestic home health care centers.

봉지종류 및 제거시기가 참외의 당도 및 색도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Bagging Material and Removal Time on Soluble Solid and Fruit Color of Oriental Melon(Cucumis melo L. var makuwa Makino))

  • 참외를 껍질째 먹기 위하여 착과 5일후부터 과실에 배, 사과, 포도봉지를 씌워 재배한 결과, 봉지내의 온도는 외기온에 비하여 주간에는 낮고 야간에는 높았으며 습도는 주간에는 높고 야간에는 낮았다. 무처리구에 비하여 봉지재배로 과장은 짧고 과폭은 좁고 과육두께는 얇고 과중은 가벼운 경향이었으나 처리간 차이는 없었다. 과육 및 태좌부의 당도는 봉지재배 처리구에서 낮은 경향이었으나 처리간 차이는 없었다. 그러나 과실의 당도는 봉지제거 직후 보다는 봉지제거 5일후 조사에서 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 봉지재배로 과피의 경도 및 색도가 낮았다. 이와 같이 봉지재배로 과피의 경도가 낮아 껍질째 먹기는 쉬워졌으나 과피의 색도 및 당도가 낮아 금후 보완이 필요한 것으로 생각된다.

  • 산림토양내(山林土壤內) N 양료화(養料化)와 질산화(窒酸化)를 구명(究明)하기 위하여 최근(最近) 많이 사용하고 있는 ion 교환 (交換) 수지(樹脂) (Ion Exchange Resin : IER)의 방법(方法)을 구명(究明)하고 실험실(實驗室)과 토양(土壤)에 묻었던 IER의 재사용(再使用) 여부를 판단(判斷)하기 위하여 흡수율(吸收率)을 분석(分析)하였다. IER 20g을 나이론 스타킹에 넣고 무처리구, 2M NaCl에 진탕한 후 물에 씻은 처리구(處理區)(2M NaCl구(區), 4M NaCl에 진탕한 처리구(處理區)로서 N 흡수율(吸收率)을 분석(分析)한 결과(結果) 2M NaCl구(區)의 IER은 $NH_4$$NO_3$를 각각(各各) 70, 60% 흡수(吸收)하여 가장 높은 결과를 보였고 4M NaCl구(區)는 40%정도의 흡수율(吸收率)을 나타냈다. 무처리(無處理) IER은 $NO_3$ 흡수율에서 2M NaCl구(區)와 비슷하였으나 $NH_4$는 낮은 N 농도에서 과대치를 나타냈다. 재사용(再使用)한 IER의 흡수율은 60~80%로서 일정한 흡수율을 나타내지 않았지만 전처리(前處理)로서, 흡수율(吸收率)을 구명(究明)하여 N 농도별로 각각(各各) 흡수율(吸收率)을 적용하면 재사용이 가능할 것으로 판단(判斷)된다.

ADAPTATION OF THE RUMEN BAG DIGESTIBILITY TECHNIQUE FOR USE IN GOATS

  • Problems with maintaining service and equipment in some developing countries suggest that the rumen bag technique may be more appropriate for the determination of plant dry matter digestibility. The technique has been adapted for use in goats in the 16-25 kg liveweight range. Reliable results were obtained for animals maintained under shelter in cages and fed on a mixed legume/grass diet. The results showed that up to 7 bags containing dried and ground (2 mm screen) plant samples (1-3 g) could be satisfactorily used in each goat. The digestibility of the legumes studied did not increase with incubation times over 48 hours, but there was an increase in the digestibility of grasses. However an incubation time of 48 hours was adapted for both legumes and grasses as it allowed more efficient work scheduling for large numbers of samples while still giving acceptable comparisons between species. Losses of material from the bags during a 6 hour soaking in water were 2-9% as fine solids and 14-21% in solution. In the method finally adapted the disappearance was measured for plant samples that were placed in Dacron mesh bags ($7{\times}14cm$, 44 micron) and 6 bags suspended in the rumen of each sheep for 48 hours.

DETECTING THE CAUSES OF WATER LOGGING PROBLEM IN DHAKA CITY BY APPLYING CONTINGENT VALUATION METHOD AND REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUE

  • Although flood is a very common natural disaster in Bangladesh, recently Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh got flooded even in moderate rainfall. Accordingly, on January 2002 the sale and use of polythene bags were banned, by identifying it as one of the main causes for such flooding. Now the question arises, whether only polythene shopping bags are alone responsible for causing water logging problem. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to detect the reason(s) for the recent prolonged water logging problem in Dhaka City, even by small amount of rainfall. Both contingent valuation method and remote sensing technique were used for comparison of the results. The results of the study indicated that, not only polythene bags, but also unplanned land filling is also liable for creating water logging problem in Dhaka City. Finally, the study suggested that, the value of wetlands lost, which is directly related to the recent water logging problem, is more higher than what actually thought by the citizens of Dhaka City.

의상과 가방의 디자인 관련성과 코디네이션 (Design Relevance and Coordination of Clothing and Bags)

  • The purpose of this study is in planning clothing and bag design and VMD. For this purpose, the pret-a-porter fashion collection is divided into the following sectors: brands, years, and seasons, focusing on the design elements. The results of this study are as follows: 1. It is these three ways that determine the relevance of clothing and bag design planning. first, we have analyzed design properties analogously with one design element, like Louis Vuitton. Second, we considered design properties analogously with two design elements, like Chanel, Gucci, Prada. Third, we examined design properties analogously with three design elements, like Christian dior, Fendi, Etro. 2. The comparison of clothing and bag design properties year by year shows that they were mainly designed with an analogous aspect with pattern and decoration. 3. Clothing does well to match a bag between analogous design properties of design elements to express similarity coordination and between contrast design properties of design elements to express plus one coordination or crossover coordination. 4. The aspect of coordination of clothing and bags year by year is different period. This is because of clothing and bag design's change according fashion trend. 5. S/S coordination of clothing and bags is effective to present plus one coordination or crossover coordination. And F/W coordination of clothing and bags is effective to present similarity in coordination.

Compatibility of Diazepam with Polypropylene Multilayer Infusion Container

  • Techflex$^{(R)}$, a polypropylene-lined, multilayer infusion bag, was studied for its compatibility with diazepam, in comparison to the conventional infusion bag, Safeflex$^{(R)}$, which is comprised of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). Diazepam was diluted in 0.9% sodium chloride isotonic solution and stored in the infusion bags for 24 h. To evaluate the sorption of diazepam into the infusion bags during storage, the concentration of the drug remaining in the bag was measured using gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy. The PVC bags exhibited a marked sorption of diazepam, with a drug loss reaching up to 90% of the initial concentration after 24 h of contact, whereas Techflex$^{(R)}$ inhibited the drug sorption, showing approximately 10%, under the same conditions. The differences in the sorption behaviors of the bags are discussed in terms of solubility parameters and crystallinities of the polymers.

Factors Influencing Consumer Behavior Towards Green Consumption: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • This study aims to investigate factors influencing customer behavior towards nylon bags and single-use plastics. These factors are environmental protection awareness, health protection awareness, sense of responsibility, expectations, and green marketing. A quantitative method with the use of surveys is deployed to collect data of young people under 30, generating 1650 valid responses. The collected data is then analyzed with SPSS 22, using Cronbach's Alpha and Exploratory Factor Analysis to test the reliability of the model before validating the hypotheses by regression analysis. The study found that the majority of respondents are inclined to use plastic bags, despite their environmental awareness. The results also demonstrate that health consciousness, environmental concerns, self-driven responsibility for the sustainability of young people have a significant impact on their behaviors in using nylon bags and plastic products, whereas expectation and green marketing are confirmed not to be the factors. The study suggests that if green marketing is to gain higher influence, an increase in research and development to support other environmentally friendly packaging would be the right path. Finally, this research proposes some feasible recommendations for the government, which include imposing bolder and more targeted environmental policies on consumers and introducing educational campaigns to raise awareness about minimizing plastic consumption.
