나노 환경입자 측정용 전기적 임팩터의 설계 및 성능평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation of Electrical Impactor for Nano Environmental Aerosols)

  • An electrical cascade impactor is a multistage impaction device to separate airborne particles into aerodynamic size classes using electrical method. We designed a real-time three-stage electrical low-pressure impactor, which is proper to nanometer sized environmental aerosols. Performance evaluation was carried out for stage 1 and 2. The monodisperse liquid dioctyl sebacate (DOS) particles were generated using condensation-evaporation followed by electrostatic classification using DMA (differential mobility analizer) for particles with diameters in the range of $0.04{\sim}0.8{\mu}m$. The evaluation of the electrical impactor is based on the use of two electrometers, one connected to the impaction plate of the impactor, and the other to the faraday cage as backup filter. The results showed that the experimental 50% cutoff diameters in the operation pressure were 0.53 and $0.12{\mu}m$ for stage 1 and stage 2. The effect of operation pressure on the cutoff diameter and the steepness of collection effcieicy curves is investigated.

Passive Air Sampler (PAS)와 기체/입자 분배모델을 이용한 대기 중 PCB 농도 산정 (Estimation of Air Concentrations of PCBs using Passive Air Samplers (PAS) and a Gas/particle Partition Model)

  • Polyurethane foam-disk passive air samplers (PAS) were deployed in a southern area of Korea for three months. The target compounds were 12 coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The congener profiles measured in this study were the same as those in ambient air and emission gas from the incinerator. A gradient of the total PCBs in different regions (industrial>residential>rural) was observed, suggesting the industrial complex may be an important source of coplanar PCBs. In general, only gas-phase compounds are mainly sequestrated by PAS. In order to estimate the concentration of particle-phase PCBs, a gas/particle partition model was used. A combined result (gas+particle-phase PCBs) was compared with previous results, indicating that the level of coplanar PCBs in our study area is comparable to those in other urban sites in the world. The validation of this method for estimating the total concentration is required through additional backup studies.

  • 2003년 9월 발사된 과학기술위성 1호의 탑재체 원자외선 분광기(FIMS)기는 우주 및 오로라 관측을 주 임무로 하고있다. 본 논문에서는 원자외선 분광기의 성공적인 천문 관측을 지원하기 위해, 탑재 컴퓨터와 원자외선 분광기와의 간단하고 신뢰성 있는 시간 동기화 기법을 소개한다. 이것은 과학기술위성 1호라는 특별한 환경 하에서 위성의 신뢰성을 줄이지 않으면서 시간 동기화를 이루도록 고안된 방법이다. 정확도가 서로 다른 두 가지 방법이 제시되었으며, 주된 방법을 사용할 수 없을 때 정확도가 낮은 방법을 사용함으로써 고장에 대처할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 기법들은 위성 시스템의 변경을 최소화하고 간단한 회로를 사용함으로써 구현에 따른 비용을 절감하고 고도의 신뢰성을 유지하도록 설계되었다.

AAA와 KCAB 조정제도의 비교와 시사점 (Comparison and Suggestions of Mediation System between AAA and KCAB)

  • Mediation, which is part of ADR, is a method used to settle disputes amicably by employing a third party who is in a neutral position. Utilization and attention on meditation are increasing in place of litigation and arbitration owing to its effectiveness in terms of time, cost, and effectiveness in achieving an amicable settlement. As to Korea, mediation at the civil level was employed by the KCAB in July 2012 but its utilization was in ABC stage compared to mediation at the governmental and judicial levels. Based on this situation, this study reviewed the guideline and system of the KCAB through a comparison of the management system between the KCAB and AAA where mediation was in good use. This study further suggests solutions as to the development of an international commercial mediation system First, the KCAB rule is needed to create a mediation language, mediation place, mediator internationalization, and so on. Second, a system backup is necessary to ensure the enforceability and effectiveness of mediation. Third, a unified mediation law in Korea is desirable for the harmonization of mediations at civil, governmental, and judicial levels. The unified mediation law, if it is made, may lead to an international base where this requirement exists. Fourth, advertising the merits of mediation to the public is necessary. Fifth, securing specialized mediators and relevant training are essential. If the above requirements are implemented, Korea would advance in international commercial disputes.

  • A virtual studio is a new video production environment using interactive computer graphics and imaging media technology. The traditional chroma-keying with two-dimensional background is replaced by an advanced keying method with a dynamic computer-generated, three-dimensional background. We have developed a virtual studio system that is practical to use in the real production environment. It has not only essential features that are common among various commercial virtual studio systems, but also unique feature that help the producer to construct virtual studio sets and scenarios efficiently such as span graph, robust backup controller, and 3 dimensional character generator supporting all languages. Our virtual studio system was used in live broadcasting and proved that the system was practical enough. In this paper, we will introduce the structure and the major features of our system, called VdreamSet, and application examples to broadcasting.

  • The four-leg Voltage Source Converter(VSC) can use the DC link voltage effectively by the 3-D SVPWM method. Hence the DC battery voltage can be reduced by $15\%$ in comparison to that of the conventional line-interactive UPS system. In this paper a novel line interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) using the two four-leg VSCs is proposed. One VSC is in parallel with the ac link reactor of the power source side, and the other is in series with the load. The parallel four-leg voltage source inverter controls the three-phase line voltage independently in order to control the line reactor current indirectly. It eliminates the neutral line current and the active ripple power of the source side using the pqr theory so that unity power factor and the sinusoidal source current can be achieved even though both the source and the load voltages have zero sequence components. The series four-leg voltage source inverter compensates the line voltage and allows it to be balanced and harmonic-free. Both of the parallel and series four-leg voltage source inverters always act as independently controllable voltage sources, so that the three-phase output voltage shows a seamless transition to the backup mode. The feasibility of the proposed UPS system has been investigated and verified through computer simulations results.

  • 현재 QoS 라우팅의 목적은 사용자 서비스들의 각 QoS 요구사항을 만족하는 최적의 경로를 찾아 서비스하는 것이다. 그러나 네트워크 상황에 따라 장애가 발생했을 경우 이들의 QoS 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 또 다른 백업 경로를 사용하여 서비스해야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 네트워크 상에 발생된 장애 상황에 대해 서비스되고 있는 각 응용들에 대한 복구 방법으로 서비스 복구 QoS 재라우팅 알고리즘을 제시하고자한다. 이를 위해 사전에 모든 네트워크 노드를 보호할 수 있는 PFC(Protection Fundamental Cycle) 생성 방법론과 최소의 재라우팅 비용을 사용하는 경로 선택 알고리즘들에 대해 살펴보고 이들에 대한 성능을 분석하기로 한다.

대용량 무정전 전원장치를 위한 배터리 모니터링 시스템 (Battery Monitoring System for High Capacity Uninterruptible Power Supply)

  • 배터리는 ESS, 전기자동차 및 무정전 전원 백업 시스템 등의 다양한 분야에서 사용이 증가하고 있다. 납산배터리는 에너지밀도가 낮지만, 신뢰성이 높고 저가격의 이점으로 대용량 전력백업 장비에 가장 많이 사용되는 배터리이다. 배터리의 사용에 따라 노화가 진행되면 충전 가능 용량(SoH)이 줄어들게 되어 상태를 추정하는 것이 매우 중요하며, 배터리의 내부저항으로 SoH를 추정하는 방법을 많이 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 대용량 무정전 전원장치인 IDC를 위한 배터리 모니터링 시스템(BMS)을 제안하였다. 내부저항을 측정하는 간단한 알고리즘을 제안하고, BMS 시스템 구성을 위한 CPU 및 아날로그 회로 구성과 신호처리 알고리즘에 대한 연산 블록도를 보였다. 실제 IDC 현장에 적용한 측정결과 사례를 제시하여 제안한 방법의 유용함을 보였다.

A Novel Smart Contract based Optimized Cloud Selection Framework for Efficient Multi-Party Computation

  • The industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is characterized by intelligent connection, real-time data processing, collaborative monitoring, and automatic information processing. The heterogeneous IIoT devices require a high data rate, high reliability, high coverage, and low delay, thus posing a significant challenge to information security. High-performance edge and cloud servers are a good backup solution for IIoT devices with limited capabilities. However, privacy leakage and network attack cases may occur in heterogeneous IIoT environments. Cloud-based multi-party computing is a reliable privacy-protecting technology that encourages multiparty participation in joint computing without privacy disclosure. However, the default cloud selection method does not meet the heterogeneous IIoT requirements. The server can be dishonest, significantly increasing the probability of multi-party computation failure or inefficiency. This paper proposes a blockchain and smart contract-based optimized cloud node selection framework. Different participants choose the best server that meets their performance demands, considering the communication delay. Smart contracts provide a progressive request mechanism to increase participation. The simulation results show that our framework improves overall multi-party computing efficiency by up to 44.73%.

무선 센서 네트워크에서 백업 클러스터 헤드를 이용한 라우팅 방법 (A Routing Method Using a Backup Cluster Head in Wireless Sensor Networks)

  • 무선 센서 네트워크를 구성하는 센서노드들이 클러스터를 구성하고 선출된 클러스터 헤드가 클러스터 내의 센서노드들로부터 데이터를 받아서 병합한 다음, 기지국으로 데이터를 전달하는 클러스터 기반 라우팅 방법이 연구되어 왔다. 이 클러스터 기반 라우팅 방법에서 클러스터 헤드에 고장이 발생한다면, 해당 클러스터의 데이터는 기지국으로 전달할 수 없어 데이터 신뢰성에 문제가 생긴다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 고장감내를 지원하는 클러스터 기반 라우팅 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 각 클러스터마다 백업 클러스터 헤드를 지정하여 원래의 클러스터 헤드에 고장이 발생한다면 백업 클러스터 헤드가 그 역할을 대신하도록 함으로써 데이터 전달의 신뢰성을 보장한다.
