레이저 용접물의 용접성 평가 (An Weldability Estimation of Laser Welded Specimens)

  • It has been conducted by laser vision sensor for weldability estimation of front-bead after doing high speed butt laser welding of any condition. It has been developed a real time GUI(Graphic User Interface) system for weldability application in the basis of texts and field qualify levels. In the reference of bead imperfections, defects absolute position and defects intensity index of front-bead in the basis of formability reference, it has been produced a weldability estimation and defects intensity index of back-bead by back propagation neural network. In the result of by comparing measuring data by laser vision sensor of back-bead and data by back propagation neural network of one, it has been shown the similar results. Finally, under knowledge of welding condition in production line, it has been conducted a weldability estimation of back-bead only in knowledge of informations of front-bead data without using laser vision sensor or welding inspection experts and furthermore it can be used data for final inspection results of back-bead.

  • The cooling stage greatly affects the product quality in the injection molding process. The cooling system that minimizes temperature variance in the product surface will improve the quality and the productivity of products. In this research, we tried the back-propagation algorithm of artificial neural network to find an optimum solution in the cooling system design of injection mold. The cooling system optimization problem that was once solved by a response surface method with 4 design variables was solved by applying the back-propagation algorithm, resulting in a solution with a sufficient accuracy. Furthermore the number of training points was much reduced by applying the fractional factorial design without losing solution accuracy.

Estimating Regression Function with $\varepsilon-Insensitive$ Supervised Learning Algorithm

  • One of the major paradigms for supervised learning in neural network community is back-propagation learning. The standard implementations of back-propagation learning are optimal under the assumptions of identical and independent Gaussian noise. In this paper, for regression function estimation, we introduce $\varepsilon-insensitive$ back-propagation learning algorithm, which corresponds to minimizing the least absolute error. We compare this algorithm with support vector machine(SVM), which is another $\varepsilon-insensitive$ supervised learning algorithm and has been very successful in pattern recognition and function estimation problems. For comparison, we consider a more realistic model would allow the noise variance itself to depend on the input variables.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 역전파 알고리즘(Back-propagation Algorithm)의 문제점인 지역 최소점(Local Minimum point) 빠질 위험을 제거함과 동시에 학습속도(learning-speed)를 빠르게 하기 위해서 모먼팀을 갖는 PID 역전파 알고리듬(PIDBPMT: PID Back-Propagation algorithm with Momentum Term)을 제안하여 모먼텀 항을 갖는 신경망 PID 제어기를 설계하였다. 그 제어기를 D.C 서보 모터를 구동원으로 하는 위치제어계에서 적용하여 시뮬레이션으로 그 성능을 검정하였다.

The Detection of Esophagitis by Using Back Propagation Network Algorithm

  • The results of this study suggest the use of a Back Propagation Network (BPN) algorithm for the detection of esophageal erosions or abnormalities - which are the important signs of esophagitis - in the analysis of the color and textural aspects of clinical images obtained by endoscopy. The authors have investigated the optimization of the learning condition by the number of neurons in the hidden layer within the structure of the neural network. By optimizing learning parameters, we learned and have validated esophageal erosion images and/or ulcers functioning as the critical diagnostic criteria for esophagitis and associated abnormalities. Validation was established by using twenty clinical images. The success rates for detection of esophagitis during calibration and during validation were 97.91% and 96.83%, respectively.

  • 본 연구에서는 종래에 학습법으로 널리 이용되고 있는 역전파학습법의 문제점으로 지적되어 온 학습에 많은 시간이 걸리는 점과 국소적 최적해에 해가 수렴하여 오차가 충분히 작게 되지 않는 등의 문제점을 해결하기 위해, Hu에 의해 고안된 random tabu 탐색법을 이용하여 신경회로망의 연결강도를 최적화하는 학습알고리즘을 새로이 제안하였다. 그리고 이 방법을 배타적 논리합 문제에 적용하여 기존의 역전파학습법과 학습상수 $, $에 tabu탐색법을 이용한 결과와 비교 검토하여 본 방법이 국소적 최적해에 수렴하지 않고 수렴정도를 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper present the strategy of self-tuning nonlinear PID control using neural network. The nonlinear PID controller consists of a conventional PID controller and a neural network compensator. The neural network is trained by back-propagation algorithm. In this paper we propose modified back-propagation algorithm to improve learning speed. The results of simulation show the usefulness of the proposed scheme.

  • 본 논문에서는 NFC(Neuro-Fuzzy Controller)와 ANN(Artificial Neural network) 제어기를 이용한 IPMSM의 속도 제어 및 추정을 제시한다. PI 제어기에서 나타나는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 신경회로망과 퍼지제어를 혼합적용한 NFC를 설계한다. 신경회로망의 고도의 적응제어와 퍼지 제어기의 강인성 제어의 장점들을 접목한다. 다음은 ANN을 이용하여 IPMSM 드라이브의 속도 추정기법을 제시한다. 2층 구조를 가진 신경회로망에 BPA(Back Propagation Algorithm)를 적용하여 IPMSM 드라이브의 속도를 추정한다. 추정속도의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 시스템을 구성하여 제어특성을 분석한다.

  • This study is to estimate the joint torques without torque sensor using the EMG (Electromyogram) signal of agonist/antagonist muscle with Neural Network Back Propagation Algorithm during the elbow motion. Command Signal can be guessed by EMG signal. But it cannot calculate the joint torque. There are many kinds of field utilizing Back Propagation Learning Method. It is generally used as a virtual sensor estimated physical information in the system functioning through the sensor. In this study applied the algorithm to obtain the virtual senor values estimated joint torque. During various elbow movement (Biceps isometric contraction, Biceps/Triceps Concentric Contraction (isotonic), Biceps/Triceps Concentric Contraction/Eccentric Contraction (isokinetic)), exact joint torque was measured by KINCOM equipment. It is input to the (BP)algorithm with EMG signal simultaneously and have trained in a variety of situations. As a result, Only using the EMG sensor, this study distinguished a variety of elbow motion and verified a virtual torque value which is approximately(about 90%) the same as joint torque measured by KINCOM equipment.

Levenberg-Marquardt 알고리즘의 지반공학 적용성 평가 (Evaluation for Applications of the Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm in Geotechnical Engineering)

  • 본 연구에서는 Levenberg-Marquardt(LM) 알고리즘 인공신경망을 통하여 지반공학 문제 중의 하나인 압축지수를 예측하였고, 예측된 결과는 현재 지반공학에 널리 사용되고 있는 Back Propagation(BP) 알고리즘 인공신경망의 예측 결과와 비교하여 LM 알고리즘의 지반공학 적용성을 평가하였다. 또한 두 알고리즘에 의한 예측치는 기존에 제안된 압축지수의 경험식들에 의하여 산정된 결과들과 비교를 통하여 예측결과의 정확성을 확인하였다. 경험식에 의한 압축지수의 산정치는 전반적으로 BP 알고리즘과 LM 알고리즘 인공신경망에 의한 예측치에 비하여 더 큰 오차를 나타냈다. LM 알고리즘에 의한 압축지수의 예측치는 BP 알고리즘의 예측치와 비교할 때 정확도는 비슷하나 수렴속도에서 더 좋은 결과를 보여 LM 알고리즘의 지반공학 적용성은 우수한 것으로 나타났다.
