간 경변 진단시 신경망을 이용한 분류기 구현 (Implementation of the Classification using Neural Network in Diagnosis of Liver Cirrhosis)

  • 자기공명영상과 계층적 신경망을 이용하여 간경변증을 단계별로 분류하고자 하였다. 내원한 231명의 데이터를 분석하였으며, 각 단계별 분류는 정상,1, 2, 3단계로 분류하였다. TI강조 자기공명 간 영상으로부터 정상 간 실질과 간 경변 결절을 추출하고, 간 경화증의 단계를 객관적으로 해석 분류하였다. 간 경변 분류기 구현은 계층적 신경망을 이용하였고, 명암도 분석과 간 결절 특성을 통하여 정상간과 3단계의 간 경변으로 구분하였다. 제안한 신경망 분류기는 오류 역전파 알고리듬을 이용하였다. 분류결과 인식율이 정상군은 $100\%$, 1 단계는 $82.8\%$, 2 단계는 $87.1\%$, 3 단계는 $84.2\%$의 분류율을 나타내었다. 신경망 분류 결과와 전문의 판독 결과를 서로 비교한 결과 인식률은 매우 높게 나타났다. 만일 더욱더 충분한 데이터나 파라미터를 가지고 지속적으로 수행한다면 간 경변 환자들에게 임상적으로 지원하는 도구뿐만 아니라 의료전문 신경망으로도 기대된다.

  • 본 논문은 차세대 자동차 지능형 통합 스마트 모니터 시스템을 제작하였다. 차량의 계기판 장치는 많은 방해 요소를 감소시키며, 운전자들에게 영향을 주지 않고 도로에 집중할 수 있도록 하는 것이 필수적이다. 위험 경보는 시각적인 디스플레이와 함께 유용하게 사용되지만 기존의 방식은 문제가 있다. 차량 안전 시스템의 최적화는 위험을 알리는 각종 경보보다 더 필수적인 것은 운전자가 도로에 집중할 수 있는 시각적인 장치가 요구된다. 지능형 통합 스마트 모니터 시스템은 자동차에서 가장 많이 보는 정보인 자동차 속도, 엔진 회전속도, 연료, 엔진 온도, 연료 게이지, 회전표시등과 각종 경보 표시등 기본 정보를 모아서 운전자에게 제공한다. 본 논문에서 설계한 지능형 통합 스마트 모니터 시스템은 박막 트랜지스터 액정 표시 장치, 액정 표시 장치배경 조명 발광다이오드, 평면 미러, 특수 제작된 렌즈 및 구동회로로 구성되어 있으며, 운전자 안전성을 고려한 차세대 지능형 자동차 통합스마트 모니터 시스템을 제작, 분석하였다.

  • 그리드 데이터 베이스에서 복제본 데이터는 응용 서비스 제공을 위한 기반 정보로서 활용되며, 응용 서비스의 종류, 정보의 특성에 따라 각각의 복제본에 대한 접근 빈도에 차이가 발생한다. 특히 많은 노드에 복제본이 저장됨으로 인해 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 각각의 복제본을 관리하는 연구가 계속 되고 있다. 그의 일환으로 접근 빈도를 기반으로 한 데이터 갱신 기법이 있으며, 복제본 노드의 접근 빈도를 기반으로 데이터를 갱신한다. 하지만 동적인 접근에 대한 고려가 부족하여 그리드 환경에는 부적합하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 갱신 정보를 관리하기 위한 동적 접근 빈도 트리를 이용한 갱신 기법을 제안한다. 동적 접근 빈도 트리는 접근 빈도를 통하여 미리 각 노드를 그룹단위로 묶어 트리를 구축하며, 또한 트리의 불균형으로 인하여 성능이 저하되는 것을 방지한다. 제안 기법은 성능평가를 통해 빠른 갱신을 보임으로써 기존의 기법에 비하여 향상된 성능을 보인다.

Effect of Shoulder Position on Scapular Muscle Activity during Scapular Protraction

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate several tasks performed at a high intensity in terms of their ability to elicit EMG activity in the serratus anterior by comparing the EMG activities of the serratus anterior, upper trapezius, and lower trapezius muscles during six tasks combined shoulder flexion with rotation. Methods: Fifteen healthy males were recruited to this study. Each subject was instructed to assume a sitting position without back support and asked to flex (90° or 120°) the right shoulder and protract the scapula in the sagittal plane with maximal external rotation; to assume a neutral position; or to internally rotate the glenohumeral joint. The EMG data were collected from the serratus anterior (SA), upper trapezius (UT), and lower trapezius (LT) muscles were normalized to maximum voluntary isometric contraction. The UT/LT and UT/SA muscle activity ratios in each task were assessed by calculating the surface EMG. Data were analyzed by two-way repeated-measures analysis of variance, with the level of significance set at p<0.05. Results: The results of this study, shoulder flexion with external rotation resulted in low upper trapezius/serratus anterior and upper trapezius/lower trapezius ratios and a relatively high level of serratus anterior activation. Conclusion: Shoulder flexion with external rotation used herein may be considered as important for clinical interventions aimed at selectively increasing SA strengthen and clinical selection of exercises for improving glenohumeral joint and scapulothoracic control.

극저온 환경에서의 피로균열 선단의 온도상승에 관한 연구 (A Study on Temperature Rising near Fatigue Crack Tip at Cryogenic Temperature)

  • The structural materials for cryogenic technology have been recently developed to support the many modern large-scale application from superconducting magnets for nuclear fusion reactor, magnetic levitation railway to LNG tankers. However it is pointed out that quenching phenomenon is one of the serious problems for the integrity of these applications, which is mainly attributed to the rapid temperature rising in the material due to some extrinsic factors of structures. From the viewpoint of fracture mechanics, it is therefore very important to clarify the mechanism of temperature rising of structural material due to cyclic loading at cryogenic temperature. From this purpose, fatigue test was carried out for high manganese steel at liquid helium temperature(4.2K) using triangular stress waveform to identify both the mechanism of temperature rising near crack tip and the effect of loading stress waveform on temperature rising near crack tip and the effect of loading stress waveforms on temperature rising. As the results, two types of temperature rising, that is, regular and burst types were observed. And a periodical temperature rising corresponding to the stress waveforms was also found. The peaks of the temperature rising were recorded near both the maximum and the minimum values of the applied stress. The sudden temperature rises, which indicated the higher values than those of periodical temperature rises under the repetition of stress, were observed at the final region of crack growth. It was shown that the peak values of the temperature rising increased with stress intensity factor range.

Detecting of Periodic Fasciculations of Avian Muscles Using Magnetic and Other Multimedia Devices

  • In the past, there was a theory that influenza wasn't transmitted directly from birds but was infected to humans via swains. Recently, molecular level research has progressed, and it was confirmed that the avian influenza virus can directly infected to human lung and intestinal epithelial cells. Three pandemicsin the past 100 years were also infected to humans directly from birds. In view of such scientific background, we are developing a method for screening sick birds by monitoring the physiological characteristics of birds in a contactless manner with sensors. Here, the movement of respiratory muscles and abdominal muscles under autonomic innervation was monitored using a magnet and Hall sensor sewn on the thoracic wall, and other multimedia devices. This paper presents and discusses the results of experiments involving continuous periodic noise discovered during flight experiments with a data logger mounted on a Japanese pheasant from 2012 to 2015. A brief summary is given as the below: 1. Magnet and Hall sensor sewn to the left and right chest walls, bipolar electrocardiograms between the thoracic walls, posterior thoracic air sac pressure, angular velocity sensors sewn on the back and hips, and optical reflection of LEDs (blue and green) from the skin of the hips allow observation of periodic vibrations(fasciculations) in the waves. No such analysis has been reported before. 2. These fasciculations are presumed to be derived from muscle to maintain and control air sac pressure. 3. Since each muscle fiber is spatially Gaussian distributed from the sympathetic nerve, the envelope is assumed to plot a Gaussian curve. 4. Since avian trunk muscles contract periodically at all time, we assume that the sympathetic nerve dominates in their control. 5. The technique of sewing a magnet to the thoracic wall and measuring the strength of the magnetic field with a Hall sensor can be applied to screen for early stage of avian influenza, with a sensor attached to the chicken enclosure.

A Mid-Term Follow-Up Result of Spinopelvic Fixation Using Iliac Screws for Lumbosacral Fusion

  • Objective : Iliac screw fixation has been used to prevent premature loosening of sacral fixation and to provide more rigid fixation of the sacropelvic unit. We describe our technique for iliac screw placement and review our experience with this technique. Methods : Thirteen consecutive patients who underwent spinopelvic fixation using iliac screws were enrolled. The indications for spinopelvic fixation included long segment fusions for spinal deformity and post-operative flat-back syndrome, symptomatic pseudoarthrosis of previous lumbosacral fusions, high-grade lumbosacral spondylolisthesis, lumbosacral tumors, and sacral fractures. Radiographic outcomes were assessed using plain radiographs, and computed tomographic scans. Clinical outcomes were assessed using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and questionnaire about buttock pain. Results : The median follow-up period was 33 months (range, 13-54 months). Radiographic fusion across the lumbosacral junction was obtained in all 13 patients. The average pre- and post-operative ODI scores were 40.0 and 17.5, respectively. The questionnaire for buttock pain revealed the following : 9 patients (69%) perceived improvement; 3 patients (23%) reported no change; and 1 patient (7.6%) had aggravation of pain. Two patients complained of prominence of the iliac hardware. The complications included one violation of the greater sciatic notch and one deep wound infection. Conclusion : Iliac screw fixation is a safe and valuable technique that provides added structural support to S1 screws in long-segment spinal fusions. Iliac screw fixation is an extensive surgical procedure with potential complications, but high success rates can be achieved when it is performed systematically and in appropriately selected patients.

A Study On Wartime Sealift Operation Using Simulation

  • The ROK TRANSCOM is trying to establish a concrete wartime sealift operation plan. But there are many problems to be solved for setting up the plan. The most serious problem is to procure war materiel to be shipped in U.S.A and next one is to determine the number of sealift assets and to allocate them. The process of sealift operation can be described as follows. Before the order of vessel mobilization, all vessels appointed for activation would be scattered in worldwide in the state of Beaded or unloaded. After the order of vessel mobilization, vessels would go to SPGE(seaport of embarkation) to load war materiel. Some loaded ships should offload the commercial cargo to the near port as soon as they are activated, before they would go to SPOE. All vessels would load procured materiel in SPOE and then go to SPOD(seaport of debarkation). They would offload war materiel in SPOD and then go back to SPOE to load war materiel again. We will simulate this process using ARENA(1), evaluate the sealift capability of ROK and find omit problems of the sealift plan. This model ultimately evaluates the sealift capability and provides planners with critical information far establishing and correcting the plan. This study can also provide military planners with a flexible and accessible decision support tool to provide advance planning under a variety of conditions on the sealift capability. The military planner is expected to make use of this model as a standard for establishing effective and concrete sealift operation in the near future. We can conclude how procurement capability significantly affects the result of sealift operation through this model. We could decide the appropriate levee of sealift asset such as the number of vessels and the number of available berth. So we could allocate effectively the resources for completing the sealift operation within the TGT(Target) time.

Filum Terminale Lipoma with Herniated Intervertebral Disc Treated with Traditional Korean Medicine: A Case Report

  • Filum terminale lipoma is an inherited lumbosacral abnormality that can cause tethered cord syndrome. This report describes an unusual case of lumbago and sciatica, pain suspected to be caused by a filum terminale lipoma where a herniated intervertebral disc had occurred. The patient was hospitalized for 43 days and received integrative Korean medicine treatment, including acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, Chuna therapy, cupping therapy, physiotherapy and herbal medicine. Treatment effectiveness was assessed using the numerical rating scale, Oswestry Disability Index, European Quality of Life 5-Dimensions, and patient symptoms. After inpatient treatment, the pain the patient suffered was significantly reduced, and the evaluation indices scores reflected this. Integrative Korean remedies may be an effective option for lower back pain and lower extremity symptoms which are caused by filum terminale lipoma where a herniated intervertebral disc has occurred. Additional clinical research is required to support this observation.

가업상속제도 개선방안 (A Study on Inheritance Tax Relief System for Business Succession)

  • 최근 우리나라의 경제성장을 이끌어온 창업세대가 세대교체를 맞이하고 있으며 그 전환점에 있어서 가업승계가 중소기업 경영자의 중요한 관심사로 떠오르고 있다. 이에 정부에서는 국가 경제성장의 주축인 중소기업의 가업승계 과정에서 발생하는 조세부담을 완화하고, 지속적인 성장을 통한 일자리 창출에 기여하기 위하여 가업승계에 대한 세제지원을 지속적으로 확대해 오고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 가업상속제도의 현황을 살펴보고 가업승계의 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 가업상속 세제지원 혜택시 그 적용대상 재산의 범위는 해당 세제지원 혜택을 제공하는 취지가 잘 반영될 수 있도록 규정되어야 하고, 가업승계 중소기업들은 가업승계 요건을 맞추기 쉽지 않아 제도의 실효성 문제가 대두되고 있어 중소기업 현실을 고려한 가업승계 요건을 개선해야 할 필요성이 있다. 또한 가업상속에 대해 상속세 공제혜택을 제공하는 경우 실질적인 가업 상속에 한해 세제지원혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 사후 관리 규정이 필요하다.
