  • In this paper, we present the design of AAL2/AAL5 Type conversion Unit using among BSC, BTS, Core-Network in IMT-2000 system. We first briefly introduce the B-ISDN ATM Adaptation layer specification of Type 2 AAL and Type 5 AAL, and describe conversion flow and each module. And then this paper has designed AAL2/AAL5 Type Conversion Unit and simulated it.

  • Development of IT and electronics industries has make our life more convenient, yet at the cost of radio communication noise, malfunctioning of electronic appliance and risks against human health all resulting from EMI. Many states are tightening their EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) regulations around the world and the EMI regulatory measures are likely to increase in terms of targets and types. Against this backdrop, this paper aims to introduce fundamental and adequate EMI countermeasures encompassing product production cycle from design to production stage.

  • CSMA/CA를 기반으로 하고 있는 802.11 MAC 프로토콜에서는 RTS/CTS를 이용한 reservation 기법으로 medium을 공유하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 기법은 모든 노드의 송/수신 범위가 같을 때만 유효하다. 현실적으로 송/수신기와 안테나 특성, shading 효과 등으로 인하여 노드의 송/수신 범위가 달라지기 때문에 비대칭 링크가 발생하고, 이 경우 데이터 충돌이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 환경하에서 MAC 계층 패킷의 층돌을 방지하기 위해 BTS(Block-to-Send) 패킷을 도입하여 비대칭 링크 노드의 데이터 전송을 막는 기법을 제안한다.

Characterization of Electrical Properties on Cu Diffusion in Low-k Dielectric Materials for ULSI Interconnect (반도체 배선용 저 유전 물질에서의 구리 확산에 대한 전기적 신뢰성 평가)

  • We investigated the electrical properties of copolymer low-k materials that are compromised of the PMSSQ(Poly Methyl Silsesquioxane)-based matrix with the BTMSE (Bis Tri Methoxy Silyl Ethane) additives. We manufactured MIS-type test samples using the copolymer as the insulator and measured their leakage current and failure time by means of the BTS (bias-temperature-stress) test. The failure time was observed to decrease drastically when the porosity of the copolymer was increased over $30\%$. From the measurement of failure time with respect to temperature. the activation energy of Cu drift through the copolymer was calculated to be 1.51 eV.

  • This research examines the impact of Korean boy group's misogyny issue leading to internal conflicts among female fans and external division. As a result of research, BTS's fans who are mostly female reflected their identities by problem posed by external stakeholders on this issue. In the past, most fandoms tried to protect themselves from criticism but this case shows a positive significance since they broke out from stereotypical cases. Under the vague and flexible standard, fandom can be considered the obstructing factor for Feminism which suppress and denounce Feminists' idea. It is important to pay attention to possibilities of females hide at the end of the conflict process, being unaccepted by the society for their opinions and tendencies, have uncomfortable emotion against Feminism itself, or Feminism leading to another type of aversion.

A study on the nonvolatile memory characteristics of MNOS structures with double nitride layer (2층 질하막 MNOS구조의 비휘발성 기억특성에 관한 연구)

  • The double nitride layer Metal Nitride Oxide Semiconductor(MNOS) structures were fabricated by variating both gas ratio and nitride thickness, and by duplicating nitride deposited and one nitride layer MNOS structure to improve nonvolatile memory characteristics of MNOS structures by Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition(LPCVD) method. The nonvolatile memory characteristics of write-in, erase, memory retention and degradation of Bias Temperature Stress(BTS) were investigated by the homemade automatic .DELTA. $V_{FB}$ measuring system. In the trap density double nitride layer structures were higher by 0.85*10$^{16}$ $m^{-2}$ than one nitride layer structure, and the AVFB with oxide field was linearly increased. However, one nitride layer structure was linearly increased and saturated above 9.07*10$^{8}$ V/m in oxide field. In the erase behavior, the hole injection from silicon instead of the trapped electron emission was observed, and also it was highly dependent upon the pulse amplitude and the pulse width. In the memory retentivity, double nitrite layer structures were superior to one nitride layer structure, and the decay rate of the trapped electron with increasing temperature was low. At increasing the number on BTS, the variance of AVFB of the double nitride layer structures was smaller than that of one nitride layer structure, and the trapped electron retention rate was high. In this paper, the double nitride layer structures were turned out to be useful in improving the nonvolatile memory characteristics.

  • The electrical and mechanical properties of sputtered Cu(Mg) films are investigated for highly reliable interconnects. The roughness, adhesion, hardness and resistance to thermal stress of Cu(Mg) film annealed in vacuum at $400^{\circ}C$ for 30min were improved than those of pure Cu film. Moreover, the flat band voltage(V$_{F}$ ) shift in the Capacitance-Voltage(C-V) curve upon bias temperature stressing(BTS) was not observed and leakage currents of Cu(Mg) into $SiO_2$ were three times less than those of pure Cu. Because Mg was easy to react with oxide than Cu and Si after annealing, the Mg Oxide which formed at surface and interface served as a passivation layer as well.

  • In this paper, joint transmission space division multiple access(JT-SDMA) scheme is proposed to mitigate inter-cell interference(ICI) in cooperative wireless communications system with limited feedback. We propose a systematic design method for a codebook consisting of a finite number of unitary matrices suitable for network multiple-input multiple-output( MIMO) channel characteristics. A centralized cluster scheduling scheme is proposed to both mitigate ICI and maximizes multiuser diversity gain with limited feedback. It is shown that the proposed JT-SDMA scheme outperforms a existing coordinated SDMA scheme even in wireless network environments where sufficient multiuser diversity order can not be provided through efficient ICI mitigation.

  • This paper presents an implementation and performance analysis of an access channel decoder which exploits a diversity gain due to the independent magnitude of received signals energy at each of antenna elements of a smart antenna BTS (Base-station Transceiver Subsystem) operating in CDMA2000 1X signal environment. Proposed access channel decoder consists of a searcher supporting 4 fingers, Walsh demodulator, and demodulator controller. They have been implemented with 5 of 1 million-gate FPGA's (Field Programmable Gate Array) Altera's APEX EP20K1000EBC652 and TMS320C6203 DSP (digital signal processing). The objective of the proposed access channel decoders is to enhance the data retrieval at co]1-site during the access period, for which the optimal weight vector of the smart antenna BTS is not available. Through experimental tests, we confirmed that the proposed access channel decoder exploitng the diversity technique outperforms the conventional one, which is based on a single antenna channel, in terms of detection probability of access probe, access channel failure probability, and $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$ in Walsh demodulator.r.r.
