  • Recently, there have been various attempts for the adoption and spread of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the construction industry. However, the spread of BIM has been less satisfied than expected, because of the insufficient, expensive hardware and software for the authoring, analysis and so forth. As a solution to resolve the obstacles, the applications of cloud computing technology to BIM have been introduced. Due to the vendor-dependent functions and lack of verification on the work process, the spread of cloud-based BIM has been limited in Korea. Therefore, this study proposes the functions of cloud computing services which can support BIM-based design processes through the review of practitioners, questionnaire survey and analysis of design process.

  • 현재 국내에서는 상품 생산을 위한 각 공정의 업무를 통합관리 해 줄 수 있는 PLM(Product Life-cycle Management)시스템을 건설업에 도입하려는 움직임이 있으며 실제 건설 구조물에 대한 통합환경 시스템인 CPLM(Construction Product Lifecycle Management) 관련 연구를 진행 중에 있다. 통합 시스템 내에서 건설 구조물 생산을 위한 각 업무분야에서는 시스템이 추구하는 업무진행의 흐름에 맞추어 작업을 수행 할 수 있도록 하는 각자의 프로세스를 개발해야 한다. 이 연구에서는 토목구조물을 대상으로 협업환경 내에서 활용 가능한 3D 정보모델인 BIM기반의 해석 및 설계 프로세스를 구축하고 국내외 토목건설산업 분야에서 차세대 설계프로세스로 유력한 BIM기반의 구조해석 및 설계 프로세스의 실용화를 위한 기초자료를 제공함을 목적으로 하며 해석 및 설계 대상 구조물로 아치교량을 선정하여 연구를 진행하였다.

  • 시설물 전생애주기에 걸쳐 정보가 공유되고 피드백 될 수 있는 BIM(Building Information Modeling) 기술의 등장은 유지보수 관리자들에게 가장 필요한 유지관리점검 도구의 의미를 지님과 동시에, 정보모델을 기반으로 주요 기술영역 및 사업주체간 원활한 의사소통이 가능해지도록 한다. 효율적인 지하철 터널의 유지관리를 위해서는 체계적으로 조직된 데이터가 필수적이다. 설계, 시공, 유지관리 단계별로 효과적인 협업을 위한 유기적인 단일 모델이 요구된다. BIM기반의 지하철 터널 구조물의 유지관리를 위해 건설정보분류체계 및 이를 보안한 유지관리점검 표준분류체계를 적용한 정보모델을 개발하였다.

  • IFC(Industry Foundation Classes) is used for information exchange in BIM-based collaboration process, and it does not secure reliability of information exchange results between fields due to structural limitations. In the end, it is a realistic problem that we have to use specialized BIM software by field, and we can not secure smooth interoperability in the process of information exchange and change. This study was conducted to find ways to secure the interoperability of BIM work between architecture and structure fields by utilizing Open Source provided by software developers to solve these problems. First, through expert survey and in-depth interview, information and improvement factors required in the process of collaboration between architecture and structure were derived. Second, in order to find a solution to the improvement factors, existing studies related to Open-API and domestic and overseas APIs were investigated and analyzed. Third, Ad-On was developed to secure interoperability by using Open API, mainly BIM S/W, which is mainly used in each field. As a result of the study, the possibility of securing interoperability through the management of the design change history between fields was confirmed by using API. It is judged that the application range of API will be expanded to the construction and maintenance field in the future. Therefore, in order to increase the usability for application diffusion, further research on interface improvement through user-centered verification is needed.

  • 최근 건설 분야에서는 3차원 설계로 대표되는 Building Information Model(BIM)에 관련된 연구와 현업적용이 활발히 시도되고 있다. 이런 추세에 맞추어 정부에서는 2013년부터 500억 이상의 공사에 BIM을 적용하기로 결정했다. 따라서 BIM의 핵심이라 할 수 있는 정보모델 관련 소프트웨어의 필요성과 활용의 공감대가 확산되고 있다. 또한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술의 보편화에 따른 가상협업환경이 도래하여 BIM 기반의 시설물 정보관리의 보급과 실용적 효과를 높이기 위해 건설과 ICT기술의 융합을 통한 미래 응용기술 연구가 무엇 보다 절실한 시점이다. 이 연구는 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 활용하여 BIM기반 서비스를 제공하기 위한 프로젝트의 전략적 접근방법을 다루고 있다.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the application of BIM to the educational facilities. All the data information is drawn from the integrated design process which links various fields such as energy simulation, structure analyzation, and etc, and it is applied to the project combined as one data set. Moreover, we analyze the possible problems of the data exchange that can happen as collaborating with various fields while working on the project, and we present its solutions and the futher studies on this matter of a project.

  • Recently, BIM (Building Information Modeling) has been attracting attention as a next-generation architectural design tool. The strength of BIM technology is that it enables collaborative work and it is shared in real time. The Revit program, an architectural design program for BIM technology, enhances the information input side, making it possible to know the information of components at the design stage. However, in the use of the Revit program, it is impossible to share or reuse a family created by one designer with another designer. In order to overcome this inefficiency, we designed the design drawing as an Excel file and made it easy to create.

  • Recently BIM technology has been expanded for using in construction project. Due to the high-cost of BIM infrastructure development, lack of regulations, lack of process and so forth, usage of BIM has been delayed than initial expectations. In design phase, especially, collaboration based on BIM system has been a key factor for successful next generation building project. Through the analysis of current research trends about IT technologies, virtualization and BIM service, data exchange such as drawings, 3D model, object data, properties using cloud computing and virtual server system is defined as a most successful solution. The purpose of this study is to enable the cloud computing BIM server to provide several main functions such as editing models, 3D model viewing and checking, mark-up and snapshot in high-performance quality by proper design of VDI system. Concurrent client connection performance is a main technical index of VDI. Through testing of test-bed server client, developed VDI system's multi-connect control is evaluated. Performance-test result of BIM server VDI effect to development direction of cloud computing BIM service for commercialization.
