While youth unemployment has recorded the lowest level since the global COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs(small and medium sized enterprises) are still struggling to fill vacancies. It is difficult for SMEs to find good candidates as well as for job seekers to find appropriate job offers due to information mismatch. To overcome information mismatch, this study proposes the fine-turning model for bidirectional HR matching based on a pre-learning language model called BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers). The proposed model is capable to recommend job openings suitable for the applicant, or applicants appropriate for the job through sufficient pre-learning of terms including technical jargons. The results of the experiment demonstrate the superior performance of our model in terms of precision, recall, and f1-score compared to the existing content-based metric learning model. This study provides insights for developing practical models for job recommendations and offers suggestions for future research.
Recently the massive amount of data has been generated because of the number of edge devices increases. And especially, the number of raw unstructured HTML documents has been increased. Therefore, MRC(Machine Reading Comprehension) in which a natural language processing model finds the important information within an HTML document is becoming more important. In this paper, we propose HTDE(HTML Tag Depth Embedding Method), which allows the BERT to train the depth of the HTML document structure. HTDE makes a tag stack from the HTML document for each input token in the BERT and then extracts the depth information. After that, we add a HTML embedding layer that takes the depth of the token as input to the step of input embedding of BERT. Since tokenization using HTDE identifies the HTML document structures through the relationship of surrounding tokens, HTDE improves the accuracy of BERT for HTML documents. Finally, we demonstrated that the proposed idea showing the higher accuracy compared than the accuracy using the conventional embedding of BERT.

Recently, generative models based on the Transformer architecture, such as ChatGPT, have been gaining significant attention. The Transformer architecture has been applied to various neural network models, including Google's BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) sentence generation model. In this paper, a method is proposed to create a text binary classification model for determining whether a comment on Korean movie review is positive or negative. To accomplish this, a pre-trained multilingual BERT sentence generation model is fine-tuned and transfer learned using a new Korean training dataset. To achieve this, a pre-trained BERT-Base model for multilingual sentence generation with 104 languages, 12 layers, 768 hidden, 12 attention heads, and 110M parameters is used. To change the pre-trained BERT-Base model into a text classification model, the input and output layers were fine-tuned, resulting in the creation of a new model with 178 million parameters. Using the fine-tuned model, with a maximum word count of 128, a batch size of 16, and 5 epochs, transfer learning is conducted with 10,000 training data and 5,000 testing data. A text sentiment binary classification model for Korean movie review with an accuracy of 0.9582, a loss of 0.1177, and an F1 score of 0.81 has been created. As a result of performing transfer learning with a dataset five times larger, a model with an accuracy of 0.9562, a loss of 0.1202, and an F1 score of 0.86 has been generated.
Along with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, natural language processing, which deals with human language, is also actively studied. In particular, BERT, a language model recently proposed by Google, has been performing well in many areas of natural language processing by providing pre-trained model using a large number of corpus. Although BERT supports multilingual model, we should use the pre-trained model using large amounts of Korean corpus because there are limitations when we apply the original pre-trained BERT model directly to Korean. Also, text contains not only vocabulary, grammar, but contextual meanings such as the relation between the front and the rear, and situation. In the existing natural language processing field, research has been conducted mainly on vocabulary or grammatical meaning. Accurate identification of contextual information embedded in text plays an important role in understanding context. Knowledge graphs, which are linked using the relationship of words, have the advantage of being able to learn context easily from computer. In this paper, we propose a system to extract Korean contextual information using pre-trained BERT model with Korean language corpus and knowledge graph. We build models that can extract person, relationship, emotion, space, and time information that is important in the text and validate the proposed system through experiments.
Language Models such as BERT has been an important factor of deep learning-based natural language processing. Pre-training the transformer-based language models would be computationally expensive since they are consist of deep and broad architecture and layers using an attention mechanism and also require huge amount of data to train. Hence, it became mandatory to do fine-tuning large pre-trained language models which are trained by Google or some companies can afford the resources and cost. There are various techniques for fine tuning the language models and this paper examines three techniques, which are data augmentation, tuning the hyper paramters and partly re-constructing the neural networks. For data augmentation, we use no-answer augmentation and back-translation method. Also, some useful combinations of hyper parameters are observed by conducting a number of experiments. Finally, we have GRU, LSTM networks to boost our model performance with adding those networks to BERT pre-trained model. We do fine-tuning the pre-trained korean-based language model through the methods mentioned above and push the F1 score from baseline up to 89.66. Moreover, some failure attempts give us important lessons and tell us the further direction in a good way.

Metaverse services generate text data, data of ubiquitous computing, in real-time to analyze user emotions. Analysis of user emotions is an important task in metaverse services. This study aims to classify user sentiments using deep learning and pre-trained language models based on the transformer structure. Previous studies collected data from a single platform, whereas the current study incorporated the review data as "Metaverse" keyword from the YouTube and Google Play Store platforms for general utilization. As a result, the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) and Robustly optimized BERT approach (RoBERTa) models using the soft voting mechanism achieved a highest accuracy of 88.57%. In addition, the area under the curve (AUC) score of the ensemble model comprising RoBERTa, BERT, and A Lite BERT (ALBERT) was 0.9458. The results demonstrate that the ensemble combined with the RoBERTa model exhibits good performance. Therefore, the RoBERTa model can be applied on platforms that provide metaverse services. The findings contribute to the advancement of natural language processing techniques in metaverse services, which are increasingly important in digital platforms and virtual environments. Overall, this study provides empirical evidence that sentiment analysis using deep learning and pre-trained language models is a promising approach to improving user experiences in metaverse services.
A comment system is essential for communication on the Internet. However, there are also malicious comments such as inappropriate expression of others by exploiting anonymity online. In order to protect users from malicious comments, classification of malicious / normal comments is necessary, and this can be implemented as text classification. Text classification is one of the important topics in natural language processing, and studies using pre-trained models such as BERT and graph structures such as GCN and GAT have been actively conducted. In this study, we implemented a comment classification system using BERT, GCN, and GAT for actual published comments and compared the performance. In this study, the system using the graph-based model showed higher performance than the BERT.
Malicious hate speech and gender bias comments are common in online communities, causing social problems in our society. Gender bias and hate speech detection has been investigated. However, it is difficult because there are diverse ways to express them in words. To solve this problem, we attempted to detect malicious comments in a Korean hate speech dataset constructed in 2020. We explored bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT)-based deep learning models utilizing hyperparameter tuning, data sampling, and logits ensembles with a label distribution. We evaluated our model in Kaggle competitions for gender bias, general bias, and hate speech detection. For gender bias detection, an F1-score of 0.7711 was achieved using an ensemble of the Soongsil-BERT and KcELECTRA models. The general bias task included the gender bias task, and the ensemble model achieved the best F1-score of 0.7166.

MRC (Machine reading comprehension) is the AI NLP task that predict the answer for user's query by understanding of the relevant document and which can be used in automated consult services such as chatbots. Recently, the BERT (Pre-training of Deep Bidirectional Transformers for Language Understanding) model, which shows high performance in various fields of natural language processing, have two phases. First phase is Pre-training the big data of each domain. And second phase is fine-tuning the model for solving each NLP tasks as a prediction. In this paper, we have made the Patent MRC dataset and shown that how to build the patent consultation training data for MRC task. And we propose the method to improve the performance of the MRC task using the Pre-trained Patent-BERT model by the patent consultation corpus and the language processing algorithm suitable for the machine learning of the patent counseling data. As a result of experiment, we show that the performance of the method proposed in this paper is improved to answer the patent counseling query.

In this study, we analyzed the performance of the BERT-based document classification model by automatically classifying documents in the field of library and information science based on the KoBERT. For this purpose, abstract data of 5,357 papers in 7 journals in the field of library and information science were analyzed and evaluated for any difference in the performance of automatic classification according to the size of the learned data. As performance evaluation scales, precision, recall, and F scale were used. As a result of the evaluation, subject areas with large amounts of data and high quality showed a high level of performance with an F scale of 90% or more. On the other hand, if the data quality was low, the similarity with other subject areas was high, and there were few features that were clearly distinguished thematically, a meaningful high-level performance evaluation could not be derived. This study is expected to be used as basic data to suggest the possibility of using a pre-trained learning model to automatically classify the academic documents.
