재래종 쌀보리의 형태적 특성 및 RAPD에 의한 유연 관계 분석 (Evaluation of Morphological Characteristics and RAPD Analysis in Korean Landraces of Naked Barley)

  • 재래종 쌀보리 들은 추파형이며 내한성이 약하고 장간이면서 밀수, 장망으로 출수가 늦은 품종이 많았다. 그러나 파성, 내한성, 출수기, 간장, 수장의 변이가 컸으며, 내한성이 강한 품종, uzu 유전자, 찰성, 자색종피 등 다양한 유용 돌연변이를 보였다. 재래종들의 유연관계를 형태적 특성과 RAPD분석 결과, 112품종 모두 다른 품종으로 밝혀졌으며, 재래종 쌀보리와 겉보리의 유전적 특성을 비교한 결과, 일양성이 인정되어 쌀보리 품종들이 겉보리 재래종으로부터 돌연변이 되었던 것으로 추정할 수 있었다.

As-Te-Si-Ge 유리질 반도체의 전기전도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electrical Conduction of As-Te-Si-Ge Amorphous Semiconductor)

  • As-Te.Si-Ge 유리질 반도체의 직류 펀도도는 실온에서 3x10-7Ω-1cm-1∼1.5x10-8Ω-1cm-1이었고 각 시료의 온도 인화에 따른 전도특성은 상전이 온도(Tg) 이하에서 o=ooexp(-△E/kT)로 표시할 수 있었다. 또한 실온에서 각 시료의 교류 전도도의 주파수 의존도는 거의 같았으며 직류 전도도에 비해 상당치 높게 나타나서 o(w)=oo+Awn으로 표시할 수 있었다. 200KHz 경우에 교류 펀도도는 295。K∼473。K에서 온도에 무관하고 200Hz 경우에는 433。K에서 부터 심하게 증가하였다. 각 시fy는 기억스위칭 현상은 없었고 문지받스위칭 현상만 관찰할 수 있었다. The dc conductivity, ac conductivity and switching effect of As·Te-Si·Ge have beon investigated. The dc conductivity ranged from 3x10-7Ω-1cm-1∼1.5x10-8Ω-1cm-1 at room temperature and was found to be expressed by o=ooexp(-△E/kT) below the phase transition temperature Tg. The ac conductivity was much higher than dc conductivity and this result is consistent to experimental formula o(w)=oo+Awn. In the temperature range of 298。K∼147。K, the ac conductivity was independent of temperature at 200KHs. At lower frequencies the ac conductivity increased strong1y with temperature. Also, it has been found that all samples showed a threshold switching, but not a memory switching.

Multivariate Characterization of Common and Durum Wheat Collections Grown in Korea using Agro-Morphological Traits

  • Developing improved wheat varieties is vital for global food security to meet the rising demand for food. Therefore, assessing the genetic diversity across wheat genotypes is crucial. This study examined the diversity of 168 durum wheat and 47 common wheat collections from 54 different countries using twelve agro-morphological parameters. Geumgang, a prominent Korean common wheat variety, was used as a control. Both qualitative and quantitative agronomical characteristics showed wide variations. Most durum wheats were shown to possess dense spikes (90%), while common wheats showed dense (40%) or loose (38%) spikes, with yellowish-white being the dominant spike color. The majority of the accessions were awned regardless of wheat type, yellowish-white being the main awn color. White or red kernels were produced, with white kernels dominating in both common (74%) and durum (79%) wheats. Days to heading (DH) and days to maturity (DM) were in the ranges of 166-215 and 208-250 days, respectively, while the culm length (CL), spike length (SL), and awn length (AL) were in the ranges of 53.67-163, 5.33-18.67, and 0.50-19.00 cm, respectively. Durum wheats possessed the shortest average DH, DM, and SL, while common wheat had the longest CL and AL (p < 0.05). Common wheats also exhibited the highest average one-thousand-kernel weight. Hierarchical cluster analysis, aided by principal component analysis, grouped the population into seven clusters with significant differences in their quantitative variables (p < 0.05). In conclusion, this research revealed diversity among common and durum wheat genotypes. Notably, 26 durum wheat and 17 common wheat accessions outperformed the control, offering the potential for developing early-maturing, high-yielding, and lodging-resistant wheat varieties.

야간조명 광도에 따른 벼 품종별 생육 및 수량 반응 (Growth and Yield Response of Rice Cultivars to Different Night illumination Intensities)

  • 산업의 발달로 농경지 주변에 야간조명이 증가되고 있어, 야간조명 광도에 따른 벼 생육 반응과 수량의 영향을 구명하고자 조생종인 흑진주벼, 중생중인 화성벼, 중만생종인 일품벼를 공시하여 야간조명 광도 1.0-20.0lux(0.3-5.$1\mu\textrm{W}$ $cm^{-2}$)에서 수행한 시험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 간장과 수장은 야간조명 광도간에 큰 차이가 없었으나, 망장은 야간조명 광도가 높을수록 증가되었고, 특히 화성벼의 망장은 야간조명 광도 2lux 이하에서는 1.93cm이었으나, 10-20 lux에서는 4.09cm로 현저히 길어졌다. 2. 출수는 야간조명 광도가 높을수록 지연이 심하였으며, 품종별로는 야간조명 광도 2 lux 이하에 비하여 10-20 lux에서 흑진주벼는 3일, 화성벼는 5일, 일품벼는 9일이 지연되어, 일품벼 > 화성벼 > 흑진주벼 순으로 지연이 심하였다. 3. $m^2$당 수수는 야간조명 광도가 높을수록 현저하게 감소되어 화성벼와 일품벼는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 4. 쌀 수량은 야간조명 광도 2 lux 이하에 비하여 10-20 lux에서는 조생종인 흑진주벼는 10.0%, 중생종인 화성벼는 17.7%, 중만생종인 일품벼는 20.7%가 감소되었다.

보리호위축병(BaYMV) 이병이 백동 쌀보리의 농업형질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Barley fellow Mosaic Virus (BaYMV) on Agronomic Traits in Naked Barley cv, Baegdong)

  • 보리호위축병(BaYMV) 상습 발병지에서 쌀보리인 백동을 공시하여 건전주와 이병주의 농업형질 등을 비교 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 보리호위축병에 이병된 주는 건전주에 비하여 SPAD 값이 13.7정도 낮은 값을 보였으며, 출수는 10-11일정도 지연이 되었고, 건물중이 75%, 간장은 68%, 수수가 49% 감소하였다. 2. 이병주의 절간장 감소는 이삭을 제외한 상부로부터 제1-6절간에서 나타났으며, 그 중 제3-5절간장에서 감소율이 75-80%로서 가장 켰다. 3. 보리호위축병에 의하여 망장이 17-19%, 입수가 47%, 천립중이 60%, 주당 입중이 78% 감소하였으며, 종실에서는 폭과 두께에서 감소되었고, 종피색의 색도에서는 명도는 낮았으나 적색도는 높게 나타났다.

  • 1. 돌연변이체 DM-1과 DM-2의 간장은 양친인 Dohoku나 대조구인 흑진주벼보다 짧은 반면에 출수기는 7일내지 20일가량 늦어졌다. 2. 이들 DM-1과 DM-2의 수장은 대조구와 비슷하였으나 주당 이삭수는 대조구와 같이 DM-2에서 매우 많았다. 3. 선발된 계통들에 대한 주당 영화수는 대조구보다 적었으나 영색은 갈색내지 짙은 자주색으로 다양한 변이를 보였고 까락길이 역시 변이가 컸다. 4. 안토치안 색소에 대한 공시계통간 차이를 optical density($OD_{530}$)값으로 나타낸 결과 DM-2 변이계통에서 2.23, DM-3 변이계통에서 2.26으로 나타나 대조구인 흑진주벼의 2.59보다 크게 낮았다.

  • 아황산가스에 대한 몇가지 보리 품종들의 반응을 비교 하고자 국내에서 재배되고 있는 8종류의 보리 품종을 pot에 재배하고 closed-top field chamber 내에서 1.0 ppm의 아황산가스를 분얼기와 출수기에 각각 6시간씩 처리하였다. 각 품종간에 처리 시기별로 생육 특성, 수량 구성 요소 및 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 생리적 특성과 내성과의 관계를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 아황산가스에 대한 가시피해율은 품종간에 현저한 차이가 인정되었으며, 처리시기에 따라서는 분얼기가 출수기보다 더욱 심하게 나타났다. 2. 간장과 까락길이는 모든 품종이 분얼기 처리시에서 유의한 감소를, 출수기에 있어서는 약간의 감소를 나타났으며, 절수와 이삭길이는 품종 및 처리간에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 3. 수량 구성 요소중 이삭수, 립수, 1,000중은 분얼기에서 모든 품종이 감소를 보였다. 4. 아황산가스에 의한 보리의 수량에 미치는 영향은 품종 및 처리간에 차이가 인정되었는데 가시피해율과 수량감소율과의 상관관계는 인정되지 않았으나, 감수율에 있어서는 분얼기에서 더욱 심하여 동보리 2호가 내성이 강했고, 두루보리가 약한것으로 나타났다.

조사료원에 따른 한국 재래산양의 채식습성에 관한 연구 (A study on the food habits of Korean native goats fed with roughage sources)

  • The object of this experiment was to investigate the food habits of Korean native goats fed with various roughage sources. The experimental trials were conducted at Unbong Animal Genetic Resources Station in 2008. The experimental roughages include five sources and 25 species in all; grasses and legumes: 5 species (mixed grasses, orchardgrass, tall fescue, alfalfa, white clover), native grasses and weeds: 5 species (mixed native grasses, Miscanthus sinensis Anderss, Arundinella hirta (Thunb.) Tanaka, Barnyard grass, short awn, forage crops and straw: 5 species (barley + hairy vetch, wheat + hairy vetch, rye silage, barley silage, baled rice straw), browse and fallen leaves: 5 species (Mixed browse, Oriental white oak, Quercus serrta Thunb., Oriental cherry fallen leaves, Japanese chestnut fallen leaves), and imported hay and straw: 5 species(timothy hay, tall fescue straw, annual ryegrass straw, klinegrass hay, alfalfa hay). Ten Korean native goats were selected which had nearly the same body weight (average $24{\pm}2.8$ kg). The chemical composition and dry matter digestibility of each roughage source and species were significantly different at the sampling area, plant species, growth stages and cutting period (p<0.05). Among all the 25 species of roughages, the favorite intake species order by Korean native goat was observed like this: Quercus aliena, Querancas serrta Thunb and Mixed browse, which was a lower intake compared to other domestic herbivores. The Korean native goats ate more roughages which had low fibrous contents, but high dry matter digestibility. On the other hand, compared to each roughage source, total intake amount by Korean native goats was showed as browse and fallen leaves (33.1%) among trials roughage sources. Based on these results, the food habit of Korean native goats seems to be closer to the browser.

조사료원에 따른 꽃사슴(Servus nippon)의 채식습성에 관한 연구 (A study on the food habits of Sika Deer (Saanen) fed with roughage sources)

Five sika deer were used as experimental animals and the averaged body weight was 95+5.4kg. The chemical composition and dry matter digestibility of each roughage source and species were significantly different at the sampling area, plant species, growth stages and cutting period(p<0.05). The sika deer ate more roughages which had low fibrous contents, but high dry matter digestibility. Among all the 25 species of roughages, the favorite intake roughage sources ranking by sika deer was observed like this: browse and fallen leaves (32.2%), grass and legumes (27.0%), native grasses and weeds (22.0%), imported hays (12.9%) and forages crops (5.5%) respectively. Although, the sika deer ate more browse leaves, but ate more roughage which had low fibrous contents (NDF and ADF), but high drymatter digestibility. On the other hand, compared to each roughage source, total intake amount by sika deer was showed as browse and fallen leaves (32.2%). Based on the result, the food habit of sika deer seems to be closer to the typical browser.

Analysis of agricultural characteristics and qualities of wheat under high temperature

  • High temperature is one of major environmental stress. Heat in flowering season of wheat is able to effect negatively to fertilization and also heat effect to maturity. Therefore, Heat stress effects severely to qualities of wheat and yield productivity. In this study, we evaluated to agronomic characteristics and qualities by high temperature in 13 Korean wheat varieties. Weight of 1,000 grains decreased when wheat got the heat stress. In particular, heat stress during the heading dates were more damaged than after the end of heading dates except two varieties Keumkang and Jokyoung. Plant height of each cultivar under high temperature and normal field averaged 80.5 cm and 83.0cm, respectively. The length of spike and awn in each cultivar were similar to both condition. Flour yield and gluten contents of most heat damaged wheat decreased. Under the temperature, protein contents of six varieties like as Keumkang, Baekjoong, Hojoong, Yeonbaek, Joah and Shinmichal 1 decreased but the others increased. The sedimentation values (SDSF) of four varieties decreased under the high temperature. But SDSF of 7 varieties like as Baekjung, Suan, Hojoong, Jojoong, Uri, Shinmichal and Shinmichal 1 was increased. The lightness (L) of wheat flour derived from high temperature treated wheat was darker than non-treated wheat. As a result of this research, we confirmed that agricultural traits and qualities decreased in heat damaged wheat.
