The purpose of this study is to enhance elementary students' awareness of environment-friendly life and help them to prepare for a better life in the future. To achieve this purpose we examined the effect typical environmental experience-based learning activities, which were based on the local circumstances with high environmental-educational potential, have on the attitudes toward environment-friendly life. This study was carried out on the basis of typical environmental experience-based learning in the small class size. The research group used was composed of one sixth grade elementary school class called Sangroksu, whose total students were 9. The research period lasted from March 2005 to February 2006. To analyze the result of this study, two research methods were applied simultaneously : quantitative research methods and qualitative research methods. Especially statistical analysis in quantitative research methods by self-administrated questionnaire was done with SAS program. Qualitative research methods were analyzed in a cyclic pattern, including the processes of domain analysis, classification analysis, and factor analysis which continued to be associated with data-collecting methods. This research shows the following results. First of all, students have shown meaningful differences after typical environmental experience-based learning activities.(p<.05). Followings are fields of the differences - students‘ interest on the subject, their understanding levels of necessity for basic environmental facilities around us as well as for the kinds of environmental experience-based learning, awareness levels of various environmental problems, consciousness on environment conservation, and the practicing ability of environment - friendly lifestyles. Secondly, We have discovered improvements in the following fields after this study - the knowledge and understanding levels on our environment and human relationships, students' fundamental abilities to work out environmental problems, right ideas and appropriate attitudes on environment protection, the practicing ability of environment-friendly life styles, and their parents' understanding levels on the education related to environment. The quality of education is determined by the quality of teachers, and in particular the competence of principals is important for the desirable flow of schooling. The Principal employment system was adopted as one of the educational reforms introduced by the government. However, even though it has been 10 years since the enactment of PES, the perception of that has been low. To solve this, first, government should be more active in promoting publicity for the principal. Second, the elected principal should not be concentrated only in small areas, but should spread to urban areas. Finally, principals must increase the rate at which practitioners are able to contribute substantially to public subscriptions.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the current status of elementary pre-service teachers' concern on SW education using the Concern-Based Adoption Model, and to investigate issues to be considered in pre-service teacher education. The participants were 137 senior students enrolled in a university of education. A survey was conducted using the Stages of Concerns Questionnaire(SoCQ). Elementary pre-service teachers' concern on SW education was turned out to be the highest at the awareness stage, and the lowest at the consequence stage, and thus showed the 'nonuser' pattern. It also showed a 'positive nonuser' pattern by indicating a little more concern at the collaboration and refocusing stages than the consequence stage concerning the impact of SW education. In addition, no significant difference was found according to pre-service teachers' gender. In comparison with that, significant differences were found according to their programming level at the awareness, personal, consequence and collaboration stages. Based on the results of the research, suggestions were made for the improvement of the pre-service teachers' SW education program concerning the presentation of related information and the enhancement of programming capabilities.

This paper develops the argument that the 'Healthy Cities Approach' extends beyond the boundaries of officially designated Healthy Cities and suggests that signs of it are evident much more widely in efforts to promote health in the United Kingdom and in national policy. It draws on examples from Leeds, a major city in the north of England. In particular, it suggests that efforts to improve population health need to focus on the wider determinants and that this requires a collaborative response involving a range of different sectors and the participation of the community. Inequality is recognised as a major issue and the need to identify areas of deprivation and direct resources towards these is emphasised. Childhood poverty is referred to and the importance of breaking cycles of deprivation. The role of the school is seen as important in contributing to health generally and the compatibility between Healthy Cities and Health Promoting Schools is noted. Not only can Health Promoting Schools improve the health of young people themselves they can also develop the skills, awareness and motivation to improve the health of the community. Using child pedestrian injury as an example, the paper argues that problems and their cause should not be conceived narrowly. The Healthy Cities movement has taught us that the response, if it is to be effective, should focus on the wider determinants and be adapted to local circumstances. Instead of simply attempting to change behaviour through traditional health education we need to ensure that the environment is healthy in itself and supports healthy behaviour. To achieve this we need to develop awareness, skills and motivation among policy makers, professionals and the community The 'New Health' education is proposed as a term to distinguish the type of health education which addresses these issues from more traditional forms.
Purpose: An exercise program, which was composed of motions simple and easy to follow, was developed and applied to aged women as a way to improve their health conditions. Method: To ascertain the effects of the exercise, which was conducted twice a week and 16 times in total for 8 weeks from September 10 to November 5, 2005 in two experimental groups (31 Persons) and a control group (31 persons), this study conducted quasi-experiments of nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. Data were analyzed using SPSS/PC Win 10.0, the reliability of the measuring tools using Cronbach's alpha, the verification of equivalence for general properties and dependent variables using Chi-square test and t-test, and the verification of hypotheses using t-test and ANCOVA. Results: After the exercise program. the aged women showed profitable evaluation of decisional balance, high feeling of self-efficacy as well as improved subjective awareness of health. Their diastolic blood pressure and total cholesterol were also reduced significantly after the exercise. Conclusion: After the conduct of the exercise program for 8 weeks, aged women showed increased profitable decisional balance, self-efficacy and subjective awareness of health. This suggests that continuous and proper exercise is effective as an intervention for health improvement for the aged as well as the prevention of and recovery from geriatric diseases.
The purpose of this study was to develop a sexuality education program for early adolescents. The overall goals of the program were to not only increase knowledge and skirts, but also to improve the awareness of healthy sex in order to promote premarital abstinence, parent-teen communication and parental awareness of the importance of parental roles and responsibilities in prevention of sexual problems of the early adolescent. The program consisted of six sessions: puberty changes during adolescence, the meaning of sexuality, sexual drives in dating relationships, understanding of the risks associated with early sexual involvement and support for postponing sexual activities, managing and avoiding sexually risky situations, the importance of communications with parents about issues related to sexuality. The program evaluation had three steps: pre-test, immediate post-test and two month follow-up post test. The results showed that the program had a significantly positive effect on the improvement of adolescent's knowledge about sex, and attitudes and behaviors toward sex, particularly in the immediate post-test. At the two month follow-up assessment, the effect of the program still remained strong, though there was a sight and partial reduction which was not statistically significant. Most of the program participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the program. Parental involvement appeared to be effective as well. Recommendations for further study include: to re-evaluate the curriculum for various other participants. In addition, further study which would compare post-test results of these participants with a comparison group of peers who did not receive the program would be valuable. The author believes that the program can be used in implementing specific subjects (sessions) in new settings, as well as implementing the entire package of the program.
This study was designed to prepare measures for future development and growth of local cosmetics industry by examining awareness, purchasing behaviors and satisfaction of beauty professionals with regard to Korean brand mask packs that have recently created a big trend in the beauty market. According to the results of survey, 80.6 percent of the respondents said that the most important factor in buying a mask pack was 'effect,' and as for the needed improvement of mask packs, 33.7 percent responded 'effect,' indicating that consumers still find the function of a product is unreliable. In addition, the respondents said that 'K-beauty effect' was the reason why mask packs were highly popular abroad, especially in China, and items that can promote beauty market were also said to be 'K-beauty advertising and promotion,' so it is believed that a good impression of K-culture rather than its own efficacy or reliability is leading to the present results. Therefore, K-beauty industry is expected to grow further in the global market if domestic and abroad consumers' confidence on the product is gained through the development of superior products that have improved effect and usability.
