The Riparian Buffer Zone(RBZ) is a sustainable social-ecological system created in the middle zone between water and land. For the RBZ, close communication with the local community is important, and it is necessary to promote it as a communicative environmental planning process. In this study, for the RBZ project, three strategies are presented as a communicative act to understand and implement planning. First, government-led projects were avoided and improved to a process in which citizens and stakeholders participated together, centered on local partnership. Second, it was intended to introduce design criterias in terms of enhancing the function of ecosystem services that citizens can sympathize with, and to increase acceptance and awareness through the planning of preferred spaces and facilities. Third, after a balanced plan for habitats, water cycle-based ecological environment, ecological experience and open space, citizens felt the restoration effect and value as an ecological resources, and a system was prepared to participate in the operation and management. This study will work as a process model based on citizens's participation. In addition, it will be possible to provide lessons for the change of the policy paradigm for the RBZ and the implementation of similar projects in the future.

The debate of South-North transboundary rivers must be expanded from the existing cooperation in water resources towards cooperation within ecosystem conservation. Regarding the Han and Imjin rivers confluence water system, the nature of the estuarine ecosystem must be conserved considering the aspect of climate change. Furthermore, the agenda of maintaining continuous inter-Korean communication and cooperation should focus on ecosystem conservation, including conserving migratory species that inhabit both Koreas. Notably, within the Han and Imjin rivers confluence, transboundary rivers are abundant legally protected species such as Grus vipio, Anser fabalis, Anser cygnoides, Platalea minor, Lutra lutra, Prionailurus bengalensis which suggests a strong need for a debate regarding habitat conservation. This study analyzed the ecosystem conditions and environmental aspects within the confluence of Han and Imjin rivers. In addition, this study provided step wise approach of ecosystem conservation that consider conditions for potential direct inter-Korean cooperation. The inter-Korean cooperation mentioned in this study will be developed into legitimate cooperation once the results from monitoring the ecosystem of transboundary rivers, awareness raising are exchanged.

Currently, overall power usage is also increasing as power demand such as homes, offices, and factories increases. The increase in power use also raised interest in standby power as a change in awareness of energy saving appeared. Home and office devices are consuming power even in standby conditions. Accordingly, there is a growing need to reduce standby power, and it aims to have standby power of 1W or less. An intelligent outlet uses a near-field wireless network to connect to a home network and cut or reduce standby power of a lamp or appliance connected to an outlet. This research aims to develop a monitoring system and an intelligent outlet that can remotely monitor the amount of electricity used in a lighting lamp or a home appliance connected to an outlet using a short-range wireless network (Zigbee). Also, The intelligent outlet and monitoring system developed makes it possible for a user to easily cut off standby power by using a portable device. Intelligent outlets will not only reduce standby power but also be applicable to fire prevention systems. Devices that cut off standby power include intelligent outlets and standby power cutoff switches, so they will prevent short circuits and fires.

This study aims to provide a theoretical examination of symmetry and its implications for science education. For this purpose, first, we examined the way of thinking of Western science in general through ancient Greek scholars. Second, we divided the perception of symmetry into ancient and modern times. Third, we draw out the implications for science education. The results of this study show that, first, the way of thinking in Western science is 'abstraction', which began with Parmenides and was established by Plato. Second, the ancient perception of symmetry is symmetry as beautiful proportions and harmony based on abstraction, and the modern perception of symmetry is symmetry as an invariant perspective based on abstraction that seeks to find constancy in change. We examined Eratosthenes' experiment to measure the circumference of the earth as an example of ancient symmetry, and Galilean relativity or transformation as examples of modern symmetry. Third, the implications for science education are as follows. Awareness of symmetry can help educate students about the nature of science, as it is a central theme that runs through ancient and modern science. Second, the Eratosthenes' experiment and Galilean relativity or transformations are not represented in the 2022 revised curriculum, but could support understanding of science and key competencies and concepts. Finally, an integrated approach to science education centered on symmetry can have a positive impact on scientific attitudes and interest.

This study is to examine the current situation of Korean sports culture and seek its pointing spot and alternatives to its advancement. First, out of the current situation of Korean sports culture, that of school physical education, even though it is the most significant basis for sports culture, is riddled with so many contradictions that the pace of its change is very slow. Only when the elite sport is normally operated and well coordinated, can it have the value of existence as a stable field. The mass sports have been determined to have insufficient self-reliance of sport facilities, sport programs and instructor management since the national policy for physical education has been focused on the elite sports. Second, internalization of "Winning First Policy" as a pointing spot of sports culture has been found to be an production of the value system with not only a very passive tendency caused by political changes. Accordingly, the concept of sports-culturism has been introduced as a new pointing spot of sports culture and then it has been emphasized that the sports-culturism is the awareness of sports advancement. Third, in terms of finding any alternatives to sports culture, enacting a school physical education promotion law has a very significant meaning as its advancement method. Next, the immorality of and match-fixing by sport organizations and the umpire's bad call have been mentioned as major problems to the elite sport, and also the alternative to each field has been set. Last, it has been assented with emphasis that Law of Sports for All should be enacted for the public sports to have any significance of the times.

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of early childhood teachers on ecological art activities oriented to education for sustainable development. The research results are as follows. First, Early childhood teachers recognized the visual art of natural media, the pursuit of community values, and the participation and communication of social members as educational significance of ecological art activities. And difficulties in practicing ecological art were recognized as lack of educational environment, lack of ecological art teaching materials and specific examples, and teachers' lack of understanding of ecological art. Also, they recognized that ecological art activities foster core competencies in art experience area, such as nature-friendly communication skills, eco-friendly sensibility, and creative convergence skills. Second, regarding ecological art activities and sustainable development education, early childhood teachers considered the difficulties in practice as lack of awareness about sustainable development, lack of play meia and materials, lack of educational policies and support, and insufficient teacher training programs. Also, regarding the SDGs that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers were found to be highly aware of 'grow affordable and clean energy', 'improve clean water and sanitation', 'provide quality education' in the order. In the contents of education for sustainable development that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers are given the order of 'climate change response', 'clean energy', 'water and sanitation', 'quality education', 'health and well-being' and 'marine ecosystem'. was highly recognized. If an ecological art activity program is developed, the rate of responding that it will be used is high, so it is considered that the development of an ESD-oriented ecological art activity program is urgent.

In the wake of the radical structural change of the society, problems in family support for the old aged have arisen. Against this backdrop, the aim of this study was to examine aspects of the conflicts in family support focusing on novels by Park Wan-seo, and to analyze the expression of the family support awareness within the social consciousness. The recent development of industrial marketing explains the near absence of research on brand equity in business-to-business markets. With recent change, industrial companies have shifted from a production focus to a customer focus. Industrial brand concept is rapidly developing. The basic purpose of this study is to investigate industrial brand equity affecting the result of business relationship between industrial buyers and suppliers. This research presented a comprehensive constructive model consisting of components of industrial brand equity, and then propose the research model base on prior researches and studies about relationships among components of industrial brand equity. Data were gathered from respondents who work in industrial buying center. For this study, Data were analyzed by SPSS 11.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results of this research analysis were as fallow. Industrial brand loyalty was positively related with perceived value, perceived quality, brand awareness, relationship satisfaction, switching cost, relationship commitment. Also, Industrial corporate performance and purchasing value was positively related with brand loyalty and relationship commitment.

We aimed to revise and supplement the art therapy kit based on the findings of a review of women's experiences participating in the art therapy kit in the 2030s. After women in their 2030s experienced the developed art therapy kit for one month, we organized two homogeneous groups of 8 art psychotherapy majors and 5 non-majors to collect data through focus group interviews and analyzed them using grounded theory methods. In the end, 100 converted meaning units, 16 subcomponents, and 5 components were derived. There is a lack of research on the development and experience of art or art therapy-based kits in Korea, so it is important for us to provide basic data on the experience of art therapy kits. In addition, the study participants experienced insights into themselves and their emotions based on the accumulated art therapy kit outputs through immersion in emotion exploration and recognition, and these experiences led to the participants' recognition of the need and value of developing art therapy kits. The individual and unique outcomes of the art therapy kits became evidence of self-awareness, confirming the therapeutic effectiveness of art therapy kits as a tool for emotion exploration and recognition and for emotional change and resolution.

Acute necrotizing encephalopathy (ANE) is a rare immune-mediated complication of a viral infection commonly involving the bilateral thalamus and has been reported mainly in children. Here, we describe the MRI findings of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-associated ANE in two pediatric patients, including a 7-year-old girl with fever and mental change, and a 6-year-old girl with fever and generalized seizures. Brain MRI revealed symmetrical T2 fluid attenuated inversion recovery high-signal intensity lesions in the bilateral thalamus with central hemorrhage. In one patient, the thalamic lesions showed a tri-laminar pattern on the apparent diffusion coefficient map. This report emphasizes the importance of creating awareness regarding these findings in patients with COVID-19, particularly in children with severe neurological symptoms. Furthermore, it provides a literature review of several documented cases of COVID-19 presenting with bilateral thalamic hemorrhagic necrosis, suggesting a diagnosis of ANE.
