베이비붐 세대의 성인기 자녀에 대한 자원 제공과 노후 준비에 관한 연구 (Baby boomers' resource transfer of their adult children and level of later-life preparation)

  • This study aimed to investigate resource transfer for baby boomers' adult children and related factors pertaining to baby boomers' later-life preparation. This study was conducted in 2016 using written questionnaires completed by 405 baby boomers residing in Seoul and metropolitan cities in South Korea. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 and the following statistical methods: frequency, percentiles, the mean, standard deviation, a t-test, one-way ANOVA, Cronbach's alpha, and hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis. Baby boomers' average level of later-life preparation was found to be 3.45/5, a relatively rational score. Baby boomers tended to transfer more resource from their adult children when they had many adult children, were more satisfied with their romantic relationship. Baby boomers' level of later-life preparation was higher when there was lesser resource transfer of their adult children. The greatest influential variables pertaining to the respondents' later-life preparation were their family's income, children's marital status, satisfaction with their romantic relationship, and level of transfer from their adult children. It was concluded that baby boomers have insufficient later-life preparation in terms of finances due to their need to support their adult children; thus, nation-wide practical programs are needed to prepare baby boomers for a happy life.

  • As the range of the customer choice becomes more diverse, the average life span of companies' products and services is becoming shorter. Most companies are striving to maximize the revenue by understanding the customer's needs and providing customized products and services. However, companies had to bear a significant burden, in terms of the time and cost involved in the process of determining each individual customer's needs. Therefore, an alternative method is employed that involves grouping the customers into different categories based on certain criteria and establishing a marketing strategy tailored for each group. In this way, customer segmentation and customer clustering are performed using demographic information and behavioral information. Demographic information included sex, age, income level, and etc., while behavioral information was usually identified indirectly through customers' purchase history and search history. However, there is a limitation regarding companies' customer behavioral information, because the information is usually obtained through the limited data provided by a customer on a company's website. This is because the pattern indicated when a customer accesses a particular site might not be representative of the general tendency of that customer. Therefore, in this study, rather than the pattern indicated through a particular site, a customer's interest is identified using that customer's access record pertaining to external news. Hence, by utilizing this method, we proposed a methodology to perform customer segmentation. In addition, by extracting the main issues through a topic analysis covering approximately 3,000 Internet news articles, the actual experiment applying customer segmentation is performed and the applicability of the proposed methodology is analyzed.

초등학생의 스마트폰 중독 실태 및 위험 분석 (Analysis of Smartphone Addiction Status and Risk among Elementary Students)

  • 최근 증대한 성인 및 청소년의 스마트폰 중독 문제에 대해 본 연구에서는 기존에 다소 소홀히 다루어졌던 초등 고학년생들의 스마트폰 중독 실태를 다양한 인구통계학적 요소에 따라 조사하였다. 설문 조사는 경기도 소재 학교의 4~6학년생 1570명을 대상으로 실시되었고, 조사 결과, 첫째, 스마트폰 평균보유율은 약 66%이었다. 둘째, 약 1%의 학생들이 고위험 사용자군에 속하였고, 잠재위험군 5.7%, 일반 사용자군은 93.3%이었다. 셋째, 인구통계학적 요소에서 학년, 학업성적 각각과 중독 사용자군의 상관이 유의하였다. 즉, 부진한 성적일수록, 또는 학년이 오를수록 중독 가능성이 매우 높았다. 넷째, 잠재위험군과 일반군 학생들 모두 대도시, 남학생, 6학년, 맞벌이 부모의 경우에 더욱 중독 점수가 높았다. 반대로 가정경제와 학업성적 측면에서는 잠재위험군은 풍족한 가정과 우수한 성적인 경우 중독성이 더욱 높았으나, 일반군은 빈곤 기정, 부진한 성적인 경우에 더욱 높은 점수를 나타내었다.

통근비용절감을 통한 서울근교도시 거주자의 주택구입능력 개선효과 (The Improvement of Housing Affordability by Transportation Savings in the Suburbs of Seoul Metropolitan)

  • This study has analyzed the effect of the housing affordability improvement of the residents in the metropolitan areas, applying Transit Supportive Home Loan (TSHL) which extends the loan amount according to the transportation cost saving based on Location Efficiency Mortgage (LEM) System in the USA. The previous studies focused on introducing LEM system to Korea, whereas this study has analyzed TSHL effect for the first time, taking into account the situation in Korea. For analysis, The Transportation Savings (TS) is calculated and Housing Affordability Index (HAI) is drawn by applying increased TS and DTI (Debt to Income), so the improvements of housing purchasing ability is examined by HAI's improvement. As a result, transit commute 1 (having own car) and transit commute 2 (without having own cars) respectively produce the TS of monthly average 36 thousand won and 110 thousand won in comparison with car using commute. Each additional loan (TSHL) amounts to 16.57 million won and 54.07 million won. As the distance is farther and the house price cheaper, the improvement of HAI is more outstanding. City hall area showed the highest improvements of HAI by 9.3% (transit commute 1) and 21.9% (transit commute 2) increase, in comparison with car using commute.

청소년의 구매 행동과 관련 변인에 관한 연구 -강원 지역 중학생을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Adolescents′ Purchasing Behavior and Related Variables- Focused on the Middle School Students in Kangwon Province -)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the level of purchasing behavior and related variables of Korean adolescents in Kangwon Province. and to suggest a direction of consumer education for rational purchase and of Home Economics Education. through noticing the influence of socio-demographic variables and socialization-related variables. To find out the results of this study, a survey was made using questionnaires with middle school students who live in Kang-won Province. and 472 Questionnaires were used as the analysis data. The methods of statistical analysis used for this study were Cronbach' ${\alpha}$. Frequency Distribution, Percentile. Mean. Standard Deviation. ANOVA, t-test. Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Multiple Regression Analysis. and also SPSS PC+ was used. The summaries of the results of this study were as follows. First. the level of the adolescents'purchasing behavior was the average 3.34 which is higher than the centered number 3, and the level of pre-Purchasing behavior(3.36) was higher than that of the post-purchasing behavior (3.27). Second. the adolescents' purchasing behavior showed the significant difference according to the mothers' educational level and family income. Third among the socialization-related variables. the group which had much communications with their parents and friends about purchase. the group which got much consumer education in school and their home. the group which can see much advertisements about purchase showed high level of purchasing behavior. Fourth. in the regression analysis. the consumer education in school. the communication with parents or friends were significant variables to the level of purchasing behavior. Looking into the subcategory. the communication with parents. the amount of pocket money. the father's occupation were significant variables to the level of pre-purchasing behavior, And the consumer education in school. the communication with parents or friends. the father's occupation were significant variables to the level of post-purchasing behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of family-friendly life environment factors including local community's living environment satisfaction (safety, convenience, comfort, accessibility, exchange of neighbor satisfaction), family support facility satisfaction, family support program satisfaction and nurture and education environment satisfaction, and local community's living information accessibility on the effect of multiple roles of married men and women with children. Data were collected from 380 married men and women with children located Seoul, GyeongGi-Do, ChungCheongBuk-Do, and KyungSangNam-Do. The results show that, first of all, related to general trend of role satisfaction and role strain, the subjects have higher experience of role satisfaction than role strain. Secondly, the variables of social demography, such as monthly income, non-regular full-time working system, white collar occupation, number of children and level of education, and living environment variables, such as satisfaction of living environment stability and satisfaction of neighbor exchange in living environment were significantly related to role strain. Thirdly, social demography variables, such as average monthly earnings, gender (male), non-regular part-time working system, satisfaction of stability in living environment, and satisfaction of convenience in living environment were significantly related to role strain.

가족공유 가사노동시간 및 영향요인 연구 (Time Use of Family Housework and the Influencing Factors on It)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the family sharing time of housework and to examine the sharing time with family is influenced by socio-demographic variables. The Time Use Survey data collected by Korean National Statistical Office in 2009 is used. Among the total sample of 21,000 individuals, 9,179 samples who are married, aged from 20 to 59 years old and non-farmers are selected for analysis. The statistical methods are frequency, percentage, crosstabulation, t-test, and regression analysis. The following is a summary of the major findings. First, comparison of men and women shows women spend more time on housework than men do. But sharing housework time with family for men increase on Sunday. Performer average is almost same in men and women. Secondly, the family sharing time on housework is longer on Sunday. It is due to increase of men's family sharing time. It means that men's time substitute for women's housework. Thirdly, the influencing factors on family sharing housework are gender, age, education, presence of spouses, monthly income, dual earner status, weekly working hours, gender role atittude and presence of preschoolers. Family sharing housework is not only household labor but also family pleasure time. It means family policy should focus on making family time for workers fundamentally. And family policy needs to make a system of educational program for work-family balance.

남성 패션라이프스타일에 따른 세분집단별 화장품 구매행동 비교 (Cosmetics Purchasing Behavior of Males Based on the Fashion Life Style)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify male consumer groups according to the fashion lifestyle, to examine characteristics, needs and wants of each group, and to find out differences of cosmetics purchasing behavior among each group segment. After surveying 19-50 year old males by making a visit to college, company and home, 584 samples were analyzed by using SPSS(7.0) package program. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, crosstabs and $X^2-test$ were used to analyse collected data. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Twenty-two questionnaires using AIO fashion lifestyle variables produced seven factors; oriented fashion, flaunting brand preference, active preference, information intention, strong personality, reasonable economy and others directivity. Three groups based on oriented seven factors: personality, fashion and economy. 2. The Personality group had strong personal characters in their fashion. Men in this group prefer casual style and were represented by singles and professionals in their 30's. The fashion group pursued fashion trends, formal wears, and high-priced fashions. They were represented by singles with high-income managerial positions in their 19-29 age group. The economy group represented the largest sample in this study(54.5%). Men in this group tended to purchase fashion goods during of good fabrics at discount stores. This group represented married man with average incomes in their 40's. 3. Each of these three groups showed significant differences in cosmetics purchasing behavior. The personality group mainly purchased cosmetics on-line market because of price. The Internet tended to be their primary source of informations. They spent under 10,000won and pursued a simple and clear image. The fashion group purchased cosmetics at department stores to benefit from the knowledge of sales personal and their source of informations in the mass media. They spent over 70,000won monthly and pursued also a simple and clear image. The economy group purchased cosmetics at discount stores because of their wide assortment of products. They spent under 30,000won monthly and pursued a simple and clear image. Each of these groups currently consume different products and have a different concept of future cosmetic products.

예비치매 부양자의 재가서비스 이용에 관한 연구 -치매특별등급(5등급) 중심으로 (A Study on the Intention to Use Community Care Service by Pre-Caregivers Based on Dementia Under the Long-Term Care Insurance System for the Aged -Special dementia rating (5 rates) in the focus)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data regarding the intention to use community care service based on special grading for dementia in the South Korean Society. Methods. A survey was conducted using a questionnaire adapted on the basis of literature review regarding the first to fourth grade under the long-term care insurance system for the aged from May 1 to 30, 2015 and a total of 272 questionnaires were statistically processed using SPSS 21.0. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and cross-tabulation analysis were performed. The non-parametric type of test, ${\chi}^2$ test, was used for statistical testing. Results. This study obtained the following results: First, caregivers had greater intention to ask recipients to use daytime and nighttime care service. Second, there were statistically significant differences in caregivers' education, occupation, monthly average income, co-residence status, intimacy, and care-giving burden (emotional, financial, and social) and recipients' activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, mental health status, dementia status, and intention to use community care service based on special grading for dementia. Conclusions. There are very few statistical data and academic materials regarding special grading for dementia, which has recently been established. The results of this study are therefore expected to help make a systematic analysis of the intention to use community care service by caregivers based on special grading for dementia.

간호대학생의 자아존중감, 전공만족도가 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The influencing factors of Self-esteem and Major Satisfaction on College Adjustment among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생들을 대상으로 자아존중감, 전공만족도가 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 조사연구이다. 연구 대상자는 간호대학에 재학중인 182명의 학생이었으며 연구는 2013년 11월 15일부터 부터 2013년 12월 20일까지 실시되었다. 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 간호대학생의 자아존중감, 전공만족도와 대학생활적응을 조사하였으며, SPSS/WIN 20.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호대학생의 자아존중감은 2.65점으로 중간이상의 점수를 나타냈으며, 전공만족도는 3.43점, 대학생활 적응 정도는 3.14점으로 나타났다. 대학생활적응 점수는 학년별, 성별, 동아리 활동, 한달 용돈 정도에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 대학생활적응은 자아존중감이 높을수록 전공만족도가 높을수록 대학생활적응 점수가 높았다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호대학생들의 대학생활적응을 향상시키고 간호 전문직인으로의 가치관과 자부심을 양성해내기 위해서는 적절한 학업지도 및 교과과정을 통한 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용해 나가는 연구가 필요하다.
