무선 애드혹 네트워크를 위한 위치정보 기반 기울기 라우팅 알고리즘 (A Location Information-based Gradient Routing Algorithm for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 애드혹 네트워크에서 센서 노드들의 물리적 위치정보를 기반으로 라우팅 경로를 설정하기 위한 LIGR (Location Information-based Gradient Routing) 알고리즘을 제안한다. LIGR 알고리즘은 물리적 위치정보를 이용하여 소스 노드와 싱크 노드를 잇는 직선의 기울기를 통해 전송 방향과 탐색 범위를 결정함으로써 불필요한 데이터 전송과 경로 탐색 시간 및 전파 지연 시간을 감소시킨다. 또한 포워딩 노드 선택 시 배터리 부족 노드는 2순위 또는 3순위의 우선순위를 갖도록 하여 우선적으로 선택하지 않도록 함으로써 에너지 부족 노드가 네트워크상에서 라우터로서의 기능 수행보다는 데이터 수집을 위한 호스트로서의 기능을 수행하도록 하였다. LGR (Logical Grid Routing) 프로토콜에 비하여 LIGR 알고리즘은 평균 수신율, 평균 지연시간, 평균 잔여 에너지 및 네트워크 처리율에서 개선된 성능을 보였다.

  • 본 논문은 사람의 중기 염색체로 이루어진 디지털 이미지에서 Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN) 모델로 염색체 객체를 검출할 때 필요한 경사 하강 최적화기의 성능을 비교한다. Faster R-CNN의 경사 하강 최적화기는 Region Proposal Network(RPN) 모듈과 분류 점수 및 바운딩 박스 예측 블록의 목적 함수를 최소화하기 위해 사용된다. 실험에서는 이러한 네 가지 경사 하강 최적화기의 성능을 비교하였으며 VGG16이 기본 네트워크인 Faster R-CNN 모델은 Adamax 최적화기가 약 52%의 Mean Average Precision(mAP)를 달성하였고 ResNet50이 기본 네트워크인 Faster R-CNN 모델은 Adadelta 최적화기가 약 58%의 mAP를 달성하였다.

MR 영상에서 정규화된 기울기 크기 영상을 이용한 자동 간 분할 기법 (Automatic Liver Segmentation Method on MR Images using Normalized Gradient Magnitude Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 자기 공명 영상에서 고속의 간 분할 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 MR 영상을 정규화된 기울기 크기 정보를 바탕으로 효율적으로 객체와 경계로 구분한다. 다음으로 간 영역에 해당하는 객체를 직전에 분할된 슬라이스의 간 영역에서 추출된 씨앗점들로 2차원 씨앗점 영역 성장법을 이용하여 검출한다. 마지막으로 롤링 볼 알고리즘과 연결 요소 분석 기법을 사용하여 간 경계 부근의 위양성 오차를 최소화한다. 20명의 환자 데이터에 대하여 제안 기법으로 분할한 결과와 수작업으로 분할한 결과를 비교하여 정확성을 검증하였다. 평균 볼륨 오버랩 오차 5.2%였고, 평균 절대값 볼륨 측정 오차는 1.9%였다. 제안 기법으로 한 환자 데이터를 분할하는 데 소요되는 평균 시간은 약 3초 정도였다. 제안 기법은 빠르고, 정확한 간 분할을 필요로 하는 컴퓨터 보조 간 진단 기법에 사용될 수 있다.

증감지와 필름에 따른 방사선상 변화에 대한 연구 (THE COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF FILM-SCREEN COMBINATIONS)

  • This study was to compare the quality of image by different screen and film combinations. Using the sensitometer measured the speed and average gradient of blue sensitive films and orthochromatic films. The films was combined with rare earth screen LR, LM, LF and conventional screen OM, OH, XOR, OKa and exposed the step wedge to impulse 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 15, 24,3 8, 60 and measured the density. The following results were obtained: 1. The density of film and film-screen combinations showed significant difference, then in film-screen combinations was significantly different by the screens than films. 2. The speed of blue sensitive films was little different, the TMG of orthochromatic films produced high speed, and the AX film was high average gradient. 3. The relative speed of film-screen combinations showed significant difference, and was high in the OKa of the conventional screens and in the LR of the rare earth screens, especially that of LR screen in the combination with blue sensitive films was high. 4. The average gradient of film-screen combinations showed no significant difference, and was high in the OKa screen and LR/OG combination, and that of OKa/AX combination was highest. 5. The latitude of film-screen combinations showed significant difference by screens, and was high in the LM screen in combination with blue sensitive films and in the OM screen in combination with orthochromatic films. 6. The subject contrast of film-screen combinations showed significant difference by screen, and was high in the LR screen in combination with blue sensitive AX film and orthochromatic TMG film.

COLOR CORRECTION METHOD USING GRAY GRADIENT BAR FOR MULTI-VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM

  • Due to the different camera properties of the multi-view camera system, the color properties of captured images can be inconsistent. This inconsistency makes post-processing such as depth estimation, view synthesis and compression difficult. In this paper, the method to correct the different color properties of multi-view images is proposed. We utilize a gray gradient bar on a display device to extract the color sensitivity property of the camera and calculate a look-up table based on the sensitivity property. The colors in the target image are converted by mapping technique referring to the look-up table. Proposed algorithm shows the good subjective results and reduces the mean absolute error among the color values of multi-view images by 72% on average in experimental results.

  • Surface depression in the arc welding is calculated numerically to analyze its influence on pool convection and oscillation. The magnitude of surface depression due to arc pressure on the stationary GTA pool surface is relatively small, and fluctuations of the surface and velocity are caused mainly by arc pressure. The inward flow on the surface due to the electromagnetic force and positive surface tension gradient acts to decrease surface depression. Surface depression appears to have minor effects on average flow velocity and thus pool geometry. Pool oscillation occurs due to surface vibration, and oscillation frequencies are affected mainly by the surface tension and pool width. The input parameters such as arc pressure and current have negligible effects on the oscillation frequency, and the surface tension gradient has limited effects. Since the oscillation frequency varies slightly according to penetration, pool oscillation for the partial penetration weld pool is applicable to monitor the pool width.

원영상의 기울기 성형을 이용한 경계강조 오차확산법 (Edge Enhanced Error Diffusion based on Gradient Shaping of Original Image)

  • The error diffusion algorithm is good for reproducing continuous images to binary images. However the reproduction of edge characteristics is weak in power spectrum an analysis of display error. In this paper an edge enhanced error diffusion method is proposed to improve the edge characteristic enhancement. Spatial gradient information in original image is adapted for edge enhance in threshold modulation of error diffusion. First the horizontal and vertical second order differential values are obtained from the gradient of peripheral pixels(3x3) in original image. second weighting function is composed by function including absolute value and sign of second order differential values. The proposed method presents a good visual results which edge characteristics is enhanced. The performance of the proposed method is compared with that of the conventional edge enhanced error diffusion by measuring the edge correlation and the local average accordance over a range of viewing distances and the RAPSD of display error.

Numerical simulation of slit wall effect on the Taylor vortex flow with radial temperature gradient

  • Numerical simulation was applied to investigate the Taylor vortex flow inside the concentric cylinders with a constant radial temperature gradient. The reliability of numerical simulation method was verified by the experimental results of PIV. The radial velocity and temperature distribution in plain and 12-slit model at different axial locations were compared, and the heat flux distributions along the inner cylinder wall at different work conditions were obtained. In the plain model, the average surface heat flux of inner cylinder increased with the inner cylinder rotation speed. In slit model, the slit wall significantly changed the distribution of flow field and temperature in the annulus gap, and the radial flow was strengthen obviously, which promoted the heat transfer process at the same working condition.

  • 본 논문에서는 기울기 기반 빠른 정상점 탐색 방법론을 제시하고 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시한다. 제안하는 방법론은 유한 구간에서 단봉 그래프를 가지는 함수의 정상점(최대치)을 최대한 적은 수의 함수값을 참조하여 찾는 문제에 대한 솔루션으로, 대표적인 적용분야로는 자동초점이 있다. 우리는 정상점 탐색을 위해 주기적 탐색, 기울기 기반 탐색, 상세 탐색과 같이 세가지 탐색 전략을 통해 정상점을 찾는다. 노이즈가 첨가된 가우시안 함수를 발생시켜 시뮬레이션 한 결과 대략 8번탐색 횟수와 1.04의 오차를 보임을 알 수 있었다.

Development of an Impedance Matching Layer in an Ultrasound Transducer with Gradient Properties

  • The piezocomposite transducer is widely used because it is highly efficient in transforming electric energy into mechanical energy, and its frequency range is broader than that of other types of ultrasound transducers. A general piezocomposite transducer is composed of an acoustic lens, impedance matching layers, piezoelectric materials, and backing layers. When an input voltage is applied to a piezoelectric material as an active material, it generates sound waves while vibrating. At that time, an impedance matching layer helps the sound waves to propagate forward while reducing the impedance mismatch that may occur at the interface between the active material and its front material. The impedance mismatch has a negative effect on the signal of an ultrasound transducer; thus, it is important to design a matching layer to overcome the issue. In this study, an optimized feature of a matching layer with gradient properties is studied. An objective function is defined to minimize both the average and the deviation of the reflection coefficients that are functions of the frequencies. As a result, an improvement in the signal characteristics with respect to the sensitivity and bandwidth is reported.
