In order to develop the school dental health care in rural area, the author collected data about the population of all 6-17 year students living in Young dong-gun county, and Surveyed their dental health cares during one year of 1982. From the collected data, several dental health indices such as percentage of students of all population, percentage of students who visited dentists once or more during one year, average annual dentist visit and average annual dental treatment case were calculated and discussed. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The percentage of students of all population in Young dong-gun county was 29.65%. 2. The percentage of students who visited dentists once or more during one year was 4.67%. 3. The average annual dentist visit per student was 0.11. 4. The average annual dental treatment case per student was 0.16. 5. The oral examination case was 0.05, intraoral radiograph 0.01, oral prophylaxis 0.00, filling of dental carious lesion 0.02, pulp treatment 0.02, extraction of teeth 0.04, and others 0.02 annually in the average. In comparison with detectable need for dental treatment cases, oral prophylaxis was not supplied at all, filling of dental carious lesion was supplied about 1% and extraction of teeth was supplied about 10% of detectable need. 6. It was recommended that school incremental dental care project should be developed for school dental health programme in order to supply all of the detectable need for dental treatment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the death orientation of college student nurses and to evaluate the effectiveness in death orientation of a class on 'hospice care'. this was done by investigating the difference between the death orientation before and after the class. Method: The instrument used in this Investigation was the death orientation scale developed by Thorson and Powell (1988). The subjects of the study were the 47 college student nurses in a 'hospice care' class. The research was carried out between March 2, 2001, when the class began, and June 21, 2001 when the class ended The collected data were examined using arithmetic mean, percentage, t-test, ANOVA. Result: The results of the study are as follows : 1. The average death orientation score of the subjects before the class was 2.80. 2. There were a significant difference in the death orientation scores before and after the class (p<0.001). Before the class, 'hospice care', the students had an average score of 2,80. Their average score decreased to 2.55 after the class. Of 25 death orientation items on the scale, 14 items decreased significantly after the class as compared to before the class. 3. According to personal attributes (religion. the existence of religion, the experience of a death in recently) of subjects, there were no significant statistical differences in death orientation (p>0.05). Conclusion: This study showed that a class on hospice care was effective in changing the death orientation of student nurses.

The purpose of this research is to explore factors which influence visitors' attention on exhibition panels by analyzing visitors' attention according to topic types and visitor group types. The subjects of this research are exhibition panels of a Tesla Coil exhibition in the Gwacheon National Science Museum. The exhibition panels' topic are basic concepts, explanations of phenomena, operating principles, applications and historical background. These topics are selected through a survey of visitors' intellectual needs for a Tesla Coil. Five new exhibition panels according to the topics are developed and visitor groups' behaviors in front of the panels are recoded in natural situations. The total participant groups are 586 groups, which includes individual student (30.0%), individual adult (20.6%), student group (28.2%), adult group(2.4%), and family group (18.8%). Visitors' attention to exhibition panels is sub-categorized into attracting power and holding power. Attracting power is defined by the percentile of group numbers who attend to an exhibition panel more than 3 seconds to the total group numbers who attend to an exhibition panel for more than a glance. Holding power is defined by average attention time and decay time. The attracting powers of historical background and application panels are 72.3% and 68.8% respectively, while that of the basic concept panel is 47%. Average attention times of explanation of phenomena and operating principle are 37.0 and 34.2 seconds, while those of historical background and application panels are 25.4 seconds. The decay times of each panel shows the same patterns of average attention times. Attracting powers of panels easy to approach and holding powers of panels with in-depth scientific concepts seems to be high. Attracting powers of the individual adult, family, and student group are 66.9%, 66.4% and 62.4% respectively, while the attracting power of the adult group and individual student are 57.1%, and 55.7%. Average attention times of the student group, family, adult groups are 34.0, 33.0, 31.6 seconds respectively, while that of individual student is 19.5 seconds. The decay times of each group shows the same patterns of average attention times. Both of attracting powers and average attention times of the student group and family group are high, while both of individual student are low. Tentatively, attracting powers of exhibition panels seems to be influenced more by topic types of panels, and holding power seems to be influenced more by group type. But these results are very limited and further studies are needed.
This study investigated the current situation regarding college environments and the use of disposable goods, to inquire the environmental consciousness of college student consumers, and to identify factors that affect their use of disposable products. The major findings of this study are summarized in the following. First, college students' usage of disposable products was measured in two ways: the tendency to use disposable product and the quantities of disposable products consumed. The tendency to use disposable product was found to be 2.80/5, which indicates that college students' behavior of consuming disposable goods was less than moderate. On average, a college student consumed a total of 35 disposable products per month. Second, variables that affect college students' consumption of disposable products were investigated. The students who showed a higher tendency to use disposable products were those with more spending money, those without any experiences in the environmental organizations and clubs, those who had a low personal opinion toward university policies, those who regarded environmental protection as more important than economic growth, and those who thought environmental protection to be more important than fashion.

The purpose of this study was to clarify variables affecting time management practice and the relationship between the practice and academic achievement of middle school students. Questionnaires including a time management scale were used for this study and the survey data were taken from 352 middle school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The statistical methods for the analysis were frequency, percentage, average, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation. The variables affecting student time management were gender, their standard of living, parental educational level and parental occupation. Religion and residential area were indicated as variables affecting several subscales of time management but the academic year of student had no effect on student time management behavior. The relationship between time management and the academic achievement of middle school students was slightly positive. Developing programs for time management in the field of family resource management is also necessary.

The significant predictors of student adjustment to college were career attitude maturity, calling, always working part-time, major in medicine and average grade for the last semester. Conclusion: These findings suggest that adjustment to college for students in health colleges is linked to career attitude maturity, and calling. College organization should develop a curriculum fostering a calling which will promote student adjustment to college and graduate health care professionals with desirable attitudes.
The status of health administration and medicare insurance program of 58 universities and colleges of 4-year course was studyed in 1971 and the following results were obtained; 1. The average number of students of 30 universities was $4,800{\pm}2,600$ and that of 36 colleges was $780{\pm}620$. 2. The types of health service facilities for the students varied widely according to the institutions, from an elaborate one, university health center, to a poor one, first aid room. 3. Thirty-six out of 58 institutions had some sort of health service facilities, either health center or health service room. And 14 out of 36 institutions had elaborate health service facilities such as university health center or student health center 4. The number of full time staff of the health center and that of the health service room were 2 to more than 10 and 0 to 3 respectively. 5. The range of student health service fee varied widely according to the institutions from \50 to \550 per student, per semester. The average cost of student health service fee at the institutions with health centers was $\300{\pm}150$ and that with health service rooms was $\200{\pm}150$ per student, per semester. 6. Utility rate of the student health service facilities at the institutions with health centers and with health service rooms were 1,200 to 1,400 and 3,900 to 4,100 per 1,000 students per year. 7. There was an obvious increasing tendency of tuberculosis prevalence rate in the students. 8. The institutions which had appointed hospitals for student medicare were 24; where the reduction rate of medical expenses for students varied from 10 to 50 per cent. 9. Students medicare insurance program was adopted by six universities which accomodated more than 2,000 students. 10. The range of student medicare insurance fee varied widely according to the institutions from \140 to \800 per student per year. The purpose of this study is to analyze the personality level of industrial-field specialized high schools and Meister high schools. The study objective for this is to analyze the differences per background variable and personality level of students of industrial-field specialized high schools and to analyze the differences per background variable and personality level of students of industrial-field Meister high schools. The study result is as follows. First, students of industrial-field specialized high schools showed personality level above normal in all 10 virtues, but this value fell short of the average for high school students suggested in Hyeon et al(2014). Second, students of industrial-field Meister high schools showed personality level above normal in all 10 virtues, and compared to the average for high school students suggested in Hyeon et al.(2014), categories of consideration and communication, manners, honesty/courage, and justice showed values below average. Third, students of industrial-field specialized high schools and Meister high schools showed differences in personality level according to nurturing style of parents, respect for teachers, stress for academic achievement, and school satisfaction, and additionally, students of Meister high schools showed differences in personality level according to career plans. That is, when the student perceived his/her parents to put higher value on his/her happiness rather than academic achievement, when the student respected the teacher, and when the student was more satisfied with te school life, the student showed higher personality level, and in case of students of Meister high schools, the student with detailed plan for his/her career showed high personality level than the student who has not yet decided on his/her career.
Objectives: We evaluated the extent to which implementation of student participation programs in serving school meals impacts student perception and satisfaction with school foodservice in middle and high school settings. Methods: Students' perception of management and satisfaction with quality attributes of school foodservice were assessed by questionnaire methods and compared by the program implementation status of student participation in serving school meals. Correlation and multiple regression analyses were performed to identify factors affecting perception and satisfaction. Results: The overall mean score for perception regarding the management of school foodservice was low (3.53 out of 10 points) and middle school students showed a higher mean score than high school students (4.10 vs. 2.94 points). In both middle and high schools, student perception was significantly higher in schools implementing the program. The average score for student satisfaction with the quality of school foodservice was 3.50 out of 5 points. Similarly, we observed a significantly higher satisfaction among middle versus high school students (3.93 vs. 3.04 points) and in schools implementing the program versus those that were not. Overall, student participation in serving school meals resulted in increases in satisfaction with school foodservice of 0.269 and 0.466 points among middle and high school students, respectively. Conclusions: Implementation of student participation in serving school meals could be used as a strategy to improve perception and satisfaction of students with their school foodservice. Establishment of guidelines of student serving participation programs encompassing different perspectives from students, dietitians and school faculties are warranted.
