  • In this paper, soft switching bidirectional DC-DC converter is proposed. The proposed topology is added two auxiliary switches, two resonant capacitors and one resonant inductor to convectional bidirectional DC-DC converter. Therefore, this proposed topology can reduce switching loss of each power switch by ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) and ZCS (Zero Current Switching). We have performed mode analysis, simulation and experiment for the proposed topology.

  • The performance of Radial Basis Function Neural Networks depends on setting up the Radial Basis Functions over the input space which are the important design procedure of Radial Basis Function Neural Networks. The existing method to initialize the location of the radial basis functions over the input space is to use the conditional fuzzy C-means clustering. However, the researchers which are interested in the conditional fuzzy C-means clustering cannot get as good modeling performance as they expect because the conditional fuzzy C-means clustering cannot project the information which is extracted over the output space into the input space. To compensate the above mentioned drawback of the conditional fuzzy C-means clustering, we apply a fuzzy K-nearest neighbors approach to project the auxiliary information defined over the output space into the input space without lose of the information.

  • Privacy-preserving collaborative filtering schemes take privacy concerns into its primary consideration without neglecting the prediction accuracy. Different schemes are proposed that are built upon different data partitioning scenarios such as a central server, two-, multi-party or peer-to-peer network. These data partitioning scenarios have been investigated in terms of claimed privacy promises, recently. However, to the best of our knowledge, any peer-to-peer privacy-preserving scheme lacks such study that scrutinizes privacy promises. In this paper, we apply three different attack techniques by utilizing auxiliary information to derive private ratings of peers and conduct experiments by varying privacy protection parameters to evaluate to what extent peers' data can be reconstructed.

  • In this paper we propose generalized multi-phase multivariate ratio estimators in the presence of multiauxiliary variables for estimating population mean vector of variables of interest. Some special cases have been deduced from the suggested estimator in the form of remarks. The expressions for mean square errors of proposed estimators have also been derived. The suggested estimators are theoretically compared and an empirical study has also been conducted.

  • In this paper, we suggest and analyze a class of iterative methods for solving hemiequilibrium problems using the auxiliary principle technique. We prove that the convergence of these new methods either requires partially relaxed strongly monotonicity or pseudomonotonicity, which is a weaker condition than monotonicity. Results obtained in this paper include several new and known results as special cases.

  • In this paper, we propose the calibration procedure for the valiance reduction of the stratified Warner's randomized response estimators, which suggested by Hong et al. (1994) and Kim and Warde (2004), using auxiliary information at the population level. It is shown that the proposed calibration estimators are more efficient than the ordinary Warner's estimators.

  • As we know, some indices and data are strong influence to the price movement of some assets now, but not to another assets and in future. Thus we define some asset models for several time intervals; intraday, weekly, monthly, and yearly asset models. We define these asset models by using Brownian motion with volatility and Poisson process, and several deterministic functions(index function, twitter data function and big-jump simple function etc). In our asset models, these deterministic functions are the positive or negative levels of auxiliary indices, of analyzed data, and for imminent and extreme state(for example, financial shock or the highest popularity in the market). These functions determined by indices, twitter data and shocking news are a kind of one of speciality of our asset models. For reasonableness of our asset models, we introduce several real data, figurers and tables, and simulations. Perhaps from our asset models, for short-term or long-term investment, we can classify and reference many kinds of usual auxiliary indices, information and data.

  • Auxiliary address pulse driving scheme is proposed for controlling and improving the color temperature of the 42-inch WVGA ac-plasma display panel (ac-PDP) without sacrificing total luminance. Under a white-background, the color temperature of 42-inch ac-PDP is improved by about 1,700 K, whereas under a black-background, the color temperature of 42-inch ac-PDP is improved by about 3,200 K. In addition, by properly controlling the luminance in the R, G, and B cells, the color temperature of 42-inch ac-PDP can be raised from 5,827K to 10,705K.

  • We propose stereoscopic video coding method using the syntax of MAC(Multiple auxiliary component) that was added to the MPEC-4 visual version 2 in order to describe the transparency of the video object. We also define the novel MAC's semantics in MPEG-4 that should support the proposed coding method. The major difference between the existing coding method and the proposed coding method is the addition of the residual texture coding. The proposed coding method assigns disparity map and residual texture to 3 components of MAC: one component for disparity map and the rest 2 components fer the luminance and chrominance data of the residual texture, respectively. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated in terms of PSNR by computer simulations.

  • In this paper, we consider to the adjustment weighting procedure in the two phase sampling scheme. In general, the unit nonresponses may be occured in the final survey operation. When the unit nonresponse be generated in survey, it is able to use the auxiliary variable for estimating of interest variable. In this viewpoint, we use the two kinds level of auxiliary variable, $X_{1k}$ and $X_{2k}$ for the calibration procedure. We proprose the two-step Newton's method in the calibration estimation procedure for the two phase sampling.
