Metal Phone MIMO Antenna Using the Auxiliary Letter Slot (보조 문자슬롯을 이용한 메탈폰 MIMO 안테나)

  • In this paper, a hybrid MIMO antenna for the mobile communication metal phone with auxiliary letter slot is designed and implemented. Auxiliary letter slot locates on the rear metal cover of the phone, and operates on LTE class 40 band. The slots of two letters are designed and operated with monopole+IFA hybrid antenna. Antenna satisfies under VSWR 3: 1 for LTE class 13 / LTE class 14 / CDMA / GSM / DCS / PCS / W-CDMA / LTE class 40 bands. Average gains and antenna efficiencies measured by the anechoic chamber were -5.57~-1.45 dBi and 27.75~71.6 %, respectively.

  • In this paper, a hybrid MIMO antenna for the metal phone with auxiliary slot for 4th generation mobile communication is designed and implemented. Auxiliary slot locates on the rear metal cover of the phone, and handles for LTE class 40 band. The auxiliary slot operates hybrid with a monopole antenna. Studied antenna satisfies under VSWR 3:1 for LTE class 13/ LTE class 14/ CDMA/ GSM/ DCS/ PCS/ W-CDMA/ LTE class 40 bands. ECC(Envelope Correlation Coefficient) value for MIMO characteristic is less than 0.2 over the whole design bands. Average gains and antenna efficiencies measured by MTG anechoic chamber were -5.57~-1.45 dBi and 27.75~71.6 %, respectively.

  • In all sorts of primary factor which produce torque ripple of d.c brushless motor cogging torque which is generated from relation between permanent magnet rotor and salient pole cannot controled by external control system. So in this paper cogging torque is analysed by simple method in which slot fuctuion is introduced. And for reducing counterplan of cogging torque d.c brushless motor which plot auxiliary slot by inequality interval is proposed. Thus the quantitative torque characteristics of new motor which designed by this method is analysed by F.E.M and validity of this new design is proved.

  • There are produced the detent force caused by slot-teeth structures, end-effect and parallel magnetization of permanent magnet in permanent magnet linear synchronous motor. In this paper, we proposed to establish the auxiliary core for reducing detent force which is generated the discontinuity of magnetic circuits by end effect. The optimal design of the auxiliary core used a finite element analysis and design of experiment. To demonstrate the validity of the paper, the experiment results are compared with analysis ones.

  • In this study new design method with auxiliary slot on salient pole is proposed for the reduction of cogging torque which is the problem of corm type DC Brushless motor. And FEM(Finite element method) is adapted in trial motor which is designed by the method proposed in this paper. and learn the quantative characteristics of cogging torque. Comparing results of analysis with measurement it is porved that the proposed design has a propriety.

  • PMLSM is structurally simple and it have a lot of merits such high speed, high thrust force etc., but cogging force by slot-teeth structure of armature and cogging force by outlet edge effect occurs. This is the cause of thrust force ripple and generate the noise and vibration. Therefore, in this paper we proposed installation of an auxiliary pole to mover of the PMLSM in order to decrease cogging force by the outlet edge which came necessarily into being discontinuous arrangement of the armature. Also, outlet edge cogging force designed a form of the auxiliary pole which the minimum became, and we compared a outlet edge cogging force characteristic along a winding method of an armature as we used 2-D of finite element analysis.

  • This paper deals with a reduction of cogging torque and estimate of inductance for IPMSM. The flux barriers(Barrier) and the auxiliary slot(Notch) for the reduction of cogging torque was installed for increase of driving characteristic in IPMSM. The cogging torque, driving torque and inductance are analyzed by using FEM(Finite Element Method) and the results of inductance calculation are compared to experimentation ones.

  • This study considered the reduction of the detent force of a permanent magnet linear synchronous generator (PMLSG). The PMLSG has a relatively large magnetic air gap. Thus, a slotted type of stator structure is generally employed. Furthermore, the detent force, which is caused by energy imbalances owing to the interaction between tooth-slot structures and the permanent magnets (PMs), must be minimized for start-up operation. Therefore, in this paper, the methods of auxiliary teeth and a notch in the teeth are applied to reduce the detent force.
