An Experimental Study on the Performance of a Heat Pump with a Refrigerant Heating Device (냉매가열식 열펌프시스템의 성능특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • To improve heating performance of the heat pump in winter season, refrigerant heating device was applied to conventional heat pump. The refrigerant heating device operates at the heating capacity does not enough to the heating load requirement of the conditioning space. When the discharge air temperature of the indoor heat exchanger goes down to below $40^{\circ}C$ which is criterion for comfort of the occupants in the conditioning space, the system also starts. The refrigerant heating system has new concept of auxiliary heating device for heat pump in winter. In this study, the system performance was analyzed through experiments and parametric study was conducted to improve the COP and control strategies.

  • A prototype peeling device with rotating cutter blades was designed to peel altari radish skin. With the designed blades, the maximum peeling depth increased as the cutter clearance increased but the effect of the peeling speed was not significant. The optimal operating conditions for peeling was; the peeling speed was at 0.19m/s when peeled 2.5 blades/sec and the maximum peeling depth was 1.5mm, the minimum peeling depth was 0.5mm, and the leaf rotating speed was 12 rpm, respectively. In the peeling test fur the optimum operation conditions, with a auxiliary rolling device could adjust the rotational speed of the root uniformly, the altari radishes under 70mm diameter were peeled perfectly.

  • Pantograph must be correctly attached to catenary to continuously supply stable power to railway vehicle, and the device used here is Auxiliary Air Compressor (ACM). The existing ACM used the DC motor that included commutator and brush. Since maintenance and repair by mechanical friction are essential for the DC motor, BLDC motor studies have been conducted to improve this. A three-phase BLDC motor does $120^{\circ}$ two-phase commutation through hall sensors in general. However, since hall sensor is vulnerable to heat and can run only when all three sensors work normally, sensorless control method has been studied to solve this. Using back EMF Zero Crossing Point (ZCP) detection method, this paper will introduce a stable switching sensing method that has a non-commutation area in a low speed zone.

  • A study on an integrated single stage AC/DC converter is presented in this paper. The input current can be controlled by the auxiliary winding($L_{aux}$), auxiliary primary winding($N_3$), and the boost inductor($L_B$) which are designed to operate in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) to reduced the total harmonic distortion(THD) of input current. The auxiliary primary winding($N_3$) is critically selected in order to compress the input capacitor voltage($V_{in}$) as well as to reduce the current stress of the switch(Q). Low total harmonic distortion(THD), low input voltage($V_{in}$) in universal input voltage($V_{AC}$), low current stress at the switching device and high efficiency are the main consideration keys in this design to achieve high performance system with low cost of single stage AC/DC converter. A 30W single stage AC/DC prototype converter is under study.

  • This paper proposes a new prototype auxiliary resonant DC link(ARDCL)snubber circuit and deals with its power loss on the basis of actually measured conduction loss characteristic of switching device module. Voltage type soft switching three phase inverter using proposed ARDCL snubber circuit is presented along with its performance evaluations. And, the power loss analysis of three phase hard and soft switching inverter are carried out from the point of simulation and experimental results.

  • Yard cranes are very useful equipments for handling of heavy containers. But rope-driven yard cranes must have a little of sway and skew motion because ropes are passive mechanical device. So many researches have been concentrated on anti-sway algorithm controlling trolley speed. But control algorithm of trolley speed is not practical in windy weather. In this paper, we are going to propose a new structure for anti-sway. This structure uses aux. ropes. The control strategy with auxiliary rope is very useful to sway control of yard crane because rope length is shorter than quay-side container cranes. In this paper, we derive equations of motion of trolley system which have anti-sway controller to use auxiliary rope. And main schemes are introduced and explained briefly.

  • Demand of moving auxiliary equipment has increased recently to an increase in the elderly population. pedestrian demand is either moving auxiliary equipment are also increasing. regional migration, such as pedestrian and the elderly and patients is a device to support the sharing received walking the weight of inconvenient people. In this paper, by mounting the electric function to the current manual walking, to prepare the electric walking to support the user's walking. the design applies a lightweight folding structure so that it can be moved to a ride at long distances, were fabricated.
