  • In this paper, constraint aggregation is combined with the adjoint and multiple shooting strategies for optimal control of differential algebraic equations (DAE) systems. The approach retains the inherent parallelism of the conventional multiple shooting method, while also being much more efficient for large scale problems. Constraint aggregation is employed to reduce the number of nonlinear continuity constraints in each multiple shooting interval, and its derivatives are computed by the adjoint DAE solver DASPKADJOINT together with ADIFOR and TAMC, the automatic differentiation software for forward and reverse mode, respectively. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • This study was performed to develop an automatic sacking device for the combine harvester which was constituted input/output signal system, controller, delivery device, shooting device, pneumatic system for shooting operation, vibration device fer sacking operation and a new developed sacking bag. A new developed automatic sacking device and new sacking bag were operated well in general. And they were possible to develop a new combine to reduce of fatigue, to improve the safety and the performance. In developed device, The optimum delivery velocity of conveyer for sacking was 5.16 mm/sec. In sacking device, sacking discharge was shown 94% with non-vibration condition and sacking discharge was shown 99% with vibration condition, respectively.

  • Camera rigs for shooting 3D video are classified as manual, motorized, or fully automatic. Even in an automatic camera rig, the process of Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) video capture is very complex and time-consuming. One of the key time-consuming operations is capturing the distance parameters, which are near distance, far distance, and convergence distance. Traditionally these distances are measured by tape measure or triangular indirect measurement methods. These two methods consume a long time for every scene in shot. In our study, a compact laser distance sensing system with long range distance sensitivity is developed. The system is small enough to be installed on top of a camera and the measuring accuracy is within 2% even at a range of 50 m. The shooting time of an automatic camera rig equipped with the laser distance sensing system can be reduced significantly to less than a minute.

  • Recently, the requirement of automation in the every fields of the industrial places has been increased remarkably. The shooting range systems in the Past have been designed on the basis of static circumstance. However, Various transformation of the shooting circumstances is required, since the target for real shooting situation not static. In this study we have established for targets Per one shooting line to realize the dynamic shooting circumstance, distributed shooting order into sequence and random ones. and accommodated the shooting time variably. And, we have done an efficient communication possible, using CAN(Controller Area Network) applied to a lot of the car and the building automation. The CAN can support real-time control efficiently by connecting multiple ECU(Electric Control Unit), since it provide the high data transfer rate and the stability of communication.

  • Cognition and control of grinding trouble occurring during the grinding process are classified into a quantitative knowledge which depends on experimental data and qualitative knowledge which relies on skiful engineers. grinding operations include a large number of functional parameters since there are several ways of coping with ginding trouble. One is the qualitative method which depends on empirical knowledge utilizing the skilful experts from the workshop the other is the quantitative method which utilizes the experimental data obtained by sensor. But they are all difficult to accomplish from the grinding trouble-shooting system The reason is that grinding troubles are not accomplish from the grinding trouble-shooting system,. The rason is that grinding troubles are not easily controlled in the quantitative method and therefore trouble-shooting has mainly relied on the knoledge of skiful engineers. Thus there is an important issue of how a grinding touble-shooting system can be designed and what knowledge is utilized among the large amount of grinding trouble information. In this paper basic strategy to develop the grinding database by taking rule-based model which is strongly depended upon experience and intuition is described.

  • The ground integration test of Smart UAV has been performed according to the flight test plan. The flight test of full scaled model will be performed followed by 4 DOF ground rig test and a tethered hover test. Smart UAV is the first indigenous tiltrotor aircraft which can fly with fast cruise speed and take off or land vertically. In order to prove the flight control law of Smart UAV, the 40% scaled airplane was developed and have been tested. During flight test of small scaled model, many unique and unexpected problems occurred. After clearing these problems, fully automatic flight test was performed successfully. The experiences about many trouble shooting and resolving the problems would be basic material to avoid the unexpected but similar flight test problems hidden behind of the full scaled Smart UAV. This paper presents the detailed procedures of trouble shootings to solve the unique problems which occurred during the flight test of small scaled tiltrotor UAV.

  • This paper describes development of automatic flight control system for an unmanned target drone which is operated by Korean army as for anti-air gun shooting training. Current target drone is operated by pilot control of on-board servo motor via remote control system. Automatic flight control system for the target drone greatly reduces work load of ground pilot and can increase application area of the drone. Most UAVs being operated now days use high-priced sensors as AHRS and IMU to measure the attitude, but those are costly. This paper introduces the development of low-cost automatic flight control system with low-cost sensors. The integrated automatic flight control system has been developed by integrating combining power module, switching module, monitoring module and RC receiver as an one module. The performance of automatic flight control system is verified by flight test.

  • A Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp(CCFL) is used as a LCD Monitor's backlight widely. The most common way to check CCFL's defects is an examination with the naked eye. This naked eye examination can cause an examination inconsistency and an industrial disaster. To examine CCFL defects, a shooting equipment and a defect detection algorithm are necessary. This paper shows the shooting environments for checking CCFL and presents some CCFL defect detection algorithms. As a result of experiments, our implementations showed 98.32% of successful defect detection of CCFL.
