Intelligent Vehicle Management Using Location-Based Control with Dispatching and Geographic Information

  • The automatic determination of vehicle operation status as well as continuous tracking of vehicle location with intelligent management is one of major elements to achieve the goals. Especially, vehicle operation status can only be analyzed in terms of expert experiences with real-time location data with scheduling information. However the scheduling information of individual vehicle is very difficult to be interpreted immediately because there are hundreds of thousand vehicles are run at the same time in the national wide range workplace. In this paper, we propose the location-based knowledge management system(LKMs) using the active trajectory analysis method with routing and scheduling information to cope with the problems. This system uses an inference technology with dispatching and geographic information to generate the logistics knowledge that can be furnished to the manager in the central vehicle monitoring and controlling center.

  • A dimensioning system in a manufacturing process is often complex, especially when a lot of operations are involved in the process. Determination of operational dimensions and tolerances becomes even more complicated if there exist inconsistencies between operational and design relationships among operational dimensions in machining. This chart furnishes a record of the relationships in an easy-to-grasp form, proves that sufficient stock for a cut is available even under adverse conditions, and also proves that separate operations, when taken together, will harmonize as desired. In this paper, various existing roles of the chart have been extended to an operational routing sheet by generating it automatically, providing machining conditions, and verifying operational tolerances.

  • Wire harness assembly is one of the most labor intensive processes in manufa- tuing, but the process has not been fully automated yet. In this paper a variety of concepts for flexible automated assembly system are suggested to design a robot- based wire harness assembly cell. All concepts are featuring an automatic, fedkng of wires, terminating routing, inserting and bundling. Based upon possible assembly methods and procedures, six alternative systems are proposed and, finally, evaluated10 from the view point of system performance such as flexibility, reliability assembly time and equipment cost.

  • Ad-hoc 네트워크상에서 여러 라우팅 기법들이 제안 되었으며, 그 중 근래에 발표된 트리 토폴로지에 바탕을 둔 AIR(Automatic Incremental Routing)는 그 단순성과 효율성에서 뛰어난 알고리즘으로 주목 받고 있다. 하지만 AIR 와 같이 트리에 바탕을 둔 알고리즘은 형성된 트리의 형태에 따라 그 효율성이 크게 좌우 되는 반면, 트리 형성방법은 많이 논의 되지 않았다. 본 논문은 AIR 상에서의 라우팅 방법을 이용하여 효율적인 트리의 형성 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이 알고리즘으로 생성된 트리, 임의로 생성된 트리, 그리고 최적의 트리를 각각의 Wiener 수를 비교하여 그 효율을 입증한다.

  • 인터넷의 급격한 발전과 광범위한 보급에 따라 과거 전화, 서신 또는 직접방문을 통하여 해결하던 고객상담의 상당부분은 인터넷을 이용한 전자우편 및 전자게시판을 이용하는 방향으로 꾸준히 대치되고 있다. 인터넷을 통한 고객과의 접촉방식의 대부분을 차지하는 전자우편과 전자게시판은, 기존의 방식 특히 전화에 비하여 즉각적인 응답을 기대하기가 어렵다는 측면이 고객에게는 가장 큰 불만사항이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 문서로 이루어진 전자우편 또는 전자게시판의 고객 상담 내용을 기계학습의 분류기법을 활용하여 담당자를 자동으로 선정함으로써 보다 신속히 고객의 요구에 반응할 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 제안한다. 실제 수집한 다년간의 데이터를 기반으로 다양한 분류기법의 성능을 비교 평가하였으며, 그 결과 k-NN을 이용한 기법이 성능 및 활용도 측면에서 유리함을 보였다 또한, 인터넷을 통한 질문의 경우 상당 수준의 오탈자 및 띄어쓰기 오류를 내포하고 있는데, 바이그램을 이용한 문서처리방법을 이용함으로써 이러한 상황에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있으며, 바이그램으로 문서 처리 시 발생할 수 있는 시스템의 부담을 큰 성능의 저하 없이 최소화하기 위하여 자주 등장한 단어만을 선정하는 방안이 실용성이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new ECAD software for efficiently analyzing and debugging of digital architecture implemented in Verilog HDL or VHDL codes. This software firstly elaborates HDL codes so as to extract internal architecture structure, then generates several graphical aids such as hierarchical schematics by applying placement and routing algorithm, object tree to show configuration of each module, instance tree to show hierarchical structure of instances, and SPD (Signal Propagation Diagram) to show internal interconnections. It is more important function that same objects in different views(HDL codes, object tree, instance tree, SPD, waveform etc.) can be highlighted at the starting any object. These functions are sure to improve efficiency of manual job to fix bugs or to analyze HDL codes.

  • In this paper, we design the r-Sensor protocol for reliable data transmission in the Intelligent Home Service based on the wireless sensor network environment. The r-Sensor protocol improve the reliability of data transmission and node fairness using simple routing algorithm, congestion control, and loss recovery method that minimize the load of relay node. Reposed routing algorithm find out upstream and downstream nodes using the Network Management packet. Meanwhile, loss recovery algorithm uses the Aggregated-Nack. To apply supposed algorithm, the IHS-AMR(Intelligent Home Service - Automatic Meter Reader) and sensor node are designed and implemented in hardware. The IHS-AMR provides remote metering service and also offers home safety service by internetworking with sensor network, mobile phone network and internet.

  • A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) supports a multi-hop wireless network without any prepared base station (BS). The MANET is capable of building a mobile network automatically without any help from DHCP servers for address allocation or routers to forward or route messages. Many routing protocols have been proposed for the MANET, but these specify the most optimized or shortest path from a source to a destination, and they assume that nodes are pre-configured before communication. To make up for this, address allocation algorithms, such as MANETConf [1] and prophet address allocation algorithm [2], have been proposed. Especially, MANETConf proposes address allocation algorithm with duplication address check. In this paper, we present a dynamic node configuration protocol based on 2-tierd hierarchical network architecture for mobile ad-hoc network, modified from [1]. Especially, it reduces the number of broadcast message exchange between nodes when a new node somes into a network, which lessens network overhead, remarkably. This protocol is based on two-tired structure, and it ensures address allocation with simple duplication address defection mechanism.

  • The Islamic jurisprudential legal system represents an essential component of the Islamic religion, that governs many aspects of Muslims' daily lives. This creates many questions that require interpretations by qualified specialists, or Muftis according to the main sources of legislation in Islam. The Islamic jurisprudence is usually classified into branches, according to which the questions can be categorized and classified. Such categorization has many applications in automated question-answering systems, and in manual systems in routing the questions to a specialized Mufti to answer specific topics. In this work we tackle the problem of automatic categorisation of Islamic jurisprudential legal questions using deep learning techniques. In this paper, we build a hierarchical deep learning model that first extracts the question text features at two levels: word and sentence representation, followed by a text classifier that acts upon the question representation. To evaluate our model, we build and release the largest publicly available dataset of Islamic questions and answers, along with their topics, for 52 topic categories. We evaluate different state-of-the art deep learning models, both for word and sentence embeddings, comparing recurrent and transformer-based techniques, and performing extensive ablation studies to show the effect of each model choice. Our hierarchical model is based on pre-trained models, taking advantage of the recent advancement of transfer learning techniques, focused on Arabic language.

  • To prevent pollution from ships, the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) is a mandatory guideline for all new ships. The Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) has also been applied by MARPOL to all existing ships. SEEMP provides the Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator (EEOI) for monitoring the operational efficiency of a ship. By monitoring the EEOI, the shipowner or operator can establish strategic plans, such as routing, hull cleaning, decommissioning, new building, etc. The key parameter in calculating EEOI is Fuel Oil Consumption (FOC). It can be measured on board while a ship is operating. This means that only the shipowner or operator can calculate the EEOI of their own ships. If the EEOI can be calculated without the actual FOC, however, then the other stakeholders, such as the shipbuilding company and Class, or others who don't have the measured FOC, can check how efficiently their ships are operating compared to other ships. In this study, we propose a method to estimate the EEOI without requiring the actual FOC. The Automatic Identification System (AIS) data, ship static data, and environment data that can be publicly obtained are used to calculate the EEOI. Since the public data are of large capacity, big data technologies, specifically Hadoop and Spark, are used. We verify the proposed method using actual data, and the result shows that the proposed method can estimate EEOI from public data without actual FOC.
