실내 환경에서의 경비로봇용 주행시스템 (A Navigation System for a Patrol Robot in Indoor Environments)

  • In this paper, we develope the navigation system for patrol robots in indoor environment. The proposed system consists of PDA map modelling, a localization algorithm based on a global position sensor and an automatic charging station. For the practical use in security system, the PDA is used to build object map on the given indoor map. And the builded map is downloaded to the mobile robot and used in path planning. The global path planning is performed with a localization sensor and the downloaded map. As a main controller, we use PXA270 based hardware platform in which embedded linux 2.6 is developed. Data handling for various sensors and the localization algorithm are performed in the linux platform. Also, we implemented a local path planning algorithm for object avoidance with ultra sonar sensors. Finally, for the automatic charging, we use an infrared ray system and develop a docking algorithm. The navigation system is experimented with the two-wheeled mobile robot using North-Star localization system.

  • AIS(Automatic Identification System)는 선박의 항해안전 및 실시간 모니터링을 위하여 국제해사기구(IMO)에서 채택한 것으로서 선박의 제원 및 운항정보를 선박-선박/육상 간에 자동 송수신 하는 장치이다. 연안해역의 관제, 수색 및 구조지원, 선박통항관제 수단을 제공하여 주는 유용한 장비이다. 본 연구에서는 AIS 장비를 항로표지에 설치하여 항로표지에 대한 실시간 정보를 수집하거나 감시 및 제어 또한 이를 직접 선박에 제공하기 위한 실시간 유비쿼터스 해상표지시설의 구축을 위하여 실시한 해상실험을 결과를 분석하여 구축을 위한 방안을 제안 하고자 한다.

Automatic collision avoidance algorithm based on improved artificial potential field method

  • With the development of science and technology, various research on ship collision avoidance has also developed rapidly. The research and development of ship collision avoidance technology has also received high attention from many researchers. This paper proposes a new collision avoidance algorithm for ships based on the artificial force field collision avoidance method. Using the simulation platform, the simulation results show that ships can successfully avoid collision in open water under single ship and multi ship situations, and the research results are relatively ideal.

저가형 무인항공기 운용을 위한 항법시스템 설계 (Design of Navigation System for Low Cost Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • 최근의 무인항공기는 정찰임무를 비롯하여 무인기에 미사일을 장착하여 지대공 공격 임무를 수행하기까지 군용으로 뿐만 아니라 기상 관측, 해상 관측 등의 목적으로 폭넓게 활용하고 있으며, 점차 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 무인기는 정밀한 자세제어를 위하여 자세정보를 제공하는 AHRS와 같은 센서를 장착하는데 비용이 500만원 정도에서 고급 센서는 수 천 만원에 이르고 있다. 최근 한국항공우주연구원에서는 이러한 고가의 센서 출력정보인 자세각 정보를 사용하지 않고 각속도 정보를 기반으로 저가형 자동비행시스템을 개발하여 소형표적기와 무인표적기 비행시험을 통하여 성능을 입증하였다. 본 논문에서는 무인항공기의 항법시스템 설계를 위하여 목표로 하는 신뢰성을 충족시키면 동시에 저가형인 GPS 센서를 선택하기 위하여 Hardware in the Loop Simulation(HILS)을 통하여 GPS 출력주파수에 따른 성능을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 무인표적기에 자동비행시스템과 항법시스템을 장착하여 비행시험을 수행하였으며, 설계된 항법시스템 성능을 비행시험 결과를 통하여 확인하였다.

Study on Small Vessel′s Pseudo-AIS Interoperable with Universal AIS

  • Universal AIS, which has been adopted officially for automatic identification systems among regulated ships by SOLAS, should be installed, for example, on all passenger ships over 300 tons engaged in international voyage and over 500 tons in domestic voyage, sequentially from 2002 to 2004. We must not overlook the fact than-ruled regions by regional authorities in the case of VTS. Actually a major portion of accidents have happened in small vessels like fishing vessels. However, they are not equipped with automatic identification tools, due to the high costs of the equipment for identifying purposes, as well as the absence of regulation In this paper, we researched the alternative of automatic identification for small vessel instead of universal AIS. We analyzed the requirement of automatic identification for small vessel about wireless communication method, traffic volume, etc. We proposed the identification system for small vessels in local areas and developed the Local Vessel Identification System (LVIS) interoperable with universal AIS using a PDA platform and wireless network.

  • When an automatic course-keeping is concerned as is quite popular in modern navigation the closed-loop steering system consists of autopilot device power unit (or telemotor unit) steering gear magnetic or gyro compass and ship dynamics. The consideration of irregular disturbances to ship dyanmics and a few non-linear mechanisms involved in the system inevitably or artificially are known to be very important in properly evaluating or analyzing the automatic steering system. In the present study the mathematical model of each element of an automatic steering system is derived which takes account of a fex non-linear mechanisms. PD(Proportional-Derivative) controller and low-pass filter with a weather adjustment are adopted to modelling the characteristics of an autopilot. The calculation method of imposing irregular disturbances to ship dynamics is proposed where irregular disturbances implying irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind. For he evaluation of automatic steering system of ships in the open seas an important term "performance index" is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving which derived from the concept of energy loss on ship propulsion. Finally the present methods are applied to two typical types of ship ; an ore carrier and a fishing boat. The various effects of linear and/or non-linear control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated to validate and clarify the present smulation technique.

  • The problem of vehicle routing problem(VRP) with pair operations of pick up and delivery are well-known in real applications in logistics networks, as in planning the routes for automatic guided vehicles(AGVs) in an automatic container terminal(ACT), warehouses or in some just-in-time services. This paper will present a formulation to modeling the problem mathematically which can be used to generate optimal routes of carried vehicles in the field to reduce the incurred cost of moving goods. This selected model could be used in (semi-)automatic short-term planning systems for vehicle fleet working in ACT, or in modern warehouses which the long list of requests is parted and sorted in preprocessing orders systems.

다방향파중에서의 선박 자동조타 시스템의 평가 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of Automatic Steering of Ships in Multi-directional Waves)

In order to estimate steering system of ship in open seas, we need to know the characteristics of each component of the system and also to know the characteristics of disturbance to ship dynamics. Calculation methods of irrgular disturbances are based on the linear superposition principle. In this paper, for the purpose of evaluation of automatic steering of ships , the influences of linear control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated bya performance index is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving. Numberical calculations are carried out for an are carrier and for a fishing boat in multi-directional waves.

  • 본 논문에서는 다변수 퍼지 제어 시스템 이용한 선박의 자동 항해 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 다변수 퍼지 제어 시스템은 세 개의 인력과 두 개의 출력을 가지는 서브시스템으로 구성되어지며, 제안된 시스템의 효과성을 증명하기 시뮬레이션을 통해 동적인 환경에서도 스스로 장애물을 인식하고 회피할 수 있음을 보였다.
