  • The accuracy of the automatic NMO velocity analysis, which is used for an effective and objective NMO velocity analysis, is highly affected by the velocity resolution of the velocity spectrum. In this study, we have developed an automatic NMO velocity algorithm, where the velocity spectra are created using high-resolution bootstrapped differential semblance (BDS), and the velocity analysis on CMP gathers is performed in parallel with MPI. We also compared the velocity models from the developed automatic NMO velocity algorithm with high-resolution BDS to those from BDS. To verify the developed automatic velocity analysis module we created synthetic seismic data from a velocity model including horizon layers. We confirmed that the developed automatic velocity analysis module estimated velocity more accurately. In addition, NMO velocity which yielded a CMP stacked section, where the coherency of the events were improved, was estimated when the developed module was applied to a marine field data set.

  • This paper presents a program for the automatic alignment of optical axes and evaluation of the optical filter performance which is a key technologies for the production of optical module. Recently the production of optical filter module mostly depends upon handwork or semi-automation. Moreover, they have used an expensive spectrum analyzer. In this work, we have developed an automatic alignment and evaluation program of optical filter module using photo detector and developed program for automation and cost reduction of the production of optical titter module.

  • The bundling process is the final step in vegetable manufacturing, however, the process is a little difficult to be automatized, because vegetable has the physical properties of roughness, softness, and fragility etc. In this paper, we proposed an automatic bundling mechanism for vegetable based on the heat melt sticking. The proposed mechanism consists of three modules, one module is the moving part for aligning of the vegetable shape and adjusting of the vegetable tension, second module is the arm driving part for the vegetable binding and the band roll releasing, and third module is band joining, band cutting, and band feeding part for the vegetable binding continuously. Through this research, Using the SMO(SimDesigner Motion) module, we optimize condition of mechanical movement of the bundling mechanism. This bundling system designed in order to binding 288 bundle/hour.

  • In this paper, we propose a procedure to multiple SNS channels automatic streaming through multiple output channels including the output channel of an external streaming server. The multiple SNS channels automatic streaming server includes an output management module for controlling the transmission of video contents to RELAY module that establish two or more output channels. In this paper, we experimented by separate with HD and FHD video using RELAY module in multiple SNS channel automatic streaming. In stream modules using RELAY module of HD video, when the publisher client and the player client and the RELAY module are 1 channel, the occupancy rate of CPU is 0.6% and the occupancy rate of heap memory is 0.3%(20 Mbyte). When the publisher client and the player client and the RELAY module are 183 channels, the occupancy rate of CPU is 99.9% and the occupancy rate of heap memory is 45.8%(3.7Gbyte). Therefore, the paper is not limited to the size of the streaming server by extending the output channel from which the video is transmitted to the output channel of the external streaming server. And a process of allocating an output channel of an external streaming server to an output channel through which an video is transmitted can be easily performed, so that an efficient output channel management can be performed even when a plurality of videos are transmitted.

  • In this paper, an automatic functional inspection system EVT (Emulated Vision Tester) for LCD drive module PCB has been proposed and implemented. Typical automatic inspection system such as probing methods and vision-based systems are widely known and used, however, there exist undetectable defects due to critical timing factors which they may miss to catch from LCD equipments. Especially typical vision-based systems have inconsistency on acquisition of images so that distinction between gray scales can be difficult which results in low level of performance and reliability on the inspection results. The proposed EVT system is pure hardware solution. It directly compares pattern signals from a pattern generator to output signals from LCD drive module. It also inspects variety of analog signals such as voltage, resistance, wave forms and so forth. The EVT system not only shows high performance in terms of reliability and processing speed but reduces costs on inspection and maintenance. Also, full automation of entire production line can be realized when EVT is applied in in-line inspection processes.

  • In this thesis, an automatic door lock system using a dual tone multiple frequency(DTMF) signal generated as pushing the key button of mobile phone is proposed and implemented. This system consists of a transmitter module and a receiver module for processing the DTMF signal of mobile phone. The DTMF signal of mobile phone connected with ear-phone jack enter into the input terminal of DTMF receiver and those are encoded by a code-converter with 4-bits binary format in the DTMF receiver. The encoded output signals are transmitted to the amplitude shift keying(ASK) modulator of transmitter module and the modulated ASK signals which are converted into radio frequency(RF) signals propagate in a free space. The RF signals passed through a free space are demodulated by the ASK demodulator of receiver module and the demodulated ASK signals are sent to a micro-controller unit(MCU). The output signals processed by the MCU are compared with the secreted identification number which is prerecorded in a microprocessor and are transferred to a power relay. If the result is the same, the automatic door lock system opens a door. In the opposite case, it maintains closing the door. The implemented automatic door lock system operates well in mobile environments.

  • In this paper, we discuss the structure of biological knowledge discovery system based on text mining and automatic inference. Given a set of biology documents, the system produces a new hypothesis in an integrated manner. The text mining module of the system first extracts the 'event' information of predefined types from the documents. The inference module then produces a new hypothesis based on the extracted results. Such an integrated system can use information more up-to-date and diverse than other automatic knowledge discovery systems use. However, for the success of such an integrated system, the precision of the text mining module becomes crucial, as any hypothesis based on a single piece of false positive information would highly likely be erroneous. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic filtering method that filters out false positives from the extraction results. Our proposed method shows higher performance over an occurrence-based baseline method.

  • This paper describes a study on the automatic generation system of the interface for communication among AMBA bus and IPs with different protocols. Employing an extended STG, the proposed system generates the interface modules required for the communication among IPs with different protocols. For an example system, the interface module for communication between AMBA AHB bus and a video decoder has been generated and verified in its functionality. The area and latency have been compared with the manually designed interface. For burst-mode communication, the generated interface module shows the comparable performance with the manually designed module. For single-mode communication, the generated interface module shows a slightly worse performance than the manually designed module. However, the increased area is negligible considering the size of the IP.

  • This study suggests a generalized availability and safety evaluation model to evaluate the influences to the system's fault tolerant capabilities depending on automatic fault detection function such as the automatic periodic testings. The conventional evaluation model of automatic fault detection function deals only with the self diagnostics, and supposes that the fault detection coverage of self diagnostics is always constant. But all of the fault detection methods could be degraded. For example, the periodic surveillance test has the potential human errors or test equipment errors, the self diagnostics has the potential degradation of built-in logics, and the automatic periodic testing has the potential degradation of automatic test facilities. The suggested evaluation models have incorporated the loss or erroneous behaviors of the automatic fault detection methods. The availability and the safety of each module of the safety grade platform have been evaluated as they were applied the automatic periodic test methodology and the fault tolerant evaluation models. The availability and safety of the safety grade platform were improved when applied the automatic periodic testing. Especially the fault tolerant capability of the processor module with a weak self-diagnostics and the process parameter input modules were dramatically improved compared to the conventional cases. In addition, as a result of the safety evaluation of the digital reactor protection system, the system safety of the digital parts was improved about 4 times compared to the conventional cases.
