무인 자동차의 승차감 개선을 위한 퍼지제어기의 설계 (Design of Fuzzy Controller for the Improvement of Auto-Vehicle's Comfortability)

  • Based on fuzzy logic algorithm this paper constructed fuzzy logic controller for automated vehicles. For passenger's convenience especially comfortability controller need to reduce the frequency of input variable's changing. So we established membership functions for comfortability as mil as speed following. It made possible to control comfortability directly. To demonstration the efficiency of fuzzy logic controller, we carried out simulation with a Automobile's transfer function. First, we designed the PID controller by using Ziegler-Nichols tunning method. Second, we calculated time response for each controller, then we compared the speed patterns of fuzzy controlled system and PID controlled system. Also we compared the difference of input variable. By comparing two controller's response, we can confirm the merit of fuzzy controller about comfortability. Fuzzy controller can reduce input changing frequency.

Cell-Based Assay Design for High-Content Screening of Drug Candidates

  • To reduce attrition in drug development, it is crucial to consider the development and implementation of translational phenotypic assays as well as decipher diverse molecular mechanisms of action for new molecular entities. High-throughput fluorescence and confocal microscopes with advanced analysis software have simplified the simultaneous identification and quantification of various cellular processes through what is now referred to as high-content screening (HCS). HCS permits automated identification of modifiers of accessible and biologically relevant targets and can thus be used to detect gene interactions or identify toxic pathways of drug candidates to improve drug discovery and development processes. In this review, we summarize several HCS-compatible, biochemical, and molecular biology-driven assays, including immunohistochemistry, RNAi, reporter gene assay, CRISPR-Cas9 system, and protein-protein interactions to assess a variety of cellular processes, including proliferation, morphological changes, protein expression, localization, post-translational modifications, and protein-protein interactions. These cell-based assay methods can be applied to not only 2D cell culture but also 3D cell culture systems in a high-throughput manner.

자율주행 인지 모듈의 실시간 성능을 위한 적응형 관심 영역 판단 (An Adaptive ROI Decision for Real-time Performance in an Autonomous Driving Perception Module)

  • This paper represents an adaptive Region of Interest (ROI) decision for real-time performance in an autonomous driving perception module. Since the whole automated driving system consists of numerous modules and subdivisions of module occur, it is necessary to consider the characteristics, complexity, and limitations of each module. Furthermore, Light Detection And Ranging (Lidar) sensors require a considerable amount of time. In view of these limitations, division of submodule is inevitable to represent high real-time performance for stable system. This paper proposes ROI to reduce the number of data respect to computation time. ROI is set by a road's design speed and the corresponding ROI is applied differently to each vehicle considering its speed. The simulation model is constructed by ROS, and overall data analysis is conducted by Matlab. The algorithm is validated using real-time driving data in urban environment, and the result shows that ROI provides low computational costs.

3D JIG 모델의 Kinematic 템플릿 생성 방법론 (Kinematic Template Generation Methodology for 3D JIG Models)

  • Proposed in the paper is a methodology to generate kinematic template for 3D JIG models. Recently, according to increase of the rate of automatic facility in manufacturing system, the 3D manufacturing and verification research and development have been issued. So, unlike in the past, moving 3D facilities are very various like JIGs, turn table, AS/RS worked in the automated manufacturing industry. Because 3D mesh models are used in these kinds of 3D simulation, users have to define the kinematic information manually. This 3D mesh data doesn't have parametric information and design history of the 3D model unlike the design level data. So, it is lighter than 3D design level data and more efficient to render on the 3D virtual manufacturing environment. But, when user wants to find a common axis located between the links, the parameter information of the model has to reconstruct for defining kinematic construction. It takes a long time and very repetitive to define an axis and makes a joint using 3D mesh data and it is non-intuitive task for user. This paper proposed template model that provides kinematic information of the JIG. This model is kinds of a state diagram to describe a relation between links. So, this model can be used for a kinematic template to the JIG which has a same mechanism. The template model has to be registered in the template library to use in the future, after user made the model of the specific type of the 3D JIG model.

사양변수를 이용한 비터비 복호기의 자동설계 (Automated Design of Viterbi Decoder using Specification Parameters)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 통신 시스템에서 많이 사용되는 다양한 사양의 비터비 복호기를 자동으로 생성할 수 있는 가변적 비터비 복호기의 설계방법을 제안한다. 여기서 제안하는 가변적 비터비 복호기는 구속장, 부호율, 생성다항식 등의 길쌈부호기 사양, 프레임당의 비트 수, 전송 속도 등의 데이터 전송 사양, 그리고 복호기의 성능을 위한 연판정 비트수 등을 매개 변수화(parameterization)하여, 사용자가 제공하는 사양변수에 맞는 비터비 복호기를 최적으로 자동 생성하도록 설계되었다. 이를 위해 C 언어로 설계된 사용자 인터페이스 환경 모듈을 구현하였고, 또한 VHDL 언어와 generic 변수를 활용한 비터비 복호기의 기능 블록 모듈이 계층 구조적으로 설계되었다. 설계된 가변적 비터비 복호기의 검증을 위해, IS-95 CDMA 시스템의 규격에 맞는 비터비 복호기를 자동 생성하여 기존의 설계된 내용과 비교 검증하였다. 제안된 방식은 앞으로 사양이 조금씩 바뀔 때마다 비터비 복호기를 새로이 설계할 필요없이, 변경된 사양만 제공함으로써 매우 빠른 시간내에 변경된 하드웨어 설계를 얻을 수 있는 새로운 설계방식이라 할 수 있다.

Design and Performance of an Automated Bioreactor for Cell Culture Experiments in a Microgravity Environment

  • In this paper, we describe the development of a bioreactor for a cell-culture experiment on the International Space Station (ISS). The bioreactor is an experimental device for culturing mouse muscle cells in a microgravity environment. The purpose of the experiment was to assess the impact of microgravity on the muscles to address the possibility of long-term human residence in space. After investigation of previously developed bioreactors, and analysis of the requirements for microgravity cell culture experiments, a bioreactor design is herein proposed that is able to automatically culture 32 samples simultaneously. This reactor design is capable of automatic control of temperature, humidity, and culture-medium injection rate; and satisfies the interface requirements of the ISS. Since bioreactors are vulnerable to cell contamination, the medium-circulation modules were designed to be a completely replaceable, in order to reuse the bioreactor after each experiment. The bioreactor control system is designed to circulate culture media to 32 culture chambers at a maximum speed of 1 ml/min, to maintain the temperature of the reactor at $36{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, and to keep the relative humidity of the reactor above 70%. Because bubbles in the culture media negatively affect cell culture, a de-bubbler unit was provided to eliminate such bubbles. A working model of the reactor was built according to the new design, to verify its performance, and was used to perform a cell culture experiment that confirmed the feasibility of this device.

  • LMTT는 항만 자동화를 위한 수평 이송이 가능하도록 설계된 셔틀카(shuttle car)와 격자구조의 레인에 부착된 스테이터 모듈 (stator module)로 구성된 PMLSM(Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor)에 의해 구동된다 본 논문에서는 강도기준을 고려하고 경량화 설계를 위하여 셸(shell) 요소로 유한요소 모델링된 이동체(mover)의 구조최적설계를 수행하였다. 설계변수로는 가로 빔, 세로 빔, 휠 빔의 두께와 높이 방향의 치수를 결정하는 형상 변수를 포함시켰다. 목적함수로는 중량, 제한조건 함수로는 안전율이 고려된 응력으로 실정하였다.

시험도로 건설과 계측시스템 구축 (A Review of Instrumentation System and Construction of Korea Highway Test Road)

  • The cost needed for the construction and management of highways in the whole nation is rapidly growing so the research that can decrease the cost is required. However, most of the highway specs have simply converted from those of other countries, including USA. Therefore, some of our design and construction specs were not the optimum ones based on our own situation, requiring a research under the actual traffic and environment of our nation. The use of test road develops many aspects of highway engineering. Those are evaluation of construction materials, a general overview of korea pavement design and serviceability under the actual traffic and environmental condition of the nation. It is also economical and efficient compared to the trial construction of each item in spreaded form. A test road, 7.7km long with two lanes, is being constructed on the Inner Central Expressway. In this test road, 2.7km is planned for asphalt pavement and 3.4km is planned for concrete pavement. Three test bridges and five earth retaining structures will be included in the test road. Based on the master plan, the major performance was progressing such as detailed research modules of each area, preliminary research for the future research, sensor surveys for the behavior analyses of pavements and structures with installation methods and data acquisition systems, the foundation research of Integrated Instrumentation System and the Management Plan for automated measurement. Some area(structure research division, geotechnical research division) was designed the instrumentation plan because some instrument sensors must be installed during the construction of the test road. And then the instrumentation plan of each area was enforcing because a large majority of the instrument sensors must be installed after the construction of the test road. The field surveys with material property tests and pilot instrumentation test with sensor tests was also performing in accordance with the construction in the field.

  • 최근, 교수-학습 활동에서의 새로운 형태인 웹을 기반으로 한 교육(WBI:Web-Based Instruction)이라는 교수 모형이 제시되기에 이르렀다. 또한, 학습자의 요구에 맞는 코스웨어의 주문이 증가되고 있는 추세이며 그에 따라 웹 기반 교육 시스템에 효율적이고 자동화된 교육 에이전트의 필요성이 인식되고 있다. 그러나 현재 연구되고 있는 많은 교육 시스템들은 학습자 성향에 맞는 코스를 적절히 서비스해 주지 못할 뿐 아니라 지속적인 피드백과 학습자가 코스를 학습함에 있어서 취약한 부분을 재학습 할 수 있도록 도와주는 서비스를 원활히 제공하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 취약성 분석 알고리즘을 이용한 학습자 중심의 코스 스케쥴링 멀티 에이전트 시스템의 설계를 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 먼저 학습자의 학습을 지속적으로 모니터링하고 평가하여 개인 학습자의 학습 성취도를 계산하며, 이 성취도를 에이전트의 스케쥴에 적용하여 학습자에게 적합한 코스를 제공하고, 학습자는 이러한 코스에 따라 능력에 맞는 반복된 학습을 통하여 적극적인 완전학습을 수행하게 된다.

고속도로 고정식 과속단속시스템 설치위치별 효과분석 (Effect Analysis on the Location of Automated Speed Enforcement System in Highway)

  • 과속단속시스템은 지능형교통체계(ITS)의 한 영역인 첨단교통관리시스템(ATMS)으로서 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 그러나 과속사고를 방지하기 위해 설치된 시스템이 시거가 확보되지 않은 구간이나 급커브 지역 등에 설치됨으로써 추가적인 교통사고 위험을 내포하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고속도로의 기하구조별로 시스템 설치위치를 구분하고, 각 위치에서 발생한 교통사고 자료를 시스템 설치 전 후로 나누어 기하구조별 과속단속시스템의 설치 전 후의 사고건수(Frequency), 대물피해환산법(EPDO, Equivalent Property Damage Only)을 통한 사고심각도와 사고비용(Accident Cost)을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 연구수행 절차를 통해 시거가 충분히 확보되지 않는 구간에서의 과속단속시스템의 설치가 사고에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 최종적으로 과속단속시스템의 설치위치에 따른 영향을 분석하고자 한다.
